421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The zeal to invest in speculative asset on: November 09, 2023, 05:25:24 AM
Investment strategy one implement be it short-term or long-term is channeled for profit maximization. Cryptocurrency on it's own is a solid long-term investment, one which is volatile and unpredictable, which is also a speculative investment. I will say it have outperformed most asset classes in recent years; including stocks, bond, gold, and real estate. Cryptocurrency is the tomorrow of today.
Well, not all cryptocurrencies are profitable to hold. Because plenty of coins are just shitcoins without real use case. Hence, buying and holding crypto doesn't necessarily mean you'll gain in the future because it depends on the coins that you chose to buy. Moreover being a speculative asset makes it more risky compared to other investment opportunities (gold, real estate etc.), therefore an investor must know what you're getting into before deciding to invest your hard-earned money. Take time to learn to become aware of what coins are worthy to hold even it takes a long period.
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: November 09, 2023, 02:52:04 AM
Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!
When it comes to information and prediction, we can't count on these youtubers because they're not reliable. Creating this kind of content can give them money. More viewers watching their videos means more revenue for them. Therefore if newbies are relying on youtube videos to gain knowledge about Bitcoin and crypto in general, they might believe this false information.

The reason why it's better to have our research to find a reliable source to get an accurate information and not just rely to any videos on social media platform. Verify first before believing because it's not that hard.

424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 08, 2023, 04:56:15 AM
I know that many people try to stop gambling or reduce the intensity of their gambling because of several factors such as running out of money, being scolded by their wife, being scolded by their parents, or piling up debts. Irresponsible gambling will make us have bad conditions. I don't hope we will experience something like that because after all gambling is fun and full of challenges

But let's imagine, what kind of conditions might make you stop gambling?
First, If i'm already struggling financially. Because there's no way to continue playing if I know that I have no money to use for gambling. So it just right to prioritize looking for source of income especially I have a family depending on me. Second is work, currently that's what matters to me and also the reason why I refrain playing for a while because I want to achieve the position that I have been working on for months now.

Last is if gambling became a major issue that I have to choose what's more important between gambling and family. I'd rather stop than losing the latter. Well, they are aware that I gamble though. Anyway, if you're not addicted in gambling then quitting won't be that hard because you're still in control and can handle yourself.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: November 08, 2023, 03:12:38 AM
I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive. It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win. When we talk about work, it usually means we're not particularly wealthy, and imagine what happens when we gamble money we can't afford to lose, especially when we're not earning much.
I did this before (I play even at work) usually when break time or when there's no so much work to attend to. Our boss is also not so strict as long as you can do your job well. I don't have issue actually about gambling being a hindrance to focus on my job, but more on the thought of losing my money and that I should not play the particular game.

But now, I rarely do this because my budget for gambling is limited and I prefer to just play at home. This way, i can enjoy more my leisure time and can play longer if I want to.
426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: November 08, 2023, 01:04:02 AM
Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?
The price is not expensive if you can afford it and you believe in its worth in the future. Moreover when your plan is to hold for long period, then it is still reasonable to buy at $35k since there are many predictions the value can reach $100k in the future. Although of course it is not certain yet and just a speculation.

Therefore, the decision depends on what you believe in and your own analysis. Just keep in mind that for long term hodler, you can buy at anytime regardless of the price (though it's advisable when the price is in dip). Anyway, you're already in profit for buying at $26k-$31k, so you know better what decision is best at this time.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: November 07, 2023, 09:50:44 AM
Cross addiction is as worst as the main addiction you are trying to quit and it is a terrible idea.
Any addiction is really not good. But if one can move on to another addiction through switching then it is his/her choice since we know it's not really easy to quit.

