Doc Rivers is still riding that Celtics title, with 3 hall of famers, maybe even four if Rondo gets there, seems a little bit tough for him to be HOF to be fair, but it looked like he would be. I think it is clear that Celtics team was stacked and of course they did alright. With a very on fire Ray Allen (who won with Lebron later on as well) KG and Pierce, it is really obvious that they would win, they could have lost as well but the difference maker wasn't Doc.

Ever since that year, he has been going from team to team around the league and failing, he has never won anything ever, the way he handled Sixers job was good enough for me to consider him not a great coach to be fair, and I think it has to be something that would not be easy.

Yep, looks like Doc got exposed. He wasn't really the difference maker on the Celtics team.
Maybe if someone else's coached that Celtic team better than Doc, they could've won more than just 1 championship.

I think we all sort of knew that already.  The underperformance he presided over in Los Angeles as his Lob City Clippers failed to make any meaningful runs in the playoffs still is shocking to me.  How he managed to fail so badly with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and Jamal Crawford is still a mystery to me.  Those guys should have easily been able to win a title, or at least made it to the Western Conference Finals every year.  He'll never have a better team than that, so I'm doubtful he'll be back coaching in the Finals ever again.

Agreed if there were any Clippers team that was destined to win it was that one.  I think over a certain time span the only one with more regular season games was golden state.  They just couldn't get over the hump.  With that being said Jamal was one of my favorite knicks ever.  His handles were insane and so underrated.

Is Taylor Swift a Pentagon asset?

Oh no, you've done it now. Black helicopters incoming. It was nice knowing you. I have no idea who this person or anyone in this thread is.

Lulz.  Right wing media taking things a bit far when it comes to taylor swift, travis kelce and this who pentagon asset nonsense.

Honestly as annoying as this all is, it's not her fault at all.  It's completely the media and the NFL's doing and I think she's really starting to get sick of it all.  Well, I think she's been sick of it all for some time.

Lot's of crazy prop bets for Taylor like what color shirt will she be wearing, if she'll be shown on TV eating a hotdog or not, etc lol.

NFL even started to distance themselves from it saying they can't control what the cameras zoom in on in the stands (wink wink).  You know the nfl is taking every chance they can to cash in on Taylor's boyfriend movement.  They were probably gushing knowing she will be at the big game cheering on her honey lol.  There has to be a superbowl prop of how many times she gets shown on TV.  Amyone have a number??

Ha e laid off basketball for a little bit but getting back on the horse tonight.  Here are my picks for the night:

Golden state -5.5, just think without embid to steer the ship the sixers are gonna eat some losses here amd get exposed

Clevland -11.5, gotta ride that team.  They look real good and with a fully healthy team look like a strong contender.

Miami -7.5...just a hunch.  Games like this are ones they usually tend to win.

405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably Fair- How Can You Know? on: February 07, 2024, 10:25:40 PM
So I've been playing a little bit of roulette on a couple different gambling sites online.  I've been throwing a few satoshis on playing Poker (Texas Hold'Em) here and there as well.  Mainly focusing on Roulette, how can I be sure that the site is provably fair? I've heard this term used before by gambling buddies on here, but I've near really learned how you can know or find out if a sites games are "provably fair"?

I'm not huge into these kind of places to bet (I don't do much dice which is huge) but the code behind everything should be able to be read and proved put that what is being sold in terms of stake should be provable.  There are smarter people out there that have done this time and time again to either verify or debunk sites constantly.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 07, 2024, 10:23:43 PM
I mean at a certain point your gambling has become toxic and selling property to gamble is well beyond toxic.  When ypu get to the point that ypu are selling off hard assets just to gamble that's when it's time to look for help.  I mean you might be able to lose that property and not have it affect you too much personally but at a certain point that will lead to cases where it will start affecting your personal life.
407  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What are your top 3 events in bitcoin history? on: February 07, 2024, 08:57:48 PM

My top three collectable events in my history as follows...

1 Came across Casascius in 2013
2 Came across Bitbills in 2017 after being away for years...yep they were the first and my hunt for them began once I realized this
3 Making my very first physical crypto item in the form of a postage stamp and mailing it in 2017. After that I started Cypher Hodl and the rest is history so to speak for me. Also discovering so many other collectables thru the years and meeting fantastic like minded individuals online and in person!

   As far as Bitcoin goes....

  1) Reading about Bitcoin in 2013
  2) Satoshi identity an unkown.
  3) Bitcoin White paper where it all started!

What a fine piece that stamp is 🙂

This seems like a perfect thread in the goods section and specifically collectibles 😐

With that being said if we are talking collectables:

1) bit bills starting the genre
2) casascius perfecting the genre
3) killyou fine tuning the genre

Those 3 seem pretty solid.

Can you give us a quick history lesson on killyou?  Sounds like it may be before my time on the forum but I am intrigued nonetheless.

Absolute legend.  I have a silver prototype don't think many exist.  It's not readily available so it might take some time to dig out.

While the trade rumors for Zach Lavine is there, he's going to undergo a surgery this coming week and he'll miss tons of games.
The recovery period could be for max of 6 months or possible to be more than that. If I'm the owner of the team, I'd definitely just trade him somewhere else and will take someone who's better than him. But will there be a team that's willing to take him now with that condition?

