The best way is to check with other users and opt for the casinos that are here for longer
Those trying out new websites often have higher chances of falling for a scam.
Always better to stay alert in this space.

It's really one of the good ways to countercheck whether a casino is legitimate and reputable or not is through their players. The satisfied players will definitely make a positive review about them in no time because they have received the good quality of service they are looking for. However, you should be mindful of legit positive reviews from fake reviews that are just made up because they are told and paid to do so.

If the casino is reputable it will be manifested through the community. You will see several posts and threads about their good work if ever they are worthy and you'll see hefty of negative ones if they are not. It's just a matter of deciphering which ones are true and which are biased reviews. Of course, the longer they are in the industry, the better. But this isn't always applicable. You still have to look for other features and sides too. You have to consider your preferences, their processes, and their after sales service.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: December 22, 2022, 03:41:38 PM
I do not know about those illegally operated casinos, but if a casino has a licence and operate legally, it would be in the ToS that certain regions or countries are not allowed to make use of their gambling services. This would help against what you are talking about as they operate legally. Which means all money won by customers has nothing to do with the regulators or governments than paying tax.

I agree with this. I think locations do not matter on the winning amount the players can win because the casinos are to decide on it overall speaking. If there's one thing that would vary is that the games that can be played and the operation of the casino in different countries.

This is because in some countries, they allow gambling but only to a certain extent and only to specif kinds of games. And there are also countries that do not really permit the operations of casinos. In this case, you'll see that it is stated in their TOS that they do not operate in countries because of banning issue and the likes.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 22, 2022, 03:09:30 PM
Without a doubt cultural differences can lead to different views about this, while some people may not see anything wrong with this some others may see in this a form of animal cruelty, personally I am not fond of this, and this is because if the whole point is to gamble some money and get some fun then I can do this in other gambling games without the need for any animal to end injured or dead, so I think of this as completely unnecessary.

Yes. Cultural differences will be there. And therefore we need to refrain from imposing our views on others and respect their personal freedom. Irony dies a thousand deaths when someone sitting in the US or the EU wants to lecture on someone else who is part of a tribal community in Indonesia or Vietnam regarding animal cruelty. These people are practicing their customs for many thousands of years, suddenly some outsiders want them to stop doing that. And the same people who lecture them have no problem with animal cruelty that is going on in the mega corporate agrobusinesses in US/EU.
I agree that there will be cultural differences because if we look at Asian countries, this cockfight is still frequently contested. This is difficult to stop because this tradition has existed since ancient times. And that will depend on each person who gambles because we also cannot impose our will on those still playing cockfighting, especially if most of the population there really likes playing cockfighting. We could get into trouble if we keep asking them not to play cockfighting and even if the government asks them to stop, it won't be easy either.

Cultural differences really plays a part in cockfighting in various countries that allow this kind of gambling. Each countries have different traditions and culture which we can't really change, thus, we can't really force them to abandon their cockfighting habits most especially if their government permits this in their locality.

Although for sure there are types of organizations that fight against their cruel acts on animals. What we can do is to just advocate it if it's our principles as well and avoid engaging in it since we can't really impose our beliefs and idealogies to others.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 22, 2022, 02:13:02 PM
Some online casinos that exist today have a support feature that can be used to make several reports regarding ongoing problems. when a lot of bad and average reviews have been resolved well, then the support at the casino is quite helpful and gives priority service to users. But there are casinos that have lots of problems but no response whatsoever, casinos like that won't last long. Online casinos will not be 100% perfect, there will definitely be some problems that can occur, support can be provided by making reports, giving some positive feedback and so on. it will build a more powerful and convenient casino platform for users.

Indeed. All casinos have their fair shares of shortcomings. It just depends on how they will resolve it and how fast they can address the concern to satisfy their customer. After sales service is important too for the players and customers. Not only the experience during their purchase or playing time matters but also the after care they will receive from the customer representative of the company.

If the casinos won't act fast regarding the issues and concerns of the players they are receiving, most likely they will go downhill in no time. Businesses need to be responsible and approachable because those are one of the key factors in staying for the long run.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 22, 2022, 01:30:58 PM
some of applies wagering requirements which is very hard to complete without losing money greater than bonus that you acquired. I know that wagering requirements is calculated by the casino so that can't go bankrupt by abusing this bonus.
You answered yourself, betting companies are business. Every steps they take they take it to generate review so that first they can pay their employees, then pay for the resources and other costs before the owners make a profit from it.

