441  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 31, 2023, 04:30:44 AM
We all want to save money, but it's not always easy.
There are so many things that tempt us to spend, unexpected bills that pop up, and it can be hard to make ends meet.
How do you manage to save in a world that encourages spending? Let's talk about it.
Share your ideas, tips, and stories about saving money, and together, we can figure out how to get better at it. (We will also draw valuable lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others.)
Stay at home most often if you want to avoid expenses like eating on fancy restaurants, or shopping on malls. What you want to do today might not be the same thing tomorrow. That’s one way of saving. Also, live life within your means. Do not spend above your income, otherwise you’ll end up having a lot of debt. Lastly, learn to invest more than saving a lot. Your savings has rare chances to grow, but when you invest, your capital might be double or triple in time as long as you invest on those high potentials to succeed. Hence, you will be more capable to save if you have a sustainable investment on the side.
also needs to keep in mind though, investment doesn't necessarily always results in success, its essential to choose investment based on fundamental, the only investment thats safe are investment that gives really low yield or return, therefore investment like bank deposits and so on, don't expect to get rich from it but instead expect it to at least give additional capital growth on top of combating the curent inflation.
but whats more important is to increase income, can't expect to save because the salary increase right now aren't really on par with the inflation increase therefore the disparity between the price of the goods and our purchasing power will get more bigger and bigger, thats just how bad it is the current condition for people with low income, its just increasing income is the only way.
I agree. Don't be complacent for what you currently earn especially if you know that it's just enough for the monthly expenses. Looking for opportunity to have another source to earn money is always wise, this is to increase the earnings and to be able to save money. Anyway, I don't consider bank deposit as an investment since the annual interest is too low and not worth it (at least for me).

Hence, I better look for other opportunities to invest. Of course it's not going to be easy and there are times you'll fail, but keep trying and stick to an investment where you have knowledge about and not just you're taking risk without knowing what you're getting into. Nevertheless, always have self-discipline to control how you spend your money.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Profit And Conscience on: October 31, 2023, 03:03:06 AM
He thinks that with the lotto outlet, he will encourage people to gamble which is against his morals so it is a battle between his conscience and the profit.

So what's the best decision to take he is afraid if he lets go of this opportunity the lotto agent will eventually find a location in their place and eventually lose the opportunity to make a profit.
Your friend needs to choose what's more important, is it the profit or his moral? Profit means more income so it depends on his status. If it's urgent and he already need a renter to have a source of income then there's no point to hesitate.

However, if his conscience is bothering him then he can refuse. For sure he can still find a renter that will pays him well especially the location of his property is good for business. That's why this depends on his personal reasoning because regardless of what we advice, in the end, the decision is still up to him.
443  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: October 31, 2023, 01:16:38 AM
Yes it will mate , the more we bumped this is the more it will appear in search engine so even outside our forum , people will be warned of potential outcome of their money if they engaged and deposit in this scammers.
1xbit has been sinking for a long time now and Bitcointalk is easily one of the reasons responsible in this context if you think about it. Google 1xbit scam and you will find Bitcointalk in the top-5 search results which says a lot.

You are right, I did google 1xbit and the second result after trust pilot  which is the first, was from this forum, and it points to this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5435921.0.

When it comes to the downfall of 1xbit and their scam activities, this forum did greatly contribute to that, most possible as the forum is also SEO friendly.

Quote

Wish the same could be done about 1xbet, but they don't really have a presence in this forum and they are way bigger to take down in comparison.
Well, I really don't know what to say here, like I have said in my previous comments about 1xbet, i have played on this casino for several months without issues, and I also have friends who have been playing on this casino for a long time without issues, if they are actually a scam casino like 1xbit, I honestly do not know and can not judge .
The arm robber in the compound and the society who has been terrorizing around the area is not very bad for everyone. The stolen money was also used to dash people and some collected it while some rejected it. And also the wicked man is not wicked for all. What am I trying to say is that, 1xbit is a business firm therefore they will not steal from all the customers but few. So you are among the lucky ones. The scam accusations I have seen against 1xbit are many.
Indeed. Just a simple google search can explain why 1xbit is a platform that gamblers should avoid. Plenty of scam accusations against this site remain unresolved and gamblers have no way to get back their money. Because if they're not scam then they will do something to resolved the issues but they did nothing.

