301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 24, 2023, 04:19:27 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?

It is easier to gamble when you have extra cash. That way you are not rushing, you're not forcing, and you are not pressured to make money. you just simply enjoy the games available in the casino. That's also why rich are consistently winning most often. Because they play either in a way for their business or for their entertainment. They allowed money for it with sufficient or greater amounts to also diversify their money. However not many rich people would take the risk to put their money on casino unline to middle lower class who will deposit even their last dollar.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 24, 2023, 03:43:23 PM
Well, yeah, you can somehow compare Saylor with those sacred personalities, although I personally don't like the idea of such comparison. It might send a wrong message. There is already an existing tendency of some Bitcoin supporters to somehow treat Bitcoin as some sort of a religion or cult. Some avid advocates appear very close-minded because of it.

Also, adoption of Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic currency should come first or should have more weight than its adoption as a new class of asset or a new hedge against inflation or whatever.

I believe that is detrimental to anyone's mind to have this kind of cult thing. I mean, like any other currency, or asset classes, or stocks. BTC is just another tool for freedom. Nothing more. Do not fall to any religion into that. Do not praise to anything especially on material things. Yes Saylor could be that man who have now high influence on crypto space, but just like what I've said. Don't fall into believing that as long as Saylor is there, BTC will be alive. There is no religion in that. Don't be part of it. Detach yourself.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 22, 2023, 04:37:07 PM

So what do you guys think, let's share knowledge.
Personally I will not prefer such kind of signal groups as because most of them are scammer they just put fake old profit images and claim that they and all the premium group user won this but in reality thier is nothing, also they add High number of fake user and views to make his group look like geniuen, All of these fake things they do just to attract user and stole thier funds,
So the best things is to go out search by own and get much possible knowledge which will help you to do your own technical Analysis, if by chance you book some loses by your own TA then in a exchange it will provide you a lesson as well as experience,
In last you can join such free signal group to collect just knwoledge not more than this..

This is the general advice and is true. But if you find a person who can trust, not only by your relationship with the person but also have the track record to trade well and share signals. Then take advantage of it. use its signals because you're lucky to have that opportunity. Some ask charge for it and some give free trials for a month. Test it out and see for yourself if what he is doing is working.

The most important thing is don't become too reliant on signals. Use the data as frame of reference to study and learn for your own how to read price chart and speculate future prices.
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price action on: July 22, 2023, 04:21:59 PM
There was a site that gave statistics such as which cryptocurrencies and stocks have risen and fallen the most in the last 5, 15, 30 minutes, etc.
Does anyone know the name of that site? I don't remember the name.

https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/
coingecko.com
tradingview.com

would be helpful links for you. Just take note of the timeframe you are looking at relevant to the type of trading you are dealing with. Understand that 15 minutes and hourly fluctuation in price wouldn't give you necessary information if you're doing position trading. Same with scalping, 1mn,3mns, and 5mns change in price would be beneficial to you.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 22, 2023, 04:06:29 PM

We have to control our kids in a good way, not because we are strict but because we are very concerned about what they are doing as well. Because with their young age, they need guidance and we guide them in the right path. Allowing them what they wanted is just we are giving them a chance to fall in the wrong direction and later on we regrets it. For me, it was not a good idea from letting them to gamble because it means that we are giving them a chance to become addicted too early and the impact for it is bad for their mindset.

Well, it's good to train a child in such a way that if they are old, they will always remember the good teachings and have good moral behaviour. But sometimes you can still train some kids with good morals, but due to peer pressure, the influence of friends, and the kind of environment they find themselves in, will determine how they behave, and again, no matter how old a kid is, as long as they are no longer infants, that means they can differentiate between what's right (good) and what's not right (bad). At such times, they can give themselves good advice, which really counts compared to advice from their guidance. Remember that kids do have their decisions too; once they decide never to do something, no matter how hard you try to talk them into it, they will not agree to whatever you say. So, sometimes it's not just from upbringing or parenting.

but educating the young is just one of the many aspects to consider. I believe 18 years of old for a person would be viable. At that age, most teens are already mature enough to think. They can access IDs for KYC, credits, and debits. Legally, they are expected to be a responsible contributor to the society. So when they do things that are unruly to the law, then they are accountable to it because they are no longer a minor.

This will benefit both the participants and the business owners of the casino for a major loss.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 22, 2023, 03:51:37 PM
<snip>
It depends on the bug. If you are not aware of it, it should be forgiven. But if it was a proven exploitation, then your account would be justified in being punished. Generally, if you know of some crucial bug, do not try to make use of it; eventually, you'll be punished for taking advantage of it. Be fair.

