1141  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 07, 2023, 10:04:00 AM
More gamblers will appreciate using there phones to make bets than having to using desktops that are not always mobile. We cam take our phones to anywhere we like even to the toilet and secretly make bets or book games that we may want to paly letter.
Op need to know that desktop is not easy to use because it's partially mobile.

You are right about phones being more mobile because they are easy to carry around but not all players are people who are always on the move because there must be some of them who also spend more time at home so a desktop would be the choice and I don't know if there has been any research on that which device is more or chosen by the player so the assessment so far is only based on personal preferences and experience.

I haven't seen a study about it just yet, but there are already numerous website articles regarding which is more preferred by the players to use while gambling in their respective casino websites or applications. Mostly, the portability and ease of usage are what the gamblers are after to. Hence, there are really a huge populations siding with the mobile devices. However, if we're going to talk about the navigation and user interface, the desktop has a huge population as well.

It just really boils down to having various preferences and being in different circumstances in life. To some, desktop is better because they want the wider view and they can afford it, while some prefer mobile phone so they can bring and use it anywhere. There are certain times I'm also wondering which side will I be, but I guess I will be switching from one to another depending on my need and on my situation. Basically, whichever will work best while I'm in a specific position.
1142  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 07, 2023, 09:32:46 AM
True, but I think this has more to do with the gamblers themselves than the casinos, if you take a look at sports bets you will notice there are a lot of sports in which you may not be interested or that maybe you have never heard of, and yet the casino offers them as there is a big enough player base for this to be the case, if casinos are not offering P2P games I think this is simply because there is not enough demand for them among their clients.

This is right. Despite not being known to you, there are really games that are very much popular to others, hence having casinos offering those because they have large player population and there's a high demand for it. If there's a big demand for a game, most likely the casinos will cater the needs of their clients to ensure profit. This is because they have to take every opportunity they will get to gather more customers and potential regulars.

Some players do not really prefer p2p type of games because there's so much effort exerted in it and probably they just don't like the idea of it. Hence, you can see that in some casinos they don't have this type of game variation as there is little to no request for their clients to put up such game.

In my experience some gamblers do not like PVP games precisely for their nature of having to compete against other players, when a gambler plays against the casino and lose there is an argument which can be made about such day not being your lucky day, but when you lose and you are competing against other gamblers then you have no excuse at all, you lost because the other gamblers were better and this can be difficult for some persons to accept.

This has a point.

Some players hold so much pride to the point that they can't accept that there's a player better than them. Hence, they don't like the idea of someone beating them from a game, resulting to not playing p2p games at all. I know this sounds absurd, but there are really people like that. Some indeed prefer to lose against the house rather lose to a fellow player. I knew some people like this, and it's just a matter of preference and how you will take it to the heart I guess. After all, we can't deny that there are really people that value their ego so much they would rather not do something at all for the sake of protecting it.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: February 04, 2023, 05:13:19 PM
usually not too many young women like to play gambling, sometimes I often see middle-aged women who often play gambling like mahjong in front of my house every morning, so I'm confused to say what gambling games and sports are suitable for young women to play while I don't I've seen it before, but when asked what gambling is suitable, it seems that there are many games and sports that can be played as long as the woman understands how to play and gamble

I guess it depends on the preference of the ladies whether they like to gamble or not. Some ladies don't like the idea of gambling, while some are very much fond of it. We can indeed notice the age bracket of women betting and gambling. Like what you said, some women particularly the youngsters aren't much entertained with card games or dice games and the likes. If there are any gambling inclined, they are usually after the online gambling websites with luck based games or even sports betting.

Meanwhile, those older generation women are most likely to prefer having fun gambling with cards and the sorts of it as their pass time. However, I also firmly believe that gambling is gender-neutral. No matter what gender people have, as long as they are at the legal age, they are entitled to play the games they like. If they think a particular game suits them well, we have no right to judge or to impose on them, as long as they are doing it responsibly then they shouldn't be put in the bad light.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area - part 2 on: February 04, 2023, 04:00:07 PM
You need to be smart actually in order to earn as much as possible to thrive more to increase your income. Start to accept any kind of job that wouldn't put you in a prison to help yourself start saving even it is little. Then do some side hustles, a good character will help you to earn more even you're just a parking boy in a third world country for example.

