241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080Ti ETH hash miner 2022 edition on: July 05, 2022, 10:27:36 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5289066.0

Low 40's is normal for the 1080ti and it will only get lower due to a known bug suffered by the 10x0 series excluding the 1070ti where it was fixed.

1080Ti has gone from 55 to 43mh in 5 years and 1070 has gone from about 33mh to 25mh.
It was not fixed with the 1070ti either. Used to get 34 mh/s easily with 1070ti cards. Now they are getting 29-30 mh/s. Meanwhile my RX580 cards happily mine at a little over 32 mh/s. They actually improved over the years. The 1070 cards also lost hashrate.

The 1070ti lose hashrate with DAG´s above 4GB, it was lightly better than all other Pascal GPUs. All other lose hashrate above 3GB DAG size.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: July 05, 2022, 08:51:10 AM

That was the setting that i already disabled as i thought that was the cause.

You have to high OC on your cards. I have the same problem on some GTX1660S - with to high mem oc the rig must restart after stop mining - but it can run for days if i don´t restart it.

Hi patrike,
can you change the OC settings for Nvidia cards to set locked core clock and locked core voltage? I hope it is possible.
And any plans for more voltage settings for the newer AMD cards (RX5700, RX6800 for example) like SoC Voltage, Mem Voltage?

The dualmining in SRBMiner has changed a littlebit and need a extra argument and it is also possible to dual mine with Kaspa (KHeavyhash). Can you take a look in it?

Thanks for updating the activity log  Grin but can you change the colors for the dark mode?  Wink
The current method Awesome Miner uses for the lock is only able to lock one of these properties.

Remote Agent on Linux actually supports these properties - I will investigate how to support it on Windows as well.

Thanks for your comments about the activity log as well.

Thanks for the explanation, i appreciate your work  Smiley
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone having issues with AMD Rig Builds ?? on: July 05, 2022, 07:57:53 AM
Just bought the following components and its gonna be my First AMD Rig, am having tremendous issues getting things to work !

Components:-

MSI B450M-A PRO MAX
AMD Athlon 3000G 3.5GHz Dual-Core Quad-Thread Tray Processor CPU YD3000C6M2OFH AM4 Socket
CRUCIAL BASICS SERIES 8GB 2666Mhz DDR4 CL19 Pc Ram CB8GU2666

2x 3080 Ti
2x 3090
1x 3070 Ti (seems broken i dunno)

I went ahead and connected all cards to risers and then to the board, but am not getting a Signal on my monitor, been trying for nearly 2 days !

Anyone having the same issue of not getting Signal on their monitor ??...

thanks,

How do you connect 5 cards to this board? You connect your monitor with the mainboard or the first gpu? You set the IGP as first GPU in bios? What Powersupply? Enable Above 4G in Bios?

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low hashrate when Core clock is low (3070 FE) on: June 29, 2022, 08:27:42 AM
check every power connection (sockets on riser, psu, card)..minor burns makes the gpu power draw smaller. degraded thermal pads and thermal paste makes gpu components to throttle down to protect the components from overheating thus lower performance.
Well the 3070 is brand-new and I'm not using risers. I've checked temps with HWinFO: main GPU is at 65°C, hot spot is at 76°C... so I don't think it's a thermal issue. Huh
Graphics cards have different type of memory, some have Hynix, some have Samsung and some have Micron, on my graphic cards I get a better hashrate when I turned down my Hynix Core clock to 0, this is just normal downclocking and it has no bad effect on the GPU.
Hold on are you talking about the GPU (core) clock or the memory clock ? I am a bit confused.
I've seen many users sharing their afterburner settings with very low core clock (-500MHz) and very high memory clock (+1000MHz), getting about 60mh/s. Yet the issue is that my hashrate drops significantly when decreasing the core clock.

Dude you speak about the ETHEREUM hashrate, you get 60 MH/s with +1000mem and -500core, but FLUX is an other algo, 60mh in Eth (ETHASH algo) doesnt mean you get 60 SOLS on FLUX (EQUIHASH 125,2 or so)

Hi Patrike,

update for BZminer and dualmining etc/eth+kaspa?

How good will AM recognize FPGA cards? I will start some tests in August.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please note that miner prices are about to rise on: June 28, 2022, 09:34:42 AM
The price of mining machines is about to rise. Now the prices of machines are very low. Is it a good time to buy?

The price will not rise in the bear market, it will fall because the profitability fall in the same way.

With energy prices on the rise, prices declining, hardware will become cheaper. You can already see it in the Videocard rigs. Getting lower and lower. If the bear enter to november, i know I will start my mining operations again. Simply they provide warmth and i expect the prices to be very very low. In a way it is cheaper and more fun to do. Don't know if bitmain will rise their prices, but they will be shooting themself, because with current difficulty and energy prices, miners have to dump their btc.