Thus, it's crucial for new gamblers (who are looking for a gambling platform to play in) to conduct their own research and not be attracted on promotions or offers of 1xbit. So choose a casino with good reputation.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 30, 2023, 08:35:02 AM
My game start by just betting minimum bet on a blackjack table with my initial deposit of 85$ which is my signature campaign earning last week. I lose my initial bank roll with just few bets on consistent losses. I decided to deposit again but this time with higher bankroll which is 250$. I bet twice the minimum bet this time since my bankroll is higher, the result is much terrible loss.

Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.
Chasing losses is not a good idea because of the high possibility to lose more money. The typical approach is to stop and refrain from trying to recover it back. I experienced this before so I know exactly the feeling and the pressure that didn't end up well.

In your situation, you're still lucky to recover your loss and even managed to profit from the last deposit. The good thing about this experience is, you realized that it is dangerous that trigger you to deposit more and became out of control in placing bets.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: October 30, 2023, 04:48:09 AM

Online gambling should be an avenue to serve us right with gambling services to the best satisfaction that we may desire because of the conveniencies it offers, knowing that despite the risk involved, what we gain from gambling is far better than the risk involved or the money lost at the cause because our happiness while gambling is first thing to consider, we got entertained, avoid being greedy or mistakes and gamble as appropriately expected.

But I believe nobody gets happy when they lose their money even with the entertainment of watching whatever game gambled upon. If I gamble on my favourite team to win and they are losing, somehow it is not only the team that is losing I will be angry about but also the money especially if you have gambled alot of money.

Therefore, happiness in gambling is achieved if your bet is winning but if it is not, no source of happiness is achieved. No matter the entertainment, at the moment you won't be happy. You might see such entertainment if you rewatch the game especially football match.
It's understandable to be unhappy when your bet didn't win. But that's how gambling works, you can't expect your bet to win often, right? Most of the time you'll lose (depending on how knowledgeable you are in sports betting). There are gamblers who are still satisfied even they lose playing in casino games (slots, dice, live games etc.) because they are aware that losing their money is likely to happen so they already prepared themselves. You might be right that happiness is only achieved if you win but what about satisfaction? If you're not getting it in gambling, don't you think it's time to find other hobby to satisfy yourself? (and you're happy at the same time).
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: October 30, 2023, 02:34:41 AM
Lotteries are games of chance and luck and in every 100 lottery ticket buyers, 99 will lose and only 1 can be lucky to win, this is how hard the lottery is to win and that is why i personally view and take the lottery as the most real gambling since everything entirely depends on luck and nothing else and at some point we have to be proactive in some of the approaches we conceive around all of this things and how best we allow them to interfere with what we do most times and how we select our lottery tickets number and our expectations around it.
This is the reason why everytime I buy lottery ticket (because I have numbers in mind) I consider it as a throw away money since the chance to win is close to impossible. However, even that is the case it's not a pain to try our luck especially the ticket is not expensive to have a regret if you didn't win, well at least you try. Therefore it's not really a waste that we buy ticket instead of buying food, because you'll never know what's going to happen and who knows your bought ticket might change your life. Just don't get your hopes high.
447  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment on: October 30, 2023, 01:12:57 AM

Kaya inga't-ingat nalang talaga.

Sila yung dapat i educate na walang easy money. So ingat-ingat kung ayaw mong maging isa sa biktima ng pang i scam dahil lang sa kagustuhang kumita ng malaki kahit walang ginagawa.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anti-Gambling Tools on: October 29, 2023, 10:16:24 AM
I'm curious if any of you have faced a similar situation and if there are tools or methods you've found effective in controlling crypto gambling. It feels like most platforms lack daily limits or deposit controls, making it a bit challenging to stay on track.
I've experienced to become out of control in gambling before, and the effective solution to me is to stay away on the things that can tempt me to gamble. I went to a place away from city and gadgets so that there's no way to access an internet. This is an alternative solution if you want to control yourself or completely get rid of your gambling habit.

In the end you're the only one who can help yourself. Because even someone advice you of ways that can help to lessen or stop playing for good, if you have no discipline and you can't control yourself then nothing will happen.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: October 29, 2023, 06:26:08 AM
We have different perspective regarding this so it depends on your own view since we have our own way of thinking. Anyway, IMO it will be called you're greedy, if you already had more losses and that's your chance to get some, yet you still push through, that's greed. However, if you're fine regardless of the result and still want to continue that's taking risk so it depends on the situation. The point is as long as it's your own money that you didn't owe to anyone then I don't see a problem.

