441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the biggest airdrop you've ever received? on: March 10, 2024, 08:19:54 PM
My biggest airdrop campaign is from uniswap . Thought I invested lots of time and some of my funds it was worth it at the end .I came out with almost $500 at the end of the day it was my best airdrop till today.

same here. i think it's the only airdrop that i actually got. as i have not participated in any airdrop program. UNI was unexpected. they were just thinking of some ways to distribute tokens,  i was in luck ffor using Uni to just exchange my ETH for i was too conscious of submitting KYC.

before 2021, there are exchanges airdropping coins to our accounts though. i remember bittrex airdropped 2LTC in my account which i also sold at $300, i guess that was the biggest at that time which was 2017.

this is like a union in the gambling forum  Grin

hard to say it will work. the casino is bigger than this forum and they could just leave here if they are threatened. but Vod is right though. basically this is just a one-sided battle for gamblers who want to protect themselves. it's already normal for casinos to ask KYC and as you have submitted your documents, you are already known to them and that's besides the fact that the funds are stuck in the betting platform.

444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling BTC for Alt Coins? on: March 10, 2024, 05:29:16 PM
I know Bitcoin will never ever do another 5x in the near future haha so that's kind of why I would wanna sell.

if you say so. yes, you can sell your coins and find an altcoin. your choice. curious to know how you know BTC is not going 5x in the future.

since you have already decided, you should be able to also find an altcoin that may go 5x in the future. this shouldn't be a problem with your crystal ball. there are several altcoins you have in mind that's for sure. i think you can give a comparison of these altcoins as to why you wanna buy this or that.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 10, 2024, 05:18:17 PM
Let's not make this too technical.

Of course, as a gambler, before engaging in gambling, you should at least know what the hell are you doing in the gambling world in the first place and how you can deal with the risk here. Anyways, I'm referring to gambling in general. You won't enter here and risk your money without having any information, right?

Anyway, I read comments about sports betting. Referring to that, having information plays a vital role in doing a good analysis. Although the match result is still unpredictable at the end, will you risk betting on something that you didn't know why you placed a bet on? That's a suicide bet. If you will behave like that in sports betting and just rely purely on random luck guessing, better switch careers.

having a piece of information before the match starts sounds like a fixed match. but it's often the case in some sports in which the working organization is just there to make money out of the matches.

i think this is also true. it's just that the clue is hard to figure out unless someone already feed it to the gambler. the Ngannou vs AJ fight is somewhat predictable but because of the previous fight of Ngannou, many bettors tried to root for him. but in a pragmatic view, AJ makes sense and Fury vs Ngannou was just a promotion of Ngannou as an introduction to boxing.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines to launch non-blockchain CBDC in two years on: March 10, 2024, 05:04:05 PM
Philipine government promoted PayMaya.

but we do have Gcash also which is more adopted by merchants, these are digital peso payment apps that are widely used in the country. we use this every day in buying everywhere even in a store on the corner selling street food. give it another year even the people in the most remote islands will be able to use these two.

i doubt the government can develop something on its own. if they can develop something, it will come out to be no different from these 2 but only for the banks.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PLS HELP me analyze the candlestick. on: March 10, 2024, 03:43:22 PM

just like you those early investors have bought the token for $0.50 after finding out it's already $3, why not sell them?
i'm sure it's a profit already if you have sold yours. it seems to be normal back in the ICO days. a slight chance of scam is possible but you know like I said it's normal. you should have sold yours too or you'll be waiting for months to profit.

there is nothing to analyze in that chart since its just the first week of it. its just that early investors are selling.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling shib to buy other alt coin? on: March 09, 2024, 07:05:04 PM
SHIB keeps growing. i wouldn't be selling it this early if i were you. this bull run is not over you could make it more than 50x of your initial investment of that SHIB.
just this week alone, it has risen more than 100%. there is a chance that this token will even hit $0.0X if this bullrun lasts up to 2025. leave it be and just wait.

besides the altcoins you are going to buy after have also risen along with Shib. there would have two shitcoins you have to watch out for then. save your time just watch 1 shitcoin, don't add another headache to think about.  Grin
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 06:14:54 PM
This is a big shocker for all of us, Joshua just knocked out Ngannou in one of the nastiest knocks out we've seen in round two, Joshua took only one straight shot on Ngannou's head to flatten Julius, I know that AJ can win the fight but I never thought this could be this easy.

