2981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Faucetpay.io Security Incident on: March 25, 2021, 11:03:58 AM
Shouldn't faucetpay.io compensate me as I have lost whatever I had earned due to them.
I'm not trying to take sides in here but if you had funds in a certain address "in FP" and they didn't want to cover your losses, then they would've contradicted what they've said in their incident post but that's not the case. The way I see it, it's a limitation from bitcoinker [I'm not implying they're at fault] so in other words, you have only yourself to blame for those funds.

The bitcoinker.com does not allow to change bitcoin address as changing address shall mean all previously earned bitcoins shall be lost.
~Snipped~
Now I have written to bitcoinker.com to allow me to transfer the coins to new address but their policy is straight forward and it is not their fault also.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: March 25, 2021, 07:53:39 AM
What are your thoughts on the matter?
For the most part, it'll improve but occasionally, we'll witness some sort of setbacks as well and that's mainly due to the fact that almost all of the governments, prefer having control over literally everything and that's something that they can't fully achieve with BTCitcoin in the scene.
2983  Other / Meta / Re: Pre-Legendary VS Legendary Merit Stats on: March 25, 2021, 06:36:04 AM

and how many he got as a legendary.
As always, great job @DdmrDdmr but it seems to be lacking the stats for either the last activity period or just the past few days.

This would show that my initial idea that legendary members receive fewer merits after they rank up is wrong. How do your stats look?
I was blessed with the airdropped merits so I can't comment in regards to my stats but as others have suggested, you should consider a lot of other things apart from the merit count itself. Unfortunately, I don't think there's an easy/accurate way to measure everything [apart from the time it took [by ShowOff] and its intensity [by tranthidung]] since all of the other remaining factors are in constant changes [dynamic] and that tends to overlap and complicate end results as opposed to measuring everything as if it was in a static state.

I think that the forum may need more merit sources too,
Amen to that!
- Most of the time, I'm left with just a single sMerit and that reflects on how I merit others.
2984  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Desktop Bitcoin ATM on: March 24, 2021, 02:43:31 PM
Can anyone verify a purchase from them?
Someone has mentioned receiving one [link] but at the same time, complained about faulty hardware.
- Both verification and accusation parts aren't valid since it doesn't come with some sort of evidence.

  • Perhaps the following "YouTube user" might be able to help you [long shot].
  • If the content of "this page [only 7 of those are installed]" is accurate, then your chances of getting a response from one of its owners are slim to none [unfortunately].

Looking for a 1 way cheapo model.
AFAIK, apart from what you've mentioned the other day, all of the other 1 way desktop BTMs are around 3 to 4k [e.g. Chainbytes's 1 way, Lamassu's Gaia].
Take note: I'm not vouching for those providers.

Update:
I wish I had some merit to dish out to you! I've reached out to them with questions via email , so far they are responsive. They are located about 130 miles away from me.  Im going to keep exploring this option unless someone has one used. I dont mind the diy approach but i already have a few incomplete projects and would rather just buy one but ,,,,,im curious about the whole key thing and potential btc atm nightmare stories
Thank you for the kind words [I appreciate it]... Hopefully, you'll have an all-around positive experience as opposed to the other guy Smiley
2985  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: TALK-ON-CRYPTO is launched worldwide, crypto forum with many unique features on: March 24, 2021, 12:32:45 PM
guys visit and i am sure u will also like it and get used to it
I did like the light/dark toggle button + colorful icons for different sections but apart from those, not sure if it comes with other unique features as opposed to other forums...
- Care to list those features?

I registered in the past but cannot login any more?!
It is possible an administrator has deactivated or deleted your account for some reason. Also, many boards periodically remove users who have not posted for a long time to reduce the size of the database. If this has happened, try registering again and being more involved in discussions.
You can't expect your users to remain active forever [life happens] and by doing so, you'll be throwing all of their efforts down the drain [it doesn't make sense].
2986  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Airdrop6 advertises scam on: March 24, 2021, 10:09:52 AM
I just want to suggest that everyone is also ask to report the scam channel so that not many people will fall victim to it. I have submitted a report and now it is your turn.
https://i.ibb.co/YTG68GJ/IMG-20210321-200850.jpg
Just did with a link to this thread...
- Hopefully, it'll be sufficient in taking down such groups.

THEY SCAMMED ME FOR 300$. THEY ARE SAYING THEIR ACCOUNT GOT HACKED.
Sorry for your loss Sad
- If there's anything that you could add as proof, it'd be greatly appreciated [might come in handy when one of the Telegram employees visits this thread].

So by warning everyone by posting about their activities here, many new crypto users will stay away from falling into the trap of this scam.
Unfortunately, this thread isn't enough unless that group is taken down.
- Most users, do little to nothing when it comes to background checks and other stuff.

