1341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: November 25, 2022, 09:55:49 PM
There's a reason why a lot of successful traders use algorithms/bots/scripts to execute their trades — it's to take as much emotion as possible out of the picture.
I get a good point, you are correct on this. Basically, uncontrolled emotions can make traders lose money in the market, whether it's in futures or spot trading. Emotion management is a must have for every trader, but if they use tools like bots then it will be very helpful.

Watching market volatility during trading will allow anyone to lose control of their emotions, especially if the market is undergoing a sharp correction.
If you jump in trading without even gaining knowledge and insights at first, then you will surely struggle in trading and find it hard to fight with your emotions. So if you keep on trading along with your emotions, you will never be successful and profitable in the end. The hardest part in trading is to trade while controlling your own emotions, and for me even pros in trading still fall on this which makes it very hard to fight.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Chinese Man Won $29,392,922.00 & Refused to tell His Wife and child on: November 25, 2022, 09:38:20 PM
What do say about this kind of man?
If this is true, I always dislike this kind of people with stupid mentality of poorness. We have discussed this in the past, I think last month, but I could not remember which thread it is. This kind of people should know that some people's children are rich because their parent was rich, I think people that got no money in the past should know that. A wife living with him for long and having children with him, not letting her know when she is worthy to know about it is perfectly not only a wrong decision but also a very stupid decision.
If he wants to stay poor forever, then I just hope that he should also think about his wife and his child if they want to live poor the whole time. Because if he is good and responsible enough, he should consult his wife first and both plan on what to do with the money. But what he did is really stupid, donating is good but we should also take consideration if the money will be mostly needed by the family or not.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 25, 2022, 09:23:28 PM
Cock fighting is a kind of gamble that bet is placed on the two cocks whereby if cock A wins all cock A supporters wins. It is a legalize gamble in some part of Asia

In the westside of my country during sallah, the Muslims buy rams for celebration, if the ram is bought before the day it will be slaughtered, one of the youth in the family will secretly take this ram out to the field were other Muslim people are with their rams for gambling.

It use to be fun when you see this ram nodding themselves to the extent that some rams might even die at the process of fighting and some rams will lose their horns. Money is been made at this period because so many gamblers will go there to stake on a ram in other to make profit

This kind of gambling is always fun because these animals fights in the circle of human, have you been involved in this kind of animal gambling or have you watched such game before. Can such game be in the casino?
I don’t think cockfighting should be more encouraged to be in casinos because it’s another form of animal cruelty. Those who only feed them so they can also fight when they’re mature and good enough, for me that is still not a good practice. That is why I never let myself engross with cockfighting cause i can’t stand on it seeing those two cocks fight for each other just for the people’s greediness for money.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 24, 2022, 09:58:07 PM
I will certainly be choosing sports betting as I was exposed more to it than others. And not only that, I was choosing this because my chances of winning it were a little bit high than the lottery and card games. If fact, winning a bet in sports is not just a matter of luck but we have the chance to bet on the team base on their performance, not by a wild guess like the lottery. However, not all sports I have to bet on, I was just particular about basketball.
It’s really an advantage when you’re good into sports so sportsbetting should be the perfect choice. Our background from the sport will be a great edge so we can win from sportsbetting aside from luck that we should also have. And even if you’re good at one sport only, then focus your bet on it and never go random betting to avoid future losses.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 24, 2022, 09:45:10 PM
In life we have different folks with different likes and preference. There are people that chosed to go into business as businessmen from scratch and turned out to be business tycoons and movers and shakers of the industries with some few years in business.

While on the other hand some other person chosed to be employees as in working for those that owns business organisations/companies and yet still made it in life to an enviable climax. Perhaps cause that's what they love and have enthusiasm for rather than being an entrepreneur which perhaps might not have worked out well for their career eventually.

