1261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: copytrading on: December 30, 2022, 02:27:27 AM
No offense but copy trading for me is like burning your money with someone else idea on how to "make" profits in trading. But if you really want to try it, then go ahead. In my opinion, I'd rather slowly make profits in spot trading, buying low and selling high, little by little but sure profit. Then I'll go ahead in futures, to level up the thrill and profits, but of course you have to prepare yourself, study more, to avoid liquidations as much as possible.

But to be honest, you'll need a lot of money in trading before you could make a lot of profits because of experience.
1262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It Is Possible To Invest In Crypto Currency Without Buying Any Coins. on: December 30, 2022, 12:37:12 AM

For example,  a company like Tesla, holds over billion dollars in Bitcoin and is known to have accepted Bitcoin payments in the past. It is one of the top choices amongst a host of others who use and accept crypto currency for payments and trade.

Isn't it's just the same? I mean in exchange of your products you'll acquirw cryptocurrency, not just directly. You just want the longer process because you'll just wait for someone who'll pay your products using cryptocurrency which for me is not worth it since product depreciate overtime, so buying cryptocurrency directly to an exchange is the best and hold it to your own wallet which you hold your own keys.

Are there any other methods you know, that one can buy/invest in crypto from without using a regular exchange or trader?

https://www.investopedia.com/indirect-crypto-investment-6386330

You could buy it directly from someone, but first you have to vouch that person before proceeding to avoid getting scam, and make your that person won't cause you any harm after transaction.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 29, 2022, 03:38:51 PM
Have you ever thought of a government implementing a Cashless gambling?  Making hard cash obsolete for gambling purposes?  Armenia is currently pushing this law that force their gambler to do gambling transaction via bank[1].  It was stated that the said law is created so that the government can tax gambling institutions effectively.  They also add an additional requirement that the gambling establishment needs to pay in order to get the desired licenses on how much  bet the establishment can accept.

This may look profitable for the government but I believe it will hit hard gamblers.  With the implementation of cashless gambling, gamblers are now exposed since they have to use their credit cards or debit card to play.  (Another way of the government to spy on their citizen.)

In a positive note, minors gambling incident would greatly reduced because the gambling transaction can now be traced via bank statement, except if these minors can freely use their parent's cards.

May take on this.. screw the government if we really wanted to do cashless gambling, there is always a cryptocurrency gambling platform option where we can at least play gambling without the need to use our bank account.

So what do you think about this cashless gambling, is this another breakthrough of the gambling industry or just a way of the government to track their citizen and earn from the gambling establishment.

[1] https://www.casino.org/news/armenia-introduces-new-taxes-restrictions-on-its-gaming-industry/

I think it has positive and negative outcome if it will be implemented.

If this will be imposed in most countries, it could lessen the population of youths gambling. This would prohibit the underage to gamble since they have to use debit or credit cards which are usually offered and issued to adults who are already working.

This would also lessen the population of gamblers because not everyone has debit and credit card to begin with. Those who aren't qualified to have it won't be able to gambler. Which could either be a positive or negative effect depending on where you will view it.

Regarding the negative effect, the personal information could be at risk since the information of the cards will be monitored and will be stored in the casino's database that will be sent to the government as well if it's required by their contract. The average people and the poor can't gamble of they aren't qualified to get one. This could pose discrimination against those who aren't wealthy enough to acquire a card.

If physical casinos will impose this, surely majority will have a hard time adjusting to the policies given. There are already crypto casino that are doing this, but as far as I know physical establishments still cater accepting physical fiat because of inclusivity reasons.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 29, 2022, 02:48:31 PM
I consider myself a gambling addict. However, unlike gambling addicts, I'm aware of my addiction and I know how to control it. What I love most is playing poker and also sports betting. The latter is the one that screws me the most. Even though, I can get some real good profits,
sometimes I get wild and end up losing all of my money.

