441  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: February 15, 2024, 12:48:56 PM
Thankfully there is freedom of speech here and at the same time there is also a member that comes from a wide array of backgrounds (both geographically and with regards to mindset) and it helps shape the forum threads. Even though there is freedom of speech there are clearly restrictions in place, for example plagiarism and calls for violence are not allowed and those doing it will sanctions because moderators will take action. Strangely enough though, scams are not moderated and in that sense, freedom of speech here allows scams to operate. The latest of course is the promotion of mixer bans including URLs to their websites therefore freedom of speech has limits either in real life or in the forum.

Regarding the forum and those out there running similar websites, I think we all agree Bitcointalk is ahead by a long distance but (and I know some will disagree) in my opinion, other forums will increase in traffic and prominence over time because of the mixer ban. Mentioning those forums should be allowed without prejudice and in those forums they should also allow the mentioning of other forums too.

I do not see other forums as a threat to Bitcointalk forum. Bitcointalk forum has made a name for itself over the years and more people are joining the forum without restrictions. One benefit members enjoy from building the forum  is freedom. Freedom to post useful contents from any forum that are free from plagiarism. Bitcoin is not in any form of competition with other forums, infact the teleport feature makes it even more easier for Bitcointalk members to go in and out of other forums without losing their membership in the Bitcointalk forum. If other forums place restrictions on adverts and promotions from other forums, it is them dealing with their insecurities. Other forums are still trying to gather traffic on their platforms therefore, bringing contents from other platforms means diverting the attention of their forum members.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 on: February 14, 2024, 11:25:16 PM
These are the next set of games for the Champions League knockout stage first leg:

Tuesday 20th February
Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid
PSV Eindhoven vs Borussia Dortmund

Wednesday 21st February
FC Porto vs Arsenal
Napoli vs Barcelona

These are the results of the knockout stage first leg games already played. Manchester City have a healthy goal advantage cushion when they host FC Copenhagen but cannot be deemed as favourites to retain the Champions League trophy because Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also in the draw. I would not count Arsenal, PSG and Barcelona in that list as serious contenders.

Lazio stunned Bayern Munich today with a 1-0 win but Bayern Munich should win the return leg and Real Madrid won by a single goal away at RB Leipzig:

Wednesday 14th February
Lazio 1-0 Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Real Sociedad

Tuesday 13th February
FC Copenhagen 1-3 Manchester City
RB Leipzig 0-1 Real Madrid
443  Economy / Reputation / Re: Impersonation of my wallet address. on: February 14, 2024, 11:14:15 PM
@Agbamoni, is Dailyscript also your Alt account or not?

You must be surprised and wondering how I am asking you about this.
You can do things in the dark, but one day they eventually come out.
This is interesting. Will Agbamoni respond if the thread remains unlocked?

You may see me as stupid for bringing up this issue here but what if it was someone else that comes across it and decided to report the unusual behavior, wouldn't it still affect me in the process? Sometimes doing what seems right is wrong but however, I can't be quiet and jeopardize my reputation here, it's just so unfortunate how some persons jump into conclusions without finding out the nitty-gritty of a report before jumping into conclusions but all the same I've vindicated myself and and don't fucking care about how anyone feels about this.
The problem here is that all of this does seem very strange. For those members that have been around the forum for a few years and have seen a lot of things, it is easy to state the obvious and on many occasions stating the obvious was the correct outcome.

If some members believe once the address associated with the Richbased account was posted by the Agbamoni account, it would almost be inevitable that one day eventually someone would link the two accounts to the same address and for that reason you pre-empted that outcome by creating this thread to vindicate yourself to try to pass this incident off as an error - then they will believe that.

Now that you have stated you do not care how anyone feels about this, my suggestion is to lock the thread.
444  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Shffle has locked my account and is not allowing me to withdraw the 0.12 ETH on: February 14, 2024, 07:44:17 PM
CasinoGuru have rejected the complaint on the following grounds:

While there are several accusations here, such as your use of multiple accounts and providing questionable KYC documents, the main focus of this complaint appears to be centered on your use and/or abuse of sports betting facilities.

Since we don't have enough insight into this field of online gambling, we wouldn't be able to interpret the casino's findings and/or their explanation correctly and judge this case fairly. There are many multiple-account strategies used by players focusing on sports betting.

We don't think that your complaint is unjustified, we just couldn't evaluate the issue properly. We would like to help, but it is impossible for us this time. Consequently, this complaint will be rejected.

I am sorry I could not be of more help on this occasion.

They have made it clear they cannot evaluate the issue properly as it is out of their scope of expertise and not because of any other reason. The Shuffle casino representative was adamant the OP is based in a restricted area and had multiple accounts and also provided fake KYC therefore with CasinoGuru now stating they cannot do anything, what will the OP do next?

