281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chess playing with it's potentials to enhance mental productiveness to trading. on: October 12, 2023, 01:43:01 PM
While I agree that mental games can give you benefits, why not learn by making small trades over time? One key skill that is hard to learn without doing any trading activity is emotional management and decision-making imo. I don't think you can learn that by playing chess or other games since the mental burden is different. It is almost impossible to replicate the emotional part of trading unless you trade in my opinion.
You got it right. While I also agree that trading and playing chess are both battle of minds but their process of doing it are different. Trading creates more mental and emotional challenges, and you can only learn to deal and overcome them by resorting into practical trading. That way, you will motivate more discipline and patience into your trades, and establish more stable emotions that will help you to create successful trading outcome.
282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangers of trading on: October 12, 2023, 12:30:13 PM
To navigate these dangers, traders must educate themselves,
If you cannot educate yourself, then seek assistance to be educated. It is not easy to educate yourself sometimes and for some people, you can read through long paghes and watch videos and still not be educated enough. You have to know yourself and understand the kind of person you are whether you are the kind that can learn and educate yourself by yourself, or the kind that will need an educated person in the field they want to learn about to help them get educated. Know your kind.
Whether you self-educate or you learned from an educated trader, what is most important is that you learn to apply all what you have learned into your own trade. By doing so, you become more capable to trade on your own which will eventually result into a positive and successful trading outcome. That way, you are not only an educated trader but also a skilled and capable trader that can easily overcome the dangers in trading.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: October 11, 2023, 09:52:44 PM
The new generation were a lot different from the old generation. They can’t just observe all of the changes happening but they need to explore and experience everything on their own. And that’s where gambling creates an impact to these youths especially that in online gambling they can easily hide their age and continue to access gambling. If these youths will not be monitored, they will easily fall into gambling addiction which will lead them to resort into making violence because they can’t control anymore of their losses that they have endured from gambling. And that’s where gambling addiction has ruined their future.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging Newbies from Bitcoin... on: October 11, 2023, 09:22:19 PM
That’s already the best advice an old trader can give to a newbie, never trade if you are not capable to do it. Old traders have already been there, trading while they are still newbies but all they got are just inevitable losses and the more they try to trade, the bigger the losses they have endure. This is not to discourage newbies to never try trading, but to warn them that there’s always a danger in trading if you insist to do it without proper knowledge and skills to do it, without making a long preparation prior to trading.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 11, 2023, 08:41:50 PM
We don’t really know the other side of the story why their friend had suddenly avoided them but if they have not done bad to him, obviously their friend is just trying to enjoy his money without his circle of friends that he think will surely ask for some money. At least they know the true color of their friend, that he’s all about greed and selfishness. And he’s definitely not worth to keep.
286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 10, 2023, 09:53:47 PM
You know, you will definitely know that it’s time to stop trading when your losses have outnumbered your winnings. Trading is not like gambling that you are always bound to lose, but it can even give you bigger chances of making you in profits especially if you have the knowledge and skills to trade. But not everyone is as good as the other. Some traders are experiencing the best of their trades, while others are living miserably with trading. If you are feeling like trading is not helping you at all, then better leave trading for good while your losses are still in controlled.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 10, 2023, 09:24:49 PM
Gambling will definitely put your mental and emotional health at risk. That is the reason why as much as possible, do not see gambling as a means to bring you profits all the time. Gambling will never guarantee us to keep on winning. And believing that gambling can be a reliable source of income is a very dangerous thing. Instead, gamble to make yourself relax and entertained, and not in a way that it will pressure you especially if what you are getting in the end is a series of losses that put your life’s savings in danger.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: October 10, 2023, 08:46:59 PM
I don’t think these two are comparable. Bitcoin is just a tool that is used indirectly to scam people, that’s why bitcoin’s reputation has been ruined due to these scammers. But if we say gambling, we’ll that’s clearly a harmful one if you fall for its addiction, but if you are gambling responsibly, then there’s no need to worry since you are just gambling to satisfy oneself and to become entertained and have fun. Gambling is not a actually a bad hobby, it only become one when people decide to gamble with greed and resort to gambling uncontrollably until he used up all his life’s savings and ruined his future.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 12:19:37 PM
I have never experienced something like this, nor heard this idea from my friends. Gambling will never guarantee such positive outcome, and if it happens, probably that’s just a temporary luck and soon the luck will eventually vanish. And if someone really dares to ask me about financing him, I don’t think it will really work. First, I don’t easily trust the people around especially when it comes to money, and it would be best to gamble on my own than to entrust my funds to other people. And since gambling outcome will always be unpredictable, and so as the future of your money too.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 09:55:31 PM
Gambling will never give us opportunities to win consistently because it will also put their business at risk. So it's really possible that we will lose a lot if we don't have self-control and discipline in gambling. When that happens, try to limit your bets so your losses will also be minimized. But if it's still not working for you since your urge to gamble becomes uncontrollable, then that's the time you decide to leave gambling for good. The moment you stop gambling, you stop committing losses as well.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: October 06, 2023, 05:11:32 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?
Yes, I will always chose to gamble money that is not intended to pay the bills, in short it's my spare money that I can manage to lose. That way, even if I lose all of them, it will never affect my finances and savings. And the fact that gambling is more certain on losses than gains, then we should be more responsible on using the funds that are not needed at the moment.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 06, 2023, 04:27:04 PM
The answer is obviously no since it seems pretty clear that Sportybet doesn't allow underage and that the boy violated the terms. I don't think even the government could step in and help the kid. The only way I see that they could be forced to refund is by social media pressure like cancel culture. Although I think it's less likely that the casino would give in but you never know what happens when kids or women starts crying on the internet hehe.
For a company that have long standing operational success and reputations,  they won't care about whatsoever social media pressure or campaign that the boy will pull that will get they attention since of obvious that the boy played and lost the bet so I don't see any reason why the casino should refund or even listen to the boy in any ways,  because the boy have violated the casino rules by all means since he know that the age limit on gambling before going ahead to gamble and lost.