These bonuses are a way for them to hook you up and then once you are hooked then you will spend money. Ultimately the house will make money.

Indeed. During the beginning of the casino's journey, they do most things to gauge customers and encourage them to be players to profit. They initially launch things that has the high possibility to catch the interest of the people such as having promotions, bonuses, free spins and the likes.

These promotions they set up are intended to let you be hooked up in their play and spend money on their site. Of course, they would like you to play continuously ao that their business will generate income. Now, it's up to you to distinguish whether a promotion is worth it or not. You can always assess the circumstances and decide from there.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 21, 2022, 03:29:21 PM
Every good companies or business have bad reputations that re spread intentionally by haters, you can't be successful and not have people that will want to stop and ruin that success for you, if this isn't happening to you yet then you are not successful.

The only difference is bad companies have way more bad reputations than the good ones because it's real, but good companies rep are intentionally ruined by haters, period.

This is one of the common dirty tactics in competition. If the business owner can see that the other business is going well, they will intentionally spread bad rumors about their competitors so that people will stop using and availing their services. Instead of people patronizing and staying loyal to their casino, they would rather find another one.

There are paid reviews that are biased and are full of lies just to being up the other and bring down the other. Some casino owners pay people just to leave bad feedback on the services of their competitor casino. They would also try to pay people for positive review of their casino so they would have a clean and pleasant name to the community. Each casinos could definitely have some shortcomings. It will just depend on how they will address their players and potential players concern to establish a great reputation that could be trusted.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 21, 2022, 02:00:32 PM

It would have been somewhat more acceptable if it had been organized by ferocious animals instead of cockfighting. But the animals by which they are organized are called domestic animals. As a result, if you gamble by harming those animals, there should be more pain than pleasure. Although those who have already involved themselves in such activities may have rejected the affection and love they have for the animals. Moreover, Animal Resources Department will never condone such activities.

I don't think its more acceptable if the animals that are fighting with one another because humans made them do so were the cruel ones. This is because despite being violent in nature, they are still living things that deserve to live peacefully in their natural habitat. Being subjected to fighting forcefully just for the sake of entertainment and betting isn't justifiable. It's unhumane. These kinds of cruelty should be stopped because animals aren't toys to be played with.

Human aren't the only ones who feel pain and suffering. Animals can feel those too. For sure if you were on the shoes of those game cocks and other animals that are required to fight for survival, you wouldn't feel amused.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 21, 2022, 12:44:42 PM
I think kyc system sort of kills the purpose of using cryptocurrencies. It feels lot more safe/independent to move my wealth through crypto because of obvious reasons. Many people prefer crypto to take a breath out of government controlled financial world.
When I think about casino side, they should always establish it in a relaxed law country. Giving exceptions to users that can move through some regulations may also help.

If you really don't want to undergo KYC, then just find another option that doesn't require one. Unfortunately though, most exchangers and casinos now require to undergo verification process before you can make an account. If you just want to have a secure place to put your crypto, one of the best option is to place it in hardware wallet or cold wallet which don't require information gathering.

However, if you are going to exchange your crypto in fiat money, you're most likely to uae an exchanger which in this current time is requiring KYC before you can process a transaction. I think it's just a matter of choosing your hard.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: December 21, 2022, 11:46:31 AM
Usually, it starts with losing bets but my case was a bit different. I have lost 2k in 3 days and tried to recover losses, it was naive decision since new to this industry and was not familiar how bad loss streaks can go. After those bad days, winning streaks bring back all losses then big wins, I didn't know it was the first brick on the gambling wall. I never let the people to try gambling if they have never done this before, it is kind of "save" tbh..

Usually it starts with lossing bets, but your case is a bit different when you lost $2k in 3 days? That's no difference in there I guess? Lol.
However, it doesn't really usually starts with lossing bets. Have you ever heard of beginners' luck? Most of my colleagues before had it, but not me. Beginners luck usually the start for a person to get involved more time in gambling.

Losing $2k in 3 days is a huge loss for most gamblers, who will regret using that kind of money. In addition, it will be very difficult to recover from that big loss because we don't know how much money we have to use to play gambling until we can recover from it. But if it's a newbie, I feel a newbie at gambling might have his luck winning some money, which keeps them coming back a few days later. But they shouldn't think that luck will always be with them when playing gambling because luck will only come to the right person and they deserve luck.

