301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Must Read: Scams disguised as premium signal groups/channel on: November 04, 2023, 11:11:14 AM
That's why I never joined any of them even though I was just starting trading way back then.

Paid cryptocurrency signal groups are not worth it for your money, you might want to spend your money on your trading journey rather than trusting random people who "provide" trading signals. You have to know that technical analysis will not always give you profits, so why pay someone for it if you can make on your own. Making your own will help you grow, you might lose a lot of money first before your trading accuracy will increase but it's worth it in the long run.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the irreversibility of Bitcoin transactions a downside for an average person? on: November 03, 2023, 02:46:50 PM
Making it reversible is much complicated rather than simply double checking if everything is correct before making a transaction.

Even for an average person, that wouldn't be hard enough to do such simple thing to make their transaction safe. It's not that bitcoin's transaction being irreversible is a downside, the problem here is that some people are not concerned about their transaction might gone wrong because of a very simple mistake, they just copy and paste the address then that's it. That's why it's too late before they realized they made a mistake at their end.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 03, 2023, 12:44:22 PM
You should've added the link where we can read or watch the news you were talking about.

Nonetheless, it's not really recommended or worth to share your bitcoin holdings or any kind of investment you have to your relatives, friends, or even to your family that envy your success in a bad way. Trust no one, but yourself, since you're not gonna get anything from bragging your wealth, whether it's on social medias or when you're out with your family and friends.

Stay lowkey and keep them wondering about your success.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2023, 11:45:11 AM
There is no ideal or correct time for investment. Every time is appropriate if you want to invest long-term. Whoever bought at 2017 ATH can sell now and his investment will have been lost, but we can say that this time is the best time to achieve the maximum possible profit in the shortest possible time?
In theory, it is correct, but the price may be in the area between 25k to 32k at some point in the beginning of next year before the upward line continues. Therefore, now is an appropriate time to achieve maximum profit, but it is not the best.

Exactly.

There's no need to buy at the deepest dive price of Bitcoin, buying right now is still a good investment since we're still far from the last all time high price. There's no need to hesitate when investing in Bitcoin, even though you bought at the peak price, you only have to wait until it makes another all time high to make profits in your holdings.

It's all about patient and it's important to know what you're doing so you won't get bored or do some panic selling that you will regret at the end.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin help global refugees and migrants to relocate to new countries? on: November 02, 2023, 03:26:52 PM
It sure can, but I think not all of them has the privilege to obtain Bitcoin.

I mean, even if they have the power to do so, it would be better if they are open minded enough to have such thing just in case a war would happen. But let's be honest, not all of the people are looking forward for a war to happen, that's why they don't prepare themselves, in the end, they always having a hard time how to get themselves safe in an easiest way as possible.

They're lucky if their government always act in haste if something bad happens, too bad if their government doesn't even prepared at all.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 02, 2023, 02:27:58 PM

No man can control himself completely. Addiction is just scary because no one can notice how much he is already addicted to gambling or other gambling. For example, the inability to promise yourself not to gamble for a while, for a year, may be the initial sign of gambling addiction. Therefore, you need not only to be able to analyze yourself, but also to share your inner state with other people.

I beg to disagree.

People can master controlling their emotions and urges. We are the highest form of being in the planet and we have the capability to think and analyze the things we will do. Every actions that a gambler will make is a result of his own judgment. If a gambler will decide to gamble for fun, it's because he wants to relax and have a hobby to destress from the toxicity happening around. He will not go overboard if he is disciplined enough to know the repercussions of gambling once he go past his limits.

But if a person doesn't really want to make a difference, do not strive to have a goal in mind or a reason why he is gambling, the probability of him overspending and frequently playing more often than what's supposed to will probably what will happen. As a result, he could fall into addiction that's very challenging to recover from if a person is not willing enough. Relapse could also happen because of weak self-control. Which is why it's still better to prevent addiction from happening rather than curing it once it sets on.

