I have a 3080 graphic card that wont displayed on the monitor, I tried few Hdmi cables like 2.1 and the old HDMI but no display still, the funny thing is I can get display straight from fhs the motherboard only or if I insert a older GPU like 1060 I get a display, what should I look into next.

What motherboard? Windows recognize this GPU?

Any Chance ...

That this will be ported to Linux any time at all?

I don't mean 'it works in Linux', because it actually doesn't work in some Distros and not so well in others.

Just curious.

#crysx #cwi
Thanks for your question. I do understand the benefits of providing a more complete solution for Linux-based mining but there are unfortunately no plans for the near future to provide this.

Definetly works better with Windows. It's easy to understand as AM is probably developped in .net, probably C#. I gave up on linux, too much trouble.

'Linux' ...

Probably using Ubuntu - and you call it 'Linux' ... No - Linux is the OS and Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS and others are Distributions and builds of 'Linux'.

Linux itself is BY FAR easier and more flexible than Windows will EVER be. Take it from a Miner here that has been doing this for almost 12Years now, and has one of the Largest Mining Farms in the Southern Hemisphere.

Windows couldn't do 1/10th of what 'Linux' does in a heartbeat.

But thanks for your input anyway. C# is a copy and clutter of C++ in many ways that Miscrosoft Fuddles together. Still to this day, it requires MORE resources than C/C++ AND the remnants of a slow cumbersome operating System Called Windows (or at least the Base of Windows).

A Native Fedora/CentOS or Ubuntu/Debian Linux Port would show you how magnificently it proves My point in performance and Flexibility.

Unfortunately - this Wonderful package has no plans to go there, so We will continue using the Package We have, and the Management systems We have currently - which works VERY Well by the way anyway. It would have been nice if Awesome Miner was one of those Packages.

Sorry but what your are talking is so wrong. Linux is flexible yes if you know how. Linux is easier than windows? In no fucking way - search a random person on the street and speak with normal people about this - every normal person will say that windows is easier. Nearly every person on this planet can handle easy things on windows, but not on linux. Install a driver on windows is only clicking on buttons - and on linux?

And when you are so a tough guy, why you donīt build your own small linux distribution with all needed stuff for AM?
I do the same with windows, and i will build my own linux based on ubuntu in the next months - i must learn more about linux - because it is so easy  Roll Eyes as you said

I donīt see a point to use the AM main application on Linux distributions. You say you are using an complete package Browser based - Browser based  Roll Eyes what a crap - if you working with big networks, it is always better to use server/client based applications and not this browser shit. Why nowadays all is browser based - this sucks - to much security leaks.

One of the biggest farms in the southern hemisphere? Hmm any proof? I donīt heard about you and you support mainly low cap coins, so this looks not so big.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Ropsten Merge testnet starts on June 2 , How Ethereum price will react on: June 01, 2022, 10:27:56 AM
Eth will go down as low as possible, I am very much looking forward to this because vitalik has forgotten why ETH was a standalone warrior of a project, it's the only smart contract project using PoW algo but not anymore, ETH without PoW feels empty.

On which planet you are living? There are enough other Projects with PoW and smartcontracts. ETH is the biggest at the moment sure, but ETC,ZIL,CLO and so on. PoW is not an algo, it is an consensus mechanism.

I use this to restart my rigs. I connect via anydesk/teamviewer to the control computer in my farms and restart the rig via the web gui of the controller.

Hi Patrike,

i use the activity log and it is nice, but is it possibly to specify the source a little bit? It would be good to show the name of the rule that was triggert. I have many rules for tags, and at the moment i only see - source = rule, typ = miner and action = tags. But showing the rule name make it easier to find a failure for example. I know i can see the rule history with the rule name, but a little bit more information for the activiy log would be nice.

Thanks

Just got a license for 2 rigs to get out of HiveOS.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to overclock any of my 10 GPUs on the first rig where I want tot test AM.

RIG OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Linux agent installed  (RIG is fully managed by AM)
Rig discovered by AM Windows app
Can stat mining... but useless as I can't at least set fan speeds to what I want. Overheat within a minute and I have to stop it
GPUs: RTX A4000 and RTX A2000 and one RTX 2060 super

Error message I get: Unable to read GPU information.

Should I conclude that overclocking feature is useless for a mining rig running on a Linux OS?  if so, I will have to ask a refund as I don't want to run on Windows
Please try to run the following to re-initialize the configuration for nVidia overclocking:
sudo nvidia-xconfig -a --cool-bits=31 --allow-empty-initial-configuration
sudo reboot

Thanks for the update!  We made a step forward, I can now see one GPU out of 10. I see only GPU ID: 0. It is probable something related about xorg or screen or else... sould I reinstall AM service?