So a friend told me that a mutual friend tried to replace his gambling addiction with another another one because he has tried all everything else. The new addiction is PS4. He pays for extra on the game and he is getting more and more into it. According to my friend, this mutual friend feels that paying $20 per month its subscription is better than $100- $500 on slots where he ends up losing.
Well, he spend less in his new addiction so he use this reason to justify his action and he is right somehow. But this doesn't mean it is fine to do this because still, it's an addiction and nothing's change. If he really wants to move on the best thing to do is to find other activity where he don't have to lose money to be entertained. Because this is still similar to gambling, he can justify his action but the fact still remain.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 07, 2023, 05:11:46 AM
What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?
For beginners don't gamble if you can't stand losing your money. Because in gambling that's inevitable. So have less expectation to win and only use the money that you can live without (one of the basic rules). Usually, the mindset of new gamblers who decided to gamble is, it's easy to win huge based on the advertisement where they get attracted to play. But unfortunately it's not easy as it seems, the reason why new gamblers should be aware of the risk. Because you don't have to learn the hard way to realize something if you can prevent this from happening.
429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The common saying Health is wealth on: November 07, 2023, 02:40:49 AM
In the society now most persons are only after making money forgetting that when your not healthy, you won't enjoy that same money your struggling for....like business people it's very difficult for them to close their shops to go for medical check-up because they feel they are loosing customers those hours they will stay at the hospital..rather they prefer self medication just for them to stay in the shop. What's the essence of making money without being alive to enjoy it
Those who chose self-medication rather than going to a doctor to receive a proper treatment doesn't experience the worst yet and can tolerate the pain that they've been going through. So as long as they're still capable to work while self-medicating, they will prioritize to earn money more than their health. Not knowing in time, money can't save you once your illness is incurable and it's late before they will realize it. That's why it should be balance, even you're busy making money, take good care of yourself. Because money is nothing if you can't enjoy your wealth due to health issues.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 07, 2023, 01:03:40 AM
There's no specific age for this since we're all different. An independent person who don't have responsibility to his/her family (not a breadwinner) can reach this status early because no one rely on him to slow his progress on whatever goal he wants to achieve. On the other side it's a bit different for people who chose to help their family members financially before focusing on themselves.

But of course as early as possible, that would be much better. It's just depends on what we do in life (sources to earn) and priorities. Therefore we don't have to compare ourselves to other people (if they're already successful) as long as we're striving and doing what we can to be financially stable. Remember the saying, age is just a number.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos Sponsor Sites That Deals With Gambling Addiction on: November 06, 2023, 09:28:01 AM
I'm just curious and would like to get the consensus of the community, should casinos sponsor sites that deal with gambling addiction and cure, we can't deny that the gambling addiction percentage is very high in this generation,

I just stumbled one site about gambling addiction it's a free help for those addicted to gambling, there are many more related sites and facilities.
Do you think it is the obligation of casinos online or offline?

It is casinos' way to repay those who put in a lot of money and get addicted or they shouldn't care because it's the gamblers' initiative to play.
It will be good for the reputation of the casino if they will sponsor the sites dealing with gambling addiction because the impression they will get from the people is they care and wants to help the gamblers with such situation. However, it's also their right if they don't want to do so because their business is gambling therefore the gambler itself is the one responsible on how he will manage himself to not become addicted in gambling. Just like other business, cigarette for example, they warned their customers that it is dangerous to their health but they keep on selling despite this fact. That being said, it's the customer's responsibility if he/she will still buy. Similar to gambling, if you become addicted it's your fault for not controlling yourself because you can prevent this from happening if you only play in moderation.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 06, 2023, 04:14:32 AM
I saw people wagering a lot of money, but this guy took it to some higher levels... How can we compete in some wagering wars and competitions against players who wager so much? Do we even have a chance? Smiley
Whales can wager huge because they are rich so not surprising if they can risk such amount in gambling. My maximum limit is $2 everytime I wager, that's the amount I can only afford and i'm not competing to anyone who can wager huge amount when they play. This is not a competition, what matter here is you satisfy yourself regardless of even you're playing to have fun or to profit. Thus, don't copy what others are doing because we have our own reasoning on why we gamble and of course we have different financial status in life.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best advice or should I just let him on: November 06, 2023, 02:34:03 AM
Should I give him advice on how to manage his gambling activities or I just let him since he is just enjoying his senior years and doing things that he missed doing when he was still young? and what's the right approach, we all know senior citizens are sensitive to criticism.
Do you noticed something as a bad effect of his gambling activity? If not, then let him be because maybe that's his way to entertain himself. Moreover, as a senior living alone (with his helper) away from his family, you really need an activity to spend your time and enjoy to prevent thinking of bad thoughts like the feeling of being neglected.

