Did he really gambled his winning all away which he owes $5 instead?  This is what is to find out to finally how we could weigh the issue. He couldn't wait til Monday.

As for the gameshop also, why did he even allow the guy to use his winning? I'm also suspecting he is at fault that after 2 days the winner owes him instead.
If he has been betting after Friday, well there are really chances that he has used up all his expected winnings but it’s quite odd since he didn’t even realize it. Does it mean he’s also drunk that time? Or this is just his own way of luring the lottery shop owner as he is used doing this in other places. But until there are no clear results of investigation coming from the police, I guess all we have right now are just assumptions that maybe true, maybe not.
1282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: December 21, 2022, 09:59:42 PM
we all know no one can controls the bitcoin price because bitcoin isn't like bank, stock and valas. but if the whales owned 51% of bitcoin, can do it?. if happen, does decentralization not exist?
No. No one controls the cryptocurrency prices because even Satoshi I guess is never aware of it. Big whales may have the best advantage when it comes in accumulating a lot of coins but they can never hold the crypto prices nor control it. That is why if they have seen golden opportunities to enter the market, they will always find ways to maximize their purchases more than any other regular investors can do.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 21, 2022, 08:54:18 PM
Lots of casino giving bonus in different form such as free spin, free bet and bonus deposit but some of applies wagering requirements which is very hard to complete without losing money greater than bonus that you acquired. I know that wagering requirements is calculated by the casino so that can't go bankrupt by abusing this bonus.

I follow Duelbits Christmas giveaway since day one and I still can't find the challenge that I know that I can win.

Does completing bonus is still possible and profitable or it's just like chasing the wind?

It actually depends on individual’s preference. Some find it worth it and profitable while others see it as a destruction especially if they have tight budget for gambling. But for me, I know it’s a big opportunity for me to win without taking some risk, but I know I should complete the requirements first through wagering before getting such bonuses. That is why some have chose to ignore it and just focus on their own games as they can have better chances to win from them.
1284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 20, 2022, 09:59:21 PM
Hello everyone I am very excited today as finally my boss has agreed to pay in Bitcoin. After losing at my first attempt in Cryptocurrency as I thought that wealth falls like rain here I was brought back to reality with losses I got a little job on the side although a small amount paying job I think it is okay for me and I can get back on my feet.

Ever since I started working I have always been talking to my boss and coworkers about Cryptocurrency and after persisting they started to give me listening ears, I made sure to also tell them my experience and made sure they got my picture.

Along the line my boss got very much interested in cryptocurrency especially in Bitcoin. Assisted him in creating his Bitcoin wallet and taught him all I could, it surprised me when he finally accepted to pay me in Bitcoin and has giving it as an option to other workers, it's a big joy for me and I believe they are also talking about cryptocurrency to their friends and family too, just got my first payment in Bitcoin this evening.
Great job. This is just another achievement for bitcoin to be considered as a means of payment rather than an investment alone. And making your boss and your co-workers aware about bitcoin is already a good contribution for bitcoin promotion. I just hope everything will not end here, as your boss will also find ways to let other business owners be aware about bitcoin as a payment system. As long as they understand the risks it brings,  then later on a lot of people will surely benefit from bitcoin.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 20, 2022, 09:45:18 PM
Is there any fighting game like Mortal Kombat where you challenge gamers around the world taking a bet? I don't want to take bet on Mike Tyson or Joshua I want gaming by one self, I believe this is less dependant on Luck, this requires more skill than mere luck.
But the reality is, casinos games right now are mostly based on luck than skills because it’s one way that they can keep their utmost advantage from the players and become highly profitable. Although Mortal Kombat is a good game way back then, but I don’t think casinos would likely to adopt it as gamblers nowadays have different interest compared before. Unlike poker, slot machines, dice, these are now their current high interest.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 19, 2022, 09:55:55 PM
I want to share my own technique on how I overcome my loss. You can share yours too on the comment below.

