401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto mining spare parts works differently? on: February 25, 2022, 10:59:43 AM
I have always 20 or more riser at mining farm. If something goes wrong with the cable or so  - i change the whole riser with all cables to be sure that all is fine. So in my opinion it is good choice to have some spare riser at home. But i only change riser maybe 1 time in 6 months or so.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto to mine after ETH2 on: February 25, 2022, 08:26:17 AM
when eth 2.0 comes out i’ll be mining ethereum classic on my mining rigs.
First will mine some turtle for the future (for possible increase) then i will be on ravencoin. Ravencoin has a future. White paper is awesome as i read.

What coin is turtle I've not heard of it, mining Ethereum Classic is like throwing away money unless you want to hold for long term, right now it's not profitable to mine at all, mining Alephium, TON, Ravencoin is more profitable than ETC.

ETC ist the next biggest GPU mineable network after ETH and many dudes mine it with 4GB cards. You can also dual mine it with TON or ALPH (or triple mine with ZIL), so i don´t think you throw money away - ETC and RVN are on the same reward level, but ETC needs much less power.

ETC has much potential and it is easy to convert dapps from ETH to ETC after the merge, if the developers wants PoW for the security and not this PoS stuff.

But no one has a glass sphere and can tell us what will happen - i mine ETH as long as i can and see what happens after the merge in 2023 or 2024  Cheesy or later XD
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.46a: Improved performance for Ton dual mining on: February 24, 2022, 10:32:04 AM
Is dual mining actually worth it?

Make your own calculation with whattomine? Or you are to lazy?  Roll Eyes

Short yes but you are to late for dual mining eth with ton - ton reward decreased bei 50% - and it is over in 2 - 3 month - because the givers bleeding out.

Hashrate for my 6900XT

61mh eth + 5gh ton use around 220w = double profit last month
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Driver issues with MSI RX 470 on: February 23, 2022, 01:50:47 PM
Had a dreaded W10 update hit my personal PC overnight and now I can't get a driver to work on my MSI 470.

Thanks in advance for any tips!
For my Rx 470 I used Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7. Maybe new versions have support for more graphics cards, but this was the last version that worked stably before I started using Hive OS.

If this does not help, then you can flash the original BIOS and mine with a lower hashrate, but you will not have problems after the updates.

If you have a mining farm, then use Hive OS.

No has nothing to with more support. Newer versions of Atikmdag patcher is only for supporting newer driver versions. But the idea flashing the original bios is a good point to start.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LHR to Full hashrate incoming soon allegedly 02/26/2022 on: February 23, 2022, 12:06:55 PM
I just get the feeling it's not a typical crypto stealing scam, the pitch is too weird. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I dont know but it looks like in some way about that it can be a crypt stealing scam and bad software that can hack the infected PC.
There are some signs already , as the Github Account is just a few days old and how many Threads and posts we have seen in the last weeks and month here on the Forum
with fake github accounts for the " LHR-Pill and such things. I would be not surprised if this is something similar .
Definitely would be careful with that when there is something to download .

It is similar - i described it well - how the hell will he boost the hashrate for RTX A2000, RTX A4000 and so on? This cards have no hashrate lock!!!! If he really unlock something then RTX A4000 and RTX 3070 must have the same hashrate.
This fake pills also say they can boost hashrate for complete optimized old cards - but people still fall for it.

I am scared about the fact that so many youtubers, hardware tech foren and so on make news about this "unlocker" and do no own research. They give him a lot of range with it for his scam, and that they don´t delete this wrong news.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: February 23, 2022, 08:13:08 AM
Version 9.2.3 (Development preview of 9.3)