So just be a neighbor that he can talk to. You can give advice especially if you're a gambler as well but don't make it to a point that you seem interfering to his business.
434  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tarot cards gamit pang predict ng market? on: November 06, 2023, 12:53:21 AM

435  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 05, 2023, 08:09:00 AM
If you are going to fill out KYC, make sure you are dealing with the best and legit site so you can have your peace of mind.
This is good advice though our KYC information is always vulnerable no matter how good the security of a site is. Bigger sites like Binance got hacked and KYC information of many people were sold on the dark web.
You have a point, there's always a possibility of data breach and hacking but it depends on the platform's security. That's why it is important to not disclose your personal information to just random site. As Johnyz said, make sure the site is legit and reputable so you're certain that your informations are secured. Anyway, it's been a while since Roobet implement kyc and gamblers already used to it (not a big deal anymore) because nowadays kyc is already common for regulated casino. That's why I wonder why this issue is often discussed here.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: November 05, 2023, 06:16:46 AM
Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?
I'm used to this set up and not a problem if they often ask for my login details everytime I open a browser. In fact, I prefer this one rather than keeping myself logged in on the particular site (even for other users it is convenient) just to save time and hassle. However, it's a different thing if i'm already logged in, then I hit the backspace or check their other features then they will ask for my login details once again even i'm not closing the browser, in this case it's hassle and annoying even it's for security.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 05, 2023, 02:58:31 AM
If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?
This is possible especially for someone who's looking for an activity to have fun yet don't want to go outside .

How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?
Playing without a desire of having fun just shows you have other intention on why you gamble (like doubling your money which is also common). But it doesn't necessarily mean a gambler is already an addict. Because it depends on how you gamble and if you have a self-control to limit yourself on when you should stop to avoid further losses.

If you are making $600 a day, that's $20000 in a month, and because you are only you start having interest to gamble, what do you think this is?

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.
In this case, spending such amount in gambling per day clearly shows a gambler already have a gambling addiction regardless of the reason on why he's doing it. Loneliness can push someone to gamble but in the end, it's a gambler's decision on how often he will play and how much he will spend.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 05, 2023, 02:05:04 AM
So, the latest trend when it comes to crypto gambling is the new wave of Telegram Casinos . I'm not talking about those early bots where you could play simple blackjack games in a Telegram group; I'm referring to these new crypto casinos like TG Casino, Mega Dice, and Lucky Block. They've created tailor-made mobile casinos for the Telegram audience, allowing players to log in through their Telegram accounts and start playing instantly without the need for KYC.

What do you guys think about this new trend? Is it good or bad?
Well, I have not tried to play on TG Casinos and have no plan to do so. Because it's more secure for me to stay playing on casinos where I used to gamble since it's already proven to be trustworthy. Therefore even these TG Casinos are not requiring their players to verify themselves to be able to play, still, I won't be attracted.

Anyway it depends on what the gamblers prefer on which they think is more secure and convenient. So it's understandable if some gamblers prefer TG casinos rather than the established sites.
439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 05, 2023, 01:14:56 AM
I do agree that there is a good big potential for it in the near future. I agree that it may not look all that great for the time being but it is definitely not a bad idea anyhow, I think it could be done one way or another and should be provided that they could be making some leeway.
The real growth takes times and those coins with short run pump are really manipulated by the whales who are trying to make personal profits but with Rollbit coins they are progressing with new developments and provides utility for the coin which is plus point for them and long term vision for the casino.
Indeed. But many investors still prefer to profit in a short period if possible. Even the chances and risk of losing their money are high, they just ignore it. We always say to choose a coin with utility, but in the end it is up to them where they want to invest their hard-earned money. So only invest in RLB (or any coins) if you think it's worth it based on your own analysis, research and understanding.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Late To Invest In Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2023, 05:33:28 AM
I am a 20-year-old student. Not long ago, I heard a famous cryptocurrency expert in Korea on YouTube.

He said, "Bitcoin investment seems to be late, to be honest. I'm sad, too. I think 2018 was the last chance for ordinary people."
There are many people in crypto calling themselves an experts, anyone can claim it. But is what they're saying really reliable? So have your own analysis and reaearch. Although it's true that the early stage of Bitcoin is the perfect timing to engage ourselves. However, many of us didn't take this seriously because who would have thought Bitcoin will become this big now, right?

I'm so pathetic and depressed because I didn't know Bitcoin quickly. What should I do? Cry
You're not late. We're not even in bull run yet. If you believe in the future of Bitcoin, try to accumulate based on how much you can afford.