If it's me I better cash it out rather than continue. Because this amount is already there, should I let this pass by? I don't know what would be the next result and it can turn to worse therefore I will not hesitate to cash out.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 29, 2023, 03:09:26 AM
I think we need to understand how we intend to play safe so we can have a clean winning. Gambling has been a good alternative for us earn some profits for ourselves if we are true gambler. For us to earn clean bets as a gambler, we need bet on games that we are skilled at not minding to try our hands in tempting games that cannot guarantee our winnings. We need to establish a good mindset when we bet and also work on our strategies to hasten the process for us to make winnings. We all want to make winnings but we don't have to become too desperate so it not going to affect us later.
You are probably referring to sports betting because none of what you said applies to gambling games, there is no way for you to be a true gambler and have clean winnings in gambling games, it is absolutely not an alternative to earn profits or money, and there are no skills that one can master that will help them get guaranteed wins. However, some of these things can be said for sports betting such as skills required, true gambler in the sense that you are a true follower of the sport you are betting on, and it can also be an alternative to earn some money if you are actually skilled and experienced in it.

There are gamblers that I know who earn at least some profits every month from sports betting, and it might sound easy to say but it isn't. A sports bettor has to take care of a lot of things like comparing the odds of a match that was lost with the one they are betting on, and how they need to use their bankroll, etc.
I agree. Skills and knowledge are your edge if sports betting are your choice in gambling. The profits are still not guaranteed but having a knowledge can increase the chance to win the game. Therefore it's not entirely relying on luck (compared to casino games) though of course it is still necessary since upset can also happen.

Anyway, gambling is not really an alternative to make money, and those who have high hopes to win when playing might experience the struggles of accepting the outcome. Losing is inevitable hence a gambler should be aware of this fact before deciding to use his/her money in gambling.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 29, 2023, 01:57:43 AM
We have threads here about people betting millions of dollars on sports battings and other games in casinos and the amount of money is insane, they can bet millions of dollars on one team and they easily forget everything and bet another millions.

I doubt if we have high rollers who will admit, that having a lot of money means you cannot satisfy your ego or that your level of enjoyment is high that you will need to bet millions of dollars just to fulfill your dopamine level.
Whale gamblers can easily spend their money in gambling and move on because that amount (worth millions bet) is what they set solely meant for leisure. They can spend more to satisfy themselves, but not all rich people have such mindset. Because even some rich do gamble, they only spend less just for entertainment.

If i'm rich, I won't spend my fortune in gambling just for my ego. I will gamble just like others who wants to try the game, have fun but not with a main desire of gaining huge. Because that's hard to achieve in gambling hence much better to gamble with set amount.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 29, 2023, 12:39:52 AM
I've always assumed that most casino streamers were playing with sponsored money. If somebody loses thousands of dollars in a day and comes back to gamble again the next day as if nothing happened wouldn't that seem odd? We see it with crypto youtubers also. They will put on an exaggerated performance to sell you all kinds of products and after a dozen or so rugpulls they still act like the thing they're shilling for is the greatest thing ever. Anytime there is a sponsorship involved with streamers it is very likely you are going to see a curated experience designed to attract new users to a product and not a genuine representation of what an average user might typically see.
Indeed. These streamers are sponsored or given a credit to play a certain game to lure the people on how to play and win. They're getting traffic for doing so that is beneficial to the casino and to them too as they're well paid. Using a streamer to spread awareness is also a marketing strategy to attract the gamblers thinking it's not hard to win.

Therefore it's up to their followers if they going to believe or not because what you see is not often the case when you already tried it yourself.
453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: October 27, 2023, 07:47:19 AM
It is not a problem for a trader to make losses but when he starts trading without basic knowledge and experience, he may leave the trading platform. There are some traders who make mistakes and learn from the mistakes and continue trying to succeed but there are some new traders who don't want to learn by himself and when they get hurt they leave the platform. If one leaves without acquiring knowledge, one must understand that he has been defeated. If a person tries to know then surely he can learn even if it takes more time. Trading is not a simple subject that someone can learn very easily. So a beginner trader need to be patience.
There are weak traders who are easily discourage when they failed in trading. It's understandable if they don't want to continue and will just decide to quit since we have different mindset and approach when we trade.

