421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 28, 2023, 11:01:13 AM

I'm curious about the odds for the KO by Fury in this fight. Were they at 1.80 or higher?
K.O. bets are probably higher since they're more uncertain and unpredictable.

It's not always the case because there are KO artist boxers with exceptionally high KO rates, which often leads to lower odds for a KO compared to a win via decision. However, it's important to consider the opponent in this equation. In this particular fight, I'm inclined to believe it won't go the distance, as heavyweights are known for their devastating punches, and their size can lead to quicker fatigue. If memory serves me right, KO wins have occurred more compared to win via decision when it comes to the history of heavyweight boxing.

Is anyone interested in betting on Fury vs Ngannou for 5%?

1.05 - 8.20

Obviously, it is the most reliable and profitable bet on the fact that the fight will not last the entire distance with odds of 1.11 - even if Ngannou somehow miraculously wins, this bet will work.

If you have spare money you can afford to waste, go for Ngannou a big win with 8.20. And it could also go to waste more than likely.

Well, it seems like bookies didn't seem to buy into the hype surrounding Ngannou...... Offering just a 5% chance of Fury winning? That's quite not attractive as the odds are indeed too small to risk your money. You might want to explore other markets where you can find more attractive odds than 1.05.

A KO win by Fury still is substantial which is more than 80% possible if we look at the odds itself.
But there is no assurance to it yet, they could just be running arround the ring and end in a decision.

I'm curious about the odds for the KO by Fury in this fight. Were they at 1.80 or higher?
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 28, 2023, 07:09:24 AM
Also similar to Tapales, Conor was also humble before he became very rich. When he was not yet a champion, Conor's trashtalking was also not from his personality. He only taught himself to trashtalk to sell more tickets and more UFC subscriptions. Marlon can also use this tactic to sell more payperviews. It will also make this very exciting for the fans hehe.
That's what I think about his attitude too, and I think that McGregor being an asshole and cocky fighter during interviews contributed to the increase in sales in his fights which I think is the best strategy right now because you can pair this kind of fighter with a calm demeanor fighter or an equally trashtalking fighter and the results are going to be the same: more people wanting to see the matches.

Boxing and UFC are undoubtedly two distinct markets, and it's clear that boxing holds the bigger share. In fact, according to reports, Conor McGregor made a total of $85 million from all his UFC fights combined. However, in just one boxing match against Mayweather, he earned over $100 million. This demonstrates that the real money is in boxing, which is why we see many UFC fighters exploring exhibition fights, where they can potentially earn a significant amount, win or lose.

424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market warms up, what altcoins can help me rich? on: October 27, 2023, 09:58:40 PM
I read some Twitter users with big followers that cryptocurrency market is going to be bullish.

Bitcoin halving will come in 2024.

Bitcoin will have a big bull run in 2024.

What altcoins can help me rich in 2024 and 2025?

Any idea?
I invest only in reliable projects like BTC, ETH, and BNB as I don't think about getting rich but at least I was safe from my investment.
And so I don't want you OP to think about "getting rich instantly" but rather think where you can put the money that can give you profit assurance (at least) without taking high risks. Stop looking for hyped projects and those projects that promise 1000x returns because they are totally scam and the reason for your losses.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $5k rise within an hour plus. on: October 27, 2023, 02:44:01 PM
Definitely this sudden price hike has made everyone astonished for a bit. The ones who bought the coins just before the price rise would have definitely made good profit to be honest. Yes it was very strange to see this sudden rise without any good support, but this is not a bull run I guess. The traders tried so hard to accumulate the coin that it lead to rise in price. Bull season will come soon, probably in 2024, so yes this was just an early hint.
We wonder because we never expected this to happen and the current situation will tell us that nobody saw it happen that is why we all got surprised.
But just like the old days, the rise never stays long as the drop comes after and I am expecting this because people are selling off their Bitcoin when they see a price increase.