To avoid, running after the loss, I have set up the responsible gambling in my account and it helps me a lot to control the bad beats against my will to recharge my account and ending up losing it all again.

For me this has been working for quite some time and it was a way I found to prevent me from throwing money that I need away.

Any of you guys uses the responsible gambling feature? If so, what do you think about it? Is it helpful or does it only gives you a sense of control

I haven't encounter responsible gambling feature just yet but from the name itself, it sounds like it's needed to be implemented in most casinos for players who are addicted to be of assistance. I don't know how it works, but I assume it is intended for a controlled pacing of placing gambling bets after several losses or winnings.

It's good to know that there are still people who are addicted in gambling that are self-aware and are doing something about their addiction wholeheartedly so they could get better. Overcoming addiction is never easy. If it were, there would be no rehabilitation centers intended for it. Hopefully, you'll overcome it at your own pacing and start to gamble responsibly and moderately if ever you recover and decide to try to gamble again.
1265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: December 29, 2022, 01:45:44 PM
I've been tutored and self study at the same time by YouTube videos of traders that I found interesting. Studying with just text is confusing to me, that's why I searched for a lot of videos about trading, it took me a week before I found the right channel that provided me easy yet very informative videos. Some friends of mine sometimes are giving advices and tips that also helps when I started trading in futures.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: December 28, 2022, 04:01:39 PM
It is not easy for you to split the win 50-50 with your boss,it is only a greedy boss that will demand for this. Was it his boss that gave him the money in which he used in gambling ? For peace to reign and to continue working with my boss,I might accept it. The boy should give his girlfriend what she demanded for,if not for her money he wouldn't have won the game that is to say that the money brought him good luck.

No, OP said it in the first post that the money belonged to the apprentice. In this case it's clear and simple - the boss has nothing to do with the win and he should not get anything from it.
Maybe if I was friends with him I'd give him a tip, buy him a gift or treat him to a meal, but I wouldn't share the win and by law I wouldn't have to.

The first situation is much more difficult as the money was borrowed. Technically the man shouldn't share the win because the girlfriend wasn't even there when he gambled and they had no written agreement before he went gambling.
Being in this situation I'd give her a bonus like return 2 times the borrowed money as a thank you. I'd say she brought me luck. He didn't give her anything and that made her angry.

I very much agree with this.

The scenario wherein the boss have so much guts to ask for a share when in fact he has no contribution to the bet made by his employee is pure greed. I see no reason why the employee should give him a portion of his prize aside from being given to wholeheartedly and not being told to do so. This is because all of the money that was gambled was the employee's fund in the first place. The boss didn't do something for them to win or whatever. Hence, he has no right to ask for a part of it, what more a half of it knowing he has no direct involvement aside from being the boss.

Regarding the stolen money from partner, it's not right to steal money, but it's not right either to demand a half or more than half of the winnings because you weren't the one who gambled. The much better situation would be given a portion of the winning prize, perhaps twice or thrice the money borrowed as a token. Criticize the act so that respect will still remain, then celebrate together. Since after all, they are still a couple.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 28, 2022, 03:22:43 PM
Acually I don't have that kind of friends who will give me 10k usdt for playing in casino. Still if someone ever gives I think, then I will first divide it into several parts and especially I will invest a good amount in sports betting than in casino. Even then there is also more options games in casino what I like is blackjack , poker and some slot. And I also don't invest all funds at once .

I also don't have a friend that will give, let me borrow, or even let me risk a generous amount for a bet. This is because this subject matter is a really risky one. The moment the supposed player messed up, then it's all over. The friendship will be gone and so is the money if ever the result would be consecutive losses.

