1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 And High Transaction Fees.. on: October 10, 2020, 07:45:40 PM
If the gas price is not reduce after starting ETH 2.0. People will seek for another blockchain.
I agree,, people will look for another affordable blockchain rather than eth for sending funds, however if people does that it will start to generate lesser fees due to less activity  Cheesy Besides, I doubt that the ETH  v.20 isn't a real upgrade, Vitalik talks about it as faster ETH network so we will experience a low transaction fees.

This cause the user of ether will decrease. One day ether will lose their user.
Ethereum has a brighter future to be adopted than bitcoin, due to smart contracts, it really is.
1302  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 10, 2020, 07:15:14 PM
I am not sure if it ended, I really hope it ends very soon and I do not want to see it continue forever but I am not sure it is there yet. We need to talk about how defi is not what people think it is a lot more in order to make people realize that they are investing for the wrong reasons, we haven't done that yet.
It's not dead I can tell, in fact twitter is full of DeFi project promotions, there are new defi projects announced their starting date this year. Why you're hoping to end it? lol it gives the crypto market massive movement making it to appear in mainstream media, the only thing I hate about this is that they congested a single network ( ETH ) and generating high fees for the past months. I remember sending $2 in ETH and paying $3.23 fees for it *facepalm*
1303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin SCAM on youtube right NOW! on: October 10, 2020, 06:24:06 PM
AFAIK in the past there's channel named "Live News" too promoting scam, but the subscriber is 1.8 million while this channel only have 196K. I've already reported the channel and I hope you doing same.
Famous youtubers in my country got hacked by "Live News" too displaying crypto related contents. People should be wary about this one, this has been rolling for a very long time now and still people are giving cents about it. If you guys see any channel name "Live News" make a personal verification on it to youtube, you can easily distinguish it with your subscription, if it turns out a scam channel just give it a report.

1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is rising suddenly ? on: October 10, 2020, 05:54:53 PM
Just wanna point out the way you describe it as 'suddenly', it's not all of a sudden that the price of bitcoin rises, it happens every time when people are buying it. The thing is maybe you're not just monitoring it coz it's been stuck in $10,000 for quite some time but it's no the first time that bitcoin did it. My opinion to this rise is because of FOMO of corporate companies out there, they started accumulating bitcoin now  Grin
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 09, 2020, 08:13:07 PM
It cannot be argued that 2017 has become the "golden year of cryptocurrency" as we are in the very early years of cryptocurrency development.
I was born in this forum in that year, who would have not found this bitcoin forum after inputting bitcoin in google search bar lol Golden year of cryptocurrencies at the time, bitcoin was being recognized by many people even getting in mainstream media. But that was just golden, I'm waiting for the diamond one  Grin

I think there will be many surprises in the future that will lead to the emergence of new altcoins that will attract attention.
Surprises like what? that Satoshi is Craig Wright? and Vitalik is just a clone? just kidding. I can't say now what will altcoins do in the future, all I see is pump and dump, then die.   Roll Eyes
1306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does having a lot of investing money make trading for a living much easier? on: October 09, 2020, 07:53:23 PM
I never done trading so curious on this.  Also don't have the money to trade as it would be for small amounts so I don't think I could make much.  Is that true or false?
It's hard for a low starter to make much lol you need a lot of analysis to pull that of perfectly, but I think you could make a fair profits out of it, also depends on how small the amount it is, we have different views on that one. The question isn't true or false, it's non binary actually.

You need a lot of money to start if you want to make enough trading for a living right?
Advisable in trading yes, there's this benefit that you could easily regain your losses when you have a huge load of money. But I disagree, your initial amount in trading does not matter as long as you know how to handle it, it is just your expectation that fails you in the long run.
1307  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 09, 2020, 07:20:26 PM
I know the only thing that will help me survive this crisis is cryptocurrency that is why I am active here again because fiat had failed me.
No offense but I barely agree with you. In this case, fiat doesn't failed you, the root of your problem is the pandemic which came from the corona virus. So the should be the one you are blaming not your work or even fiat which are only used as a mean of exchange. Anyway, I feel sorry for your loss dude, good thing you got crypto. I hope it will ease your suffering in this hard times somehow.
The fiat has failed you and so cryptocurrency will smacked the hell out of you man. It's like your giving your life to crypto after the reality hits you hard without realizing that the thing that failed you is the thing that gives value to bitcoin and whole cryptocurrency. There is a lot of opportunities in crypto, we already know this but risking it by this way makes me think you're a wishful thinker.