Either way, be it a business owner or an employee there are some other people who venture into either of them made no success too. Life can be somehow unfair, right? No! Life isn't unfair, for that's how the cosmos works. So everyone can't just win on a particular thing, definitely not everyone  Smiley

Now let's have a discussion about it all, for between being an employee to work for some other person's establishments/organization/company  and rather taking time/years to establishing your own company and not working under an employer but rather you being the employer, which will you chose and please ensure to back up your choice with reasonable thoughts, as it could be a guide to some other person's that might be reading this tread.

Let's begin!
I’ll chose as an employee first and when I think I’ve already learned enough and have build my own confidence, then i’ll be ready for a higher level of venture, and that is to become a boss or an employer. This way, my experience as an employee will help me make it through and I know with smart people that I’m also with, success will eventually come later on.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 24, 2022, 09:23:28 PM
I'm actually more curious whether there is an obligation for lottery winners to be documented when giving prizes? If not, then my guess is just for fun.

As for why he hid his winnings from his family, it could be that he had evil intentions with the money he got, meaning to enjoy it for himself, it is better to educate the family to be able to use money properly than to hide it just because of fear of his wife and children being lazy, hopefully not something bad happened to him because it could be that neither he nor his family ended up enjoying anything because of stupid reasons like that
Most probably, he will use the money for another purpose like investing into something that his family is not aware to. So that if he fail, there will be no regrets coming from his family, and if he succeed, that’s the time he will tell his wife about it. But in my personal opinion, I would not hide from my family especially when it comes to huge amount of money. They deserve to know everything about it.
1347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: November 23, 2022, 09:58:58 PM
As 2022 is almost coming to an end and haven't been around this forum for a couple of months now, I have learn two vital lessons this year that will guide my journey in the cryptocurrency space.
THE TWO LESSONS
1: I will never trust an exchange, most especially centralized exchanges e.g FTX Binance, etc.
2: never n trust any other coin aside from Bitcoin for long-term goals, most especially the highly centralized altcoin as there are open to external influence just like centralized exchanges are also exposed to external influence.
So I am led to the conclusion that, cryptocurrency is not the problem, but centralization and the human factors are the major set back in the young fast-growing cryptocurrency industry
Cryptocurrency is always considered a potential asset but it will only be useless if we store them in those unreliable exchanges that anytime can be hacked and lost everything we store in it. The best option is to store them in a cold storage that is not connected in the internet. And definitely, always chose bitcoin as your first choice of investment because that is the most potential asset in the crypto market.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 22, 2022, 09:39:53 PM
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

"All in" is usually a mistake. No matter what, surprises can happen. What would you expect, after all?
If it was money you afford to lose, I think that as soon as you get other money you afford to lose you should bet again, even small amounts, to keep the games more exciting.
Of course, this is an idea; all is up to you. I really hope you've lost only money you did afford to lose and the amount was not that big...
Betting all in is not really advisable most particularly if you have tight budget for gambling. It’s fine to bet only just a small amount, so that if you lose, you can bet again hoping you’ll win this time. But if you lose again, that won’t hurt you that much and you can just easily leave at peace. That’s the ideal strategy in gambling, having fun while betting, and not that betting all in to become an instant jackpot prize winner. Of course it’s fine for high rollers, but if you are just a small wager, learn to bet a small amount.
1349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 18, 2022, 09:54:12 PM
He won't be interested in bitcointalk forum. What is he going to achieve by taking over the forum? Nothing. Twitter is going to make him money, but this forum isn't going to make him anything. If he was interested in the forum to make it a "better" place, he could just make a new account and start giving suggestions and that is it. He would be saving himself millions of dollars.