However, if you're this kind of trader who can't stand having an experience where you lose then you can't learn. Knowledge is a must in trading and experience will give a lesson to be a successful trader. Trading might not be suited for all, but isn't it better to try first? Than quitting at an early stage.
454  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 27, 2023, 02:37:52 AM
It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
When we say rich it means you have more than enough. Financially stable that one doesn't need to work because money already works for him/her. But the definition of rich for me is not entirely focus on money. For me, being free to any illness, having sufficient finances to provide for our needs and a complete family are my own definition of being rich. So we can say we're rich if we have contentment. It's just depends on how we define this word.
455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 27, 2023, 12:52:09 AM
One of my older brothers bought bitcoin with that money, instead of keeping it in the bank, about 6 months ago, the price of bitcoin was 24-25k+, and he bought about 1 BTC. The price of bitcoin has increased to 34K+. In just 6 months, he has made a profit of 9k+ dollars, which would have taken more than 20 years to get from the bank.
Your brother is fortunate to buy at the right time before the price increased. Did he sell already or he's still holding? Timing is crucial if you invest in Bitcoin. However, sometimes it might take a long period before the price recover. We can be in bearish season for months or years and this requires an investors to have patience.

we can make a lot of income by buying or trading bitcoin with the right rules. I think bitcoin is a bright future for us.
Bitcoin has a bright future but it doesn't mean we should rely solely in our income here since we don't know what lies ahead. Therefore, just do it as your side hustle (since it's not a profession for you to build a career), still better to have a main source of income.
456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $BTC soar beyond 35K or dip below? 🚀📉 on: October 26, 2023, 07:43:41 AM
Bitcoin is already ranging to $33k to $34k so it's not too long before the price rise over $35k. But this depends on the investors view regarding what's best to do with their Bitcoin.

Is it to take profit? since the price took a bit long before it reached this value again. Or hold? Due to the near halving and the spot Bitcoin etf thing that can influence the price positively. Anyway, it's going to move upward (and possibly surpass the last ATH), though we can't predict accurately when it will going to happen.
457  Local / Pilipinas / Re: When do you think is the next bull run will start, and why? on: October 26, 2023, 02:15:59 AM
2025.
Yan yung karamihan sa mga guess na nababasa ko at parang yan din yung nasa pattern na cycle na year of halving + 1 year para sa bull run.
Katulad noong mga nakaraang bull run halving.

2016 = halving + 1 year = 2017 bull run
2020 = halving + 1 year = 2021 bull run

Kaya baka ang mangyari ay.

2024 = halving + 1 year = 2025 bull run
Pagkatapos ng halving hindi naman agad-agad bull run na. It takes time bago natin makita ang resulta.

458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: October 26, 2023, 12:24:47 AM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
It's not advisable to buy when the price is already increasing but it depends on you if you can bear the risk. Just conduct a research what coins you would like to include in your portfolio. Then wait if you made the right decision of buying when it is already rising since correction can happen at anytime.

This is the problem for investors who don't buy during dip, when there's a recovery that's when they become interested to join the ride. If you're a real investor, you'll know that during dip is the right time to fill our bags.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 25, 2023, 05:20:12 AM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?
It doesn't make any sense. Even it's a close friend (or a family) I won't give money to finance his gambling activity knowing how risky it is. Moreover what if he lose? What's the deal? It's hard to earn money so it's not wise to just lend it to someone who asked you. Well, l might consider if he will use it for investment or business, but in gambling? I'll say no.

Because gambling is not a source to earn, therefore if your main reason for playing is to gain, you're treating it wrong. If he's confident to win then he can use his own money so he can enjoy his profit alone.
460  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 25, 2023, 03:26:59 AM

that is a really frequent discussion in this topic
it comes and goes but it's often here

most of the times the comment is: KYC is useless but the house makes its rules and if you want to play you have to abide by them.

simple as that

This is a never ending discussion in many topics. I wouldn’t say that KYC is always useless as in some cases I can get why casinos want to check it (especially if you want to withdraw a big amount). But a lot of casinos are trending to asking KYC so we just need to adapt and live it.
Nowadays it's not surprising for casinos to require their customers to verify their identity. But still, many gamblers are hesitant to undergo this procedure since they don't want to disclose their private informations and that is understandable.

However, it's inevitable if you're playing in a regulated casino and lucky to win a huge amount. Therefore this should not be an issue especially if you read the ToS of the casino, it's written on it (if you take time to read their rules).