Alos noticed lot of errors in the agent log

also I'm running uBuntu 22 and not 20 like stated earlier.  I wil test with uBuntu 18 this week-end

Use the HiveOS distribution. It works well with AM, easy and fast install.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner (Ethereum Ethereum classic Vertcoin Zilliqa 0.5% fee)LHR unlock on: May 23, 2022, 08:15:33 AM
I tried 4000 but seems too high for Ethermine, too many stale shares.

Yes too high for ethermine, but works good on 2miners.com, nanopool.org , miningpoolhub.com and around 50% of the largest pools for ethereum.

https://github.com/sp-hash/TeamBlackMiner/blob/main/FAQ.md

I used to mine on 2miners but profit declined so I moved to Ethermine. Default settings are ok for stales, I'll monitor the average hashrate that seems just a little lower compared to Gminet/T-Rex but shares are absolutly very close, so probably TBM is not inflating a bit

Ok, nice with no screenshot for a prove, or a timespan. How long did you mine with every miner and compared it?
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI 1080 hashrate problems please help on: May 19, 2022, 08:10:51 AM
1. The 10x0 series (Pascal GPU) decrease the hashrate with every new DAG Epoch - the bigger the DAG - the slower the GPU. I think you see old results. If you mine another coin - ETC for example with only 3GB DAG compared to ETH with near 5GB DAG - you will get 40mh again.
2. you can push the card a little bit with higher core clocks to get the hashrate back, but for sure the power consumption is also higher.
3. donīt play with PL. PL - POWER LIMIT - why setting this? There is no reason. Set a fixed core clock and fixed voltage for the GPU - you can get better results, it is more stable and it makes more sense.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - Multialgo, autoexchange, 0.5% fee, 250+ coins on: May 18, 2022, 09:57:02 AM
I have noticed on some occasions that the pool stratum difficulty doesn't match the miner.
It seems to only happen for certain algos and certain difficulties.

I'm seeing it right now on lyra2z. The pool is operating at diff 6.2 but he miner says it's 6.
This result in some low difficulty shares when the submitted share diff is between 6 and 6.2.
The rejected shares are mostly noise and don't affect performance.

I have not noticed the pool difficulty being lower than the miner but that would be a silent error
not easilly noticed. This would result in lost performance because the miner would discard shares
that would be accepted by the pool.

Changing stratum difficulty sometimes resolves the issue unless vardiff changes it back.

I had used sd=1 on the command line, stratum responded with 6 but the pool used 6.2.
I tried with sd=6.2 but stratum still responed with 6.

I tried sd=8 and it was accepted, both the stratum response and the pool said 8 as they should.
But vardiff stepped in and lowered the diff and they mismatched again.

I noticed this problem 6 months ago, but i thought this is normal. Pool did not response to the sd=* argument. So now i know it is not normal - i hope we get an information about that.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3080ti on: May 17, 2022, 01:30:30 PM
If you are able to handle AMD rx580 rig you can handle anything, Nvidia is even less stubborn than AMD, download Nicehash quick miner and fire on.

Only if you have not enough knowledge. And you using Nicehash quickminer so i am right  Cheesy

AMD or Nvidia doesnīt matter, on every gpu brand you have good and bad cards, but the newest releases from both manufacturer are very equal in OC.

I know now dudes will come and say - AMD hotter and such shit. Sorry guys but thats bullshit and i am out of a discussion about this subject.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Black Pill hashrate enlarger Tool v1.0 for NVIDIA LHR cards on: May 17, 2022, 11:20:25 AM
I would have used this pill (had it increased my hashrate).

The pill works and does increase your hashrate. Why don't you test it.

He test it, but you hide the fee and thats the problem. Donīt ignore the half of his post.

sp__ why do you so much strange things? Jaydee asked on the first page why not open source - After this question you must be transparent, but you havenīt told us about your "fee".

On every project you hide informations, verthash miner with strange devfee direct after start for 30mins - you changed this after some versions - but only because some users weren't so pleased.

Your smear campaign against Teamredminer, T-rex and gminer.

Teamblackminer inflate hashrate by 10%, features in your feature list are not working (verthash+zil = you need an extra miner, ETC+Zil also not working.....)

I appreciate your work and this LHR pill, but why must this pill trigger the LHR lock? The LHR lock can be trigger by the mining software and on this point the pill must reset the lock counter. This can be done without "devfee" connection.