Haha as simple as it is. There's a quote that goes "You never break the rules, you only break yourself to abide the rules." So when you do things that you know is wrong, you're breaking your own self and virtue. Not only that you will pay legally for the damage and cheating that you cause, you're doing the wrong thing.

Also when you are caught, regardless if you're aware of it or not you will still pay for it. So be a wise gambler.

307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hacksaw gaming slot game experience on: July 22, 2023, 03:42:40 PM
The only game that I love to play from Hacksaw Gaming is Wanted Dead or a Wild.

But just like the rest of the games, it's based on RTP so I will say that my experience is so-so. Sometimes i will have like less than 20 spins and I will get the bonus. And then days that are totally lost all my capital winning hitting the bonus or even getting a good pay/multiplier.

And perhaps it might have been discussed here by a thread by @mu_enrico Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll).

Yes and it's crazy like the provider would make you win but just for a minimum amount but will not mitigate the losses. They will make you experience win but too little of chance. When there's a bonus spin it was actually like coded not to give you something haha. Idk maybe I'm just unlucky too  but my experience with H.Saw Gaming compare to other casino is just abit off for me.
308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 21, 2023, 10:08:03 AM
all these are valid points to guide a beginner in trading, but the most important of all is having primary knowledge about trading, which is your first point. some newbies to trading do have some kind of thoughts about trading as something that can save them from poverty, and the only reason they could have such thoughts is when they don't really have good knowledge about trading. for someone who has no better knowledge about trading, they cannot even think of how to work on develop their own strategy; some of them will only rely mostly on copy trading, which is not a very good way of trading.

Also never forget to always set realistic expectations. Most of the time, beginner traders are great traders, they are good analysts who can predict prices accurately. However, they couldn't push a button smoothly. They messed up on their own psychology. It's already got into their TP but they don't take profit. Why is that? The answer is simple. They don't know yet what to expect, what to see, and what to experience.

The best tool to overcome that is to have a journal. Take not of how they feel greed and fear, then how they overcome it. Overcome they will build that real skill. Because trading strategy is the easiest. It's the psychology that is the most important.
309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. on: July 21, 2023, 10:00:57 AM
Or worse — sometimes we have users with zero merits trying to teach people how to make quality posts and how to earn merits the right way. Like, lmao. Every time I see those kinds of posts this is the thing that always comes to my mind:

This is a harsh reality and too hard to swallow. I feel attacked though haha. It made me feel like I'm still an amateur or a mere beginner who has lots of things to learn. Need more experience. I know I can do better. Do more research, interact more, and participate as much as I can.
310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which will be best non-KYC exchanger after Ku-coin? on: July 21, 2023, 09:56:32 AM
As we all users of kucoin have knows the news of Ku-coin putting the KYC verifications mandatory for all users on 15 july 2023.
Ku coin was one of my favourite reliable exchanger specially for the non kyc system. But now they are also putting kyc mandatory ,
So I need some suggestions Which can be a reliable non kyc exchanger like kucoin?

Just comply with the requirements pal. You just need to submit necessary papers and ID's for you to be able to trade again and if you contact them on their customer service they usually give you considerations for your unique case. Kucoin is a great exchange because newly launched coins are often tradeable in it. The platform backing it with KYC will just strengthen its security so there is nothing bad about it but only up.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 21, 2023, 09:42:01 AM
The topic has said everything so I want to know the different opinions from forum users. I have done the physical interview with some people and I have seen the different mindsets of people for seen money on the floor or somewhere in their working places.
There was a story in my locality this week. A woman who is working in a hotel, found $70,000 in hotel room she working and with her good heart, she returns the money to the customer. Now the question other people asked was if the didn't know the person what she would have done?

If you were in the woman's shoe, what would you do? Or if you see such amount as bitcoin in your working place with the seed phrase in aseed plate, what will you do? And probably you know the person and there is no way to locate the person. But if I am the one, I will also do the same as the woman and if I don't know the person and I can't locate the person, I will take to the nearest Radio or Television Stations for Broadcasting, or if any of the above can not be found in the locality then I will handover them to the police.
Good Name is Better Than Silver and Gold

I love my Name to be good

When you got into this kind of situation, I'm pretty sure that experience will leave a battleground on one's mind. Like a battle of doing what is morally right or doing what is practically best for your situation.
If I keep it for my own good, well that's a lot of money is it? I can buy almost whatever I want. But my conscience will haunt me for a lifetime. Trying my best to give it back to the original owner may sound stupid but it is the best and morally right thing to do.

