1441  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: October 08, 2022, 02:49:39 PM
Hello Everyone,

I am not speaking about just Bitcoin. I am speaking about every cryptocurrency / token.  Regardless of crypto price fluctuations, many online and offline stores are ready to accept crypto as payment. So How will willing are you to spend crypto for your purchases?

If one doesn't spend their crypto for purchases and wait for to spend their crypto when its price is nice, are they really considering it as a cryptocurrency or can we assume like those people are treating more like a security or investment instrument?

Let’s face it. Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency at the present is still mostly valued as an investment and less as a currency, maybe because the government itself fails to recognize the high potentials of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency to become a global currency. Also, no one will dare to spend his crypto in exchange for a lower value where in fact he bought it at a higher value before. Spending crypto to promote faster global adoption is good, but for me it should come in case to case basis, like in unforeseen emergencies wherein you have no available fiat on hand and the hospital is willing to accept crypto for payment so you have no choice but to make instant payment with crypto regardless of how high or low its value.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 08, 2022, 01:47:49 PM
No one can give a sure strategy for profit in this bear market. You need to be careful with the desire for it, it makes one vulnerable to scam. I have so many private messages on Twitter with advice on strategy to make profit from this bearish market, who shares such strategy to people free? No one. The risk is just to high for any short term, the best I can give is to buy the bottom of most top coins and look credible startup to invest in
It’s hard to expect profits when the market is deeply bearish, because even pros in trading struggle during bear market. However, there are those who still manage to make profits but always remember that those working strategies for them may not work for other traders. So never ask for that but instead, be more patient and just wait for the right time to sell, and while waiting for it, do DCA in every buying opportunity so you can reap maximum profits when the bull market is here.
1443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: October 08, 2022, 01:21:49 PM
Oh yes, personal strategies are always best no matter what others would suggest. The thing is, abc strategy might be best for one person or the other but it may not work you or me as perfectly as it does for them. It’s very simple, their method of working, thinking, reasoning could be at another level while ours could be at another. With this said it’s always perfect to make your own strategies, build the logics and personal methods to trade in every day basis. Definitely it will be different than what you do or gain in the current method.
However, building our own strategy that will work on us takes time. There are times that we only followed those strategies that have been proven effective to other traders, but still when we come to use it, the outcome differs. So it only means that certain strategy is not fit for us, and we should always keep digging and testing until we come up with a good strategy that will definitely make us profitable through successful trading.
1444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to calculate how much the price of BTC? on: October 07, 2022, 09:59:22 PM
You really can't — simply because supply is one thing, but demand is the second major factor whereas you can't really know how much demand an asset has until you see it. Bitcoin can literally be at the 21 million supply cap right now but if not much people are buying it and lots more people are selling, the price will drop regardless if bitcoin already has zero inflation.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/law-of-supply-demand.asp
No one can do that because not only that the market is very unpredictable, but also you will not know how many of those would want to buy and would want to sell. So it still fall on demand and supply. And you can’t even correctly predict when will bitcoin end up being bearish or starts to be bullish, the reason why everyone only end up in wild but educational guesses.
1445  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 07, 2022, 09:49:48 PM
CONCLUSION
Most time we blame our government and economy for being poor. Although they contribute largely to the masses poverty but we also need to work on ourself to make a difference out of the bad economy.
This is real problem when you already have the money but you still failed to handle it which of course we should not blame the government for this. Though it can totally affect our lives especially with a high inflation which many can’t really afford to handle since their salary is not that much. Being adult is not easy because you are going to deal with a lot of problems, it is advisable to have multiple source of income to at least cover up most of your expenses.
It’s not the responsibility of the government to cater to our needs, it’s our own obligation to provide for our own. Although some would give assistance, but we should also do our part as a citizen and as a human being so we can be productive to see progress on our own from our own hardwork, and not that everything we do the government should also be there. We need to have our own stable job so we can consistently provide our own family needs not just to survive but also because no one can do but only us.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: October 06, 2022, 09:53:06 PM
Perhaps of the many young entrepreneurs, only a few can really successfully run their businesses. They are the ones who can learn from anywhere to gain more knowledge and also often try trial and error in business so they can find the right formula for them. Each entrepreneur must have their own formula so that their business can run well and if they get a formula from someone else on how to run their business, they have to adapt it to their circumstances. It will be better because they can find what works for them and help them achieve success.
Its not undeniable that those who stay for long in the business whether it’s small scale or big time businesses have their own formula or strategy that makes them successful. That’s one thing that make them overcome all their struggles because they have a working strategy or formula that sustain the business profits. Otherwise, if they keep on failing, then it’s hard to see entrepreneurs last long in the business industry.
1447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Successful Journey of Crypto Awareness on: October 06, 2022, 09:30:38 PM
My teachings to the young generation have made me understand that many people are eager to learn new things each day in an easy way without being scolded when they make a terrible mistake.