Gambling is a form of a very expensive entertainment but for people losing 2000 dollars in 3 days it is no big deal if they are gambling regulars. If that was a newbie that is a huge mistake and of course he will try to recover his money which in turn can lead to a more fatal error that of becoming addicted.

I don't believe that newbies has luck, this is just a superstition going on in gambling circles but when I was working in a casino many many years ago,I have seen newbies losing like 4000 EUR in less than half hour,it all depends on luck.

Even if you are a regular gambler, losing $2000 in 3 days could still be a huge amount. This is because each gambler has different budget allocation intended to be spent in gambling. If it isn't the amount they can afford to lose, then certainly it's a big amount despite being regulars. It could still be a big deal.

Regarding beginner's luck, it's really about the mindset you have. Some have mind conditioning that because they're still new in some game, the odds will be in their favor for them to repeat over again. It could work for them and that's good. It's all about how you will view things and how you will trust on it to be manifested. There's no harm in believing in beginner's luck except for when you recklessly beleive in it without thinking.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: December 21, 2022, 10:42:44 AM

We can only try each strategy one by one and keep making other strategies to win a lot of money. But in making that strategy, we also have to realize that strategy is just a way to help us win and lose is definitely behind every strategy so we shouldn't feel satisfied if the strategy we use works. Indeed, there is no perfect strategy, but from every strategy, there is something that will help us to win. The important thing is that you can control the use of money in each strategy because that will determine how much you will lose in gambling.

You are right. There is no perfect strategy and a strategy that can be applicable to anyone at any given circumstances. There are techniques that should only be done in a specific game or scenario that isn't really suitable for other types of play. If you want to win, you should know how to come up with various plans and strategies that you could resort to the moment your go-to one won't work the same way.

You should know how to analyze a situation and assess the risks first before executing. Otherwise, you might end up losing despite having a plan in mind. Strategy is alwways handy to make some winning. But it doesn't guarantee a winning so don't set up too much high expectations.
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will digital dollar be a threat to bitcoin? on: December 20, 2022, 03:47:16 PM
I'm afraid it is not.

Any kind of fiat currency does not have the chance to be superior to Bitcoin, in my opinion. Fiat and Bitcoin are completely different from each other, even though it is a digital dollar or whatever currency it is, you can't hide the fact that it is still fiat and is controlled by the Government. Besides, I highly doubt that everyone could use the digital payment instead of cash since not all of the people have the privilege to buy gadgets in able to do so.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria to limit cash withdrawals on: December 20, 2022, 02:31:45 PM

Even without the push for CBDC central banks around the world have been limiting the amount of cash to withdraw. Only this time they are fast-tracking the use of CBDC in the country where people are also aware of BTC.

It's been a failure so there is the need to push CBDC harder to make it. If they are to fight this, it's best for people to also not deposit cash to keep the cash circulating.

I agree.

Since banks and government cannot find a way on how to tax cryptocurrency, it seems that this CBDC thing is the only way on how they can control the fiat circulation in the internet (digital payments) and they can easily track people who are making a lot of money that they didn't know which of course they are going to tax more. This CBDC thing to me smells fishy, I don't trust the banks.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: A fact that the general public don't know on: December 20, 2022, 01:22:19 PM
Since Bitcoin started to become valuable, like its price booms up, some people find it a good way to scam people, because Bitcoin is a good bait or other potential cryptocurrency to lure people in, to invest their money on their "company" or to make their money triple in just 1 week or whatever. It's not new nowadays about cryptocurrency are being used on such things, after some time, it will dissipate.

When it's bearish market, expect a lot of bad news about cryptocurrency and things that are related to it.
1294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: December 20, 2022, 11:15:02 AM
Hi all,my friends
I've been away from cryptoworld for 2 years and i want to ask something to the esteemed audience
What the fuck is going on here?
I'm sorry,i don't have any other words
Why is bitcoin trading at 2020 prices?
This is unbelievable!!!
I sold all my bitcoins in 2021 and went to live in another country and left the cryptoworld, but i'm shocked
Is this all because of the war?
Or because of the government sticking its nose into this market?
What happened?Huh

Season's changed. Bull market was over and Bearish market took over, which is a good opportunity to buy again and wait for the next bull run. There's nothing new to be honest, I bet you experience a lot of bearish market already but it seems like you didn't know the term. Volatility is one of the reasons why Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are all red, you know, altcoins always follow Bitcoin, when it's down, then most of them are all down as well.
1295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: December 20, 2022, 10:18:49 AM
In my country up to 7 people I knew very well ( friends and family ) want me to help them invest money in crypto, after telling them the risk involved and how it will be better if they learn themselves they turn the idea down..