Anyway, if he did want to buy the forum, I doubt anyone would agree to sell it.
Most probably, the forum members are also not comfortable with Elon replacing Satoshi. Elon has established different goals from Satoshi, so definitely the invention of Satoshi will also not of high interest to Elon. And to think that bitcointalk forum is not for sale, so it should not be intended to be bought regardless of how many tons of billions of dollars Elon had.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 18, 2022, 09:27:47 PM
It depend on how the free spin is, how difficult it is and how lucky you are. It also depends on how many freespin you have, if it is one, more than one or very many. I have earned over $30 before in free spins, I have earned $4 before, there are even ones that I earned northing. But free spin should not be what we should so consider like the luck of life.
The bigger your wager, the higher chances of having free spins. But as long as you’re not lucky that day, you will never gain a significant amount from your free spins. Because free spins are still a game of chance and luck. But to be honest, if you won a huge amount from your free spin, the more you get tempted to play more and deposit more funds so you can avail some free spins too.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: November 18, 2022, 09:13:40 PM
I’m playing same set of games on different casino not just to get the bonuses of each casino but also to have a different mood of my mind set. It really helps me to calm down and focus whenever I’m losing big time on one casino. It also helps me to not chase my previous losses because I think about it as fresh start.

With this regular routine, I notice that I have a specific casino that I’m always winning despite I’m playing same game that I lose huge amount on the other casino. I do randomly change the sequence of my game on casino and keeps giving me same good result on my personal lucky casino. I highly believe that this luck of mine related on how I feel when playing on that casino. I’m expecting that I will be lucky so my mind is always optimistic whenever I’m playing on it.

Do you have this kind of casino?

I know it is a common experience for all gamblers that we start seeing a casino that we think  we always get lucky every time we gamble on it. But as months or years pass by, based on my own experience, that casino seems just like the other casino which I experienced a lot of losses too. So from then on, I stop thinking that there is one casino that I get so much lucky because in reality, all casinos share the same goals, and that to take away our money since it’s the house that should always win.
1352  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 18, 2022, 08:55:56 PM
I have always heard this saying: You would be addressed the way you are dressed . This also connotes that you should address people the way they dress or appear. In my location you must wear a suit, a shirt tucked in good pants with a tie, or a well-tailored native attire, to prove that you are ready for business or employment. Wearing a jean, T-shirt or any casual wear is indecent in business and you would be treated like an unserious individual. But over the years I have learned that appearance can be deceptive, this has made me treat people or business prospects by their behavior, ability, and productivity and not by appearance.
It depends on the kind of industry you are in, there are jobs in which your image is indispensable, obviously you still need the skills necessary to get the job done, but if someone got the skills plus the appearance and you only have the skills then you are not getting the job over them, however there are many other industries in which as long as you have the skills the way you are dressed does not matter at all, this is especially true now when it comes to the jobs which can be done remotely.
Good appearance should always in complement with good character. That way, you will always be a role model to the rest of your co-workers. Of course, skills are included in it that makes you more a total package. However, for some jobs that don’t require dress code, as long as you have the skills and the character that will be your asset, I think you will always be accepted and acknowledged.
1353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *El Salvador To Start Purchasing Bitcoin Everyday* on: November 17, 2022, 09:39:00 PM
Basically El Salvador is doing what a lot of others do in silence. They are taking advantage of the discount and aim for the long term potentials after the drama ends. I'm curious as to how long they are going to continue buying 1 BTC/day or at least the dedicated budget (it would take 62 days to invest $1 million assuming fixed price).
We all know how El Salvador is taking advantage of buying bitcoin, so this is not really new to us. In fact, this is the perfect time to accumulate more bitcoin, while the price of bitcoin is currently very down because of the current issue on FTX. But I just hope that everything they do will paid off in the future, as they always prioritize bitcoin over their fiat.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: November 17, 2022, 08:34:18 PM
The question is ?
What do you really think of the lottery company and is there any chance for them to winning the case and not paying the winner?

What may be the irregularities the company is blaming the winner for. They seem just interested in denying the winner his prize, in my opinion. It seems strange to now accuse the winner of irregularities after they have been charged to court, after previously alleging that the system had deleted their winning data. Inquisitive investigation should be done by the court, and those who deserve it should receive justice.
If the company is really not interested to pay the winner, then for sure they will create a lot of lies that will go against the winner, and that demands for a deep investigation. It’s so hard to believe that the system had deleted their winning data, that’s unlikely to happen except they will do it for a cause. Whatever it is, let the court decide for it and hopefully justice will be served to the victim.