Well, we can say that this is some kind of price manipulation but I'd never see it was true. But what I believe is that the number of investors is growing fast making the demand spike and the result is somewhat surprising.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 01:35:20 PM
[....]
Maxey has consistently performed at a high level, and I can't believe why the 76ers didn't offer him a more bigger contract. This guy should be earning at least $10 million per year as a minimum, but he's only making $4 million this season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/tyrese-maxey-70663/

He already average 20ppg last season, maybe at least $20 million per year. Smiley

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/maxeyty01.html
The 76ers management is playing the waiting game since they still have some leverage even if Maxey become a restricted free agent next offseason. You also have to give give Maxey some credit for just focusing on playing instead of pushing for an extension. I think he understands that he'll get that bigger bag by next year no matter what as long as he keeps improving.

As long as Maxey continues to perform at such a high level, there's a strong possibility that he'll secure a big contract in the coming year. With Harden out of the picture, the 76ers might have more flexibility in their salary cap, potentially offering him a max contract. With the current season ahead and Harden absent, it's likely that Maxey's stats will continue to improve, especially given his youth and athleticism.

According to the link, he's set to receive a "Qualifying Offer: $6,259,588," but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being even higher.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 27, 2023, 12:23:26 PM
Hey Sports bettors!

I'm interested by two games on the slate for tomorrow....

Boston vs. Miami: These two teams had some exciting matchups in the Eastern Conference Finals last playoffs. I'm curious to see if Boston can bounce back with a big win. The spread is currently at -8, which seems a bit high, and I think Miami might be undervalued once again.

GSW vs. Kings: Another exciting game to keep an eye on. They faced each other in the preseason, and Curry broke Kings' hearts, just like he did during the playoffs. Can the Kings bounce back, or will the Warriors secure their first win of the season?

What are your early leans for these matchups? Share your thoughts fellas....
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 26, 2023, 10:05:45 PM
it is very important to be most careful while day trading when volatility is high, just as it has been in a few days now, this is specially for those who trade the futures market, trading futures is 10x more risky than trading spot, in futures trading, a simple miscalculation or failure to use proper risk management could lead to you being liquidated and all the money invested gone in a twinkle of an eye.

Best to avoid trading futures in times like this, but if you must, make sure you know what you are doing, and use proper risk management like the stop loss and take profit features, also ensure you are only trading with an amount of money you can afford to lose, and remember not to put all your eggs in one basket.

That is how important to know our capabilities as many traders underestimate the volatility of the market and then try futures trading not knowing how risky it is especially for newcomers. Many of us have been taught that Futures trading is more profitable compared to spot trading and that brings to our attention and courage to choose this one until they realize that it was not. Our common mistake is that we easily believe those people saying this without reading feedback from other traders who tried this. Even though some of them will say that they become successful but it doesn't mean that we can be like them.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 26, 2023, 09:40:49 PM
I feel your regret for not seeing the potentiality of Bitcoin and many individuals have that kind of feelings. However, it is not a thing we should think about and blame ourselves as we can't turn back the time instead, make it a reason to pursue it by now. Don't mind that we are late but rather think that we still have the opportunity.

Never think OP that those who came earlier had also had a great time in crypto, some of them had also struggled hard and suffered losses. If you had been in crypto earlier, it was also uncertain that you become successful or become like those who quit.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 26, 2023, 02:46:27 PM
So, he tested positive for illegal drugs while he was still actively playing before. I guess it's the right action, but a 6-month suspension is definitely painful, especially considering he was signed recently. But as they say, every action has consequences, and he has to face it. I hope Converge would be able to accept that and still give him a chance to play with the team once the suspension is served.

On another note, the PBA is set to return in less than 10 days! Get yourselves ready for some action. Probably next week, we'll have news about the imports for respective teams.

Are you excited for the PBA's return?
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you prepare for a Bitcoin bull run? on: October 23, 2023, 12:57:00 PM
I'm done preparing for the next bull run as I have my bag full already and now just waiting for the moment to come.
Now, people have given a hype opinion and insights about halving and the impact of this on the price. I was sure that the majority were expecting a price increase because this is what we have witnessed on the previous halving. Might have seen different market situations and price trends but gonna expect the bull season to be the next after halving. I think that nobody is selling off their Bitcoin at this time, instead of accumulating.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 23, 2023, 12:20:33 PM