I recently experienced a heated game session on blackjack that I never experienced before due to I over extent my budget to chase loss. I was down by 200$ while my current bankroll is only 100$. Typically most user will do all in to quickly recover losses but my strategy is to slow down and bet only on craps 5$ on each number. Craps has a low house edge because your only loss is when 7 appear while the rest of the number that you didn’t choose will just result as draw.

Craps pays x2+ per win which is good to slowly recovering my losses. I just continue same bet and stop gambling for a day after I recover 50$ of my bet. I keep doing this per day until I completely recover all my loss slowly and rest for the week.

The slow down bets makes me think clearly and stop me for doing risky bet. This is most important lesson I learned on this messy situation.
While others may find it working and profitable, but personally, I think slow down bets is only good when you are still not losing your money, but if you are already experiencing losses prior than that, then the best solution to cut your losses is certainly to stop yourself from betting. Otherwise, doing slow down bets will even chase for more losses until you end up with nothing to beat anymore. As much as I can, I won’t let myself end up completely like that.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 18, 2022, 11:27:56 AM

Hard to see them still in the playoff even with AD healthy, teams in the West are very competitive. They are still in the 12th position.

They need a lot of effort to at least be in the top 10 rankings so they'll qualify in the play-in tournament. Davis health is very vital, with an inconsistent Davis, Lakers might struggle winning games in the regular which are necessary to improve their ranking. Things are really different now, the good teams like Warriors are not even at the top, so it's a big competition in the play in tournament.

Yeah, Pelicans, Kings and the Trail Blazers are a surprised team in the West right now. And then we have the defending champion Warriors struggling and without Curry, they might end up below the top 8 standings but have a good chance for a play in like the Lakers.

But the problem with the Lakers is that they lack something, they are not as deep as before. Although they have some success with Lebron, in the long run it might hurt them a bit if others are not consistent as AD and Bron.

I agree with that, it's the consistency of the players that is the problem. Westbrook cannot be relied upon as he was already in the 2nd unit, so not having Lebron or Davis in the starting lineup is such a big problem, most especially if Davis is the one that will be injured. Although the Lakers are winning some games their standing is undeniably low, they need to improve their rank to be in the playoff spot.

No Davis against the Wizards, but I think they can handle this team.

1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 18, 2022, 08:53:22 AM

I also don't believe that Ginebra will lose twice in a row that's why will risk on them tonight.

Same here, I just like their betting odds now, they are a slight underdog just like in game 1, so most probably the odds will be the same as long as the game results are close. Ginebra will likely win, if we want to put it all, this should be the right timing as fans will definitely fill the arena to watch this game.

The game has already started, and so far, the game is still very close but SMB should not be complacent, they have to play harder as it's a do-or-die game for them. The spread is high but there's a reason why it's high, SMB backers might take the ML but let's see if this time they have a good plan to beat the Bay Area Dragons.

1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 17, 2022, 12:17:48 PM
Exactly, they don't want to ruined that chance to fight against each other, so they'll need to beat their respective opponent. It's a good tuneup fight for Garcia as he would fight an aggressive fighter which has a similar style of Tank Davis. Garcia has the power and speed, I'm not sure if Gesta will survive a 12 rounds fight if he wants some kind of war in this fight.

It’s hard to understand Garcia, he says that he’s had enough of intermediate fights, and he wants to fight Tank, but despite this, he agreed to fight with Gesta, his behavior is often strange, he has already disrupted two fights in a row in 2021, citing to mental problems. And yet, it seems to me that Garcia will not be able to defeat Tank, this is too difficult an opponent for him.

Maybe he doesn't want to wait too long, and both camps have probably agreed a fight date that is far from now, and I would understand that both camps just want to have a tuneup fight before that big fight, but they have to ensure they'll be fine and they'll win impressively against their respective opponents.

Just like Spence and Crawford, they have their tuneup fight before a big fight, so most probably they just follow it. Anyway, I don't see any reason why a tuneup fight will not happen, I believe it will help them to be in shape, and as long as they'll both win, then there's no problem going forward.

