This information just came out last week. Basically someone discovered a class of devices on the internet with open telnet ports that have default/known usernames/passwords. This is on the order of millions of such devices. Anyone with a shell script can now employ hundreds of thousands of devices to do their bidding easily and freely. This is only the beginning. This is the progression of any monetary system. The means of production are concentrated into fewer hands while the many have to compete against each other to get the crumbs of the pie.