We regret to clarify that our previous Airdrop6 channel and the Telegram account of @colinxL have been stolen by hackers.
When did the incident happen and what did you do to protect your group members?
2987  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A P2P Crypto Currency Lending Platform on: March 24, 2021, 08:31:56 AM
So means if few of the borrowers do not make repayment, it will not become 100%. Meaning if 2 of out 10 borrowers not pay back, you still get back 80% of the investment (plus the interest)...
And if none of them pay, we'll get nothing [100% of our funds gone]... Why waste your time in building a system that doesn't guarantee the safety of your lender's assets, when you can just tackle those issues by simplifying everything...
- Sometimes a simple/basic system is much better than a complicated system with underlying problems.
2988  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Swappa.io Soft Launch / User Base on: March 24, 2021, 07:07:05 AM
In regards to the accusation, it is old and has since been closed.
That was just an example and there are plenty more on various platforms [AFAIK, all of their sister platforms have similar behavior and do selective scams from time to time] and if you still "really" trust them after reading those cases, then that says a lot about you.

You might want to take a look at how gigantic ChangeNOW is and realize they would not be around if they are ripping people off.
I have to respectfully disagree with you. I could easily name 5 other platforms [not referring to their sister websites] that are still around while continuing with scamming their users.

They have a 4.5 star rating on TrustPilot with over 2,600 reviews.
Out of those 2,600+ reviews, how many of those are verified reviews? I have no doubt most of those are either fake or manipulated/targetted reviews.

I am talking about my intentions, not ChangeNOW's in that specific instant.
~Snipped~
I know our intentions and I know they are not malicious. That is why we can be trusted.
The part I highlighted in red suggests otherwise.

I do not have to identify/classify someone else's intentions based only on their transactions. That is up to ChangeNOW.
When a problem [e.g. scam incident] arises after making an exchange through "your platform", whose fault would it be?
- I hope you're not going to "just" blame them.
2989  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoin and usdt for sale on: March 23, 2021, 07:39:01 AM
I recently came across lost account with 0.8201btc that I had received sometime back but had forgotten the password.
Not sure if I'm missing something but how are you going to sell those fractions of BTCitcoins without having access to the account in question?

since bitcoin seems to be rising by the day.
That's not always the case [e.g. today].

email me at Stanley. johnss at yahoo. Com
You can list your email "normally" in this forum Wink

Refrain from creating similar topics in this board [just bump it instead]...

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]

16. Do not have more than one active sales topic in the Currency exchange board. [3]

21. Old bumps should be deleted. [2]

Good luck to those campaign managers that usually process payments on Thursdays...
- They'll be having lots of fun while trying to figure out who is who Cheesy

What do you reckon guys?
Anyone can guess what it is?  Cheesy
Since there are a lot of users who got laid off from their respective jobs [temporarily or permanently], perhaps he'll try to play with our minds by adding another field on our profiles that shows us having a certain amount in BTCitcoin.
- I know it's a bit too harsh.

Or he'll just invert the color of either our signatures or avatars.

Shut down bitcointalk SMF forum and everyone has to begin in Epochtalk as a Brandnew account.
Cheesy
2991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: Never delete your old Wallets or Keys on: March 22, 2021, 05:55:27 PM
Not sure if I should get frustrated for not having access to the first few wallets that I had back then or for not choosing Kano [back in the day when I used to mine BTCitcoin] as my preferred mining pool.
- Probably both [SMH] Sad
2992  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetPay Hacked - $600 000 in crypto lost! on: March 22, 2021, 04:39:19 PM
While in this case, I suppose that biggest part of their crypto were in hot wallet. There is over $600k worth of crypto were stolen, I hardly can imagine that faucet microwallet would had much more crypto.
Trust me, there is no need to keep that amount in a hot wallet, although I don’t know how much FP pays on a weekly or daily basis to its customers, but I believe it is even much less than 5 BTC in total. This is nothing more than a simple irresponsibility towards oneself and customers -
I couldn't agree more [unfortunately]...

there is not so many people using faucets like few years ago.
This might sound weird but I still use faucets regularly [mostly with the help of automated platforms but it still counts].

It will be interesting to follow how this story will developp further.
Deposit and withdrawals are back [ahead of schedule] but coin swap is still not working [should be back at 25th].

and the only positive thing is the fact that the service has remained active, because in the past things like this usually meant that everyone could say goodbye to their coins.
Exactly. Hopefully, this wasn't a marketing strategy of some sort.

~Snipped~
And site functions are open again.
Not all of them.
- You beat me to it.
2993  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Best sms verification site | Cheapest Available | All sites on: March 22, 2021, 03:24:27 PM
from tinder verifications to verifying your gmail.
It would've been better if there was an option to purchase numbers for a certain time as opposed to using them for a single time only.
- To an extent, it defeats its purpose when it comes to services that may require further verifications at some point.