 ASIC mining
  - External Miner configuration is based on a ASIC hardware selection for ASIC miners (no software selection needed). Network scan is also updated to reflect this.
 GPU mining
  - Improved support for AMD Radeon Pro W6600 and BC-250 on Linux
  - User defined mining software improvements for dual mining
 Features
  - Create API keys per user account making it possible to define limited and read-only API keys
 User interface
  - Display last known worker name for disconnected External Miners
  - Updated description for a number of permissions for user groups
 Mining software
  - Gminer 2.78
  - Lolminer 1.45
  - SrbMiner-Multi 0.9.1
  - TeamBlackMiner 1.55
  - TeamRedMiner 0.9.2.1, incl. update to Awesome Miner integration related to the eth_worker parameter and watchdog
  - T-Rex miner 0.25.6, incl. update to Awesome Miner integration for dual mining setup

Hey Patrik, thanks for integration of dual mining speed reading for srbminer, but i have found an issue. I see both hashrates as the second hashrate and the first hashrate is always 0. Or is this maybe only when i am mining randomx+epic? Did not test ETH+ALPH.

Can you please send me the API report for this one via PM? Awesome Miner typically tries to figure out the coins being used via the Dual Mode setting, where ETH+ALPH is the only one available right now.

Sure i will send you the api report.

Version 9.2.4 (Development preview of 9.3)

 ASIC mining
  - Added support for Innosilicon A6+
 GPU mining
  - Add a concept of secondary pool to simplify dual mining without having to use pool groups
 User interface
  - Hide buttons in the user interface not relevant for certain ASIC miner types
 Mining software
  - Gminer 2.79
  - Lolminer 1.46
  - TeamBlackMiner 1.56
  - TeamRedMiner 0.9.3
  - T-Rex miner 0.25.8
 Corrections
  - Correction to coin trigger to also support user defined cons
  - Correction to Firmware mining profile trigger
  - Correction to network discovery not processing all IP address ranges in case of a single range with invalid IP address syntax

Nice update for dual mining - but it not working correctly - if i choose t-rex and eth+blake3 - i only can choose eth pools for the secondary coin - but i can´t choose the blake3 / alph pool.

Version 9.2.4 (Development preview of 9.3)

  - Lolminer 1.46

Updated it 10 minutes ago, now rigs refuse to start with LOLminer, diagnostics shows this:

Failed to start mining process. Is the Windows Service 'IntelliBreeze Software Maintenance Service' not running?  I'm pretty sure all frameworks libraries are installed with windows updates.

lolminer delete version 1.46 and added 1.46a. So the download link is wrong and thats why you getting this error. Change the auto download link from lolminer and it works again.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner 0.9.1 - Ethash/FiroPow/Kawpow/Etchash/Autolykos2 and More on: February 22, 2022, 01:34:07 PM
Can someone help. Got the newest version of trm. It supports Polaris. I get 0 soc mhz and gives me like 2mh. Compute is on.  Phoenix gives me 31 hashed. I’m trying dual  mining. I get full ton hashrate however.  Any experts?

Without any information - no one can help you. OS, Driver, Commandline, OC settings and so on or you think we all have a glass sphere?

Soc is 0 for polaris GPU´s

31mh on phönix are inflated hashrate - in real are 2 -5% less - TRM give more poolside hashrate

maybe first start with eth mining only on TRM - if this work than you can add the TON parameters.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte GTX 1080 Micron weirdness on: February 22, 2022, 11:35:07 AM
when it comes to overclocking memory thats already overclocked thru timings is a bad idea and it creates instability and can force the card to set different timings then intended by the pill. gtx 1080 gets lower hashrate as soon as you increase memory frequency.

Dude can you stop writing bullshit? Overclocking and tied timings is no problem, everyone do it on this way for years now.

Hello!

K so, I'm mew to GPU-mining. I bought a BTC-T37, 1600w PSU and three 1060 6GB Asus cards and got it all working very good in hiveOS, more cards on the way.

Today I got a Gigabyte "GTX 1080 8 GB G1 Gaming" with  Micron GDDR5X memory. I watched the youtubes and searched the interwebs for where to start and all went well until I activated "the pill".

