921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH rig not working suddenly on: January 27, 2021, 02:13:20 PM
Usually when i saw 511 degree celsius temp the riser was dead, maybe one of the risers was a bit off

Yep this indicates a dead riser,  dead riser usb cable, dead riser pcie adapter in the slot or dead riser electricity cable.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 ETH Hashrate on: January 27, 2021, 01:27:42 PM
You need the ETH pill to improve your hashrate for that card but why gtx 1080? Because I'm sure the price will be high and a RX580 with 8gb video memory performance is more like gtx1080 when mining Ethereum, anyways the choice is yours

No one need a pill, use T-rex or nbminer.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How can such a high HashRate be achieved on: January 27, 2021, 01:26:02 PM
Brutal fake numbers.

RTX 3080 can do 90ish. RTX 3060ti can do 60ish. So fake imagen.

Sure?
People told exactly the same on the first images after ETHPill release.

There a some realy good coders out there.
But most likely only working for big farms without releasing software

It is fake, sure there are good coders around the world, but they can do no wonders. There are hardware specs and you can not change this. So where will they find around 50% more hashrate in code? And other coders didn´t find it?

And the pill only helps the miners to handle gddr5x better, nothing more.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are these eBay listings for BIOS updates legitt? on: January 25, 2021, 02:37:11 PM
I've come across a few of these BIOS listings on eBay while looking for extra 5600xt cards.

These listings all seem to have solid feedback ratings. I'm just struggling to find any content (Youtube videos, Reddit threads etc) discussing this BIOS flashes. Especially when they're offering sizable jumps in MH for the 5600XT/5700xt

For example https://www.ebay.com/itm/265008071618?ul_noapp=true

ty for your help/insight

And why you don´t do it by yourself? It is not hard and if you don´t want to do this, i can make you an bios for less money  Roll Eyes
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: alt coins have a Network Difficulty ? on: January 23, 2021, 08:40:29 PM
hello guys
good time

1. alt coins similar to (like) bitcoin and etherume, have a Network Difficulty ?

Now, if one of the alt coin profit is $1 per day, after 6 month that is $1 and stable ? or It decreases like bitcoin ?

2. is there a alt coin that does not have the network difficulty and the profit is the stable and dont decreases ?

thank you a lot

best regards

Your second point is also wrong. Not all coins decrease incoming: for example ethereum -> profit increased in the last month, no one knows how long, but at the moment you get more eth then like a year before.

Philipma1957 explained it very well.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on Windows 10 and possibly fixing lower than expected hashrate on: January 23, 2021, 07:47:52 PM
Hmm, it sounds like I'm hearing this for the first time but it's true, anyways I never like mining on windows OS for few reasons and as per hashrate issue mining on Linux OS works better and also we have hive OS and other mining OS now so I don't need windows OS, it's too buggy

To buggy for you. Please don't always generalize windows 10, if good guided people use windows, then there is no difference between windows and linux, but windows is user friendly, because most people can handle it.

Windows runs for month without restart or problems, same on linux. I need 5minutes to setup a new windows rig and i need 5minutes to setup a new linux rig
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual mining ETH + on: January 23, 2021, 07:42:22 PM
thanks for your reply..

now i am using phoenix miner and ethermine for eth..

can you show me how to mine dcr and eth? thanks

Dude, do you do something by yourself or you ask for all things? Read in the miner threads and learn how to mine.

Is it possible to do this kind of mining using a VPS?

Try it!!!!!!!!!!
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Press any key to continue... Problem on: January 23, 2021, 07:35:36 PM
Done, nothing was affected (wallets). Any ideas why the 1.19 stops mining with "Press any key to continue..."?

Use T-Rex miner for you nvidia card. It is better, for AMD you can use lolminer or teamredminer.

And without any information, it is hard to help:

OS, driver, algo, coin, commandline.

But i think you tried the wrong lolminer version and now you have a virus on your computer.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: January 22, 2021, 10:14:52 PM
Hi patrike,

AM did not change the order of the PCI Bus ID in GPU tab if i change the orders of the gpu´s.
What the GPU mapping is doing is to map the hashrates reported from the mining software to a specific GPU. In case Awesome Miner would show the hashrate for the wrong GPU, you can change the order to make this hashrate show up for another GPU.

So it isn't really for moving up/down a GPU in the list in general, but about moving up/down the hashrate and similar details from the mining software to make it show up for the correct GPU

Ok but the name, temp and clocks also change if i map the gpu´s. Only ID did not change in my case.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Two Nvidia 1060 cards with Lolminer on: January 22, 2021, 06:43:18 PM
I have been running one pc with a 1060 card on Lolminer for a while. I get 20MH/s. Then I added a 2nd 1060 card, and only get 20MH/s total.

I have tried everything, ddu uninstalling the drivers, etc, but no change. When I use Phoenix miner, no problem, 40MH/s.

Does anyone know why this is? I know that Phoenix solved the problem, but it just does mu ocd in that it doesn't work. Btw, I also have a pc with two rx580 cards on Lolminer and that runs fine.

Some experienced view/comments would be appreciated.

The trick temporaly is to run 2 instances... that happens in Windows... only add in the bat file --devices 0 and --devices 1 to the copy of the bat file. With that you will have 2 instances of the 20Mhs without any problem.

This is not a trick and no solution, only avoid the problem.

@JohnyBitcoin

can you give us more information about your system? Give us your commandline and by the way, for nvidia cards it is better to use T-Rex miner, faster and more shares on poolside for nvidia cards. For AMD lolminer is good.