A lot of side hustles are needed in order to more aside from being employed, because in a third world country for example, the bare minimum wage is not enough to be honest to live every single day.
1145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 04, 2023, 03:16:49 PM
The only downside that I can think of on the top of my head is the p2p nature of the game! We all know that regardless of how fascinating the game is, it's not going to get much traction if it's a p2p game especially on online crypto casinos.

P2P games is another feature which we do not find at casino or it is available very rare. Again we understand that casino does not gain much in P2P games but if they also introduce this feature, they can gather more people to come, deposit and play at their casino.

1146  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 04, 2023, 01:05:33 PM
Desktop and phones are both goods but for sure desktop is a favorite here cause we all know how it performs and we can say that desktop do a lot of things than phones like for example watching lives sports game. You can feel that like you are in the field. While using phones very small font. Desktop is not a hand carry so you can only use this in your room not anywhere while phone you can use this in publics.

Indeed. It's just a matter of preference, the situation and place you are currently in. For most gamblers who are capable of buying a desktop and owned a desktop, it is evident that you can do so much more using it compared to just merely using your mobile device. Websites are easier to navigate and see in desktop because it offers a wider view on your screen.

Meanwhile, mobile devices can be pretty much useful whenever you go out of your house and whenever you have some errands to run or wants to play a specific app. It's accessible and easy to carry around which you can opt to use as an alternative if ever you will be stepping out in public places.
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: February 04, 2023, 11:45:41 AM
I'm still holding most of my Bitcoin and waiting for the new all time high before planning to sell it. No need to chicken out since we all know that bearish market is not forever. Those who have a lot of patient are the ones who are going to harvest a lot of profits after some years of waiting. No need to sell unless you really need the money, if not, just keep on hodling.

Though others are doing buying low selling high after it pumps like a couple of grands. But I love one time selling to avoid getting stucked at a certain price.
1148  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 03:06:40 PM
For sure when Bitcoin make another all time high, your doubt will have a friend, and that is regret. I can't imagine myself regretting something that I could have done while it's not too late. Risking is a part of success, because that's how you're gonna find out if it's worth it or not. Trying is a part of growing, even if you failed, at least you've tried and learned something from it, rather than living all your life from what if(s).
1149  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: February 03, 2023, 01:33:24 PM
Stocks give like 20-30% returns in an year but bitcoin and other crypto coins can give this much return in just one day. At such, do you think that increasing popularity of bitcoin has reduced interest of people in stocks.

I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks. The awareness related to crypto is increasing day by day and this more people are getting included in this crowd. Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins. Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions. This cannot be done with stocks.

You can't blame them since the profit in Bitcoin after some years of waiting is really big, compare to stocks that you need to wait so long before you could make profits. People started to believe in Bitcoin because of its great potential. Even though a lot of people still doubt Bitcoin, some of them sees the chances of making wealth in the long run that they can't make in any other investment they made before.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 03, 2023, 12:30:04 PM
A rent to own or a loan that will give you a house right after you paid it, is a good decision. Renting a house forever will cost you a lot, and it is only for temporary. The disadvantage of it is that not every single time is you have money, and once you didn't pay the rent, you're living in the street and you don't want that to happen. Saving is also another option, then buy a house and lot.
1151  Economy / Economics / Re: I have resolved into buying more and caring less on: February 03, 2023, 11:29:47 AM
Well that's the right thing to do.

There's no reason for you to doubt Bitcoin if you're a Bitcoin enthusiast, dips only means a good opportunity to buy and hodl for long term in order to maximize the profits. Rumors and other FUD(s) will just create more opportunities, not to be discourage in buying more. I'd doubt altcoins but not Bitcoin, the king itself. Keep on buying, because even though it pumped up to $24,000, it's way too soon to assume that we're on a bull run already, also $24,000 is still too far from your selling price which would be over $60,000 or more.
1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success in futures trading after long wait. on: February 02, 2023, 02:01:44 PM
Maybe I am a little off, but I don't think this is a success yet until you close the position. You are only looking at "unrealized" profit. What id you wake up tomorrow and slow is down to $5, way past your liquidation price. Will it still look like a success?

Please, put in some risk management too, it could have gone worse and all your big position might have all been wiped. I am not sure if you would talk about that big loss too here.

Otherwise, good luck in your trades, it's a learning process all throughout

I agree.