In t-rex I get a "can't find nonce" error before crash, in phoenixminer and MBminer I also get errors. The card says "rev 1.0" on it so I set the pill delay to -50 and just by a fluke I tested some settings that some youtuber had (core 50, mem 500, PL 110, pill on) with NBminer and it started hashing at 30Mh+ Wonderful!, but... as soon as I try another miner, it crashes. As soon as I change any frequency or PL value, it crashes. The only way I have found to make it get going again is to turn off the pill, reboot the worker, let it get going on the above mentioned values in NBminer for a couple of minutes, and then turn on the pill. Been stable for 3 hours with 100% accepted shares now.

Any ideas?

My monitors broke and I only have laptops so I can't check motherboard bios settings until I get a monitor (on it's way). When it crashes, oftentimes any restarted miner can't find any GPU at all, that tells me it can be a bios setting issue (like Gen 1, gen 2 etc), but I don't know...

Regards,

maxpax

Such high mem clock is not needed anymore and the pill is useless. Use --mt 2 parameter is more useful. PciE Gen1 or 2 is not needed, i never set this option in the last 5 years.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins to mine with 2GB GPUs? on: February 22, 2022, 11:22:56 AM
Not possible, Tried my 1030 nothing happened lol.
No way it’s even removable possible on any platform. You need 6gb vram onboard memory. at least 6gb ram minimum with new dag.

What a stupid shit XD TOn has no DAG, and need nearly 0 = zero Vram
6GB onboard memory? What is this?  Roll Eyes
Only your card is not supported by the miner and thats it. Sometimes it is better to write nothing  Wink

Is anyone mining toncoin using small GPUs with 2GB vram? This coin is very new and has good utility too, it was very profitable to mine weeks ago but I don't know about the present mining reward on ton coin is, I'm sure that 2gb cards can mine this coin too

Toncoin is not really new, and you can mine it for maybe 4 - 6 weeks, after the last giver is dry - PoW is over. You can mine it with 2GB cards, only be sure that the miner support your gpu

With a 2gb ram card aion and all the coins on the cryptonight gpu algorithm such as ryo, equilibria and conceal are mined very well

Yes good answer  Smiley

don't know if it's true until it gets released and someone is the test dummy...  Cheesy Grin

if it's not true i'll just delete this post..

This is scam - all RTX Ax000 cards have no Hashrate lock  Cheesy so why they need a unlocker? at this point everybody must see the scam in my opinion. A nice looking gui? For a developer is this the last thing to build.
Don´t share this video or link to the "developer" and give him attention! - this is the only thing he want.

The next guy who didn´t read anything. THE MINER HAVE NOT ENOUGH SHARES FOR 17 HOURS OF MINING AND THIS HASHRATE. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT OR SHOULD I TRANSLATE IT FOR THAT YOU TO UNDERSTAND THIS? It is no magic to make an "programe" to inflate the hashrates.

PEOPLE ARE SO STUPID  Roll Eyes

Just gotta correct you here - even though the video is obviously faked, you cannot tell this from the amount of shares submitted alone - most pools implement some form of variable difficulty (vardiff) to keep shares coming at a certain rate. Therefore, if the hashrate *was* legitimate, their diff would be higher, but the number of shares submitted would be similar to that of a slower miner.

1. Sure wolf - but he use ethermine - i am also on ethermine - ethermine has no vardiff - so i can count the shares to compare it  Cheesy

2. Or i am wrong and ethermine use vardiff? If so than you are wrong because i have different share numbers for different hashrates  Wink

One of this are right - i think it is the first one

Chill Dude!
You should know how satire works!
My first gear is 2 AnTMiner S1 (first-gen AnTMiner) in late 2013/early 2014 (iirc), I'm starting GPUs mining with R9 series (290/290X/295 X2) - I know what on the video!  Cry

Isn't good and maybe fun to make OP think hard to prove it here?  Shocked

Adding PFP - might also trigger OP to post proof of his video later!  Cheesy

414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good price for 2060 super on: February 21, 2022, 09:48:40 AM
^^^ 2060 12gb can do around 37+ mhs, regular 2060 (6gb) around 32+ mhs, I have both (Palit Duals), on locked core clocks 12gb version draws around 98w, 6gb version draws around 88w

if 2060Supers were available here for $440 I'ld buy them

And how is it possible for the 12GB version to achive 37mh? This must be result in very very high mem oc.