933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Digibyte Mining on: January 22, 2021, 12:03:40 PM
Hi there
I'm still new to mining about 6 months ago I started (Antminer S9 and together with a friend S19pro)
my question
have now tested it for a month with Digibyte dismantling and taken 700Doller!
why don't so many people do that, is there a problem?
and there you also have the opportunity to keep them and set the course for improvement, which is certainly possible with Digibyte!
and 700Dollar is a lot for the equipment !!

what do you think of Digibyte don't know whether we should stick with it and keep it or not?

thank you, have a nice day

If you are mining BTC, you will get more.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will history repeat itself? (4GB GPU) on: January 22, 2021, 12:01:32 PM
Back in late 2016 - mid '17 I thought my 280x/7970's from '14 were pretty much done for.. Along came Zcash amongst a few others to make them profitable again for at least another 2 years until 2017 - '18 they got replaced.

Right now, My 4GB 570/580's are looking at the same fate! Will something come along to save them? Or is there time truly up? as they drop to below half their normal hashrate, to around 15mh.

You can mine beam or raven, much more profitable than etc. If you mine etc, dual mine it with zil
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer E3 Ethereum Classic Patch Mine ETC again on the Antminer E3 on: January 21, 2021, 10:04:52 AM
Wait a minute? So the ETC developers changed the algo to prevent E3 from mining on it and all it took was a firmware patch to get them going again? Pretty bad coming from the ETC devs part in my opinion. Congrats on actually being able to achieve this. At first I saw the thread and assumed you are some newbie trying to scam a few people but you seem to have some merits.

My advice is you try and contact that VoskCoin guy, he has a Youtube channel and he might make a review about your patch if you give it to him for free. He has a big audience there and his videos are entertaining to watch. He might have an E3 laying around his place somewhere to test it out on.

The ETC developers changed the algo to get more hashrate in to the network, to prevent 51% attacks.

Thanks chipless for the patch.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminers E3 still alive for ETH? on: January 20, 2021, 01:14:20 PM
Not really
ETC DAG is also over 4GB and pools not accepting the E3s
I cant mine ETC on https://etc.ethermine.org/ as example. All the ASICs are marked with X

Wrong, ETC forked to ETCHash and the DAG is around 2,6Gb.
You can mine ETC with your E3, but need another customfirmware.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Vega 56 detected but does not mine on: January 20, 2021, 11:39:52 AM
You are wasting electricity if you are mining with gtx750 or other cards with 2gb video memory, remove them and leave the AMD cards in your motherboard, go into AMD drivers settings and activate compute mode, this should increase your hashrate, also what version of driver are you using? If the compute mode don't solve the problem I recommend using a different mining software

Dudes what is your problem with his gtx750, he will not mine with this card. And he said it is a nvidia card, because teamredminer is AMD ONLY.

I'm not familiar with teamredminer though so I can't say much here, I will just like to ask you if that's the lastest teamredminer ? If not I suggest you try to use the latest update version, also remove the obsolete GTX750, try out other miners, since you are running on Linux you should give HiveOS a try, there are simple others like Nicehash too

Update

I can see a RX550 in the list of your GPUs, isn't that a 2gb graphic card too? Remove such cards with anything less than 4gb vram pls

You can use google? RX550 with 4Gb and 2GB  Roll Eyes If you have not much knowledge, why you answer?

@Flooze

can you give us your commandline parameters? What driver you are using?
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EIP-1559 - Let's Talk on: January 16, 2021, 10:16:04 AM
With EIP 1559 mining won't be profitable anymore and this will also adjust the high gas fee on Ethereum network but where I'm confused is why we are told that Ethereum is switching to POS this year and nothing happened and now all buterin can come up with is EIP 1559

ETH switch to POS complete in 1 or 2 years.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts on miner for ETH on: January 14, 2021, 09:33:48 AM

https://2miners.com/blog/claymores-ethereum-miner-stops-working-best-alternatives/

How to choose the best Ethash mining software? Conclusion
Our experiment shows that the best mining software for Nvidia is T-Rex and gminer, for AMD – Teamredminer and lolMiner.

I use a Timredminer, lolminer gives a smaller hashrate
RX570 8G without overclocking gives 24-25 megahashes, can you try the operating system on Linux?

Getting 24 - 25 megahash on 8gb variant of rx570 isn't good, atleast the graphic card should be outputting 30mh/s, it's better if OP can change OS, windows OS sometimes can drag down mining hashrate for different reasons but on Linux it's not same, Linux OS is smaller and lighter

Flash your card and you get 30mh/s or more, and if you not want to flash, use amdtweak. By the way, shown hashrate is not interesting, the real pool hashrate is more interesting and here are lolminer and teamred better than all other AMD miners.

If you don´t know, how to push your cards to 30mh without claymore, then go fishing or plant some flowers. Sorry thats one of the basics to understand what is happen if i change vram timings, or mem speed or something else.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Have Any Modded Bios For 5500 XT? on: January 14, 2021, 09:08:01 AM
I have 5500 XT graphics cards, Sapphire Pulse, Sapphire Nitro+ and Asus Dual. These cards give 25 MH at stock values. When the speed of VRAM increased, I could see 27 MH at most.

Do you know of a bios mode for these cards? I saw that there are areas of 30, 32 mh. I want to get the best performance I can get.

I have a Sapphire Pulse 5600 XT model. I found a bios for it. The card that gives 38 MH now gives almost 44MH without any problem.
My Nitro+ gives me about 28-28,5MH. But i cant find modified BIOS to. It`s the cheapest GPUs 5xxx series, that`s why they will be modified last. On techpowerup there are about 30 versions of 5500 BIOS, but i cant test them all.
Are bios on techpowerup not modified? I think they are all moded bios, that is what OP is looking for, it will only take his time by testing the bios out on by one, techpowerup website is where I get bios for my graphic cards too

Techpowerup upload original bios and no modded bios. Why they should upload modded bios? Without description what is changed. Makes no sense.