These are undefeated champs fighting a not popular challenges, so there's no much risk here.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 17, 2022, 11:50:31 AM
For those who want to risk it to the Beermen tomorrow, here are the odds in stake

I think this is already a good odd if you are an SMB supporter. I know that San Miguel will do everything in its power not to get swept by Bay Area Dragons. They have a formidable team that can compete against the Dragons and the first game shows that they can actually go toe to toe with them. Fajardo alone cannot do it but if the shooters of San Miguel get hot tomorrow, they have a chance to force a fourth game.

It's not attractive anymore, the way they played on their last game does not represent their greatness. Well, I guess they maybe able to cover the spread but to beat the Bay Area, there's a little chance it will happen. They should have 1 win already, but they wasted that opportunity.

This series will go 3-0, period.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 16, 2022, 01:40:17 PM

We cant say that it is really an assured win yet Butler surprisingly able to to withstand for 11 rounds which it is really something understandable considering that he do purely make out
some defensive stance which is really that something that do really makes him look like a turtle on which Inoue is trying to break that shell until he was really badly hurt and knocked down on
that particular round. Its true that all the thing he do is to run away and dont engage a fight with Inoue. You could even able to count his thrown punches as well
which is really that something makes him look laughable.

It's expected that Inoue will win in domination, but it wasn't expected that Butler is just fighting to survive. He should have not agreed for an undisputed fight if he does not have the ability to beat Inoue. That fight turns out like a circus where Inoue is just making Butler his moving punching bag.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 16, 2022, 12:32:22 PM
My bet lost, no big deal, it was a risky choice so I was careful.
We will win again tonight because there are good games.

I believe in you, so please give us your pick. Grin

My personal bet tonight are the Portland Trail Blazers, they are have been playing sensational in the past few games so I love to ride on their success. Playing against the Dallas on the road, this is certainly an exciting game, but definitely I see the + points as an opportunity, so I'm taking it.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 16, 2022, 09:14:34 AM
Of course in this era there's many way to make money without need to work under your boss or company, but make sure you're need to have very good knowledge, skillful and has a wide connections. You can't just become a master of blockchain but you can't find the place how to sell your service, in this way you need a lot connection where someone can recommend your service to the clients that need it.

Honestly working your under boss or company doesn't have 100% guarantee you will not get kicked or fired, which mean every jobs has it own risk.
If you decide to become a freelancer, you have no choice really but to enhance your knowledge and skills so you can be as competitive and productive like those who are officially employed. Otherwise, despite of the various opportunities that this world has to offer, you will feel left behind and stay unproductive all the time. Connections might be important too, but you should have developed something in you that other companies may find it hard to resist.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 16, 2022, 08:43:21 AM
I was also going to mention the table but anyway there's a bunch of casinos that have their own exchange it's just that they rarely get any promotion or visibility.