That's why I always say to myself "take profit when you're happy" because most of the time, greediness will just bring us more losses in the long run especially the technical analysis we made is for a certain timeframe only that is not applicable for a long hodl 'till you make profits on your trade. Always put a stop loss and take profit to gain profits even though it's small or big, it's still a profit after all rather than having nothing.
1153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Remains at Critical Level of Buyers And Sellers on: February 02, 2023, 12:47:49 PM
Not too late for buyers to buy bitcoin and hodl it for long term investment. $24,000 is way too far from its past All Time High, so I don't why other people are still afraid to buy Bitcoin if they have the plan to do so. It's funny how newbies in cryptocurrency choose to buy Bitcoin when it's at its peak then blaming bitcoin for not giving them profits because it's started to dump since bearish market starting to happen again normally after bull run.

Their mistakes is that they don't want to risk big but wanted bigger profits, which contradicts everything.
1154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: February 02, 2023, 12:06:44 PM
AI is a program where it makes things easier for everyone. It answers your questions of things that you wanted to know and it saves you time researching about the things you ask. Instead of reading a book that'll take you some time to read its contexts, AI do it all for you, so you could ask things you wanted to know. It will not do the actual trading process for you, like entering a position and will give you easy win (profits) every single time.

It will just give you basic knowledge you need to know so that you can avoid mistakes as much as possible depending on how you will execute what you've learned. Trading is a long term process before you could make a lot of profits.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: February 01, 2023, 04:39:08 AM
Using gambling as a way to escape your reality can give you pros and cons in the long term.

If you are lonely, perhaps you could try other recreation activities in which you can enjoy while not spending a hefty amount over it. Because being lonely could really affect your emotions and your urge to spend just to feel secured and satisfied, only to notice you spent more than what you can afford right after playing or betting. If you want to unwind and relax, or just merely have fun because you feel lonely, at least set a specific budget amount of your spare money which you will only spend in gambling. Otherwise, you can get bankrupt if you'' let your emotions control you.

I have my instances where boredom gets to me and I want to do things for mere exploration and to serve as my past time. However, I limit myself in engaging and spending because it might do me more harm than good if I will not moderately do it.
1156  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 01, 2023, 03:49:57 AM
Depending to your need and to your want I guess, if you are outside your house and you can't bring your laptop or your computer then using your cellphone or your mobile devices is good enough to continue playing the game you want, casino website already adjust and they have their mobile versions where you can log in and use their services.

Comfortable wise, most if not all will still prefer to use a laptop/desktop computer. The wide range of screen and the UI are really enjoyable and relaxing, especially if you are winning the game.
Laptops can also be carry outside but there are still occasions where you can't just open your laptop with you like for example if you are inside a public vehicle and it was moving already and then you are also surrounded with other people. Some things can happen like it will be stolen to you because there are thefts inside the public vehicle who are watching you earlier. If not, you can also drop it and it will be damaged.

For those scenarios, phones are still the best to use but there are some games on some gambling sites which lags badly on my phone so I just skip those games for a while if I am commuting but I will only play them once I got home using my laptop.

Valid point. There are really certain games which you can't play outside if you are a desktop user. Despite having laptop to carry around with you, there are many instances that you can't really open and use your laptop because of security reasons and the hassle on your part if ever you are actively moving or in a public space where there are many people looking and there's no good space to place take a seat and access your laptop.

That is why having a mobile phone with you will still make things convenient if you really want to access your accounts, play some games, or make a bet. Although some people don't really prefer playing outside their homes and would rather prioritize their errands. Still, having a portable device which you can rely to is such a good thing if you want to have some entertainment in your free time out of your home.
1157  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits is stealing my money on: February 01, 2023, 03:06:06 AM
Hello

So I will make this simple. I am a long time VIP member with over $500,000 in bets on duelbits .
Recently when I was playing  on their site they did something very close to scamming so I told them that I thought they where scamming there customer and was closing my account . Before I closed my account I had a small balance left and wanted ti withdrawal . As I did this it was not much just 10.46$ they said they were going to keep my money and demanded kyc. Now this s after I have bet over 10k a week fir the last year . They got angry I called them out and then decided to demand kyc knowing I am closing my account after I withdrawal this small 10$ withdrawal.