Although if I would have, I probably would also allot much of it to sports betting because that is what I'm inclined to compared to casino games. Strategy and knowledge, together with good smart guessing and gut feeling are what you need in sports betting that will make your chances of winning higher if ever you possess more or all of it.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 28, 2022, 02:00:15 PM
I have seen it many times on television where people in uniform do something to protect against the illegal activity of any business and not just gambling. In the end, the authorities caught them red-handed handing over security money and reported it to the public. And it's no longer a secret if a person or several people in uniform use their power to have a side business. It really needs people who are honest in their duties to eradicate these illegal activities because it will never be easy.
Regulations are never implemented if officials in uniform are dishonest in their duties, they forbid it because they do not get a tip from the provider of the cockfighting place and after they get it, the torture of cockfighting is allowed to go free without any regulations, so honest officials are needed to eradicate cockfighting gambling, so Animal abuse will not happen again in the future.
well , I have known many official that is truly involving in cockfighting , they even owned many cocks or being operator of the gambling place , so basically this will be harder to totally eradicate as this has been spread in the whole country .
so let's see how this runs for over decades or even centennial.

Indeed. Most of the time, there are really government authorities themselves that are largely involved in cockfighting. This is one of the major reasons why it can't be abolished for good aside from the cultural and traditional reasons.

A lot of powerful politicians and even personalities that are wealthy are involved in gambling such as this that hinders those who are in charge to put a stop in this operation. Hence, cockfighting still continues and is becoming more rampant. Personally, I really detest those government officials involve in gambling because they have an oath and principles to uphold. If they were to promote it people become more inclined to it and they could probably forget their duties to their country and constituents.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 27, 2022, 02:32:08 PM
If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.

what would you do

I'd probably go for sports betting because it requires knowledge about the sports and team record to be able to place a nice bet. The probability of winning lies on how you assess the information you have at hand. So you have the edge if you know how to assess and analyze things. The better chance of winning if you have a good sense of prediction and gut feeling. Since luck also plays a role in sports betting aside from utilizing what you already knew.

However, I will definitely make it clear to my friend that we will not undergo the blaming game once things don't go out on our favor and expectations. There should be a written agreement about the winnings and losses so that no one will have hard feelings after it's done, whatever the results are. After all, it's him who reached out, therefore it must not take a toll on my mental health and well-being after I did what I'm supposed to do.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 27, 2022, 01:14:20 PM
Yeah it's still possible because if you follows the requirements then there is every possibilities that you would be given the bonus otherwise if you didn't meet the requirements then nothing for you as well.
Eg, like the Duelbits you made mentioned of if they don't set up a limits number of persons that would be needed to meet up with the bonuses.

Casino bonuses could be worth it if you are willing to wager the specific amount indicated in the TOS in the very beginning. If you happen to win a good amount of prize in casino spin or whatever promotion they are offering, you could utilize it if you are to adhere in their policies.

However, if you don't want to fulfill what they ask you to do, then most probably you are just wasting your time in playing for the bonuses that you won't even have the chance to use and withdraw. Welcome bonuses are enticing, yes. But you should take note of the features and process of the casino you are going to play to. Otherwise you'll just put yourself in trouble for chasing bonuses for new players. Some casinos still give a good welcome bonus for beginners, but it shouldn't be your priority if you want a casino to play for good. Quality of service is still what will make you stay in the long run.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 27, 2022, 12:39:30 PM

Hobbies can overcome any restrictions that have been banned by the government, cockfighting will continue to exist in the midst of society even though they know this type of gambling does not get a good response from the government. They will look for a place away from the crowds to channel their hobbies, even though at certain times law enforcers come uninvited, they will make negotiations at the scene so they don't get caught in the law.
The level of punishment for cockfighting perpetrators should be increased for making pets suffer which is considered entertainment for some people.

Indeed.

Those who do cockfighting will just find ways on how they will continue their gambling habits illegally if the government will ban this. They will just relocate somewhere far from the authorities to organize their event and this is much even worse because it is no longer regulated by the authorities. The authorities won't be able to keep an eye on them that could just make things so much horrible because they could include other bad habits while playing and betting such as having drinks on the side, or even using illegal drugs on the actual site of cockfighting event that is hidden.