So if any newbie is lurking around here that is curious to gamble, remember to be firm to your limitations and do not sacrifice your discipline and good gambling attitude.
307  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: November 02, 2023, 01:06:13 PM

Involving oneself on taking loans just to meet up ones targets ain't advisable when your income is low because you may run into depression when you've incurred so many debts before you receive your income as you may be confused whether to settle your outstanding debts with your income or using to solve the family's basic needs.
Loans are taken for a variety of reasons. Some people take loans to meet their business goals, which I believe is not a bad thing because if a person's business is doing well, he or she will be able to repay the loan without difficulty. However, some people take loans to meet goals that are not as tangible, especially if they are not invested in ways that will generate income. When someone takes a loan and does not use it in any way, even if it has a good source of income to pay the money back, they will not be happy whenever they plan to repay the money. In fact, a loan is not advisable if the case is worse.

I agree.

Loan is not advisable if you don't have a regular job, because you'll have a hard time paying up your loan in that case, the worst is that is they'll take another load to pay their first loan, and that will just be repeated since they don't have any choice since they don't have a regular job. This kind of scenario is happening always in a third world country, where people are thriving to survive in their everyday lives fighting poverty as much as possible.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: why super rich pay no tax but suggest giving all their wealth away (eventually) on: November 02, 2023, 12:15:29 PM
They are just a bunch of assholes who are evading tax because because they think they are exempted from the law, but they are not. They are just too confident because they have a lot of money which they can control someone powerful to protect them from the law, which is possible.

A YouTuber here in my country deleted their YouTube channel with over a million subscribers so that they can avoid paying their taxes, and after a while, they just build a new YouTube channel, imagine that, lol. People who avoid paying taxes are the greedy one, who don't want to pay for their responsibility as a certain individual who makes a lot of money or the taxes in their country is taking too much.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: November 01, 2023, 03:03:31 PM
If people continue to use gambling as a job opportunity, they will not be successful, at least for most of them. They will only experience disappointment and may also experience prolonged frustration because what they do cannot produce the results they want. But if they are willing to look for other ways to find work, they may have a better chance of making money because if they can get a job, that means they can get a salary. And this salary can be used for many things, including meeting his living needs. We may have seen the effects of gambling from what we experienced, namely losing money at the gambling table, and we also couldn't recover the loss even if we tried. It will only increase the number of losses so that we will be even more frustrated. So forget about wanting to recover those losses. Otherwise, you will experience more severe effects from gambling that you may not be able to accept.
Choose the right choice, look for another means of income and then gamble at your free time, mostly do it for fun and not like your survival depends on it. Gambling have its own effects, we lose and gain, that's a normal thing but winning comes with its own negative effects, we tend to have hope of profits from the system, persuading us to anticipate in gambling daily. We can't depend on gambling as streams of incomes, it's done in that way. Gambling is unreliable and often doesn't produce the results we expected, but looking for good jobs that can pay our bills, atleast end of the month, we expects some good figures reading in our bank accounts.

Agree with this.

Gambling is not meant to be a main source of income. Sure, it can be a sideline to your main job to earn a considerable amount, but it will be hard to make it as your means of survival without losing so much as you are winning. Additionally, it is a risky job too. It isn't and won't be labeled as stable job because of the risks it possess. There's no guaranteed win. You can only hope for the best whenever you bet and play on luck-based games, then use your knowledge together with praying for the odds for sportsbetting games. Meaning the earnings won't be guaranteed and you could end up having none after your bet or play. Comparing this to having a business or a corporate job to catch you every payday, it's really not worth the risk and time most specially if you have mouths to feed and bills to pay.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: November 01, 2023, 01:15:21 PM

I agree with your statement. In gambling we only discuss its negative sites but there are positive aspects as well. Does everyone just lose and no one wins? Many are winning big bets but they are not being disclosed. We can never tell who will lose and who will win in gambling. Since there is a matter of luck in gambling. Sports bettors can bet as per their wish. There is no one to blame if the result is everyone's loss. Because even if he loses, many people are winning there. There is always win and loss in gambling so don't prioritize only one aspect.

I beg to differ.