Most of those whom I teach on how they will learn the most important values and useful things in life mostly want me to do so "nicely''.  Which I always do though.

Many are just looking for pampering and not particularly seeking to learn.

Taking medicine doesn't feel good taken but it makes you get well. That's the mindset every good learner should have.
A good learning system is indeed with the heart and not necessarily with emotions. because today's teenagers easily understand what we explain. they have a wider imagination. Teaching them early about crypto will certainly have a positive impact so they understand the technology that is developing. they are very lucky to be in this modern era, because access to knowledge is wider and can be obtained from anywhere.
The process of growing interest in cryptocurrencies will not be easy, but if they understand of course your teaching will not be in vain, this is for the sake of the continuity of young people to be directly involved with the new technology that awaits them in the future.
Thanks to you OP as you can be their inspiration in learning more about crypto and getting more inclined about bitcoin and crypto investments. But just focus on the facts so it won’t create doubts and misinterpretations in their mind. However, the bitcointalk forum has been overrated for years that it’s been a source of great learning about crypto, so I just hope that these youths will continue to engage in the forum and will develop more knowledge and skills with the help of the reliable forum members.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 05, 2022, 09:26:28 PM
The bear and bull both hold relevance and are important to the market. The bear market creates opportunities for new investors to enter the market while without the expectation of the bull, investors will never take advantage of the bear market. So they are both important to the relevance of one to another and to the market. A market that is only in the bull will not permit opportunities for investors to get into the market, and a market that is only bearish will not encourage new investors to join.
Yes. Both are very important as you can never be profitable if you never start buying from a bear market and decide to sell at a bullish market. So each market condition brings different opportunities, it’s up for us how to take advantage on them and become profitable in the future. However, some may misunderstand and consider doing things in the opposite way. Instead, they start buying when there is bull market and ends up panic selling when bear market comes. That way, they will end up incurring losses, not profits.
1449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 04, 2022, 09:55:27 PM
Hi guys I think I might have heart Attack cause when I buy Bitcoin it goes to lows and when I sell Bitcoin it goes higher and today I sold my all Bitcoin earnings that were 200 dollars and than. BITCOIN starting pumping very hard and that was very very annoying to me. What should I do about this?
Then always think twice before you create such decisions. Make a thorough research first and analyze how the market moves so you will know if it’s profitable to buy or sell. Otherwise, you will always make wrong decisions and regret it in the end. And I hope you already know from the start that bitcoin investment is like a roller coaster, sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down.
1450  Other / Off-topic / Re: Life lessons from Bill gates and how it could make you a successful entrepreneur on: October 04, 2022, 07:58:33 PM
1. BE YOUR OWN BOSS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
“If you don’t build your dream, someone else will hire you to build theirs.” – Bill Gates.
We have to put into consideration those persons who are not cut out to handle any business or administrative position, but can do well as team players working with a group of persons under a company. No pressure, but I feel everyone should be able to find out the position best fitted for them on time and be the best accordingly, either the best boss, or the best team player. Everyone will like to be the boss of themselves, but truthfully, everyone cannot shoulder the responsibility that comes with the position and title, so just find what works for you.
If it’s hard for you to be your own boss, then find a well compensated job and a good boss that will bring out the best for you, and not the one that will pull you down. However, the sad fact about being employed all the time is that you are making the company richer and progressive, while leaving the employees loaded of work just to be compensated. The reason why most of us aim of making ourselves our own boss so that we can see our own worth and that we can be an asset to our own company.
1451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 03, 2022, 09:59:11 PM
I recently posted an update about my bitter experience with cryptocurrency in over a year. I am not financially stable or okay yet but I am trying to build independence for myself, although I had read some theoretical approaches to things I went the wrong way and I paid the price in full.