In your own experiences and opinion which of the two will win?
I don't know because until now I don't have a job lol. It seems like I graduated for nothing, it is so frustrating that I can't apply everything I've learned until now Grin. But kidding aside, there's no point of comparing those two. They are both helpful in their own ways.
I'm calling decentralized assets all the way! people will surely pick what they can control over having third parties  Cheesy
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 09, 2020, 06:35:32 PM
It was a dumb thing to ask if the sites have the license or don't have but as we are wanted to play safe, I think it was a good practice to consider before playing with their site, or even on any offline casinos.
How is asking can make you dumb? it does makes sense coz you want to know if they are operating by the book with respect to their country's laws. Although license is never a factor for me to play on gambling sites, some people want their playing ground to be licensed, to feel less anxious and of course the comfortability that it gives.

And I don't think also that gambling sites will prohibit us to know that as it was our right to ask them. If they can show nothing then that was difficult but if they can, the more it attracts players.
Gambling platform licensing always depends on the country they are based in, it's fine if they don't need.
1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: October 09, 2020, 05:55:53 PM
"Approved bitcoin?"

You're speaking as if bitcoin wasn't use in illegal transactions online, but that's not the main point of mine why it hasn't been widely accepted worldwide. For a simple fact that Bitcoin is decentralized and governments are centralized, that fact alone should answer the question why most of the government all over the world is cautious with bitcoin. I'd rather choose people empowering bitcoin than governments lol.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 08, 2020, 07:47:55 PM
I can see now that this playoffs will be for Lakers but do you think is there a chance for the Miami Heat to catch up?
Lebron with Anthony Davis is just too much for Butler and Herro, I've got too much respect to butler since when he joined the timberwolves. Chances of Miami Heat to catch up is slim, as far as I know only Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 was the only team to get up from 3-1 deficit in NBA finals. Perhaps the history will repeat itself against the one who made it before  Roll Eyes

It seems one of their players are injured is there at least a chance to win against Lakers?
I don't really think so, they got a bunch of players to substitute with.
1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Square & Twitter's Boss, Jack Dorsey buys $50M worth of Bitcoin. on: October 08, 2020, 07:05:37 PM
I doubt they only do this now, of course these tech related companies knows what is in the air, strategies are being studied to deal with new things like bitcoin. I do really believe that people like Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey and other wealthy people invested pretty decent amount of money in bitcoin, even Craig Wright lol what's frightening about this is that they might have huge impacts in the market once they accumulate more than 10% of total bitcoin.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite gamemodes on: October 07, 2020, 07:22:23 PM
I actually never feel roulette as a fun game because I heard live dealers use magnets to bring a particular number and make gamblers loose and there are times when dealers are caught cheating in the cards game so I actually prefer to play fair games and also they come at a lower house edge.

Actually that cheat isn't present now, at least at most of the online casinos today especially on regulated ones.

That cheat is popular way back before at those random casinos who aren't following the fair system.
Fortunately, I wasn't able to play with bogus online casino, never heard of them using magnets to manipulate the roulette maybe it works in live one but it won't in computer generated roulettes unless there are some anomalies in the codes. This is why in choosing a casino to play on, we should always look after its reputation not just because it offers a huge welcome bonus or anything that is shallow.

You can bet that there are not many cheats today playing at those live dealers if you choose to play on reputable and popular gambling sites.
If you want to search for reputable casinos, there are various threads that talked about it.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 07, 2020, 06:33:28 PM
"Faster and easier", "daily transaction"

Avoiding and not choosing is bitcoin is different, it may seem that bitcoin is fast and easy to use but it's only on the internet, when you get to buy goods or services physically it is convenient to pay in cash. It's faster compared to wired transaction. Digital banking now are faster and easier than ever, this might be the greatest hit against bitcoin. People don't stop themselves from using bitcoin, they are just not choosing the way it is now.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 06, 2020, 07:55:57 PM
There's this comfortable feeling when you're playing in a licensed casino for example, you're not anxious even if you put a decent amount of money there and sleep for a day. This is why I prefer playing licensed ones than just only reputable ones, there's this huge different between these two. Running by the book will never get any wrong, but also everyone should not ignore the terms and conditions that may apply, it is very important to read and know.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yeees it's happening on: October 06, 2020, 07:17:04 PM
I think you should try it, so you can tell us how it feels.
Would really love too especially now that it hasn't gone mainstream yet.

