Please just donate to the address in my sig.

And Tomatocage why are you asking to donate in your account what will you do with it. What you do is just put the newbies in your scammerrs list and say that your are helping the community. Are the newbies not a part of community. Such a big fool you are.
Don't people understand that when you are on the asking-end of something (selling a product, asking for a loan/donation) its smartest NOT to call people names?

If they understood that, they probably wouldn't have asked for donations for an uncharitable cause.

Ha ha nice Grin  And I see you've improved!
2943  Other / Off-topic / Re: This makes me so mad... on: April 11, 2013, 10:03:53 PM
Whenever someone claims "Bitcoin is the digital currency of the future" I never argue about the future part, just the present.

That's a keen observation Grin  Well, there was never an emerging technology which didn't have its bumps.  Do you think Bitcoin 1.0 will come with super-advanced price-stability features?  That would be rad Tongue
2944  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think the Queen is buying up Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2013, 10:01:55 PM
She's still alive?!
2945  Other / Meta / Re: is it just me, or is this forum pain-in-the-ass slow? on: April 11, 2013, 10:00:53 PM
question in the subject.

This means MtGox is working on it, if I remember correctly bitcointalk is hosted on their servers.

Actually I'm pretty sure the forum moved to another server, but it used to be on Gox servers.  I'm not entirely sure, however.
2946  Economy / Economics / Re: $55 - really? Really? Really? on: April 11, 2013, 08:23:41 PM
Oh really? So nobody involved in speculative market activity every accepts a loss eh;  tell me how that works out for you.

Well, it would work out pretty bad, actually.  If I had product X and it was costing me more to produce it than it was to sell it, I would stop producing product X.  Since Unacceptable is producing them at a cost of $23.80 per coin, he would attempt to sell them preferably above this price.  If not, he wouldn't sell them until the cost went back up.

Now, somebody who bought product X might see the use in selling it to prevent further loss.  But if he didn't know what it was costing to make it, he could sell it to you for a nickel and wouldn't know the difference.
2947  Economy / Economics / Re: USD 2.0 - The Government's Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2013, 08:18:05 PM
Actually, the Canadian government is already doing things in the arena of digital currencies, with their Mint Chip:

also:

http://www.mintchipchallenge.com

That's awfully interesting.  I wonder if those will gain more traction than Bitcoin?  After all, MintChip is backed by government (Roll Eyes)

Someone is dumping hard to drive price down in order to buy a lot at low price

The electricity cost for GPU miner is the fundamental factor for bitcoin price, currently 1G hash gives 0.06 bitcoin per day, using $3 electricity, that is about 50 USD for 1 bitcoin

I have 3.2GH mining @ .18BTC per 24hrs @ .12kwh.My bill is approx $150 more while mining,so $150/6.3BTC per month=$23.80 per BTC.Thats what its worth to me  Grin

Hmm!  And the price of BTC just happens to be right around here; wonder if it'll drop further than $23?  Miners aren't going to sell at a loss, after all.

I'm no economist, but, wow, it is crazy how those graphs line up almost perfectly.

That's interesting.  So bitcoin was a lot more profitable than it was supposed to be?

No colored bitcoin, por favor.  We've already seen what currencies backed by other currencies have done.  Friction is all we need.
2954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Graphics artifacting on: April 11, 2013, 07:37:30 PM
If it's a software issue, your only chance is either updating your drivers, or rolling back your drivers.  However, artifacts are usually caused by a hardware issue, typically when the card is overheating.  Is the card being properly cooled?  My card sometimes does this in video games, and then it refuses to turn back on the next day for a while, or it'll shut itself off and stop working.  It only happens in 75+ degree Fahrenheit weather tho Tongue

Fiat loves cheating on state, hell it owns it and nothing will stand in the way of progress, I mean profit.

They're inseparable.  The bank and the state are so intertwined it's hard to tell who's what anymore; are you a politician, or are you a businessman?  Of course, the answer is always both.  If money is the root of all evil, the state is the medium with which it carries out its act.  If money is the mind, the state is the balled fist.

I was on all of yesterday putting up with the DDoS.  It was definitely there; it cannot be attributed to new members, there's no way in hell.  Someone's fucking with us.
