Being delisted on cryptopia....whats next for swag?

Always thought the name and the blog were pretty cool, too bad the development has gone stagnant.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BITG] Bitcoin Green | Sustainable Bitcoin | POS | 85% MN | #savebitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 01:45:42 PM
been looking into this for a while and although i understand the pitfalls of PoW, how does Bitg differ from any other PoS currency out there?

Other than the fact that it has masternodes it doesnt differ from any other POS coin out there...it's really just another MN/POS coin that totes the benefits of POS.

Take Diamond (DMD) for example, they have transparent devs and have been around since 2013 as a POS energy efficient alternative to bitcoin, also they have masternode sharing and  24/7 support for masternodes.

Not trying to shill my signature coin, sorry about that. My point is that until BITG brings some of the things in their roadmap to fruition and become more transparent it will stand as a high risk investment. I don't think its an outright scam though, I may or may not be looking for big dips to get some  Wink.

Price is a little bit overvalued imo

The dev-team prestented itself 8 days ago already: https://twitter.com/btc_green/status/994382573949325312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoinmarketcap.com%2Fcurrencies%2Fbitcoin-green%2F

https://www.savebitcoin.io/team/

Thanks for that, merit given.

Team doesn't look bad, some depth for sure, will have to do more research on github and linked in.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: May 18, 2018, 03:56:44 AM
the team must start taking marketing measures, people buy shit without knowing anything about the factom, FCT it is a coin of the gods!
You strongly believe in this project. In my experience, I realized that you can not fall in love with the project, otherwise sanity is lost. Wink

I saw a member of a facebook group post pictures of his margin account after monero had its first huge run up, he had around 300 btc after selling around the new all time high. Granted this was back in 2016 so btc was alot less back then but  everyone was asking him "oh, how did you do it?" or "dang, you must be an awesome trader".....the guy responded pretty plainly with:

"I kept buying and stuck with a project that i knew was legit"

People always say you shouldn't fall in love or be emotionally attached to a project, but say that to the same person who just saw their coin that they have been buying and supporting for years go 100x....

Ya you can diversify all you want but the key to making massive amounts of bitcoin when trading alts is to have a lot of bitcoin into an altcoin before it goes parabolic (obviously) and then everyone else realizes..."Oh, ya that coin is legit, no wonder it's pumping so hard"...it's the long time supporters and hodlers that make the most when a coin goes parabolic....

As gruesome as it is right now for factom.....call me delusional if you want....I still think it has this parabolic potential.....even if not yall can suck it, the btc i put into fct when i bought it is worth so much more now that i break even anyway.  Tongue
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 03:01:15 AM
I want to know what happened to supernet and supernet holders?

It is only trading on barterdex, Komodos DEX and it's ANN has been locked. Can someone fill me in on what happened to everyone that was holding supernet?

Most new investors are clueless to how so many developers have worked on projects in the past and have abandoned them, I am not saying this is what happened to supernet thats why im here asking.

KMD is an amazing coin and has a huge upside considering it has more features then NEO, WAVES...all the ERC20s that dont even have a mainnet yet (EOS, Vechain ect ect)....but people need to know about mr. lee's past with supernet, nxt...and all the nxt assets he created.

445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New automated trading system on crypto exchanges. There is no monthly fee. on: May 17, 2018, 08:56:26 PM
So is this where they gather a ton of api keys then pump 1 coin with everyone's account? Similar to what happened to VIA on binance not long ago?

Not a whole bunch of information about this company when looking at the website... Huh
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for NEW POS Altcoin - passive income on: May 17, 2018, 08:09:51 PM
Hello guys, this is my first topic here.

I'm looking for a Proof of Stake altcoin for have some passive income. My goal is to find an emerging one and with low starting price < 1$.

Would be nice if I can buy a ton cheap and with the perspective of a value increment. Also the team should be presented, i'v avoided many altcoins because looks like scams, no team/linkedin in the website and no business number or references..

I know about lisk, komodo, navcoin, neo etc. but these are gone and can't afford that price.

I was looking for it these days but didn't find that much on the internet..

Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot!