1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinion on casinos that don't have ANN threads in the forum? on: November 15, 2022, 09:57:05 PM
You can contact the customer support of each casino if you have a problem with that casino. But if the casino has an ANN thread or a representative on the forum, that would be much better because you can complain in that thread and I guess many people will pay attention to your problem. This will attract casino representatives to respond to problems that arise in their casino. And there is a possibility that the casino can quickly solve your problem because the other members will help you too. But if the casino doesn't have an ANN thread in this forum, it seems difficult to solve the problem but it also depends on the problem.
Having an ANN thread will somehow guarantee us that whatever problem may arise, it will be quickly resolved because aside from the representative of the casino that will notice it, some experienced members will definitely offer some suggestions too on how to quickly resolve the problem. Otherwise, if there is no ANN thread, you will have to face your problem all by yourself and even don’t have any assurance if your problem will be quickly resolved by the casino manage or will give you hard time of waiting for the solution.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: Can our work be turned into a full-time investment? on: November 15, 2022, 09:37:13 PM
Under the current situation, many companies are facing bankruptcy or layoffs at any time, and we do not know what we will face tomorrow.
Do we need to switch our jobs to online jobs or a full-time investment in cryptocurrency? If you were fired by the company, would you still find a job you love as quickly as possible?Or you might choose to relax your mind and look for work again after a while.
Do you have better advice for work?
If you can look for a good job the quicker way, the better it will be than to just relax yourself first before finding a new job. Time is precious so you have to take every chances to make an income particularly if you are the sole provider in the family. However, taking full time investments is good especially if you are into bitcoin, but it will be very risky to focus in investing when you don’t even have a stable job that provides you a secure income.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 13, 2022, 12:49:43 PM
It's good to see Pacquiao back in the ring even though it's a promotion fight. It's obvious who will win in this match. I've seen a few videos of DK Yoo on youtube and had no idea he is a martial artist. As long as the fight's proceeds go somewhere else and it will benefit those who are in need it will be worth promoting. I am really not a fan of exhibition match since most boxer who does this do it for the money, take Mayweather and Logan Paul for instance. If you retire from boxing keep it as it is, stop for good and stop going back just to make some money. Not to mention most of it are scripted.

Well, even if he is a martial artist it will not help him to win because this exhibition fight is a boxing fight.

Pacquiao retired because was already old but not old enough to dominate in this kind of exhibition fight. Admit it or not, this fight is only for the purpose of making money because if we really like to see an entertaining boxing fight, Pacman should only fight a retire professional boxer like him.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 13, 2022, 11:44:52 AM

So he chooses Avanesyan as his next opponent, for tuneup for a bigger fight for next year.

I hope that's the real purpose, and that big fight next year would really happen. There's no other big fight for him but to fight the winner of the Spence vs Thurman fight, so he should take it easy and be ready for the challenge. I will hope that Thurman will win so Crawford would always get the opportunity to have that big fight.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 13, 2022, 10:57:39 AM
Magnolia is now at the top with a 7-1 record, they beat the Phoenix to give them their 2nd loss. It's just sad I was not able to put a bet on this game, it was due to my work, I was too busy and has forget to place a bet. Congrats to the winners here.  Smiley

Games results

Phoenix 80 Magnolia 90
Northport 91 DYIP 85

I have not seen the pre-game odds but I think Magnolia covers the spread with that 10-point lead.

I thought that DYIP would end the drought in that game because they were up by 10 points after the first half but unfortunately for them, NorthPort tighten their defense in the fourth quarter which resulted in a just 14 points score in the fourth for the DYIP.

Bets for today:

Dragons -14.5 @1.89 vs NLEX
Fiberxers -4.5@1.92 vs ROS

^^ good bets i think because the Dragons are unstoppable as of late in the elimination while the wards of coach Ayo are out to prove that they are for real.

You already won the first game, Dragons won and covered the high spread. Unto the 2nd game, a hot converge vs ROS, I think I'm going to bet on the underdog here due to a very attractive odds, I'm waiting for a live game and wait until Converge will take a decent lead, then I will hammer the ROS ML.