All prices for ASIC's decrease from day to day. I'm also waiting for the right GPU flood, at the moment used GPUs in Europe are still too expensive.

hey guys, i got low hash result with hiveOS setup with my giga5700x,

I already tried a lot of presets, and noOne get +-50mhs,

Anyone have a good preset ?

lol did you set the PL to 80w? As I said every time - no one needs a power limit - there is no benefit in setting the PL, only trouble.
All you need is fixed clocks and fixed voltage - nothing more - no DPM, no PL !!!!!!

Your 6700xt use very much power - normal is under 80w in hiveos = 120w in real. You have 123w in hiveos, so you have around 160w in real from the wall.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner (Ethereum Ethereum classic Vertcoin Zilliqa 0.5% fee)LHR unlock on: June 17, 2022, 09:52:58 AM
v1.02 of The Black Pill 100% LHR unlocker released.

for sometimes i managed to run it on hiveos and working well. i noticed at some point find out some jumping hashrate 54-61mhz and power 125-137w. Pill need a bit more improvement on LHR 100% unlock stability.

https://ibb.co/Vgphyt0

This jumping hashrate and power is when the DevFee for the Pill kicks in  Wink Cheesy
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Death of Etheruem mining - Predicitions on: June 17, 2022, 09:51:06 AM
late 2024 - 2025 not earlier, the devs wait for the start of the next bullrun and most asics have 6gb ram and this is enough for mining until 2024  Wink

Why 1060 3gb dont work with lol miner in hiveos, mining ergo? Ergo dag is below 3gb and it says memory error??

the miner has a problem after the new epoch. lollidieb is working on it.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW Goldshell asic miner on: June 09, 2022, 01:44:34 PM
KD LITE 16.2T/1330W
KD MAX 40.2T/3350W

Anyone know about these two new machines?

These are Kadena miners. What do you want to know? It's an Asic and that's it. No sorry I forgot - too expensive as nearly any Goldshell Asic - you won't get your money back  Wink
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how to run 12 to 19 gpu in linux on: June 09, 2022, 12:56:32 PM
Ive got 12 rigs with 13 gpus each on linux.  Nothing needed changing on the linux just the right mobo…H110+

Nothing to do with the mobo, you can run 13 cards on every mobo with a splitter. In the past, the solution was to mix the gpu´s - AMD and Nvidia.

Hope to see some improvements for more GPU´s than 13 under Linux.

@david739

you use a normal Linux Distro? This will not work with more than 7 GPU from the same brand, you must mix it with 6 nvidia and than it will work. This was the only way in the past for this old linux kernels

EDIT:
here is an part of the asrock advice:

Materials you need
1. ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ motherboard
2. Total power supply up to 2400W
3. Adapter for dual power supply (Optional)
4. PCIe riser kit*13
5. 13*AMD/8*AMD + 5*NVIDIA graphic cards.
6. Dedicated frame for 13 VGA mining
7. SSD boot drive
8. Minimum 4GB RAM (8GB is recommended)
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how to run 12 to 19 gpu in linux on: June 09, 2022, 11:45:21 AM
I have some rigs with 13 or more GPU´s since 2017 on windows - no problem. Linux cannot handle so much GPU´s out of the box, but you can expand it to over 20. 12 is ok on HiveOS out of the box i think.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 08, 2022, 08:29:39 AM

Never mind him, he tends to lash out at things he does not understand.
I found the HiveOS distro to work nicely with AM. I just had to putty in and install AM service on Linux and it ran pretty flawlessly for a long time( think it was about 6 months on some old and newer AMD cards). I can not speak for the stability today as I have sold all AMD cards and changed everything over to windows now. I also use the machines for rendering and non of the software I currently run works on Linux(or AMD).

I don´t understand things? Ah ok? What things? Give me an example?
You used my description for Zilswitcher and AM, but say i don´t understand things.

You are one of this guys, who can´t handle ETH+Zil in the past, but sure i am one who not understanding something  Roll Eyes

Talk tough? ...

Not likely!

Positioned (as as SINGLE MINER) against the TOTAL HashRate Capacities of EquiHash Pools - number 9 for ZEN and Number 12 for ZEC.

Then again - no need for proof. We will just shift the hashrate as we see fit. As for the longevity I have in the CryptoIndustry AND the Legendary status here and on other Sites, along with the ONLY CryptoIndustry Company to have ASSETS based in Physical AND Virtual Places - I make My point quite astutely. Apart from the fact that My original Profession was IT NetWork And InfraStructure Engineer turned Consultant on an Eecutive Level - now CryptoTechnologist advisor and Deployment Consultant for some of the Largest Corporations AND Government bodies in Australia. But Hey - who am I to talk about a Windows to Windows Centric Professionals like yourself. Linux runs over 90% of the Worlds Serves, but it's SO HARD to setup as opposed to Windwos Servers - right?

There is an old saying - Never Argue with a Donkey. Silence is the best Policy because a Donkey will always follow the goal of being Right, rather than what IS right.

So I will stay silent now. Please - enjoy your victory on all your points, and how accurately portrayed they are on all levels.