I've already stated that I haven't registered so many accounts; there's no need for it. I haven't claimed any bonuses or promotional rewards either. There are issues with Shuffle's management itself. The fact remains that I can't withdraw the funds from my account.

I see that your complaint on CasinoGuru is now available for public. Let's see their ruling for this issue, suppose they goes far and touched the multi-acc issue instead of just stopping at the VPN. I am sure Shuffle is more than happy to provide all the supporting evidence of their findings to the arbitrator.

445  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: February 14, 2024, 07:29:38 PM
But it is not so much of a problem now, I think, because after a large number of teleported members in December and January, the speed has slowed down a lot and I don't see that at least for the moment that forum can compete with this one in a major way.
I am not aware of how to check the number of forum members that have registered on other forums (or have teleported specifically to the other forum) but if the numbers are slowing down then it means the initial impact of the mixers ban has begun to subside.

One would assume under normal circumstances it would take movement and momentum to get new members to register on any website and clearly the other forum was hardly ever mentioned here but the mixers ban has no doubt given it (and possibly others) an injection of new life. If signature campaigns are active there, traffic will flow there.

In a few years, I don't know, but not today, especially considering that those of us who have a teleported account there still write here.
There is also the possibility that as long both forums continue to remain accessible, in future members could post in both and even other forums. We still do not know how all of this will unfold in 2-3 years time.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 14, 2024, 07:21:20 PM
There is a dilemma we all have to face when we decide to converse with people about Bitcoin. It does not matter if they are either close family and friends or whether they are neighbours or colleagues, there will always be questions about "when did you first buy", "when did you first hear about it" and "how much do you have".

Though there is no obligation to present Bitcoin to a new audience or even engage with people when they themselves raise the subject, I feel it is better to somehow engage with those asking questions and learning about crypto. How you avoid answering the questions that can indicate how much wealth you have accumulated is the difficult part.

absolutely agree with OP!
I would also add that it is useless to talk about bitcoin in public/even with friends or relative. Of course for security reasons!
you never know what our interlocutor might think. “he has bitcoin = he is rich”.
Imagine if you met someone who told you about it when it was worth a few dollars. nowadays you will be sure that he has practically become a millionaire...
447  Economy / Reputation / Re: Where do we draw a line? Signature campaigns or shilling campaigns on: February 14, 2024, 12:26:12 PM
If the casuistry is far too extensive to the degree not every angle and permutation can be covered (and it would be), one would expect common sense to at least apply where common sense is due.

For example, if a world famous personality earned money to sit in a press conference because they have been hired to promote tourism to the Seychelles and wears a "I love the Seychelles. You should visit soon" t-shirt, you would expect them to use their common sense when they are giving answers.

Operators can run their campaigns however they want as long as they're within the rules of the forum, but I think things like this should be stated upfront as part of the terms of the campaign if it's an issue but I don't think users should be expected to refrain from promoting competitors without warning. I can see from the operators perspective why they wouldn't want this just like if you were advertising for Pepsi they wouldn't want you advertising for Coca Cola or promoting any other drinks but this would all be laid out in their contract and I think it should be the same here and made part of their rules if it's something they don't want.

Really? I think it's simpler than that, it's understood when you join a campaign. If we get into specifying everything as it is done in the contracts we will not cover all the possible casuistry even if the OP occupies two pages. Contracts are full of specifications and even then they sometimes end up in court, which is not going to happen here.

448  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW] 🚀 Rocketpot.io | 2,500+ Games 🎰 | 10% Cashback 💰 on: February 14, 2024, 12:13:14 PM
I cannot speak for everyone but if I were registered at any casino/gaming website, I would not be happy sending KYC to them regardless of the reason they cite.

As far as I am concerned, once you send your documents to any online entity especially (casinos and exchanges) there is a possibility they can exit-scam and alongside that sell KYC data on the black market. Furthermore, some could even be honeypots that were set up by criminals with the explicit intent to try to get as much personal information about their customers/victim in order to use it for nefarious purposes further down the line.

Not sure if anyone cares but I just received an email from Rocketpot asking for verification documents - looks like they are now forcing everyone to go through KYC, otherwise account(s) will remain closed/locked.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 14, 2024, 12:25:59 AM
I suppose asking the question (how many Bitcoin do you have) is one of the first that comes to mind when engaging with someone that is not familiar with crypto or Bitcoin in general. I do not think that is a very bad thing if they are curious and it is because they probably try to make the connection between it being real money or not.