Most people can't get lucky in gambling but still force themselves to continue gambling until their money runs out. They can't accept the loss and deposit more to continue gambling, which will only result in more losses. Those of us who have experienced such incidents must be able to prevent experiencing similar incidents because if not, we will never learn from the experiences and mistakes we experience and cannot become responsible gamblers.
Some people can't easily move out from gambling because they think that this will give them a fortune. I understand why poor people usually fall into this because they believe in luck and once they get it, they become rich instantly. Very unfortunate that they rely on their future on luck, well, maybe they are hopeless not to see any ways to improve their living other than just relying on gambling like buying lottery tickets. Even though they already have limited sources of income, they still spare money for this just to give hope (and then lose).
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Educate yourself to be a frugal gambler on: October 23, 2023, 09:55:26 AM
Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong. Gambling should be done to entertain yourself only, and always remember that gambling is not a sound financial investment. I have witnessed the horrors of people who blow their kids college funds and life savings on gambling at a Casino. Don't be one of these people. Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.
in this always goes the word "easier said than done"

because while the truth is we must just enjoy gambling but the thing is majority of the gamblers are seeking for money when they gamble and not the other way around.
to have fun? yeah it is but do you really handle this?
that you only play to have fun and enjoy?answer it for yourself first.
Gambling just gives us fun if we win - that was the reality. It is pretty simple why we gamble and that is we want to win. This is the primary reason why we are here and making fun is just our secondary reason.

And to say how to become frugal? It was not for gambling, in fact, some of us commit debts/loans just for this. It means that people are spending more money than saving - sometimes our savings are sacrificed as we prioritize our gambling habits. We don't need to be frugal here but just to wise in spending our money and most of all, not to fall into addiction.
434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 23, 2023, 07:48:20 AM
It is normal for newbies to make mistakes so it is better not to start trading in new situations. I didn't totally forbid trading in new state I mean learn about trading in new state and try to get real experience then a new trader can definitely start trading. You may say how can a new trader learn if he doesn't do real trading yes of course a new trader needs real experience but not as trading to learn. A new trader can start his trading education with minimum amount of dollars to learn. I don't think trading with small amount of money will result in much loss. The advantage of trading with a small amount of money is that a new trader can gain practical experience and protect himself from losing money.
I don't get what you are trying to say but this is my take regarding learning trading. If you want to learn about this then make yourself ready to lose money as well. You can't learn more if you are always afraid and you can't learn more if you never spend money. That is why I could say that trading is not for risk-takers but this is for those who want to change their emotions and be proactive in every mistake and loss they have experienced.

The most common mistake that we make is we already think about profit while we are still new. It should not be on our mind but instead, on how to improve our knowledge and skills.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 22, 2023, 09:34:33 PM
What are the other low cost but very effective solutions to gambling addiction. And typically how long will it take before the addict starts to feel more in control and less withdrawal symptoms?
One way to tackle gambling addiction without spending a lot of money is by finding an activity that you enjoy, and that keeps you entertained and engaged enough to lose track of time. The key to finding such an activity is to understand yourself better. It's important to explore your interests and passions and find something that truly resonates with you. Once you've found that activity, make time for it regularly to help you stay focused and prevent the temptation of gambling.

It is a working strategy I see and cost-free but of course, it needs dedication from the gambler who wants to stop their addiction to gambling, or else, it is useless. Cross-addiction, getting addicted to other stuff like sports could really forget gambling totally and interest. But as I've said, it all depends on the person who wants to change because many have tried but many have failed as well. Generally, it is all about controlling ourselves but with the help and strong support of the family members and friends, that is somewhat possible.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accumulation at all time high on: October 22, 2023, 12:10:44 PM
It is only natural because the btc halving is near and everybody knows it. If you study the other halvings, you will see that btc price rocketed off afterwards. This halving will not be an exception and therefore people are feont running it. The other reason is the probably the war between Israel and Palestine. Gold is moving up too lately and  we also know that btc and gold move together sometimes. The investors are not blind. They see all these and buying every btc in the market because it makes sense to do so.
People had already anticipated such a possible thing to happen and they accumulated some while the price had not yet skyrocketed.
So while many were getting into such thinking, price increase is what we gonna expect and here we are now, the current price is the result of huge demand. Probably not because of war but surging investors while catching the price before it skyrockets. We can expect more price increase as the halving come closer and it continues to rise to the next ATH high.
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 22, 2023, 11:37:18 AM
You know, there's this saying that goes, "Not trading is also trading." Taking breaks and knowing when to stop is just as important as actively trading. Trading psychology is often overlooked, but it plays a big role in being profitable. The factors you mentioned are all part of the psychological aspect of trading, and it's crucial to avoid trading under those circumstances. A losing streak can really mess with your mindset, so taking a break allows you to analyze your strategy, correct mistakes, and regain confidence in your trades.