This is the highlight of that one punch knock out
https://twitter.com/bjpenndotcom/status/1766261771969703957

Brutal knockout indeed. So this settles the issue now and move forward and see if we can the "Battle of Great Britain" now that Joshua has won. Time for Tyson Fury to defeat Usyk and face Jushua next.

That's about the fastest boxing match I've streamed live in my entire life, Ngannou's was rendered completely clueless and wasn't even given any chance to be considered as a worthy opponent, Anthony Joshua really made him look like someone that have never been in any kind fighting sport nor mixed martial arts to so honest, he was so defenseless.
One of the fastest losses in boxing history. Ngannou thought boxing was all about talking too much and seeing oneself as the winner. He was unaware that the fight with Anthony Joshua would not be the same as his encounter with Tyson Fury, or that it would end so quickly.

Anthony Joshua had trained hard for the bout because he wanted to advance in his boxing career with a victory and he didn't want to let his guard down after losing to Usky twice.
AJ is very desperate to become a champion again that's why he will do everything to be at that stage again. That win will hype his name again and promoters will not be having a hard time to promote his fight. I think they are just waiting for the result of Usyk vs Fury, and hopefully Fury will win so they could market the fight better, AJ vs Fury, it has not happened before, unlike AJ vs Usyk where the latter had already beat AJ twice.

I think Ngannou will seek a rematch from AJ in the future because he never thought he would be knocked out so quickly and without much pressure.

No need, he showed nothing but hype. it's very clear that he is not ready for a big fight like that, AJ trained hard unlike Fury when he faced Ngannou.. And I also don't know if people are still hyped with Ngannou as the hype is necessary for promoters to give this a go.

AJ is young and unafraid to fight someone bigger than him. he fought Usyk twice, and this is certainly a good characteristic for someone deserving to be a champ.

i was expecting Ngannou to win actually. he was unprepared for that kind of strategy, the jab coming from AJ blinds his view to watch what AJ is about to do, and suddenly the right straight hits Ngannou's face.  that kind of defeat is just not going to give Ngannou the right to demand a rematch.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $5000 investing now - which 5 projects? on: March 09, 2024, 06:02:24 PM

the poll is not allowing users to pick 5 projects.

i would choose Vechain among the 5 and most probably some other else like Doge and some AI projects that are not on the list. the AIs are pumping since i would still get in if i have the money to invest in them. FET for example hit $3 recently it would grow more in time when the altcoin season speeds up. there are certainly a lot of altcoins to choose from but these are the few that i would be holding till the bull run is almost over.
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: specialty or "Jack of all trade? on: March 09, 2024, 04:57:12 PM
are you guys familiar with the saying that goes “jack of all trade, master of none”? because if that is the case then i would not want that i would choose being the best at one thing instead of being average with a lot of things i mean yes it would be advantageous and you would have a wider range of job opportunities but i would like to excel at something and be recognized to be the best in that field

that's exactly what i want lol jack of all trades, master of none.
this is the only option ffor someone who wasn't allowed to take a degree of their wants or is simply just undecided in what to do with their life at age 21  Grin

you know when you grow up in a poor family where you are forced to fix things on your own when something gets broken, you end up becoming a jack of all trades. and then you are just known in the neighborhood to have fixed plumbing and electrical problems in the house.  if you end up learning how to trade in forex because of the necessity to make money, you have a pack of skills.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 04:31:29 PM

so much for trusting Ngaannou to deliver. i am disappointed too since i was betting for Franc to win. but $615k is just a huge amount of money. i wouldn't want to replay to watch again because it hurts. i and banking for Francis to make it in boxing and be a champ.  it would be a good story of his life. anyway, hope he will fight again.

at least thinking about Drake's loss compared to mine makes me think i'm not the worst gambler.
453  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 09, 2024, 04:25:35 PM

some people are brilliant and can materialize ideas because he has the money to pour on this idea. some just have the ideas but have no means to support this idea.
everyone has ideas. regardless of how small these ideas are, they only need a bit of funding from someone to make things happen and the opportunity to make money can then be easy.

entrepreneurs are often inventors but if he has no one to fund his product, he will have no opportunity. ideas are always there, its the money that is needed.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 08, 2024, 08:28:35 PM

the good thing that might happen in diving into the new token is that you become an early investor and the possibility of getting millions is what you hope for.

but there are lots to consider when you want to invest in a new token. scam is just one that you have mentioned but whatever makes sense to you will end up in your portfolio and if that doesn't yield ROI for you then it's a liability which is not good for business.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 08, 2024, 08:21:00 PM
Definitely, it will hurt his career. I don't know why Joshua would pick up a fight with Francis after seeing how he dealt with Fury's face. I really don't like this move because it will be another match loss for Joshua, who wants his boxing career to be resurrected back to the boxing field after losing his world heavyweight title to Usyk twice(2021 and 2022).