IMO the reason why they're not that common on most casinos is because there's a risk that it won't be profitable since their rates are always higher compared to regular exchanges and that amount of money is probably better spent on other things like marketing or promotions.
That could be another reason too as casinos mainly focus on their own marketing to stay at edge with other casinos. If they also focus on both, I’m afraid that the casino itself will really need huge funds so they can cater both the essentials to run a competitive casino and at the same time working on a reliable crypto exchange. Probably, that would create more stress on the operators as they can both fall unknowingly in the future.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 16, 2022, 08:14:53 AM
Whatever the case should be, the idea is just to stay in profit.
Investing is not as easy task and same thing applies to gambling but whatever the case should be, both a gambler and an investor wantes to be happy and just make money.
I was an investor before switching to gambling but that doesn't I mean I stopped investing, I only see gambling as a way to making passive income and on the days my winnings are much, I use mist of it for some more investments while I still try to gamble responsibly.
I was also like that when I started crypto. My first purpose is just to invest but when I realized I can also gamble with crypto, I started gambling hoping to make additional profits. But when I start seeing my money losing more from gambling, I realized that gambling can never be a resort from investing. Gambling should be for entertainment purposes only, and it’s not gonna give you sustainable profits unlike investing and trading.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What New And Other Casinos Should Do To Get To The Top And Edge Top Casinos on: December 15, 2022, 09:25:28 PM
Indeed there are many gambling platforms in this industry as of today. Different gambling sites offering the same set of games, promotions and bonuses. But what would make a casino to stand out over the competition, for me, is their response with problems. Problems in any platform is always expected but only few gambling sites are putting attention into it. Not all players are just into high rewards; coz all of the gambling site could do the same thing. If gambling house team addresses bugs, delays, or basically issues on their platform, that is something only great casinos would do. Such as with the platform I am currently playing at.
A lot of casinos have always updated their games and bonuses, and create a lot of promotions, but still these casinos are not yet on the top. Those on the top are definitely those reputable casinos that are not only focus on their different casino marketing that would attract users, but they also consider dealing with problems as a necessity. You know, that’s the problem with some casinos, they become so aggressive with profits but when problems arise, they start to move back and take actions very late. But those real reputable casinos dwell with problems quickly and find solutions real quick too. That will make the users stick to them for long.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 15, 2022, 08:56:04 PM
The investment is always successful if you recover your capital without problems, and therefore if you enter into an investment of $ 100,000, and you return that amount, then you will not have a problem.
Long-term investment in Bitcoin will easily achieve this increase for you if you wait for several years, or at least until after 2025.

As for what you will do, if you do not have any plan with that money, donate it to charitable organizations in your country, as there are millions of poor people around the world.

You can also diversify investments to ensure that your profits will be available in all circumstances.
Diversification of investments includes gold, stocks, real estate, and bonds.
I guess OP won’t be needing the money for now so he can’t donate it as he might be needing it in the future. He can actually invest it in bitcoin for long term, but definitely not the whole $100k, maybe half of it. And then half of remaining balance he can diversify into stocks, bonds or assets. And the remaining balance he can keep it for his own savings. He might be needing it instantly when future circumstances suddenly appear.
1299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 14, 2022, 09:07:15 PM
Recent events in the cryptocurrency market have forced a lot of cryptocurrency investors and traders to start moving their funds off-exchange most especially centralized exchanges.

There has been a lot of bank runoff with cryptocurrency and a lot of banks are under fed investigation on possible use of customers money to invest in cryptocurrency through centralized exchanges, and with the recent bankruptcy war and money laundering investigation against major exchanges.

It has become imperative to avoid exchanges.and the coins, convert all asset into Bitcoin, and transfer them to your own wallet with your wallet recovery phrase saved. Go on break till after Bitcoin halves in 2024 and if you must invest buy more bitcoin.

Friendly reminder not your key, not your coins!

This should be done even before when there’s still no FTX drama and the likes. Because no matter, centralized exchanges will never be good for long term deposits, instead we have to move our funds into our own private trusted wallet. That way, our funds will never be compromised once centralized exchanges will break out and will be involved into another scandalous event that will steal everything we have. The fact that it’s not your keys, not your coins, so we should start trusting our own bank by having our own hardware wallet that is free from any online interventions.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 14, 2022, 08:34:07 PM
I want to ask first if there's a case before where a gambling site asks for proof of income. If yes, can you share it?
I think there's this thread in this section where stake asked the OP for proof of income.

If that thing will be asked of me, that's already too much since the gambling site has nothing to do with our source of income as long as we were able to make deposits on their site legally. They supposed should not care about that part of our personal life.
I would have the same opinion that the casino shouldn't worry and think of what we do in our personal lives. But if it's written on their books that it's one document that they have to ask to someone that might have some activities that they detected to check, one has just to be obliged to comply.
It’s part of KYC so they can have an assurance that we are not money launderers, so if we want to gamble at peace, we should comply whatever they ask for as long as it’s legal. And I think they don’t care if all our salary net goes to gambling, it’s in us that we should put limits when gambling.