This site is suppose to be a large reputable casino but there behavior is a joke and beyond unprofessional.
I said I was not doing any kyc and now they have said ten there keeping the money

Proof : chat log https://pasteboard.co/KZIXfxHxWtks.png
Proof withdrawal : https://pasteboard.co/Qdrr0oQvc1mg.png

I am happy I close my account before something happened with a larger amount of money

Have you read their TOS before doing such rush decision? If not, then I suggest you take a look and read it from there.

Basing on your conversation, the live support is polite enough to turn down your request and it is backed up with enough reason such as the company policy. It really is included in most casino websites that whenever they deem necessary to ask for KYC, they have the right to do so because they stated it in the terms to be agreed upon and you happen to agree with it. Unless you didn't really take your time to read, then it's your fault.

I don't see any unprofessionalism in the chat screenshot provided. It just seems that you don't totally understand the policy they laid before you to react such. You also accused them of "scamming" with no enough proof, just basing on your mere observations that could be wrong because of misinterpretation.
1158  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 01, 2023, 02:19:32 AM
https://nypost.com/2023/01/15/gambler-loses-massive-1-4-million-bet-on-chargers-jaguars-game/
Quote
One bettor wasted a massive $1.4 million wager after betting on Los Angeles before the Jaguars mounted an epic comeback to beat the Chargers 31-30, according to Action Network’s Darren Rovell.

It seems that a gambler has loss this massive amount (1.4 million USD) playing a bet with an odds lower than 1.01! (exactly 1.008)

I think there are several lessons here:
- there is not easy bet! even lower odds there is always a risk.
- it's really risky playing an huge amount. This not helps gambler because the risk is much much higher then rewards!
- gambling is not easy at all! it's really hard achieve a profit even for easy games!

what your opinion about this gambling issue? did you had experience similar experience? how a good gambler should avoid such mistakes?

I have lost some of my money in gambling way back. It was due to me being careless, not analyzing the situation and then everything else followed. It was an amount that I can't say I totally afford to lose which made it a learning lesson and experience to look back to today. It was hard accepting that the hard-earned money was gone in a snap, but I guess we all make mistakes. Although right now, I can say that I'm more financial literate and I still have a lot to learn.

With this, I can say that it's not really a good idea to bet and risk an amount you can't really let go and shrug off if things go haywire. A person must only risk what he can afford to lose to avoid deep regrets and resentment towards oneself. Betting with limitations is a must too. Someone should know when to stop to avoid accumulation of funds spent in gambling. Specific fund allocation could be an effective way to lessen the betting amount as long as you can adhere to it.
1159  Economy / Gambling / Re: I accidentally deposited to self-excluded stake.com account. on: January 31, 2023, 11:40:26 AM
I accidentally deposited 3.067 ETH to my self-excluded stake.com account, and live support does not let me withdraw.

I really need to withdraw my funds, what can I do?

Foremost, you should read the terms of service of Stake. Doing this will help you determine what could be done based on their policies.

As far as I know, the moment you requested to be self-excluded, you shouldn't make any transactions in that particular account because it's no longer counted as active unless the period of self-exclusion has elapsed already. Depositing funds is one of the main things you shouldn't do because you won't be allowed to withdraw it. If that's the same instance for stake, then most probably you have to wait for your self-exclusion to be over before you could get your money back.

Since you already contacted their customer support representative, it seems that that's also their policy since they didn't let you withdraw. After all, if it's already stated into the agreement, you can hardly do anything about it. If you badly need that fund, I suggest looking for an alternative way to generate that again. It's still your responsibility to double check your account before making any kind of transactions in it, so we can't really put the blame on the casino.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 31, 2023, 11:00:45 AM
Hi gamblers, it's a simple question I want to ask...

Remember it is said that, in gambling, the house always wins, I Want us to look at this two scenarios and tell if this are not actually a way to win/beat the house..

Imagine yourself as a new gambler who just joined a casino, played a few dollars and with luck on your side, you win money running into thousands of dollars, will withdrawing your money plus winnings from that casino, never to return there to play again, mean you have beaten that casino?

Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

That's one of the possible things people can do to kind of "beat the house". Although it's one of the ways to gamble naturally speaking, you can call this winning over the casino on your perspective because you won over them and utilized your winnings right after getting it instead of betting one more time. But this isn't always the case and isn't always the same for everyone. So basically, the casino house is still winning because players are still spending their money to make and place some bets.

Casino owners wouldn't really make a charity work, so most probably they will still have so much profit every time a player play in their site or their establishment. After all, a collective bet is worth a dime already if it will be totaled.