However, we can't fully eliminate this because of culture and traditional differences. As much as I abhor the thought of humans playing with animals that could cost the latter's life, I cannot impose my beliefs because each place and people has their own to begin with.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 27, 2022, 11:14:39 AM
Ask or wait for someone to organize it then. If it is esports betting then, unfortunately, not all online or ny kind of gme would be featured. Games on esports betting are mostly ones with huge community of players. If I'm not mistaken, p2p games such as tekken and mortal combat, has not that large community of players; mostly are the ones with consoles at home. Unlike with MOBA type of game or multiplayer games which somehow has a bigger fan base. I'm not quite sure why. I've experienced playing 'versus' games and they re fun to play but ofcourse 'majority' would be more considered. If you really like to, you may find fellow bettors on a p2p tournament to somehow be ble to bet on it. But it would be hard to assume it on a bigger 'stage' on this industry, atleast for now.

I agree with this.

In p2p like tekken and mortal combat, there's a console needed to be able to play unlike other casinos games out there that are easily accessible by anyone. While there could be games that could cater p2p through website and application on devices, the community of p2p isn't really that big compared to other games that are existing such as casino related games that are based on luck and/or strategy, and sports betting.

The majority should really be considered for something to become successful because before it can be adopted, it needs to have many patronage so that casinos would feel the need of having it in their platform.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 27, 2022, 10:30:29 AM

I agree. The casinos should be very careful with those welcome bonuses as the cheaters and abusers create different accounts just to take profit from those bonuses.Casinos though are one step ahead than the cheaters and they put wagering requirements which rarely you can pass them before withdrawing so that is being used as a tool to stop abusers because if the bonuses had no wagering requirements the casinos would have no way to forbid cheaters from abusing these bonuses.

Casinos are now really careful because they are well-aware about the cheating issues and abusive instances that people are doing from their platform. These concerns are one of the main reasons why casinos are now imposing a stricter rules and policies the players should abide.

Casinos put wagering requirement for players to withdraw their prizes in promotions because they knew if they won't, people will just create multiple accounts to get as much money as they could and want, due to the system's shortcoming. Meanwhile, KYC was also made to avoid multiple accounts as well and to avoid abusing the campaigns and bonuses intended for new players.
1274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: December 24, 2022, 09:00:17 PM
It is true that some people have become rich through crypto trading in the recent times. But considering the high risk involved in trading, do you think it's proper/wise to trade with borrowed funds as your capital irrespective of your trading experience?

It's not that bad if you're going to borrow that from a friend, and if possible, no interest since your friend might be generous or just really wanted to help you out since they are rich, but if you're gonna borrow from a bank? I don't think so. Trading is not an easy way to earn money, I mean not that fast. It will take a lot of time to gain experience, failures, and money before you could make a lot of profits in trading.

If you're thinking you could be rich instantly in trading that's why your brain's giving you a thought of borrowing money from someone or from the bank for your capital, don't do it.
1275  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: December 24, 2022, 12:47:54 PM

Regardless where we live, money is our top priority in order to survive and thrive. Having enough money to fall back on means we are entitled to more choice and possibilities. Like it or not, we are chasing or being forced to chase money in most phases of our life. Financial freedom has been most people's ultimate goal for decades, if not for centuries. To achieve this goal, we will encounter endless challenges. Each of us has a unique life situation so what is your biggest obstacle to achieving it ? I know we can make a long list of problems but there must be one or two primary reasons that really hold you back. This is where we should focus and I would like to hear your story. Thanks.

Lack of support, from your family and government is the first reason I could think of, because even though you didn't have the opportunity to finish any degree or even high school, it doesn't mean that you will not be successful. Enough support firstly from your family is very important, because that'll boost your confidence that you need on keep on trying until you succeed.

