401  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet 2FA issue on: February 27, 2018, 08:26:32 AM
Hi all,

Happy to be here and hope to be seeing and contributing good information.

I'm not yet at the point of posting this in the "scams & accusations" but would certainly appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.

I signed up for 2 different Freewallet accounts (NEM & Bytecoin) and activated 2FA for each only to find out later that apparently Freewallet issues one code for all accounts (though nothing prevented me from requesting the 2nd code and submitting it to google authenticator).  Within a few weeks I realized that the Freewallet apps were not recognizing/accepting either of the codes generated by google authenticator.  After several days of prompt email communications with Freewallet support (where it was also suggested that I switch to a different authenticator, which I could not do since 2FA was already activated but would not recognize codes), my own conclusion was that the issue was caused by the existence of 2 2FA codes instead of just one.   Nothing else was explaining the situation and I could not send funds or deactivate/change my 2FA settings.  After suggesting this and requesting that Freewallet do what they need to do (as far as identifying me) in order to deactivate 2FA on my accounts, they agreed and sent me a list of security questions which I answered.  On Jan.28 I was finally told that I'd be notified once 2FA was deactivated on my accounts but nothing yet and my follow up emails are not being answered either.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Payman

First of all, thanks to TryNinja for sending me a link to this topic!

Payman, there's a difference between having several accounts with Freewallet and several wallets. You create an account via a chosen authorization method: with the email & password, your phone number, Facebook or Google+ profile. And within this account, you can have wallets for different cryptocurrencies. In other words, if you have NEM and BCN wallets, but you're logging in the same way on both, you have 2 wallets on one account.

There can be several reasons why your 2FA codes generated in Google Authenticator keep showing up as invalid. The most common are 2:

- The timezone on your device is wrong and/or your device time isn't synced with the Google server.
- 2FA issues are known to come up specifically on Android 4.4.2 KitKat devices.

You can tune up the time on your device and in Google Authenticator app manually, or switch to a different Android version. There's a more convenient solution though: we recommend using a different authenticator app, FreeOTP Authenticator by Red Hat.

However, if you've already submitted a request to turn off 2FA for your account, we should be able to do it upon reviewing the information we requested to verify that it's really you, the account owner. If you provide your support ticket number, I can check up on the status of it and get back to you.

You are the greatest liar and a fraud at the same time.
You said you will release the ignis 2 weeks ago.
XmasJohn08, our initial estimation of the time frame to release IGNIS was inaccurate, that's true. However, it doesn't mean we gave up on the idea to present IGNIS to Freewallet users and distribute the free tokens from the airdrop. If I tell you that it's been our top priority for a while, you might be skeptical, so just wait until you see the release with your own eyes.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Freewallet Supports IGNIS Airdrop on: February 26, 2018, 03:26:58 PM
Is it possible that they stolen also the ignis airdrop tokens.

We are all waiting for them since the beginnig of January. No news, no tokens, nothing.
That version doesn't make much sense. Since we made a public promise to deliver IGNIS backed up by official Jelurida's listing, we will fulfill the promise made. Unfortunately, the initial ETA turned to be inaccurate, which is why we're concentrated on facts (such as finalizing the IGNIS release) rather than announcements.

None of the links you posted has any proof of scam accusations; moreover, if you actually read them, you will discover that we help resolve the issues our users had.

Biggest scammers!

I will kill mother fucker Alvin hagg and Bang his sister Hanna Hagg for the money you guys scammed me ,

where is my money , now its been 60da7s accodring to your fuckin 60days refund timeline,

and you guys deleted my ios reviews , but u cant acctually delete everything assholes.

And a good day to you too, Ravi. Did it ever occur to you that your reviews were deleted by AppStore team because they contained pretty much the same threats and profanities? Developers can't delete user reviews: we can report them though, and we did. As for your refund, our support team has already informed you that it's being worked on, and your approach won't speed up the refund process, neither it will actually make other people sympathize.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT - Ignis airdrop on Freewallet on: February 26, 2018, 03:12:52 PM
What's new from the developers? Do we have any predictions about when tokens will be available?

I doubt any predictions will make our users happier than the actual IGNIS release, which we're currently working on.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT - Ignis airdrop on Freewallet on: February 23, 2018, 08:31:25 AM
Yes, you were officially listed and that's why I decided to trust you with my NXT coins.

I never imagined it would take so long to have my tokens available. Ignis has meanwhile lost 90% of its value. Who will give me back that money?

Some might even think that YOU sold the tokens in January, and that the wallet will only be available when you buy them back at a much lower price.

Not me, of course, I am convinced of your good faith.

I would just be curious to see the address where those tokens are kept, all our tokens waiting to be distributed on our wallets, and verify that they are still there without ever having moved

Tripitaka, wow, that's some elaborate plan. However, we're wallet developers, not traders: our team is concentrated on enhancing our apps, and there's simply no time for any side missions.

Every coin has their ups and downs, IGNIS is no exception. The coin value depends on many factors, and there was no promise of a certain price of IGNIS to Freewallet users: that's not possible as the market sets the rates, not Freewallet. IGNIS wasn't too fast to make appearance on different platforms, but it comes to Freewallet eventually.