There are many times that people highlight only the benefits of gambling but not its consequences. This is evidently seen on campaigns and advertisements. Most campaigns and ads only showcase the positive effects of gambling such as winning a huge amount by only having a small capital, playing a non-complex games to win a good amount, and many more enticing offers to lure you into making an account, depositing, and eventually playing and betting. While it is the players' due diligence to conduct a research first before taking a step, most of the times these ads are blinding and tempting so much. Adding the fact that nowadays famous personalities promotes it too without educating their audience about the pros and cons. There are even posts that sounds motivating to bet because they only write what worked out best for them and not the challenging part.

In gambling, everyone has the chance to win or lose. But players or potential players must be first made aware about the positive effects in engaging into it. Do not be a devil's advocate to tell them to just push through without thinking thrice. It's still better to gamble with proper knowledge so that you won't regret and point fingers when things go haywire.
311  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: November 01, 2023, 12:23:45 PM

It’s not essential to keep the gambling to be secret based on your thoughts, but sometimes we need to keep the gambling habit as secret one because the family members of the gamblers will trouble to not play in the future days.Mostly the wife or girlfriend of the gamblers will do this trouble, once you shared them about your loss to the gambling sites. The perspective of many people around us in the gambling was wrong,So we can’t do anything for their perspective to the game.

So we should live our life for ouourselves,it’s not necessary to give importance to the other perspectives on us and in our action.Telling about our gambling involvement to others is based on us.So we can’t forced by anyone to shared to declare the involvement to the gambling. If you get that situation in the gambling make sure your privacy was important that the others relationship. The gambling winnings also to be keep in secret from your friends or girlfriend.

Well, you can't really blame your loved ones for criticizing your decisions because they are simply concerned to you. If those people who are close to you will negatively react once they knew you are gambling, it's because most probably they heard the disadvantages gambling may bring into one's life. Gambling addiction is a serious matter. They might be thinking that you might end up one so they discourage you as much as they can to quit and stop gambling. It's already given that gambling still has a negative connotation. Now, it will depend on you on how you will make them understand that there can be benefits to be reap from gambling. You can always educate them and make them secured and assured that you have a boundary and limitations to follow to not be dependent and addicted, and be like other guys who went bankrupt and even had pile of debts. It will be your responsibility to make them trust you and your judgment, especially if they are special people in your life whom you want to share your experiences with.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: November 01, 2023, 11:14:45 AM

Just as there is a difference between a typical gambler and an addicted gambler, there are also differences between a successful gambler. A typical gambler often makes various negative comments when gambling loses, while some give up gambling or engage in various types of guilt. But no such trait can be found in a successful gambler. Successful gamblers do not regret when they lose but are prepared to set the next bets. They know that losing will lead to winning but in the meantime they have to reach specific goals.

A gambling addict knows no boundaries. Meanwhile, a successful gambler knows his limitations and follows it so things won't go wrong. Overspending and allotting so much time just to bet and play without proper direction in mind and assessment of the risks are most commonly done by gambling addicts. They do not really care much about the repercussions and rather continue to play and bet as much as they like. They disregard thinking about the trajectory of their gameplays and just continuously chase winnings after winnings or losses. And that's a whole lot different to those people who have plans and strategies to be successful.

Successful gamblers know when to stop and when to quit. Taking a break is never a sign of defeat. Sometimes you just really have to reflect on the things that you did - what went wrong or how you can do better, so that the next time around, you'll be achieving what you want.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 01, 2023, 10:33:15 AM

Gambling at old age depends on the individual because if you take gambling as a means of entertainment when you are young, you will still see it that way even when you are old because you will be less busy and need to have some fun to make you remember of the days of your youth. I can say what will happen tomorrow, but from my own side I will love to gamble at old age if my children are all working and doing well. It means that I just have to relax and gamble with my old friends while we gist of the past days and so on.

This makes sense.

