It seems we all want to use our credits. Canary is there anyway I can buy my own 100 and send them immediately to you as if I bought them from you then go from there?
Ps. We have no idea how much more for assembly right? Pps. I cant afford 100 chips, im will to split 50 50 with someone. You get my 42 chip discount. But you must pay up front. This is void if canary doesn't like this at all.
If you buy your own, you can then assemble them on your own or have them sent to assemblers. my group buy does not utilize credits offered by purchasers. I already purchased 3500 credits and intend to use them. there are other group buys that should allow you to use your credits, check out their pricing.

Read post #1 & #2...Not sure if I'm reading it right but seems like you're getting a designer to create a board for these BFL chips?
So GB is for chips but there's a potential of a working board for these chips.
And you suggest 8-16 chips because that's what the board will req.?
Yes, there are hardware guys working on BFL boards. not all are doing it because of me, I'm not so special! LOL, there are lots of independent folks who are working on them. 8-16 suggestion is based on what BFL has produced with their own boards... but I'm guessing PCBs that accept 1 chip may be produced as well.

Sorry newb here but these chips are useless unless you have a board design for them?
no problem that you're a newb, but I'd like to invite you to read the post, at least #1 and #2. there are other threads that have your answers. Welcome to bitcointalk!

All the Bitcoin/PayPal orders that have not been paid fully will be cancelled today. We have been misquoted, that we will wait 6-7 days. We will wait for 2-3 days for the orders marked as "Bank Transfers", for the transfers to come in.
We still need to know where 'in line' we are. I ordered within the first 20 min and made payment at the same time. If someone that just threw in 20 DX-Large and made a request for bank transfer so that he can sell his 'early orders' eats up all the first 10k avalon chips ahead of me I am certainly not interested in keeping my order. Sorry, but I think a lot of people feel the same way. The largest order we have is 2 DX Larges. We will send an email day after tomorrow to everyone know where they stand. terrahash, if there's something the bitcointalk community can do to help you guys, please let us know... we all want this to go as smooth as possible.

watching/waiting for price reduction....
for best possible price, you should utilize group buys. (I run them also) for something that is ready to ship now, you can buy now without waiting. In a group buy, how long is the waiting period usually? I would allocate a week (just being concervative, usually it's 4-5 days) after a group buy closes. there are no group buys at the moment and I won't be running one for a while... I believe friedcat (manufacturer) is out of inventory.

why don't we just ask BFL about who produced boards for them? that place can easily produce them again since they've done it already, no?
Is the firware or when there is a FPGA the FPGA object file available from BFL? Otherwise you end up with just the bare metal and not a functional miner. intron https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=235312.0

someone is obviously lying because if there is 500+50 new gigahash in the network why the difficult trend is to go down at the moment?
people turning off GPUs?

500 GH/s? I will be seriously impressed with BFL if/when they are actually able to start shipping these bastards. Anyone selling in hand units? I'll pay 10% over your pre-order price. no one is gonna sell you theirs... so make one, get involved: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237710.0

I already have 96 chip credits myself - so how would this group buy work for me?
this group would not be using your credits. you can buy chips on this group at .6 btc per chip Ahhh ok. That's why you were trying to buy all those credits for $2 - so then you can sell the chips for .6BTC (~$63) - so you make about $11 per chip. So for every group buy of 100 chips, you make about $1000. Smart move. and i'm spending money on paying for test boards when they can be had, time to get quotes, meetings, travel ($$$), giving chips to designers if I can... etc... I bought credits at market rates. started at $10 per credit all the way down to $1.