That will be great news for people around your city because they will see the BTC logo and the word "Bitcoin" in that local store. I hope that it can attract many people to have a curiosity to know more about bitcoin, and maybe you can talk with the owner of that local store.
Well it will literally make people attract to it, new things comes with curiosity for anyone so they will definitely give it a google search and will find tons of information about it, and when they see they can make profit out of it their eyes will make this money eyes emoji lol.

You can share info or discuss other things related to bitcoin and another crypto, so the owner can try to integrate with the other coin. I don't know about the adoption process in your city, but I hope that after this, bitcoin can grow in your country, and hopefully, more people will have an interest and will use bitcoin.
I don't really know where it is, but I think it is somewhere in Europe. Hopefully people will come to try it, a single experience would make them believe that everything they see on the news is different.
1316  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people claim cryptocurrencies aren’t an asset? on: October 05, 2020, 07:31:34 PM
It is all because of the governments that framework the law, and based on that people are informed that cryptocurrencies weren't an asset.
Indeed, and because government is literally backed up with gold they want no competition with the  precious gold being an asset for ages. Cryptocurrencies on other hand is clearly misunderstood by many which made it very, very popular by now. Imagine naming it with 'currencies' and they made it as their asset lol

Very few countries like Japan, Australia have legalized it as a currency, but most of the countries state it something similar to the stocks. It can't be considered as a legal tender/valuable asset which can be used in exchange of services.
Well, I believe most of the countries are not against with it, most of them are just giving fair warnings about its volatility preventing people to lose their hard earned money, it's all about the concern anyway.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: October 05, 2020, 05:47:40 PM
It's not advisable to bet big amounts if you don't have enough confidence on the match that you are going to place bets.
Yup, in short bet amounts should also be in line with the game, you would not put a hundred in there coz you just feel it. Result confidence should be the background of your bet.

Betting small amounts is a betting management strategy where you are less confidence for your your prediction regarding the game's outcome, it's safer than betting higher bets given that your not that sure yourself.
Small bets is a strategy yes, but if you keep playing with small amounts you'll get no win most of the time, this is why some people are taking risk to bet in huge amount.

In my experience, most of the time, I will place larger bets if I have enough knowledge on the opposing teams as I have been watching them overtime, how much they've grown and their potentials.
I trust my instinct whenever I'm playing especially when playing dice though it is just a game of fortune but yeah, if the results are in 3 consecutives let's say high, I'd put so much the next draw in low with a high bet  Grin
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yeees it's happening on: October 05, 2020, 05:04:55 PM
Using a bitcoin ATM is pretty simple but you need to wait a while for confirmations. It’s great if you can find a non-KYC one so you can sell & avoid taxes but i prefer to sell on exchanges.
KYC and non-KYC atm is what I want to know more about, why there are atms that isn't conducting any KYC and why there are atms that has KYC procedure. Have not used a single btc atm yet, I think it is more difficult than a normal one. What about the traffic from blockchain? how about the receipt of transaction. I really want to try it so badly.

Mainstream adoption is coming but it will take a while.
It's already happening, maybe 2 to 3 years from now this will not be new to us, we'll see a line of people buying and selling bitcoins to atms.
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Yeees it's happening on: October 05, 2020, 02:14:16 PM
Do you think that the adoption is really happening? I've seen this picture, a convenience store literally selling bitcoin through an ATM, I know it isn't new at all but this proves the actuality of innovation, something that we are dreaming of since we knew bitcoin. Hail the King! I still haven't tried it yet, I'm still wondering how complex it is.

1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 03, 2020, 08:50:48 PM
If you know a lot about sports, then you must know how players get too physical or soft, can't even blame the ref for calling fouls due to a flop that's not even a reason to call the whole league a rigged or whatever negative that describes it in general. We can't control what will happen in the next 5 seconds in the court, you can't tell refs who to watch with, and the whole system was just made by a man. I don't really think that the biggest basketball league will sell their reputation. Not really.