Right. The perfect term would be pause from trading tho that is exactly how OP explained. It would he a regret to ultimately stop. By taking a break, we can analyze what went wrong, identify patterns and refine our approach without the pressure of trading again. We have to do something different the next time maybe. When we acknowledge the necessity to pause so we can make rational decisions and avoid common pitfalls, I think traders will have better chances of long-term success.
I don't think it was regretting but it was regrettable if we pursued trading which only losses are what we get.
We know how to stop our journey. Maybe we could start again but in the meantime, while are correcting our mistakes and making some improvements, we'd rather take a break for a while. In fact, I did this before just to picture out where I did wrong and what is the best I should have done. That is how important to recall our past trader in order to see the error that can be corrected so it won't happen again or to avoid big losses.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your nice hit to leave the casino. on: October 22, 2023, 05:57:08 AM
I won't spill the beans on the exact amount because you might pass judgment on what I'm willing to risk in gambling. Let's just say it's a pretty substantial sum, something that would make me happy. But, as you mentioned the 'projection of a specific amount,' once I hit that target, I'm out, calling it a day. We can't be gambling around the clock because luck can run dry. Sometimes, it's about securing a win, and that comes through sticking to our strategy, with discipline helping keep our greed in check.

Come on, guys, be honest. Haven't we all felt that itch of greed in gambling? Did you like how it turned out? I'm pretty sure the answer is no...
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 22, 2023, 05:28:22 AM
Either SMC or TNT will contact him and will try to negotiate if ever he will decide to play, though in situation like what TNT has right now, they might be the fit team for him, together with a Kobe like import they might get that good offensive combinations to defend the crown, though for sure the competition is tougher especially with the solid SMB and the Brgy that we all know if the players are healthy will always be present from the list of heavy favorite to win the title.
That’s true with TNT and I think Bolick will perform more if teamed with the best players too.
SMB and Ginebra is always the contender as they also have an aggressive strategy when it comes to adding the key players to the team. The recent addition of Teng for SMB was a great move and for sure Teng can have a good spotlight with SMB as most of their key players are suffering from some injuries.
That could be the possible scenario if Bolick want’s to play again, I’m sure a lot of teams are looking for him and sending him the offer because he can be a big help to any team. With regards to Jeron Teng addition to the SMB, I think this is good and this might be the season for Jeron to go all out because he will have now the support of other players and we might see his prime game again just like the old days.

Let's say he decides to play now because he needs money with a baby on the way. In that case, the best team for him to join would be TNT. They're in search of a player to support Castro in leading the team. While SMB and Ginebra might have the resources to accommodate him, it could be unfair to the other teams, especially TNT, which is a legitimate competitor. They've already lost Pogoy, and now if they lose Williams, it's pretty likely they won't make it to the Finals, or I'm even worried they might get knocked out early.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: October 21, 2023, 09:39:03 PM
Let's analyze it one after the other, currently now we are in dip season, but the market is pumping and we are moving towards an exit to this if we consider from where bitcoin has started to fall continuously till we are here today, we should also know that the bullrun is not yet started, we are only having a gradual experience in approaching it, now to your question OP, we can conclude by saying we are on a bull market presently sice the market is fast rising.
Recently, we are in a rising trend which makes us think that we are moving close to its bullish season once again. Some people say this is because of ETF news while some think it is just normal. Well, whatever the reason for the current price increase of Bitcoin this eventually happens no matter what.
As we are surpassing $30,000 again, people have already in their minds for the price to keep growing until halving. Many speculation arises that bull season started before halving but still, we're not sure where we going after the current situation.