I merely would like to see such Skill in Coding like AweSome Miner actually shows - on a DECENT Platform, rather than the flaky, unstable and hideously inept OS that Windows actually is. How do I know? I USED to be a Windows Certified Professional Engineer. Didn't I mention that? O OK. Apologies once again.

@patrike - apologies to you and all the others on the Thread for interrupting your flow wiht this superfluous and tedious argument over what can only be called a no win situation on My part. Please have My sincerest best wishes if you decide to delete it all if you feel the need to do so.

#crysx #cwi

Clap in the hands the number 12 zec pool wow - and this say to me - not so big  Wink

Wow and this is why you have so much effort? Sorry but what is a Windows Certified Professional Engineer - its a title nothing more, this will not show your skill.
No one talk about windows and linux server here, i know that nearly all server of the world run on linux - makes it not easier to use for normal people. Do you understand something of my text or you only here to show some of your useless titles? And it is easy to write something here with no proof. No one knows you, your homepage is a joke, as man with your titles, how can it be?

Did you check your homepage? nearly all your miningrigrentals links are worthless, no miner online. All you description is so worthless, only words and not more. And your cool old sayings says only that you can´t discuss. Run away is you solution.

And legendary state here is worth nothing. You only need much post and merits, wow you are legendary. You have nearly no follow on twitter, your discord is a joke but you are so big  Roll Eyes

Yes i won in all points, because you have no argument against it. GG
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to do in a bear market on: June 07, 2022, 01:05:58 PM
What to do in bear market???

Keep mining and HOLD. I have been mining since 2013 and always sold as i needed cash. If only i had held the coins i mined i would be a multi millionaire now. It's too late now to make a lot of money imo but you can still make good money but only if you hold for better prices in bull markets

No one can answer your question in the right way, because none of us can say what coin is more worth in the future.

I checked the  top100 coins today and dezember 2017, many of this coins are less or same worth like in 2017.

My advice = keep mining if your electricity bill is less than your monthly mining rewards, pay your electricity bill with crypto and hodl and swap the rest into BTC and HODL it
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to do in a bear market on: June 07, 2022, 12:50:23 PM
Is it possible that 2023 will be more bloody than 2022 bear market? I am trying to look back into the past, I think buying 50% of my portfolio in September 2022 and leaving the rest 50% for 2023 is the best strategy here, what do you think Sir Metroid.

It is difficult to buy at the bottom or to sell at the top, need to find the medium term, buying 20% as it goes down on every new bottom from now is good, for example btc bottom is 25k at the moment, if it goes below that then wait 2 days or so then buy 20% and repeat the process as for myself given the current market conditions, I will start buying bottoms below 15k, I'm not buying altcoins.
I still don't get it, why are you so against altcoins? All thanks go to altcoins because they are the reason why I have more money in my bank account and also some BTC in my wallet, it won't be possible for me without altcoin investments, I made more money from altcoins that what I am trying to say.

Yes maybe you have more money in bank account - higher chance to go x5 - x10 or more with altcoins, but also more risk to lose all - Terra Luna  Cheesy

Higher chance for big win = higher risk to lose all.

It sure looks like that,I also see very few newly created topics, when it was the top,a lot of people were creating new topics daily asking for help and also for advice on what GPU they should buy,how much money is considered normal to pay for that specific GPU,what was the max price anyone here would pay over MSRP for the specific card and so on the same for ASIC miners. The fact that Bitcoin price is having a lot of difficulty to bypass that 33.000 dollars mark from quite a lot of time can also be considered by many a vibe of a bear market.

The truth is though that we are far from a bear market as long as the price it stays above 30.000 dollars,I consider this to be a good price overall for Bitcoin and for people to continue to mine it,of course those who see value in this and believe in another bull run coming hopefully soon rather than late.

I don´t call it a bear market at this time, but the top is over, next top come in 3 years - maybe 2, but not earlier. People still believe we are in the "Super Cycle" or that we on the road, same happen in 2017/2018, people think this are normal correction and yes i agree, but this are bear market / downtrend market corrections. Price range between 20000 - 25000 dollar is really untraded - we will see this price again, the question is - when it happens.

Using R-Mode with 5700(XT) Seems to be quite unstable, at least for me..

EDIT: Even RX580 keeps crashing, totally random with cards, Rig was stable 9 months with LoL and now with TRM crashing all the time.
Maybe i will change back, i lose 100w but get stable rig...

Change your OC. If the OC work with lolminer is not meaning it will work with TRM. Go to discord channel and ask the devs, but mostly the problems is in front of the monitor  Cheesy

Usually, but not worth the fight for couple eurocents.

Not worth? When you have 200 GPU´s running than it is worth enough. TRM stable in all ways, R Mode no problem, some old polaris rigs save 20w and gained 2mh - nice optimization for this old cards.

Compared to lolminer the difference per 6 card polaris rig is over 60w less power and 3 - 4% more hashrate, for me, this is huge.