Gambling can be for any age as long as it is within the legal age limit and even way past retirement age. If you really see gambling as a means of entertainment and to have fun, then there is nothing wrong if you will still continue to play past your prime. As long as you have the funds to bet and play without compromising your priorities in life, then go on. But if you know it to yourself that you still haven't build your retirement fund once you grow old, then better to think twice. This is because you have to put your obligations to yourself first above anything else after you already do your job as a parent (assuming that you will be one). With this, you won't be a burden to your children once you no longer have the capacity to work and you will have a good lifestyle that you will enjoy for the rest of your life. One must not be a one-day millionaire to avoid preventable troubles later on.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: October 31, 2023, 03:42:24 PM
Today I want to take a deep dive into gambling and how negatively it has impacted our society;

Growing up into a man I got used to gambling believing it will change my current financial status, which I was wrong, it was quite the opposite, not that am not seeing money, I was but I was too fix in making it through it.

When I finally quit the addiction, I realized that I was doing better than I even thought,

Fast forward to yesterday when I go into a betting shop to see someone, I was shock to see some of my guys in the neighborhood which I knew they where doing well, now looking wreshed an tattered.

One one thing I have noticed about gambling is that before you win a thousand box, they might have milk you of more than that.
[I just want to use this medium to appeal to the younger generation, please stay off gambling, if you must do so, gamble responsible, don't take it as your only source of living so it wouldn't milk you dry.

It's unfortunate that you had to experience going into hellhole before fully understanding the consequences of gambling.

Gambling isn't really an easy way out of poverty. It could even lead you into poverty for making rush, impulsive, and wrong decisions. Gambling requires being responsible, disciplined, and financial literate. If you are underage, most probably you are still not earning on your own, therefor you can't be responsible for your own finances, and rather is still dependent on your parents or guardian, which I think is enough basis to not let you engage in any gambling activities. Gambling requires money after all. If you can't provide and look after yourself, then do not gamble - easy as that. However, many people tend to ignore this, which results to being buried with pile of debts later on because of their gambling habits. It's sad, but this is the reality. As long as someone do not experience the hardships and the challenges related to betting and playing, they will never learn. Hopefully though the generation today will be smarter and wiser in making judgments to avoid experiencing the same mistake that could leave them destroyed in the end.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: October 31, 2023, 01:41:04 PM

If they forget their responsibilities in gambling from the start, they will lose a lot of money during their gambling and will not be able to survive in gambling. If they borrow money from other people to gamble, it only makes the problem bigger because when they lose and don't have the money to pay it back, the lender will chase them, and that is a hardship they have to endure. But experienced gamblers can also experience things like that, especially if they lose control of themselves while gambling and will only experience bigger losses.

I definitely agree with this.

It's really important to be firm on your goal before entering gambling industry. If you only want to gamble for fun, set limitations so that you won't get addicted in the process of betting in playing. Remember your obligations and responsibilities not only as a gambler, but being a person in general. If you already have a family, always remember to put them first. Your duties as a parent and as a spouse will come before gambling, which means that you must take care of your household above anything else before indulging on your gambling habits. This is to avoid having problems and challenges regarding financial matters because let's admit, gambling involves money, and money matter is a serious one since it can affect relationships, lifestyle, and well-being.

Losses can be managed if you are disciplined - you'll know when to stop. So rather impulsively chasing the winning prize or trying to recover your many losses, do risk assessment first to know whether it's worth the hassle and money.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: October 31, 2023, 12:43:00 PM

but the reality is that most people who win big waste their money on things they don't need. they use their money to buy luxury things that they wanted in the past such as cars, houses, etc. the result is as you said, when their money runs out they are confused about getting more money and in the end they sell their assets to cover all their needs and when everything goes wrong they end up bankrupt. this is the reason why when someone wins big, they need to hire a financial manager or investment manager to be able to manage their money so that with this they can manage the money from their gambling winnings well and with more direction.

This is the harsh reality of those people who got rich quickly that has no prior knowledge about financial aspects. It's a very rare opportunity to win a huge amount nowadays in a snap. Being lucky enough to have 600,000 dollars at your disposal is really a blessing especially if you aren't well-off to begin with. With this amount, you can do so much for the long term. However, some people who aren't really financial literate, they tend to overspend to heal their inner child without prioritizing the necessities and saving for the future.