I think the thing here is unless the original owner cannot be found, then you can have it to be yours.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 21, 2023, 09:13:40 AM
In the realm of entrepreneurship, women are rewriting the rules and defying expectations, propelling themselves to unparalleled levels of triumph. By dismantling gender biases and embracing their entrepreneurial prowess, women entrepreneurs are leaving an indelible mark on the business landscape. With an unwavering determination, resilience, and unwavering vision, they are not just narrowing the gap but propelling themselves to new horizons of achievement and excellence. Get ready to witness the unstoppable rise of women in entrepreneurship, as they reshape industries, inspire generations, and conquer the world of business with unparalleled flair and finesse.

If there are not enough insane men to be great enough in capitalism, business, and entrepreneurship then obviously women will fill up those positions. Though gender is not a denominator for a success of a company there are already facts from those studies and related research on it.

Men are men and women are women. The country, government, cultures, policies and all those things.
The reason why the results is the way it is may be because of the country it was carried in.
Anyways, not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. And I don't think there is  or should be competition between male and female entrepreneurs. We should only find ways to fund women's businesses and get them out there. Give them visibility.

But agree it or not, the financial system and businesses are dominated by men. Those policies and the culture are often favorable to men. Competition is real. Not only to gender but also in other aspect of demographic profile of every business owners.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: July 20, 2023, 03:14:37 PM
In short you're just telling to people: inflation in fiat will make your fiat worthless, invest in precious metal or Bitcoin.

Well almost everyone already aware and know that, but they're just feel more comfortable to hold fiat in banks rather than precious metal or Bitcoin. This because they think precious metal and Bitcoin has a volatility that would make their investment value decrease. They're just scared, but we can't do anything since it's their choice. At least I'm the one who hold most of my money in Bitcoin rather than fiat and precious metal.

I agree. As much as we want to teach them about Bitcoin for them to save more money during inflation, we can't force people to trust a system they are not familiar with for their hard earned money. They may understand what we are pointing at but to some of them being more comfortable with a system they are familiar with is more important than diving in to a new system where they are asked to risk the money they worked hard to gain.

Which means be careful of what philosophy you are submitting to. Do you want to live a life full of wealth or riches? Just a normal life? A beach provincial life? Simples form of life? You have to choose your own system and then do your best to educate yourself. It could be in terms of financial systems, real states, or business. Do things that will sustain the life that you want for yourself.

The thing is, you have to work for something you want for yourself. If you wan to beat inflation, then find a way to invest on something that appreciates its value in the long term basis. So that when the time comes, your initial investment on those assets will 2x, 10x, comparing it if you just save it on your bank account.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 20, 2023, 03:07:36 PM
Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People

It's simply how they cope. Discrimination is true not only in gender but by different means. It could be by race, color, or social status. It is sad that it almost become normal as society tolerates those things. That is why being in an online server could be an advantage for some because you can have the option not to tell more about yourself. Even if it gone through verification or KYC those discrimination lessens because it just happened online.

Participants are not judged and treated differently directly. So no hard feelings for them. Through online you can even use different names or identity in which where most gambling platforms having difficulty with.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 20, 2023, 03:00:33 PM

anyone deposited very less amount and luckily won a big jackpot like a 100x or 500x or 1000x of base bet and withdrawn without kyc or without facing any problem from the platform?

if yes, how much was that amount? and what was the exchange?

i seen many people complaining about they don't give big wins easily or just don't give by making unanswerable queries like very hard KYC, freezing accounts, etc. this problem is very common with trusted casino's also/

do anyone withdrawn successfully the winning amount and if yes what was the process, it was seamless or you need to pass a hard kyc?

This sound interesting, but so far on this forum and base on my own experience I haven't encountered one yet. But I think if it is a very big amount of money, online casinos won't allow to withdraw money from anonymous participant. That is why the best thing they do is to require KYC to users. For most this is negative because they cannot provide necessary proof such as ID's and paper of residency. But this thing only gives security both to the player and the casino. Who knows maybe that account just got hacked or cheated. We don't know. That is why this thread will be amazing for shared experiences.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 20, 2023, 02:53:02 PM
There's a popular  remark among gamblers in the part of  my country I reside. The saying is expressed like this "if you quit that's when you lose".  They use this statement to encourage and give futuristic hope to themselves that no matter how much they loss today or how many wagers they have lost they don't need to quit as it's possible you may be the next jackpot winner tomorrow. For it's like say don't quit yet there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

From what I observed from this statement is that, many of these gamblers have been misled by this very remark of a hypothetical hope which has liquidated their account.  While some who would have quit gambling long ago still hedge their hope on the idea behind the statement and keeps wagering.

Now let's take this to a discuss; how correct is this statement? And is there any similar statement like that in your home-country that's popularly used among gamblers to encourage themselves from quiting gambling because they're losing?
Or would you allow your decision to quit gambling to be affected by any popular statement among your fellow gamblers or it's a no no thing for you?

