441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Affiliate Program Problem on: December 25, 2023, 03:47:55 PM
As long as the gambling site you are promoting through your referral link is legit, you should be able to receive the reward for your effort. Legitimacy of the site should be the first thing you have to look at, then if you had already verified that, you should try to improve your starategy on how to become an effective Affiliate Program partner. Maybe try to look for youtube videos, search some articles that will help you so you'll reach your goal.

This isn't an easy journey to be honest, having a social media accounts with decent number of followers might be helpful as well, as you can influence them to sign up under your referral program. I hope you'll study more as the way I read your question, it seems like you are still a newbie in affiliate marketing.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 02:50:22 PM

Tapales is underestimated, that's not surprising at all as anyone who would fight Inoue would always end up a heavy underdog in the bookies market.

Right now all of Inoue's opponents in his weight division are underestimated because nobody comes close to beating him, Donaire was the closest opponent but on their second fight Inoue knocked him out, Tapales in his last fight, he did not show a performance that can equal Inoue's skill and power, I hope he can put a good fight and Inoue will not hurt him like he did to Donaire.
The fight will be held tomorrow, it is the best gift for both boxers, the winner takes everything, prestige, all the titles if the fight proves to be close there could be a rematch, so let's see how the fight will turn out to be I'm hoping that Tapales could be the one to give Inoue the toughest fight of his life or beat him

Tapales is no exemption of being part of the too underestimated opponents of Inoue. Judging by the betting odds of his fights, you can see how sportsbook sees Inoue as a heavy favorite, this kind of odds looks like a sure winner already.

Inoue is a -400 favorite vs Fulton
Inoue is a    -8,000 favorite vs Butler
Inoue is the -800 favorite vs Donaire (2).

Inoue is -1400 in this fight while Tapales is +800.
https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/naoya-inoue-vs-marlon-tapales-fight-prediction-odds-start-time-undercard-preview-expert-picks/

That's a huge temptation there if you go with the side of Tapales. Bookies do set their lines based on their previous performance of both boxers, and since Inoue has won all his fights via domination, while Tapales won via upset, you know bookies would just make Inoe more favored.

Compared to Donaire, which Inoue is just -800 favorite, so bookmakers sees Donaire is a better fighter than Tapales. I'm sure Tapales sees this already, if he believe in himself that he can win, he might try to bet on himself to gain more money, but he should not make it public as I think it's against the boxing rules.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 25, 2023, 01:59:45 PM

I'm still tore though, I wanted to put a bet on the Warriors as they seems to found a second wind without Draymond Green. But it's true they are struggling in the road and with one of the best team in the West in Nuggets, it's hard to imagine them winning or maybe that point spread is not going to be huge.
That's a +7 if you will go with the handicap, if the Warriors will lose, there's still a chance for them to cover the spread.
For awhile, maybe forget how good the Denver are. Instead, try to look at the other side, and that is by looking at the win streak of the Warriors which is already at 5. IMO, that's already enough to consider in taking the points if you aren't too confident with the moneyline.

Let's see, it's hard to guard Jokic, although they have this kid Trayce Jackson-Davis who might be a good match against Jokic.

But I'm seeing that Jokic will just bring this kid into school if ever the Warriors are going to to put him against Jokic.

At least it's not only Trayce Jackson-Davis that can guard him, there's still looney and other big guys who could guard him. Warriors needs to have a good 3 piont shooting, that way, they'll probably make it a close game. I'd love to bet on the Warriors but I won't be able to see this since it's stoo early in my timezone, so I'll just watch the replay and pass on betting.
444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is merit necessary for my survival here on: December 24, 2023, 09:51:57 PM
If it's only for survival, merits do not matter. But having that mindset does not manifest personal growth and progress, it's like you exist without benefits. And I won't chose to be that way forever. If there are certain ways to develop growth, then I would take the risk, and that's where earning merits becomes necessary.

Don't just think of your own benefits, but consider other's welfare as well. The forum is made for positive and constructive interaction, so at least do your part so you can contribute something worthy to the forum.
445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you use platforms offering AI help for crypto trading in 2024? on: December 24, 2023, 08:55:00 PM
Hi guys! Happy holidays! Just wanted to know if you're planning on using AI bots and such technologies to boost your crypto profits in 2024. And now that I'm talking about this, I'm curious if you've already started to use AI for taking trades.
I have plans for AI to use it to some other matters but not in crypto. I still don't see it being reliable when it comes to future trading results. I still prefer my own knowledge and skills to be apply when trading, at least I know my capability is. Trading is never fixed and remains uncertain ever since, and trusting AI for your trading funds would only create a bigger risk.