Support from the Government is important as well, because not all people finished their studies, that's why Government should give them jobs that is suited for them that pays well based on their job and skills.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 24, 2022, 11:20:41 AM
Probably when something really life and death emergency situation happened ( I hope not to) that requires a lot amount of money, like a lot, then I will be force to sell some of my holdings rather than taking a loan from a bank, because that's the purpose why we save money, to have something to spend just in case something happens.
1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 24, 2022, 09:40:27 AM
When a man gets married to a woman to become husband and wife, they become one and everyone expects that they can get to share everything with each other. I know of women who have the passwords to their husbands bank cards and they can make withdrawals on his behalf. I will like to ask the Men here if they have shared their seed phrase with their wife's? I will like to ask the women here how they will feel if their husbands refuse telling them their seed phrase?

Very good question.

I believe it would depends, because not all housewives are good in handling money or budgeting them, instead it's the other way around. Some or should I say most of the housewives are good in spending their money on things that they wanted, instead of needs. I would not have any problem sharing my seed phrase to my wife since I know she's good in handling money. She rarely spend money on things she wanted since our priority is our kids first.

Also, she will always ask permission if she's going to spend our money. We always talk whenever we're going to make a decision. It is important that the decisions or feelings are always mutual.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: December 23, 2022, 03:41:54 PM

The gambler's emotions can go up and down along with the wins and losses he experiences so if he can't control himself, he can get stuck in a situation he doesn't want. His losses would also be even greater than before, especially when he deposited more money into his account just to continue playing. But that will not prevent the addicted person from depositing money. They will continue to play if they have money in their account or wallet.

This is true. Emotions play a big role in the chances of winning or losing the game. If you don't have enough mental headspaace to grasp the things happening and is currently experiencing negative vibes, you should definitely stop playing. This is to avoid the higher possibility of you losing in the game. The moment you knew you are not mentally capable of playing because you are already low-spirited, you should slow down and take a break.

Chasing winnings won't do you any good. Instead of winning, you might end up losing in repeating manner without you even noticing it because you keep on playing just to win. Strategies and risk analysis are essential in winning the game. If you can't do it at your present state, then do not play and bet. Otherwise you'll just lose your funds.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 23, 2022, 02:51:42 PM
I haven't taken my time to claim bonuses except for first deposit bonus and most times tye deposit bonus shouldn't be the one with so many rules and easy to claim.
Outside this very type of bonus which is the welcome bonus, I think every other bonus will have to require you do a lot of task and for that of the wagering bonuses, I feel it's always a dead trap and most of this casinos wouldn't want to make the task an easy one just as people and OP said earlier so as not to give room for abuse.
I'm in the opinion that wagering bonus is just chasing after clouds.

Free bonus isn't really reliable because it's only a small amount most of the time that isn't worth the shot. This is because, if you aigned up and you were given free spins, you'll have to wager a specific amount first before you could withdraw your prize. They wouldn't let you go off the hook that easily. simply because of course, they are still a business.

Nowadays, it's already seldom to find a website that offers a decent and enticing prize the moment you spin. It's just their way to encourage players to deposit and play. It's up to you whether you'll grab it or not. If you think it is worth it, then go for it. Otherwise, just don't bother to spend time, effort, and fund over it.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 23, 2022, 02:04:06 PM
The best way is to check with other users and opt for the casinos that are here for longer
Those trying out new websites often have higher chances of falling for a scam.
Always better to stay alert in this space.

It's really one of the good ways to countercheck whether a casino is legitimate and reputable or not is through their players. The satisfied players will definitely make a positive review about them in no time because they have received the good quality of service they are looking for. However, you should be mindful of legit positive reviews from fake reviews that are just made up because they are told and paid to do so.

If the casino is reputable it will be manifested through the community. You will see several posts and threads about their good work if ever they are worthy and you'll see hefty of negative ones if they are not. It's just a matter of deciphering which ones are true and which are biased reviews. Of course, the longer they are in the industry, the better. But this isn't always applicable. You still have to look for other features and sides too. You have to consider your preferences, their processes, and their after sales service.