Anyway, another man's downfall is a rise to the other. This is a win match for Francis against Joshual in my own opinion and it will help Francis's career in boxing since he left UFC for boxing.
In my own estimation, Francis is going to win. Looking at him and what he has done. For Joshua he looks like a shadow of himself. These two are my favorite African fighters and I know it really has nothing to do with boxing other than more money for both fighters. I do not know what will be next move for the both of them. Will Joshua retire is he loses? Will Francis build up momentum from this fiight should he win and try to see how far he will go in boxing since he left the UFC?

francis is also a skilled boxer. that's why it's not making sense when the bookmakers are presenting francis to be the underdog when in fact if we are to measure which of them has the hardest punch, everybody will pick him. they were just banking on who has more experience in boxing.

there could still be an upset but i would see francis winning almost 90% if he would just be careful with his strategy.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your go-to sports betting risk management strategies? on: March 08, 2024, 07:34:07 PM

hedging can be good since you have already the strategy to make wins. what i always do is a single parlay with just a few matches and then bet on single matches that i think i can sure win. with just a few USD on parlay and then give at least wage a little bigger on single bets.

arbitrage is for the very experts, very technical to me. and cashing out looks tempting but i would rather finish the game.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I just woke up and saw wins in my gambling app on: March 08, 2024, 06:35:39 PM

do you mean the sporty Nigerian bookie?
there is never an accurate prediction but people can do their analysis of the teams playing. It is a sport, you can think of it like the team is always matched to another team that could beat them.

you got lucky in the beginning so there is another chance for you to play again. If it is just luck for you then try your luck again but for sports lover, it could become his way to make money.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many satoshis are there per person in the world? on: March 08, 2024, 06:02:08 PM
wealth distribution has always been unfair for everyone. when you are born poor and turn into a self-made millionaire, you have done your job well in improving your life. to people with less opportunity, this is just a struggle, this is why we tend to migrate to other countries to work for it.

the internet is not even available in some parts of the country so i don't expect the adoption to spread quickly not everyone having 0.002 BTC.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 07, 2024, 08:30:47 PM
Francis Ngannou’s story is fascinating, I think Netflix will make a movie about him soon. For the Antony Joshua-Francis Ngannou fight, my favorite to win is Francis Ngannou. I watched his match against Tyson Fury and with all due respect to Tyson Fury, he was beat in the match and should not have been declared the winner. Francis Ngannou took the world by surprise on that fight, and his confidence is very strong. That being said, Anthony Joshua isn’t in the best of form and I don’t think he can defeat Francis Ngannou tomorrow.

somebody said about this who is also on his side in pushing back Dana White. his story being a poor boy from a poor country who used to be working in a mining company just shoveling sand and gravel now a millionaire in a country he migrated to.  its a fascinating story of success. but i think he needs to win against AJ for the world to see how he overcomes challenges in life. this is the kind of story that inspires someone from Africa.

i think he could KO AJ as early as 3rd round.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 07:13:56 PM
Anytime the price of Bitcoin skyrockets, there would be massive selling of Bitcoin and this practice(s) have always lead to the price of Bitcoin falling back afterwards. During the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs, it was observed that the massive selling of Bitcoin when the price got to $48,000 made the price to fall to $38,000, it was after the corrections that the price began to soar higher again till now that it has set a new ATH of about $69,210 and immediately, massive selling and withdrawal of Bitcoin was also noticed.

Wouldn't this continues practice of withdrawing and selling off whenever the price skyrockets going to slow the volatility of Bitcoin to continue skyrocketing? Since the price automatically starts experiencing a dip after every massive withdrawal.

What you said is right, OP but, In as much as that's the best time to hodl, so one's worth continues to increase, it's also just how the market works. Besides, not everyone sells off their Bitcoin and altcoins at this moment. Having Bitcoin at its ATH period is a factor and huge influence on people's wealth skyrocketing, but at the same time, not everyone sells and accepts Bitcoin, leading to the withdrawal and exchange for fiat currency.

those who sold their coins as early as now i think will regret it when they see the price goes more than 70k sooner. they are likely short-term investors but this is the time to become a long-term investor which makes sense because these investors are waiting for the effect of the halving.

those who withdraw BTC are among those who wants to hold and this makes BTC supply fewer and fewer in the circulation and the demand keeps rising and we all know what will happen in this case.