However, I have high hopes that AI will work in time. Most probably it needs a longer time before we will see AI being valuable in trading.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 24, 2023, 07:42:56 PM
The value of Bitcoin has gradually reached great heights. It has become impossible for a new small investor like me to invest in Bitcoin. I am a very small investor. $2k wealth is mine. Well does Bitcoin provide any opportunity in future that I can invest.
Well, it's really hard to start investing if you are trying to perceive the whole bitcoin price. But if you look at its positive side and would act more practical, you can start buying even a small fraction of it. Bitcoin's value is never count as a whole, but even from the very small part of its coin. So learn to buy at a minimal amount, and then you can increase your position when you think you're capable enough.

If others who are not earning at a maximum wages have already succeeded investing in bitcoin, then why can't you? It's only a matter of understanding bitcoin that every single portion counts.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted on: December 24, 2023, 03:36:38 PM
I think people will be more prone to addiction when gambling online. That is for the reason that it's easier to fund online gambling and you can gamble anytime and anywhere you want, so as it is so convinient, we are more expose to gambling. That's why we have to be responsible enough as in this generation, everything can be mostly done online, in fact, even kids nowadays can already learn to gamble online since some of the gambling sites doesn't recquire a KYC information and documents.

But please, be responsible, gambling is just a tool, if we make a mistake and get addicted, it's always on us, don't blame gambling on that but blame yourself for being irresponsible, that's very simple.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 24, 2023, 10:51:10 AM
Ja Morant's impact is definitely being recognized.
Memphis is still perfect since he came back, this game he scored 30 points from a very efficient FG percentage.
Looks like the swag Memphis is back, with Ja Morant their leader of course, they might suprise the teams who have a higher standing than them as they are slowly rising now.

We don't have games tomorrow but there will be Christmas games the next day.
Good luck to everyone and Happy Holidays.

We need to have a break for a while, spend time with our family and enjoy our winnings. For those who aren't, at least we can minimize our losses.  Grin
449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow the technique if you have zero trading knowledge in crypto on: December 23, 2023, 08:58:31 PM
I hate to say this but I think following one's technique will never be effective if you know you have no trading knowledge in the first place. You will not even understand how to perform the technique and expect success after trading. If you have zero trading knowledge, then do not rush into trading but know the basics first in trading and increase your knowledge about it. That should always be the first and foremost concern for traders.

Skills and techniques should always go together, aside from knowledge which is the first requirement.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 23, 2023, 01:50:40 PM
I always believe that sports betting can make people make a lot of money, I don't want to say that gambling makes people millionaires, because for me no one who gambles gets rich, because the rich are still the bookies.
When you say a lot of money, that's sure "a lot", so it could be millions or billions. Depending on how much you can risk, that's the basis on how much you can make in gambling. What OP posted was just an example, it's a typical bet type of small bettors who want to go big with small wager, that x1000 regardless on how much you'll bet, you still end up with the same chance, a slim chance only.

There are two things to make money in gambling, it's through luck or skills, i prefer skills as that will consistently bring profit.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 23, 2023, 12:49:48 PM
The absence of Bradley Beal brought significant misfortune to the team. That athlete is paid a fourth of the team budget and but is always absent from their matches. If it was spent on a quality bench maybe the Suns is not in the bottom.

That wasn't really the biggest problem of the team, Bradley Beal even barely played this season and yet Suns were winning, either with Booker or Durant playing or both of them are on the floor. Let's just say they were struggling now but I'm sure they'll figure that out, they are 3-7 in their last 10, same with the Lakers who are 4-10 and are on a 4 losing streak, but we didn't conclude them as a bad team as whether we like it or not, this team is still a playoff team and I'm sure both teams will qualify this season.

453  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: December 21, 2023, 07:59:35 PM
Failed marriages do not only happen because of lack of financial structures before they enter marriage. That is just one of the factors. It could be that both individuals failed to manage their differences that's why they cannot work as one, otherwise they'll only end up fighting because of their different life's concepts.

However, I have to agree that having stable financial structures before marriage is a great factor that would make marriage highly works. Let's just admit that money is almost the source of everything nowadays. I hate to say it but it's how money have become very manipulative of us. And if these married individuals have no stable source of income, that will make their marriage becomes compromised until it end ups failed and broken.
454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 21, 2023, 07:28:02 PM
That's how the crypto influencers online affect the newbies in trading believing that trading will make them instantly rich, even without sufficient knowledge and skills. When in reality, trading will make them poorer if they enter the market trading with high greed and without patience to wait for the market to become favorable to trade. They put their future in trading, that's why once they decide to trade, they make sure to trade at a huge amount, and end up seeing them losing. When it happens, they blame the market all of a sudden, and believe that crypto trading is a big scam.
455  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big buying opportunity might be on the horizon on: December 21, 2023, 01:52:40 PM
So what if Bitcoin ETF will not be approved this time? That does not mean that it will stop bitcoin from reaching its new all time high. However, the time to get there might be a little bit extended due to Bitcoin ETF failure but no worries, patience is the key.