Slightly off-topic, some people crypto is still something that is not mainstream enough. It is because they have been used to reading stories about hacks and crypto being stolen as well as (the unfairly made connection with) money laundering, that makes some people not learn about the basics of Bitcoin as for them it is associated with crime.

It is funny how often people ask how much Bitcoin you have.  You can tell that they don't believe it's real money.  That question is usually followed up by how you can actually buy anything with it.  Talking to most folks, you'd think that sending BTC to an exchange to have cash sent to your bank account is some sort of wizardry that is beyond the grasp of the common man.  Having these types of discussions with people really does cement it into your brain how insanely early we still are to this crypto thing.  How many bitcoins do you own?
450  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: help plz. i got scammed for 500$ from rollbit help razer on: February 13, 2024, 11:19:26 PM
I would like make a generic comment rather specific to the OP and his scam accusation. On many occasions we have seen members open scam accusations against casinos/gambling websites and put forward their side of the story only for the accused to post their side of the story and then we discover the accuser was not being completely honest.

It looks as though he has accepted that members from the forum will not be supporting him therefore I think we have seen the last of the OP as far as this thread is concerned. His last login was after the Rollbit forum representative told him he was not welcomed at Rollbit because he committed fraud and he broke their terms and conditions in the process.

All I sense here is just fraud, manipulation, and extortion from victims who might not know what they are up to. If the account is banned forever, it will be better if the funds could be returned to the person who sent it to the Op in the first place, as they might not know they have sent money to someone trying to outsmart them.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 13, 2024, 11:12:15 PM
Some members that are participating in the lowest quality signature campaign (that pays money to account-farming spammers operating accounts that have neutral and negative tags) have made this thread their home. Time to unwatch this thread. I have asked moderators to lock this because it has become a haven for spammers.
452  Economy / Reputation / Re: Where do we draw a line? Signature campaigns or shilling campaigns on: February 13, 2024, 11:01:16 PM
If any campaign manager asks/instructs campaign participants to make negative posts about competitors (either other campaign managers or products being advertised), it is unacceptable. Thankfully that is not the accusation here.

If I understood correctly what icopress stated/implied, I would like to give an example: I am wearing a Wasabi signature. If I came across a thread that the OP was asking for a list of products/services that could do a particular job (such as coinjoin) and I decided to post a list of some names that might interest the OP, if Wasabi encompassed what the OP wanted it would be (in my opinion) both highly unethical and dubious on my part to not even mention Wasabi in that list by virtue of wearing their signature. If others state it is not unethical or dubious to not list the name of the brand that rents their signature then that is a decision for them and we are all entitled to our views/opinions.

In short, signature campaign participants mentioning the brand/name in their signature when compiling a list of multiple names of companies offering similar services is not shilling.

Put simply, from what I can see all that icopress stated was that if members are in any of his campaigns and they decide to make a post listing brands that provide identical or almost identical products/services to the ones they are being paid for, there is common courtesy to mention that brand alongside others. I see absolutely no problem with the stance icopress has taken.

Having said that, if in order to stop threads such as this popping up again a clause should be added to the campaign thread then that is something for campaign managers to consider.

I feel that if we leave things like this unchecked, that's a short way to the introduction of shilling campaigns, where participants will be openly required to make a minimum number of positive posts about advertised service, or maybe even negative posts about its competitors.

453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: February 13, 2024, 10:13:53 PM
Here is an interesting article about Fury stating he wants to fight Usyk twice, then Joshua (probably twice) and Ngannou again but is Fury just being Fury by talking about things that distracting from the real focus? Five fight plan for Tyson Fury

Call it a hunch but when I read about the unification fight I feel there is a chance Fury will pull out of the re-scheduled 18th May 2024 fight with Usyk. Hopefully it will go ahead as planned.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: February 13, 2024, 09:07:37 PM
Your post was in a thread that had no activity for around 7 months. What is necessary to make the post and then to get yourself noticed when you already had one neutral tag for AI posting? Now after looking at your post history I have added a neutral tag to your account. If you want to build up ranks on accounts in your farm you should be more careful.

455  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: February 13, 2024, 08:53:23 PM
I speak from memory but I would say that I once saw phillip say that he had problems with gambling in the past, probably that's why for him joining a gambling signature campaign is something that's not even on the table for him. And although there are other options, they are limited, although he should not have any problem to be hired. He is the human with the most posts in the forum (the first is ChartBuddy), which is attractive in terms of SEO, and the second most recognized.
He certainly has been active (or shall I say even overactive) in the forum on an extremely regular basis. Quite clearly the forum plays a very important role in his day to day life and at his age with retirement (and with that probably a lot of time on his hands) it is understandable.