You should look into masternodes instead, POS is great but you can make more by setting up masternodes and you don't have to keep your wallet open 24/7, also there is not stake maturity date. I used to stake alot but after i started setting up masternodes i never looked back, its such an easier way to make passive amounts of bitcoin (depending on your strategy).

https://masternodes.online/

There is a bit of a learning curve but it is well worth it.

448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Soniq - Platform for the Music Industry - Website and Whitepaper Released on: May 17, 2018, 07:17:03 PM
Well it's a swap from a previous coin, not sure if that coin was abandoned by the dev?

It's tough man, wish you guys all the best but yall definitely will not be first to market, there is a lot of competition already with blockchain music stuff.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Attention Token. on: May 17, 2018, 07:04:24 PM
I feel like it could have a run up like Steem did in 2016, it'a a really solid project and has recently dropped some big news partnerships.

Their browser addresses alot of issues with the current advertising model on the internet. Also the token has real utility built into the browser, and the browser is faster than chrome.

Don't believe David Hay, that dude hardly did any research.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: May 17, 2018, 04:29:41 PM
The development of steam is very slow? The site still lacks many things like notification system, integrated messaging system and composer and better plug-ins for third-party technology.

This is what everyone is saying, more features and eventually they need advertisements, I see a lot of people asking how their business model is sustainable?

I also wonder where they are going with these smart media token things (proof of brain?), we will see.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: May 16, 2018, 09:23:48 PM
NO, Zclassic was not a free coin / hardfork for Zcash users.. it was a code fork and a totally new coin that did NOT inherit ZEC transactions/UTXO

it only inherited the code MINUS the founders' tax, premine, slow start..

Hi, I've found this thread reading BlockchainForums, it's discussed there in relation to Zcash and Zencash https://blockchainforums.info/topic/388/zencash-vs-zcash-all-you-need-to-know/4

I was surprised by "20% Founders Reward is removed."
So really ZCash founders have 20% of ZCash (or had in the beginning)
For me that's a lot, especially considering the price of ZCash!
Definitely ZClassic has a room to grow!

iM sad but not surprised that the wikipedia article was removed, but there's a latest copy of it here, right before unfair DELETION: http://web.archive.org/web/20180322010119/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zclassic

Quote
Zclassic started as a fork of Zcash on November 5, 2016, eight days after Zcash's own release.

At launch, the only differences between them was that Zclassic waived the 20% miners fee for its founders, and supply was not artificially limited at its creation (i.e. no "slow start" for blocks). Zclassic kept the same defining parameters of Zcash, such as the use of the ASIC-resistant equihash timestamping scheme, and a total supply of 21 million units.

Great, thanks for additional info!
I didn't know that the difference was only 8 days. So probably Zcash owners do not have Zclassic amounts? (Like in Bitcoin Cash fork every Bitcoin holder receive same amount of Bitcoin Cash)..

So it pretty much just piggy backed of Zcash's name and toted the idea of a fair distribution even though that doesn't make it anymore viable to institutional investors.

Zcash got listed on gemini yall, institutional investors want to invest in projects where they know there are companies and organizations behind the open source project that will ensure it's growth.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STORM Token: Earn Free Cryptocurrency[ICO] on: May 16, 2018, 09:19:32 PM
Lackluster price action for bittrex addition, but guess it doesn't matter we back up over 500sats pretty easily and a couple days ago price pumped to 641sats on binance for a little bit...storm could probably rally to new highs leading up to the next airdrop.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THC] The Hempcoin (THC) on: May 16, 2018, 09:11:26 PM

Fake.

They are saying on reddit that the upgrade is tentative with the fork which they have no set date on yet. They are saying sometime in Q2, so they must not have all the details of the upgrade ironed out yet.

Hints they may up the collateral for a masternode...
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA will be #3 in market cap by the end of 2018 on: May 16, 2018, 03:25:51 PM
IOTA runs on DAG system. Other cryptocurrencies run on blockchain system. DAG system is quite different from blockchain system.  I prefer blockchain system more.
Because the blockchain system is more decentralized compared with IOTA which use the server to keep the decentralized of the network(they said this as decentralized)
Maybe the blockchain system charge the more fees compared with IOTA but all seem good for me compared with DAG which has controlled by developer.