Now, if Bitcoin ETF will be denied, that will eventually create an immediate effect on its price, and definitely newly investors will love it because it opens new opportunity for them to enter the market. With how bitcoin halving is fast approaching, majority of the long term hodlers are looking forward into it, leaving bitcoin ETF failure not a big issue anymore.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teofimo Lopez Vs. Jamaine Ortiz WBO Welterweight Title February 8 on: December 21, 2023, 11:41:46 AM
Looking at their record and of course their attitude in the ring , this is a Lopez advantageous fight because he has a large numbers of knock outs while Ortiz has only few .

and watching their fights now, I finally convinced that this is a lopez bout to win unanimously .

Before Teofimo gained popularity, everyone was talking about Lomachenko, as he was a top pound-for-pound fighter in the past. So, whoever beats him is already considered a great fighter. Regarding Loma's record, I would only count his two losses as they occurred during his prime. Only two boxers were able to defeat him: Haney and Teofimo. It's pretty obvious that Teofimo, being a champion, is a high-caliber kind of boxer, so Jamaine Ortiz is unlikely to win, unless Teofimo goes emotional and losses his focus.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 21, 2023, 09:29:06 AM
Too bad they didn't make a come back. Celtics despite playing a back to back game still win the game by 25 points. I guess Kings has to evaluate themselves, they should be more ready against a team like Celtics because they are very dominant and without improving their defense, they would struggle.

Celtics scored 144 points in a game, too much offense there.

Based on my experience, live betting lines like that end up to be a trap. If Celtics was against a bad team, then I'd gladly take the live betting, but we know that Kings is a team that could come back, so most likely it was able to attract a lot of bettors. +7.5 live from -3.5 before the game, you could think of it as a steal, (so that's the trap).
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Michael Jordan a gambling addict ? on: December 21, 2023, 09:00:23 AM
MJ would be broke already if he is addicted with gambling. No matter how rich a person is, as long as he is addicted with gambling, all his money will be gone in just a short period of time. However, since we only hear news that MJ gambles a lot of money, but his finances is still fine, there's no reason to assume that he is a gambling addict. The right words are, he loves to gamble, that's it.

I did a quick google search about his net worth, and the result figure is $3 billion. So he is far from being addicted, probably spending a lavish lifestyle but he deserve that as he is making lots of money especially from his own brand Jordan shoes.

most of his income really came from Nike, and as per report, he made billions from it.

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/michael-jordan-made-nike-contract-revenue-net-worth/tahhp5y8wneeljjrdhqgpkg9
Quote
In 1997, Jordan and Nike launched Jordan Brand, his own sub-division of Nike. According to Centuro Global, as of 2020, Jordan has made $1.3 billion from his Nike deal.

You can also see on the same article that his overall salary from NBA is just less than $100 million.
459  Economy / Economics / Re: How to gain money on: December 20, 2023, 10:41:19 PM
One can gain money through working hard, and maximizing every job opportunities that will compensate good amount of profits. And when you're capable enough to enter investment, then take the risk and invest in bitcoin for long term. Then follow DCA because that is the most effective crypto strategy to accumulate a lot without forcing yourself to spend a lot at a single time.

Gaining money is not actually hard if you have the opportunities to make money. But if there are no opportunities around, then don't wait for it but make your own opportunity to make money and save some of them for future use and for emergency funds.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Succeeded in introducing Bitcoin to a friend on: December 20, 2023, 09:26:01 PM
My question now is that is it wise that I showed him the amount of Bitcoins I have accumulated before he developed interest?

It is not a bad decision to introduce people to Bitcoin because you are indirectly promoting Bitcoin adoption. But you have to give them the right information and also teach them how to keep their Bitcoin safe. Although this condition is relative to my location, I don't like telling people that I own Bitcoin because it could attract criminals such as armed robbers, kidnappers and fraudsters. Most people in my area don't know that Bitcoin can be bought in bits so they assume that you own one Bitcoin and above if they know that you own the coin. This has made me keep my hodling secrets and only discuss Bitcoin with fellow Bitcoiner.

Now to your question,  I don't think you had to show him how much you have accumulated or how much profit you have made to attract him to the sector. This might make him see Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme which is a wrong perception. He should be able to understand the Bitcoin space before investing to avoid regrets.
Most likely, his friend was really thinking that bitcoin is a get rich quick that time when he agreed to invest in bitcoin as well. Because if not, he should have tell him that he will research first about bitcoin and think a hundred times whether to invest or not. But because of what he seen in the wallet, his decision to invest has become abrupt.

OP, what you did only bring danger to your bitcoin. You said you had never seen your friend for such a long time so you really are not sure that time what he's been into. He might be a scammer or a fraudster. Sometimes, what you didn't expect tends to happen to instead. So do not be too trusting even to your friends. You do not know what they are capable of doing when you're not already around.