I agree with that quote "if you quit that's when you lose" but in a different light. I see it like in a way of mastery. Like those legend poker players. Until they fully grasp their strategy, they don't quit. The persistently and consistently challenging themselves to be the best poker player. Contrast to OP's idea which only bases on luck, if you just show up today and not tomorrow, only bet when you feel like it then you won't get the mastery.

It's not that one big win that is you are waiting for. It is the mastery of your own game. So when you quit, that's when you lose.
317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MT4 lots and leverage on: July 19, 2023, 04:53:49 PM
OK I was looking at other brokers and trading platforms recently and noticed most use MT4
I signed up for demo account with one downloaded MT4 to my desktop and put on my first trade btc/usd.

I lost but thats not the issue - I am trying to figure out how lots and leverage work with it
In binance its easy select -coin - select leverage select how much of balance you want to use.
With MT4 I need to select volume with I believe is lots. But what is a lot in btc or crypto and how do i set leverage.

I place da short trade btc/usd at 1 volume. Lets just say to trade was a mess

If I have a balance of $2000 and want to trade it all on btc/usd with a 10x leverage how do I do that

Thanks

You can use EAs in MT4. So instead of manualy computing for your lot size, you can use this easier. It is depending on the perentage you are risking and is free.
It is very useful for me and I think it will benefit other traders too.
Here is the link and it is free: Lot by Risk https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/56019?source=External

I beleive you can also see tutorials on it even on YT. Good luck and good trading pal.
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 19, 2023, 04:47:50 PM
As an investor on bitcoin,I know that most people invested to make profit by buying their bitcoin and try their possible best to hold on to their bitcoin till the next bull run, which will be a perfect time to sell and make profit. My question goes like this
1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
Let's discuss.

This is what you call a strategy. You only not focusing on what area you are going to buy but also analyzing when and where you are going to take out your position. Taking profit for me is does not depends on the price level of Suport and Resistance on BTC. I only take profit base on my initial investment's risk reward ratio. Once my PnL reach 2:1 on my profit side, I'll take out my money. That's only what I need base on my strategy. I don't mind if it creates an all time high or not, or maybe go pass beyond my target limit. what is important to me is I made money 2x.

Knowing enough is enough is a skill. Or you'll get greedy and lose all your profits.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 19, 2023, 04:42:56 PM
As a gambler,I know that we have done so many mistakes in the pass base on our bets and wrong strategy or calculations that we have done which led to losing the game that was suppose to make you win big. I want to use myself as an example,I love sportbet and I bet more on it. Last months I placed my bet on 7 games that was to be played for two days. When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.

For me, I missed big wins when I listen to others as opposed to sticking to my own intuition. And by the time the game goes on, my first guess was right but my bet turns out a loss. Instead of making money, I lost some. It's the worst thing that has happened in my gambling history.

It's also one of my challenges now. It is to stick to my own analysis and get into my own prediction. Because if I am going to lose, at least it will be my own. So it will be my own winning and my own loss. Only I am accountable of my own gambling experience.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 19, 2023, 04:11:00 PM
Gambling is a game that has an addictive effect. Most people who have joined gambling sites will find it difficult to get out of the gambling circle. It doesn't matter how much you lose at gambling, as long as we still have money, we will continue to gamble

Can you share your first experience playing gambling? and who told you about gambling sites?

I myself know gambling sites from my own friends. I idly and try to deposit. Starting from playing with a little money, after a while I didn't know how much money I had spent playing gambling

My first gamble was on a horse track. Not ideally in the casino but it's the same thing, right? For me, it's that first win that makes it addictive. That chasing the win despite losing many times. But luckily I stopped gambling then so I also disciplined myself not to lose more money. Fast forward, I was only introduced to online casinos by this bitcoin talk. Banners and Avatars when you clicked it, most of the time it will lead you to their website. So I get to participate in those for the sake of satisfying my curiosity.

Mine was actually cool and I won on virtuals on my first attempt to play... let's draw the clock to the times I was enclosed in a brick house....I actually ran in for a gambler though, and It came right through.
Thereafter, I began to try some brilliant combos on my own funds when I really had free space,.. I've not really had a bad one but though, buh I've been in situations where peeps be begging for cash to pay Thier way home after squandering all they had on them...that alone thought me alot. I also paid severally for damages when a customer was found not capable of paying for his debts.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

Mine was a total disaster lost $50 on the first day while playing dice. You might be one of those lucky won who won the first day. After my intial loss it took me sometime to realize that I suck in luck base gambling. I then shifted to sports betting, it was not that easy at first but gradually it is working fine for me as of now. I still stay away from gambling that is completely luck based.

I guess we all have this kind of experience. FUnny that we got the win the first time then lose all those winnings all the way haha.