Hi Freewallet,

As far as I know, your team is EXTREMELY ACTIVE in responding people's complaints to show that you are really care of your customers; however, there is NOT real outcome. If you could atleast improve the service your could have saved time and earned reputation, resulting to far more benefits rather than CHEATING people like this.

Hi sebolcat, sad that you think so. Our team gets hundreds of support tickets every day, lots of which are resolved daily. We understand your disappointment though, and can only hope you'll change your mind when STEEM is back.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HELP to retrieve 790 STEEM from FREEWALLET on: February 22, 2018, 09:52:40 AM
I have the same problem , I bought power ledger tokens in ICO before 5 months . didnt get them yet. LOOK:

here is my ethereum address with my POWER tokens on the freewallet:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xf07b525596383d85bb0e1e800ac290f703bc5bd5

This is tx hash of the transaction: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x5779a20fbb725fef3318049e95d3c30aabde5b2e91bb8de8feb9bb26885d0ae6 when POWER was transferred to my ethereum address on freewallet.

They have now new address with POWR tokens but they dont want to transfer.

matann3333, you transferred your POWR tokens before the support for them has been enabled. What matters is when you submitted your support request, not how many times you wrote about your issue. There are dozens of ICOs coming up every month, and although we inform our users about the limited amount of tokens we currently support, many people participate in token sales anyway. That's why there are a lot of requests to add this or that token, which are completed in the order they were received. Apologies for the delay!
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HELP to retrieve 790 STEEM from FREEWALLET on: February 19, 2018, 04:37:25 PM
sebolcat, when the network is unstable, we're usually performing maintenance and suspend user operations on the wallet to avoid any transaction issues. Steem is known for instabilities: last year there were lots of network issues as well, which resulted in extended maintenance periods. However, we were able to resume operations with Steem every time: this one won't be an exception.Once the maintenance is over, you'll be able to receive and sent out funds as usual.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT - Ignis airdrop on Freewallet on: February 19, 2018, 12:25:59 PM
You should be putting those NXT coins into the supported exchanges last january so you could have easily get those IGNIS drop but it seems you stored it to an app wallet which isnt supported by the drop.So i guess you wont receive any of those IGNIS,because mine was received 3weeks ago from bittrex so for you i think it wouldnt be possible.

cryptomema, we were officially listed among platforms supporting the IGNIS airdrop on December 28th. Unfortunately, it's taking longer than we estimated, however, we will be delivering IGNIS to Freewallet NXT holders who participated in the NXT snapshot, as promised.

PainKiller1986, please see the notification in the app about possible delays with incoming transactions in the BCN blockchain. We're monitoring the situation, and once it's stabilized, your transaction should get posted.

gecox22, we're sorry to hear about your situation! Our support team has already sent you a reply, we're performing investigation on our end as well. Please consider the following facts:

  • You have enabled 2FA on your wallet, and that's the piece of information ONLY YOU have the access to. We are physically unable to get the authentication code to enter your wallet.
  • There was a password reset request initiated from your side, with an email sent to your address on February 15th.

Unfortunately, the transaction was made to an external (non-Freewallet address), so there's not much we can do.
416  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEWallet.org SCAM ( Don't use any of their iOS or Android APP) on: February 16, 2018, 12:37:51 PM
Yes, I think that if you have private keys to specified wallet, recovering by just sending coins from this wallet is as simple as any other operations. I didn't sent BCC to BTC address or something similar. I sent BCC to BCC wallet, to which you have private keys. I'm IT guy and I understand exactly how blockchain works and what can you do if you have private keys.

True, however, you're forgetting the fact that there are thousands of hot wallets in the system and private keys to them aren't managed manually. We've already started working on your case and will inform you once your BCH are moved to your new address.

When I get my ignis?

XmasJohn08, last time we came up with an ETA, everybody got disappointed. We wouldn't want to keep our users in the dark, however, neither we'd like to sound unrealistic. IGNIS is in progress; as soon as it's ready, we'll make sure everyone knows it. Thanks for your patience!

First and last time I'll use this service...

Wanted some XMR so topped up my ETH account to use the exchange feature.

Sent .05 ETH but the top up account showed .03

Exchange rate was not favorable, got + 0.11522868282 XMR while the more reputable exchangly could have given me 0.15 XMR for .05 ETH.

THAMIR, all exchanges in Freewallet are powered by our partner, Changelly.com. If you'd like to dispute their fees or the exchange rate, please don't hesitate to contact our partner's support: they will be able to review your transaction and get back to you.
420  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEWallet.org SCAM ( Don't use any of their iOS or Android APP) on: February 14, 2018, 04:01:05 PM
There is no question whatsoever that Freewallet is a scam. They first stole over 1000 Ardor from my wallet, and now they stole all my ignis airdrop. They give you spam support messages, claiming to be doing something.
They are doing nothing, 2.5 months for this problem is ridiculous.
They are criminals, pure and simple. I got conned big time by them, but maybe you can avoid this. Just never ever use any of their thieving apps.

Skipspv, sorry to hear you're disappointed! We can assure you that no funds "disappear" from our wallets; nothing can be lost in the blockchain, as you know. Please tell us more about your Freewallet experience: is there a user id or a support ticket number we can check? Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing from you!