There seems to be a big difference between the price chart on your homepage and the prices shown while ordering [I only checked for US/UK].
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Trending Coins - New project on: March 22, 2021, 01:15:38 PM
Please give your feedback and suggestions  Wink
  • Real-time updates [as opposed to one-minute intervals] and more fluidity.
  • Notification system for pairs of our choice [it could be either a pop-up alert that stays on screen [for a few seconds] or through email].
  • A toggle button for light/dark modes.

On this site, we show the trending coins at the very exact moment.
I'm curious to know the formula behind those scores.
- Feel free to ignore my request if you're not fine with sharing such information.
2995  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN Service (Market Research) on: March 22, 2021, 06:31:44 AM
offering the same service as they do just with some better pricing and personal support.
Just to be clear, are you introducing yourself as a new VPN provider or you'll be offering cheaper plans from other providers?

change your IP through one of our secure VPN servers.
Does it come with a dedicated IP?

No activity or connection logs
Our VPN does not and will never log traffic data, DNS queries, or anything that could be used to identify you.
I'm not a back-end coder or a developer by any means but is it going to be an open-source VPN?
- IIRC, a few years back there was a known VPN provider [forgot the name] that claimed such a thing but it turned out to be the opposite.

Professional Support
Personal support will be given to make sure you are never lead to disappointment with us and building a long-lasting relationship going forward.
How many people are assigned to act as part of the support system?
2996  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minerstreet.net Review for Fraud ! Be careful ! on: March 21, 2021, 02:11:31 PM
Until I wrote this threat, 17people bought miners from them, is it strange or there is something wrong with me?
If you came to that conclusion based on the pop-up notifications, then those are fake [like what you said on your second point].

In addition to your findings, they have a lot of "fake" reviews prior to their creation date [2021-01-27]:
- I strongly believe that all of the comments are fake.

I checked their "About Us" page for plagiarized content and got the following result:

Friends, I was very surprised that one of the largest telegram channels about Airdrop advertises a scam.
It seems that the channel in question, has a history of promoting scams: [SCAM] Shitcoin Airdrop Wallet Has A Virus

On the same day, he wrote to me that he had been hacked. It is very strange at first to assert that the project is not fraudulent and then say that it was hacked.
A perfect [obvious] excuse for dodging the blame [SMH].

I tried to send a complaint but apparently this is not enough.

Link to the web.archive https://web.archive.org/web/20210318152025/https://ethgift.me/

Original link https://ethgift.me/
I can't access both of those links. Is it just on my side or others have the same experience?

Scam channel https://t.me/airdrop6channel
The author of the channel is listed in the descriptions @colinxL
Here's his/her "forum account".

I'll be tagging that account as well.

I have a confusion if those telegram owners are handling fake giveaway site Smiley
For the right amount, they have no issue with selling their souls [unfortunately].
2998  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: HotCryp.to - New Site Rewarding you for Watching videos, Offers Mining & More on: March 21, 2021, 10:25:28 AM
A few suggestions:

  • You should consider suspending withdrawals to FaucetPay until everything is sorted out...
  • A button for reporting empty wallets [e.g. EC's dash wallet].
  • Addition of payouts to personal wallets.
    - I do know it requires a certain minimum amount and a fee.

Overall, it looks good Wink

"As much as people are bugging me on that on social media, I'm bugging our crypto team and our software engineers. We're going to try and get that done as fast as possible. And we'll see. We might add some new coins along the way."
It looks like it's going to be anything but reliable...
- It has to be thoroughly tested or else they'll end up with another disaster [lately, they're getting quite good in achieving such things Roll Eyes].

I'd imagine it would be the same for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as chances are, the actual hodlers would use something existing and that actually has a withdrawal option such as Coinbase.
It appears that they're planning to add a cryptocurrency wallet in order to make them work side by side.
Personally, I wouldn't use a platform with so many red flags.
3000  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Im new.. I have a question for the Pros! :) on: March 21, 2021, 06:43:31 AM
It won't let me send my money to the wallet from my bitcoin trading wallet, Nor can I cash out without the bitcoin wallet not having funds and you can't close the account so long as there is a balance and I cannot send it to anyone and it's an endless loop of you have to do a to get to b and c but I cannot get past A.
That's how their trading wallet functions. There's a holding period of three days and after that, you'll be able to do all of those without any restrictions.
- If you take a closer look at your trading wallet logo, you'll see a small lock icon in the bottom right corner of it.

I'm sure it is an easy solution none of which exist without boards like these as tech support doesn't exist! Any helpers?
Based on the date this thread was created, you just have to wait for one more day before it gets cleared Wink