Now they want me to invest their own money on coins and they aren't ready to choose the coins they will like themselves.

After thinking this through and through I started feeling like they are doing this to hold me responsible if something goes wrong.

Is my thoughts right? If you are in my shoes what will you do?

Well that's what gonna happen if you'll accept what they are asking you to do for themselves. Avoid those kind of people, too lazy to study about cryptocurrency and yet wanted to make profits. Recently a friend of mine asked something similar, he wanted to invest in Bitcoin, particular. I've said he has to study first the basics, at least he will have an idea about how it works, therefore he could avoid sudden panic selling if the market continuous to drop.

He asked if it's possible to lose his money in trading, and I said yes, after that he back down real quick. In short, people who really doesn't know the benefits and advantages of cryptocurrency will always have different mindset (like getting rich overnight, etc.) or they are easy to intimidate.

1296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges charging for inactive accounts . Do you support this ? on: December 17, 2022, 03:23:35 PM
I personally think that more exchanges should adopt this as long as users don't get charged when they have nothing on their accounts because it seems like something that would encourage users from keeping their funds in off exchanges.

I agree.

It's a win-win for both parties, exchanger won't earn money in inactive accounts and inactive accounts would be force to withdraw their money on a wallet that is much safer. I bet those inactive accounts are (1) traders who quit trading, or (2) hodlers who are storing their cryptocurrency in an exchange since maybe they are just beginners that doesn't have any idea where to keep it while waiting.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins future is Bright on: December 17, 2022, 02:39:07 PM
Bitcoin technology is a work of art, have a lot of potential compare to fiat that is prone to inflation. Since I started investing on cryptocurrency, I didn't doubt it even the slightest. I know the risk very well, so I always don't expect that much especially if I'm investing on a certain altcoins. Bitcoin is my number 1 on the list, because of its volatility and it's so promising. We're in a bear market, and buying as much as we can is a very good move for long term investment.
1298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo Account, Should Not Be Related To A Real Account on: December 17, 2022, 01:22:37 PM
<...>
Now my question is
~why can't we relate demo accounts to real accounts
~why do you think people still start making losses on real accounts after long time trading demo successfully

Demo accounts are just for advertisement, to make you hook up for trading, to change your mindset about trading, because you will start to think that it is that easy. Demo accounts doesn't give you anything except for false hope, in my opinion, since losing a trade will never bother you because it's just a demo account. The real deal is the real account, real money, and real experience, that'll change everything, it'll will break your expectations therefore if you're not emotionally and mentally prepared, you'll definitely break and will gone berserk.

You'll start to deposit your money until you've got nothing left, you just care about getting back your losses, without enough knowledge to make that happen. That's the negative side effect of it.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: December 17, 2022, 11:18:30 AM
I advise you put reasonable capital on bitcoin and few funds in altcoin.
I advice you do not give investment advise to others. You can instead give them you technical or fundamental analysis and encourage them to their own research and decide whether or not to out money into an asset or not.

I agree.

Financial advices must have a solid proof of succeeding before you spread it to other, to do the same as you do, because if not, they will just blame you if their investment "failed", the worst case scenario is they are going to give you death threats because they think you're the one who stole their money using that investment. That's why I never tell people the entire story of how I am making money, I told them once in the past but they just told me they lose their money since the price of Bitcoin started to go down, etc.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education programs should cover Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. on: December 16, 2022, 03:59:49 PM
It's a good thing if they will do that in school, but I think it's hard to hire someone that is going to teach that in a school. A full cryptocurrency trader or hodler wouldn't bother teaching I guess unless the payment is good or he would do it voluntarily. The only problem here is that students might get addicted to cryptocurrency especially trading that could come up to a worst case scenario where they would steal their parents money just to risk it again after they lost everything in trading.