It's okay to purchase car, and a house and lot. These things can be an asset and not a liability if the owner will make a way for these things to generate income. At some point it can be an investment too since the price of house and lot continuously increase as years pass by. Car can be used for personal matters and can be rented to generate profit. Buying some luxurious things is tolerable too, only if the amount will not hurt the budget and will be of good use. Perhaps this can be treated as a reward for yourself as long as it is only for a few times expenditure. This way, you can enjoy your winnings too. But of course, everything needs to be listed accordingly. You can heal your inner child and buy some things that you want and the things you need without being a one-day millionaire. Proper budget allocation is the key. If you will prioritize what's urgently needed to what isn't, you will not end up being bankrupt and you won't have to sell what you bought just to have money once again.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: October 31, 2023, 11:49:47 AM
I know that in every country there is a minimum age for a youngster to be able to jump-in to gambling like the legal age of 17 but I can see as young as 10-15 who are involved in illegal gambling. I think they were influenced by those who are irresponsible illegal gamblers that let these kids watch their sessions.

It's saddening to read that there are minors who are exposed to gambling. People at a young age should stay away from gambling so that they'll be protected from the repercussions of it especially they haven't built themselves yet. There are still a lot of things to learn before diving into gambling industry and this includes but not limited to the benefits and the disadvantages gambling brings into one's life. Hopefully, parents will guide these youngsters so that they won't be addicted in gambling. Letting these kids be aware of the cons of gambling might help them be discouraged to continue gambling.

If you personally know some minors who are into gambling, please be a concern citizen that will tell them the dark side of it. Since most probably, they were introduced to it in a good light that's why they became curious and encouraged to play and bet despite it being illegal. The percentage of minors who managed to play and gamble despite the strict age limit just shows that some measures done by gambling websites aren't strong enough to keep them away.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 10:47:12 AM
It's really hard to be lost in gambling because it is an addicting industry. Hence, it's better to establish and lay down all your goals and your main reason why do you want to enter the gambling industry in the first place. If there is something that you should really possess the moment you start gambling, it should be discipline and having a strong core values. This way, you won't be astray from your initial aim and reason. Gambling addiction do not happen overnight. It develops gradually when you have a strong sense of dependency to it. So the more you feed your urge to gamble more frequently than your set boundaries, the higher the chances of you developing addiction. Which makes it more important for gamblers to set and follow their limitations.

Now, when it comes to being addicted, no, I haven't experienced it yet and hopefully I won't in the future. But despite this, I lost an amount enough to make me regret the decisions I made. It was a learning experience to me, and a costly one. So I made sure to not repeat the same impulsiveness in the future with my risk assessment skills. Hopefully, you recover from your bad spending habits in gambling. Rooting for you.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 30, 2023, 02:54:37 PM
It's really risky to chase both winnings and losses. There are two chances with probability of achievement varying based on your luck, skills, and strategies. If you want so badly to chase winnings, there's a possibility that you will win a huge amount or even the jackpot prize, however, there's also the probability of you losing all your money because of failed attempts. High risk, high reward. If you are an aggressive player, then probably you are after the thrill and excitement as well as profit. It may turn out good, but it may turn out to be your darkest dark.

Chasing losses is risky as well because the moment you run after all your lost money and got lost in the process, you will lose more and more in the long run. You might not even recover your losses and instead accumulate more of it because of your greediness and ambition to break even. If you have the chance to exit, do it gracefully. That way, it will bring less heartache and less losses. It's good that you've learned your lesson and I hope others will learn a thing or two on your experience to avoid undergoing the same stupid thing.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 01:43:07 PM
Gambling can be for anyone at the right age to gamble with enough funds to spend. It isn't enclosed to a certain age bracket or range, as long they are of legal age to bet and play, although typically, there are age ranges that mostly play a specific type of game. I guess this is because of the influence or the generation became used to certain games, and have fun playing various kinds that suit their liking as well.

If you are an adult that is still half the retirement age or near it, it's your choice whether to continue or to stop gambling. Retirement from gambling is a heavy thing especially to the regulars, so it will really have to be though of thoroughly. If you no longer have the capacity, financially speaking, to gamble, then quit already before it becomes a burden to you. But if you do have a budget allocation without destroying your priorities, then you can play as much even if you're past your prime. For me, it really depends on your capability to gamble, mentally, emotionally, and financially speaking.