Normal 2060 Super has 448.0 GB/s on stock - around 38mh
2060 12GB has 336.0 GB/s on stock - 32mh - to achieve 38mh you need 33% higher mem clock and this is not possible. I only saw around 35mh for this cards.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can I really make over $500 a day mining zcash from a laptop? on: February 21, 2022, 09:42:20 AM
I don't think that will happen. It is only written in books and will never be the same in reality. Nowadays, making a profit of $500 a day is very hard unless you have a lot of mining rigs that can give you a lot of returns. In addition, mining with a laptop is not recommended and you are better off using mining rigs to start mining. It's better that you recalculate everything before deciding because mining is very different from before.

yes this will not happen - because he take the wrong hashrate for his calculation. Is here someone who read the whole thread, comment or click on the links? Most answers in this forum misses completely the question of the OP.

according to https://minerstat.com/algorithm/equihash

a laptop with a 3050ti with a 22250 KH/s has rate ( 22.25 MH) can make up to $500 a day mining z cash.

is this for real, is mining this profitable again?? I been gone for 5 years someone talk to me!

https://www.wepc.com/news/nvidia-rtx-3050-hashrate-mining-crypto/

Currently, the hashrate for the RTX 3050 mobile is 22.25 MH/s, as we do not yet have numbers for what the desktop model is able to reach. We will be sure to update this as the desktop version of the graphics cards releases to make sure that you have everything you need to know about the RTX 3050 hashrate.

GMiner v2.79 available for download

v2.79
+ added Ethash + TON solver for Nvidia GPUs, LHR and non-LHR cards are supported.
Use --dual_intensity or -di command line argument to control TON mining impact on Ethash.
Miner automatically tune dual intensity by default.
Ethash fee is 1.5%, TON fee is 0%
+ added TON solver for Nvidia GPUs (fee is 2%)
+ fee for Ethash mining in single mining mode is 1%

It does not have the active option to set the second algorithm, in this case TON !

algo is set like this:

--algo eth+ton
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fear of building new rig on: February 21, 2022, 07:32:27 AM
Can other altcoins handle miners hash rates once ETH is out of the picture in June? This is what's still keeping me away from building some new mining rigs presently, what do you think will happen?

Why fear? The good thing with GPU mining is - you can mine many other currency - sure the profitability of every other coin will drop if ETH go to PoS (maybe in 2023 but not this year, Vitalik will test his PoS on Doge first  Cheesy) - but it will raise again after a certain time - same things happen after Litecoin mining was over for GPU´s or BTC mining.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good price for 2060 super on: February 21, 2022, 07:04:55 AM
440$ for 45MH is tempting I guess the card is a used one, this is the exact price for a brand new gtx1660 super in my country 30MH vs 45MH have a big difference I will buy that 2060 super if I were you.

Yes i think used one, but this is no problem in my opinion. 80% of my cards are used one and some of it are mining for 4 years now  Cheesy

The 2060 Super is a very good card, but no much dudes care about it - they have same hashrate like a RTX3070LHR and use less power and cost half of the price last year.

I have ordered a 2060 12 GB which does 38 Msh at 95 watt for 520 EUR new and I am going to order another one of that if I am satisfied with this card how it performs in general.

38mh for the 12GB version? Not really - it does the same like the normal 6Gb because they have the same memory specs - so with very high Mem OC it should be around 35mh - but this is really high OC

Hey guys!
TON dual mining soon?

Use lolminer - it is not worth to implement it - its over in a few weeks.

I am using, but with lolminer i cannot do --mlock, they only support --cclk
Also, i am hearing more and more TON going of PoW, can you please reference me to a readout or somrthing?

Yes here you can find how much every giver bleeding out, how much days they have to bleed out. If they all dry - PoW is over.

https://ton.org/mining

And yes lolminer is crap - to much bugs for me - he add new features without good testing - mostly the half not working and so on.