Bulls won't get anywhere close to what they are looking to get from him.  With him being hurt who is going to trade a better player for someone who might end up being shut down for the rest of the season.  The report says 6 or so weeks but you never know with these types of things how his body will respond.  His value went down significantly with that injury.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this Gaming Project ? on: February 04, 2024, 08:34:59 PM
Never heard of this but I always thought the ga.ing world is perfect for crypto.  With the ability to use micro transactions it makes it easier to monetize now.  Interested in finding a solid project that's in the space.  What exactly is the end goal for this project?  Worth looking into?
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 04, 2024, 08:30:11 PM
First with Joel Embiid scoring 70 points, then Luka Doncic getting 73 points, and now Curry with 60 points as well. We are maybe entering a new era of basketball where ISO could be coming back in a different format where stars are taking most of the shots and just taking the load, not in an isolation matter of the scoring ways but more like field goal attempt ways.

The thing about these type of eras is that sometimes it looks like it will stay, like it is the new NBA thing, but then it doesn't pan out. Remember the years when Westbrook was doing TD season averages? Everyone said that became the norm, and plenty of other players had so many, became common and all, but looking at it now, it is not all that extra common, so maybe this one will fizzle out too.

Defense is just terrible and doesn't exist anymore.  Points totals are getting shattered.  For those 3 players there are not any real good options after them.  Embid is just dominant and the game runs through him.  Same with Luka, with steph I think he is just getting fed up that his squad can't score without him.  The dynasty that was the Warriors is over.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 04, 2024, 04:25:31 PM
@ChiBitCTy. I did not imply make the season longer, only make college football begin earlier on May and end on August. After this, we will have NFL season begin! This schedule will be convenient for fans and this will also make it known who are awarded as the best players in college football and who might be in the drafts on the following year while we are watching the NFL season hehehehe.

On this statement from the Japanese Embassy, is this real? Who wrote this? Taylor Swift can wow the Japanese audience according to an official statement sounds not official heheehe.

College football will never start in May and run through the summer.  For one these are academic athletes so that just wouldn't work.  The way it goes is Friday for highscool football, Saturday for college and Sunday for the big boys.  Been that way for eons, football is a fall sport and isnt changing
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP NFT sales in January! on: February 03, 2024, 10:18:52 PM
Nfts are still a thing?  They had a nice run last bull but I feel like they are like altcoin bull runs.  They get a real nice one the first go around after that it's pretty much flat.  Have sales gone up since they bottomed out I haven't been following nfts much.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a $112 Million XRP Hack Shook the Crypto World! on: February 03, 2024, 10:17:10 PM
These stories are all too popular.  I missed the story but if so, hoe much do you trust this team if theor leader doesn't even know how to properly store their own stash of crypto lol.  It's not that I don't feel bad for them but being in the busie.ss they know the risks and obviously skipped a couple security steps which cost him huge.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 03, 2024, 10:14:47 PM
3-2 last night.  Tonight I'm going in hard on the Knicks-4.5 I have a hunch AD and Bron are both playing.  For one it's a prime time game and it's at MSG.  Players love playing there and the Knicks are surging so they need all the fire power they can get.  With that being said their defense has been amazing since the turn of the new year.  I expect it to continue and keep the Lakers under 100 tonight.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 03, 2024, 10:12:25 PM
It's a boring trade this year.
Well let's wait if there's something big that will come out, we still have 4 days if I am right.

Still a lot of time for management to make trades, so let's wait and see. James Harden? I thought that he is fine with the Clippers but I guess they will used him for leverage and maybe get just a role player to fill them specially in defense.

I'm more keen on seeing what the Warriors will do, there's a lot of noises that maybe someone big will be traded, so let's see how it goes.

Pascal Siakam is already settled with the Pacers, I don't think that they will trade him. He is their scoring option for now at Haliburton is on restricted minutes.

Yeah the last day is always when the big trades happen.  Right now teams are fileting offers and trying to figure out the best package for theor players, no need to jump early on a trade.  Based on the news of who is being talked about moving I don't expect much fireworks.  The play in changed a lot in terms of feeling like you are still in the hunt for the playoffs so it's tough to pack it in and trade off some players.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 03, 2024, 04:57:45 PM
@nutildah. Are we very much similar on being in the Roman times where the rulers distracted the people with gladitorial games and chariot races?

Good lord this thread was buried 4 pages deep today..a sign of the season coming to an end which legitimately does make me sad lol.

Can there be an argument to make college football start on May or June or earlier?

In any case, I want to watch college football more closely. What websites and sources of information would you suggest?

I'm afraid the refs are going to force the the issue so the Chiefs will win so that Mr. Pfizer can propose to Miss Illuminati during the post-game celebration.

Agreed, very much similar to what the Illumnati did to the referees in the AFC championship game heheheee. What are these referees names and are they a member of a Masonic lodge?

Yeah football almost over sad times Sad  with that being said I'm looking forward to this superbowl ypu know why Smiley

Is it Taylor Swift?

Lol that's a hard no.  Not that I care either way with the whole taylor thing.  I got a little scratch on the game and hoping pacheco has the game of his life.  I'm honestly shocked everyone e counted the cheifs out.  Reining Champs and dude won it on one leg last year.  They are the new patriots. They won't go every year but it's never a bad bet to lay so.e dough on them.  They won't ever be out of it for sure.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: February 02, 2024, 11:16:17 PM
Well Elon Musks new AI called Grok is very 'bullish' on Dogecoin for this year. The price of a coin now is 8 cents and Grok is saying this price can reach 10 to 15 cents.

Grok also says most optimistic price this year will be 34 cents. If there is regulatory problems then it says price can fall down to 5 cents. But I do not think that will happen.

https://finbold.com/grok-ai-predicts-doge-price-for-the-end-of-2024/

What people don't realize is that pricing altcoins in usd is almost impossible because the underlying driver is bitcoins price.  If bitcoin stays here around 40k then so will everything else.  Amd if bitcoin goes to 100-200k then everything else will rise too.  Not because it's successful but because most altcoin pairs are against bitcoin.