So he should be able to handle whatever outcome the result of his action become and leave the casino out of it and I am also sure that from his complain the casino is going to discover his real age and ultimately block or can the account access.
Regardless if the casino is reputable or not, I don't think they will give in to the request of the boy. In the first place, it's the boy that break the rules and continue to bet and lose, so the casino is clearly not at fault and does not owe any explanation to the boy. If he loses his tuition fees, that is no longer the problem of the casino but only the boy itself.
293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 06, 2023, 03:30:49 PM
I think that by trading on my own I am just overtrading...I am looking for options to get trading ideas/trading signals etc to analyze those ideas and select only the best ones.
What options does one have to view trading ideas/signals from other professional traders?

There really only is one way to trade and that is to learn to trade yourself. I understand that social and copy trading are extremely profitable but at the end of the day, it means you are putting your own financial future into the hands of someone else. You have almost no control over that. Take the longer road, learn, make mistakes but ultimately improve.
I don't agree that they are extremely profitable, knowing most of them are not even reliable at some point. Know that there is no perfect trading, that even professional traders are not 100% capable of having trading signals that work, so why bother following them. Instead, work on your own and trade using your own knowledge and skills. In the end, you will always have more advantage than those who simply rely from others to make their trades work.
294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Secret of investing no one tells you about on: October 06, 2023, 02:27:31 PM
These are some basic methods for anyone who wants to invest successfully. I can't say they are still secrets since everyone knows that having adequate and continuous knowledge, patience and risk management are a must for all investors who aim for continuous success and profitability. However, it's not bad at all to remind everyone most particularly those newbies that investing is never easy and one should exert more efforts and preparation before he/she decides to invest.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's first tweet since 2018? on: October 05, 2023, 09:17:14 PM
What? maybe is elon musk in the backend.

The only whay to proof that he is satoshi is signed a message with one of his address.

I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.
Probably it’s the fake Satoshi, it could be Elon or whoever that just want to steal the highlight from the original Satoshi.

However, I have to agree on this tweet. A lot are happening about bitcoin that’s just too far away from its white paper, and the more we are exposed to different bitcoin events, the more we get to know the real value of bitcoin.

It’s just sad that the real Satoshi is not active anymore on this forum, at least we should have thanked him for his brilliant creation.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: October 05, 2023, 08:11:40 PM
That’s definitely true. A lot of gamblers are tempted to use their credit cards just to fulfill their gambling habits and see where they are now. Most of them have ended up drown into debt thinking that they would gained remarkable profits in time, but ended up broken and worst some have certainly need to be homeless just to realize their wrong habits. However, despite the negative outcome caused by credit card gambling, new gamblers still don’t learn from other gamblers mistakes and still fuel their gambling habit and addiction through using credit cards.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 05, 2023, 02:52:35 PM
This is actually the problem of the century for every human being and during my stay here in this forum I have heard of people saying that greed doesn't really affect them which I deem it fit to be a big whole lie because greed gets to every gambler if not always then it must have gotten to you maybe once or twice but the community seems to have alot of people trying to pretend and I understand the reason why because it's a public community and writing some kind of things get read in different ways.
We all have greed hidden within us, but the problem is some have managed to control it while others have become slaves of their own greed that they tend to be carried away and do decisions impulsively. With gambling, if you are under the control of greed, you will most likely lose in the end. That is why to prevent yourself from being too much greedy, set your budget first before you decide to bet. Whether you win or lose, at least you know you never fall on your greed that will surely ruin your hard earned funds.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 05, 2023, 02:24:32 PM
That only proves that gambling is not for everyone. No matter how positive you are with your bet, that will not guarantee that you will eventually win the game. I just hope the lady has acted maturely than showing the world how immature she is. Probably she's one of those people who believe that gambling will make you profitable instantly, but in reality gambling will make you doomed especially if you don't know how to deal with its risk.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful were you put your hard earn money on: October 04, 2023, 09:12:39 PM
Expect that fraud and scams will never stop as long as there are people who will never stop from taking advantage of other people's money. That is why before deciding to risk your money on a certain investment, do your own diligence to research. Never stop until you see some red flags that will prevent you from investing. And when you prove to yourself that you are in the right investment, start putting a small amount at first so that if things never work as planned, it will be easier for you to recover your losses. Be careful where you put your hard earned money, as everything will vanish like thin air if you resort into wrong decision making.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 04, 2023, 02:36:12 PM
People change their hobbies along with their age. If today gambling is my hobby, I don't think the interest is still there when I'll reach my old age. Maybe I would still want to see gambling games and stories since its my passion, but I don't think I am still capable to gamble that time. Risks will be a lot harder to manage when we are already in our old age, instead I'll just play with my grandkids because by that time, they will be my source of joy and happiness.