If it brings in a regular income from a source that is acceptable to him and he can decide to not use other sources for personal reasons (such as gambling websites) then that is something he has to contend with but if he can square that off with a personal bespoke signature campaign and earn significantly more than what others enrolled in the signature campaign do, then good for him.

If he (or anyone else is) in that position, the post count and recognised status should be leveraged to negotiate a bespoke signature campaign deal but as you said with gambling website dominating the signature campaign space they will be ignored if they are off the table for him.

Unfortunately, I must confess that I am also an artificial intelligence.
Being an AI must have advantages. Is that how you found a solution very fast when Hostinger blocked your mixers list website. You wasted zero time in relocating it  Grin
456  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit didnt help me as Gambling Addicted - not closing main account on time on: February 13, 2024, 08:33:50 PM
The Rollbit forum representative posted in another thread where there were problems and they made it clear the complainant was in breach of their terms and conditions and made it clear the complainant was not welcome to play there again. I do not know why they have not posted in this thread but it would be helpful if they responded to your allegations.

Answering to your question... I had 1k winnings I didn't complain, I tried to withdraw and they REFUSED ALL WITHDRAW ATTEMPTS.
I continued to play until loss everything later. In my opinion it was a simple trap to someone addicted. I couldn't win it.
457  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Blackjack.Fun is a cheap Scammer on: February 13, 2024, 08:15:02 PM
As I stated earlier, without commenting on any specific allegation and keeping my reply in generic terms, it certainly does not look good for them. What gives them a lot of benefit of any doubt at the moment (in my view) is that their forum representative was last online in the forum on 25th January 2024 therefore they might not have seen the comments about the Curacao logo amongst others.

I cannot comment on the provably fair issue but hopefully they will post here soon to make a comment about the logo otherwise there is a real risk they could end up with either neutral or negative feedbacks from members that are not satisfied with their response.

I wonder if their reluctance to remove the Curacao logo is reason enough to give them a negative trust rating?! They are intentionally lying about their license without showing signs that they will correct it. What's more, they have locked their ANN thread on Bitcointalk, showing once again that they aren't interested in communicating with the community. Besides the Curacao logo, Blackjack.Fun also has a Provably Fair logo at the bottom of their website. It's a different matter, but worth checking if the site is provably fair or not. If it isn't, they are again guilty of providing false information and lying.
458  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: February 13, 2024, 07:28:18 PM
I have two questions: First, after all this time you have been offering to do jobs (and odd jobs), did you ever manage to get even one job done for a member of the forum? Second, is there any trustworthy member that can vouch for you by stating they employed you to do a job and you carried out the job requirements to their specifications?

Any job you need done?
459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCpay Server: A Real e-Commerce Game Changer? on: February 13, 2024, 01:19:46 PM
It is good to see this thread receive a post such as yours where a success story is shared.

There are many options for cryptocurrencies but if your found BTCPay Server to be the solution that worked for you, then that is good news and you are not alone. Many businesses are using it and are also installing plugins for exchanges such as Fixedfloat and SideShift which allow customers to use various crypto at checkout but the shop owner receives BTC.

----------------------------

If you (or anybody else) do install a crypto payment plugin, I would advise you to never use Fixedfloat because they have an outstanding allegation against them and the way they bullied the accuser and his client by forcing them to go through KYC and yet still have no information about whether their €8000 was returned after Fixedfloat confiscated it, you have to beware: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA!

I created an e-commerce website for fitness jewellery products that I make. I wanted to implement payment gateway on my website because e-commerce is dead and very new in my country. Strike, Woopayments and many other companies don't support my country. I had some local options but they charge a lot and the plugin requires monthly payments. So what's the solution in this case? To install BTCPayserver plugin on your Wordpress website and accept Bitcoin and altcoin payments. That's what I did and I feel relaxed right now. Cryptocurrencies are the best payment method around the world, they are easy, don't require any specific criteria, support every country and galaxy.

I simply wanted to say thank you to BTCPayserver developers and share my experience here. Plugin and website works nicely but sadly there is no demand on crypto payments.

Their forum representative (LuckySea) was active today but yet again have decided to not make any post at all regarding the scam accusation by Kadat and that was disappointing.

They have had ample opportunity and time to at least respond in public to the complaint against them, even just to state they are dealing with it would have sufficed for a short time but they did not even do that. I have no idea why they have decided to ignore forum members that are asking them to look in the above case when they know it will not look good on their reputation.

^^
I could've accepted it if they just kept saying that the accounts in question are still under review and that their investigations haven't been finished yet. We know from previous experiences that some investigations may take up to few months. Also, by doing so, they show us that they are serious about about resolving these issues.
But completely ignoring all of the above replies and on top of that they log in to post about their promos is completely unacceptable.