Good morning girls, I got a 3080ti msi gaming x trio 12G and I would like to have it undermined eth. can someone give me two tips for how to make it make the most of it? do you have to change the bios? I already have 10 580 8gb with bios mod, must be done the same thing? thanks to who helps me

No Bios change. You must only find the best OC settings for your card. You can find some good clocks for the start at hashrate.no.

I have installed from yesterday the new version 0.26.1 it's very unstable.
My cards are ASUS RTX 3060 LHR.
Nvidia drives: 512.15
OS: windows 10 pro
With MSI settings: power 64% (108watt)
                            core clock: -190
                            memory clock: +1250
MH/s: 48-49 each card.
All night the cards crashed  from 3 to 10 times.

Try the new 0.26.2 beta or lower your memclocks. On some cards you need to do this with full hashrate.

275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2miners problems maybe ? on: May 13, 2022, 11:48:26 AM
I use this pool weeks ago but not recently, they can avoid paying more satoshis or Nano when BTC dumped, that may be the case but dont worry they will pay, you can reach them on their telegram channel, it should be available on the pool website.

I am not worried as I still continue to mine there and of course they will pay because they get huge fees from the many miners mining there so it would be stupid if they decide to do nasty things.I hope I can receive these 2 payments today as I am already 100% on the other payment as you can see from the picture, just wanted to see some other ideas of what is happening as the delay is near 48 hour now,not a common thing here.

pinned message in the telegram group - the mempool is overloaded - payments delayed

No merge this year or you also believe in santa claus. The history show it - we speak about PoS since 2016 or 2017 and nothing happens. I know we are closer than ever before, but no not this year  Cheesy
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: msi 5500xt 4gb, ubuntu 20.04, amdgpu 20.45 on: May 12, 2022, 08:08:18 AM
hello there,

I try to get 5500xt working under ubuntu (to mine etc) but I seem to hit a dead end ... I mean lshw shows that amdgpu is used, lm-sensors show allkind of info ... everything seems to be working just none of the miners find the card ... I use the same rig to mine with old r9 390 and it works perfectly ... amdgpu is installed with --opencl=legacy,rocm ... so in theory it should be just plug it in and start mining but like I said none of the miners recognize the card ... what am I doing wrong ? am I missing something Smiley

also rocm-smi do not know that there's 5500xt ...

thank you for any hints Smiley

Use newer driver, this old driver will not recognize your card - so no miner can find your card.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: T-Rex 0.26.1 Ethash (100% LHR unlock and dual mining) GPU miner on: May 11, 2022, 09:57:27 AM
what exactly has been changed now so that you can get the full performance from the most of all LHR cards.
I am only interested in what has been implemented now, some key / certificate / code from NVIDIA itself.

Has something been leaked?

I think nvidia leak the right infos - because they cleanup there warehouses for the new gpu generation.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner (Ethereum Ethereum classic Vertcoin Zilliqa 0.5% fee)LHR unlock on: May 11, 2022, 09:45:11 AM
Update:
I did get a timeout on the AMD GPU about 5 1/2 hours after a reboot.  Cards crashed (still showed as hashing for about 4 minutes, but the calculated Hashrate/W jumped up):

Try to run all the AMD cards in once instance, and the nvidia cards in one instance of the miner.

------------

TBM 100% LHR unlock is coming soon.. My testcard's core clock is dropping to 900 when I boost the memory clock, and this is hurting the performance.

I read that others have the same problem, but perhaps I can tweak the kernel to use lower memory temps.

edit:

Stable test. Will let it run over night.

Shitty clocks on my 3080ti card because it trottle, but managed to tune it abit better. Kernel 0 with 9991 intensity.

If core drops when you raise the mem clock - you run into the powerlimit - increase it.
I have seen similiar things on 1 of my 2060S, all of this cards run at 45mh, on 1 card, if i raise the mem - the coreclocks drops to 750. For me it makes no sense because the card only use around 120w, but the powerlimit in the bios is a little bit lower than all other cards and i canīt increase the pl over 100% it is kept there.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: T-Rex 0.25.15 Ethash (+LHR unlock and dual mining) GPU miner on: May 11, 2022, 09:03:26 AM
Latest T-Rex 0.26 is very unstable under RaveOs 8820-2060, even in stock OC.
GPU fault & Reboot every 20-60 minutes.
I'm seeing the same in Windows 10, also with stock OC. Unable to find nonce. Restarts every 10-20 minutes.

Now the final version is out - very stable and more poolside hashrate than NBminer