It's somewhat debatable if the DAG is as decentralized as a blockchain, for instance people really argue that DASH is not decentralized because of the masternode system. You could apply this to the DAG model in a sense.

In my opinion arguing decentralization is kind of getting old and irrelevant, yes bitcoin is probably the most decentralized, but in every system that is argued to not be decentralized there would have to be suicidal players that want to lose tons of money to take down the system...not likely imo.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA will be #3 in market cap by the end of 2018 on: May 16, 2018, 02:25:43 PM
I believe IOTA is going to rise to near the top of all cryptocurrencies and reach #3 in market cap by the end of 2018. My prediction is based on several factors including:

1) Trinity wallet will soon be released
2) Recent partnerships and projects including Porche, Qubic, City of Taipei, electric charging stations, etc.
3) No fees for transactions
4) Unlimited scalability

If the top 10 cryptos in market cap stayed where they are. IOTA would need to get to about $10 per MIOTA to reach #3. We know many of those others will rise also, but I predict $20 for one MIOTA by the end of the year as their project get rolled out and the new wallet goes live. I think this will easily get it to #3.

Agree or disagree?

Sorry but I highly doubt top 3 will happen, to many flaws and red flags in the past. It may do well and increase in value but will never be a top 3 crypto.

Read this analysis from cypto hedge fund:

https://multicoin.capital/2018/01/23/iota-miota-analysis/

If hedge funds like this are coming to these conclusions then it will leave a void for institutional money coming in, then again retail money could push it way up but not top 3. Good luck
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: May 16, 2018, 02:00:44 PM
A lot of bullish sentiment but the truth is that steem has gotten no where near its ATH in bitcoin, not even close.

Starting to think that steem will never break 100k sats again, most of its users probably dont even look at the price in bitcoin anyways, always will be looked at in terms of $.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 15, 2018, 07:17:14 PM
The Gemini exchange, a creation of Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, has stated that it is supporting Litecoin (LTC), Zcash (ZEC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The development is an aftermath of the approval given by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

proof - ..the NYDFS has confirmed to Forbes that Gemini will also receive approvals for Bitcoin Cash, with a total market value of $25 billion and Litecoin..

Hopefully after the listing this will bring more liquidity to LTC, maybe some institutional investors will finally get involved.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Why investing in Altcoins is a good idea? on: May 15, 2018, 07:04:15 PM
Because you can increase your gains by two fold, your losses can be two fold as well but if you are LONG bitcoin, it doesn't really matter.

For example, you buy 1 btc for $1000, you take 1 btc and buy Ripple (XRP) at .00000500 satoshi

Then the price of Ripple goes to .00001000 for a 100% gain, NOW you have 2 btc

But while you are holding your Ripple, the price of Bitcoin goes to $2000

Now you're 2 btc are worth $4000, you made gains on you're bitcoin investment while not even holding it since most alt coins are tied to bitcoin.

459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: May 15, 2018, 06:56:51 PM
Disney? That's pretty big! As I've been saying for the longest time, some projects were meant for success. This is one of them.
Slightly off-topic – I LOVE that the title has no obnoxious emojis in it

You bring up a valid point. WHERE is the Proof that this coin is actually run by mega-giant Disney? Like, I know their whitepaper clearly says that, but where is it backed up?

If you look around you will find enough proof to know that it was incubated and rooted by disney tech, dragonchain itself is open source of course. But the company and i believe the foundation are rooted in disney...below is one article to get you started. DYOR

460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: May 15, 2018, 06:47:48 PM
Good reward system btw.
30 June 2018 (or earlier) A Coinbase Buy Widget in the LBRY app which enables Coinbase users to purchase BTC/LTC/ETH and convert it into LBRY Credits (from CMcalendar).
Hope the price will finally move till the date.

I like LBC, but IPBC is a very serious competitor.

IPBC is web based + uses IPFS which relies on other hosts. LBRY is probably the most decentralized and community driven (open source) of the content sharing projects. We hope to have a web based version of LBRY later this year/ early next year to provide an easier, web based access to users who don't want the full decentralized experience in app.

There we go, thats what LBRY really needs, an easy web based client for people to utilize. The community and specs of LBRY are great, but the price action is always lackluster  Sad

Hopefully later this year we can see a new up trend