I wasn't alone on the road to wasteful investment. I had friends who joined me or most likely encouraged me into it, but right now they are cursing cryptocurrency.

I may have lost much though but I had learned
1. How to control my emotions in cryptocurrency: before now I had issues with controlling my emotions generally and even though I had intelligence on certain things. My emotions becloud my sense of judgment. But after losing serially over one year in cryptocurrency I think that aspect is improved.

2. Letting people control you:  I have come to discover that there are so many different characters in cryptocurrency both online and offline(close to you) many of them with different schools of thought on investment, trading, and cryptocurrency in general, as a newbie I have learnt that you ought be careful on the knowledge you get feed. Many of which are wrong, unproven, and sent out by the sender based on what they were paid.

3. Throw in the towel on wrong approaches: I know many newbies are on the wrong path but are still very adamant about changing their ways. I had lost a lot but if I had remained in foolish stubbornness I would have lost more. So as newbies call it quit your wrong approach as soon as possible.

4. No shame in starting from scratch: using myself as an example I am starting fresh and going back to the very basics and I am not ashamed to admit that. The good news is that I am better experienced and more mature.
Losing is part of the process and you will not eventually learn if you never lose and commit mistake in your first attempt. Losses are simply the best motivation to correct your mistakes and learn from it. Everyone started from a scratch, but it does not mean that we should still end in a scratch too. Think positive, and gradually apply what you have learned, that way you will achieve success easier and faster.
1452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privilege to teach Bitcoin in church on: October 03, 2022, 09:29:27 PM
That's a good idea if your purpose is to educate them, we've seen many churches now accepting Bitcoin as a donation and it might be good if they even know basic technical knowledge about Bitcoin and how it'll work.  It's also awareness to them, you can give them as an example that there's a church now accepting Bitcoin as a financial donation or transaction and it might your church will do the same.

I didn't see any wrong if you'll discuss this in your church, Bitcoin is not a curse to be feared, yet, it's an advantageous technology that can be useful to anyone.
Its good to see that you have given the privilege to teach bitcoin  in a church, that way it will bring awareness to the people and will clear out the issues that bitcoin is a scam and a quick rich scheme. Bitcoin is a great innovation so people deserve to know about it since it can be very useful for them when the world is ready for bitcoin global adoption.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 02, 2022, 11:34:10 AM
So I try to research about deaths of boxer inside the ring,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deaths_due_to_injuries_sustained_in_boxing

And i guess this is what the rounds was readjusted in the 80's. Before boxers fought at 15 brutal rounds but was reduced to the standard that we are using today at 12 rounds.

The infamous fight that comes to my mind is Mancini vs Duk Koo Kim who collapsed in the ring and die. Then after several months the one that referee the fight committed suicide and so is Kim's mother. And it still haunts Mancini up to this day.

The rules have been adopted a lot too to protect the boxers.

I think in the 60's they are allowed to slug it out until one of them drops but these days, when the referee sees that the fight is already one-sided and one player cannot defend itself anymore, it will be stopped and declared TKO. I think the Standing Count rule was introduced because of the death of Kim Duk-Koo.

There is lesser death these days but unfortunately, it may still happen because of the nature of this sport.

True, but boxers who enter this game have to be aware of the risk, and he has to accept the risk. That's why they need to have the right training so they will be 100% ready and they can take the punches from their opponent. Referee has a big role in boxing, they have to make sure that they are doing their job well to protect the boxers and to make it a clean fight.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 02, 2022, 10:36:38 AM
I think the Lakers is not the organization that develops young guns but just acquires stars that will secure them championships immediately. They are not the type of team that wants to go through rebuilding.

Agree with that, they are a team that can afford to sign superstars, so why would they start with the young guns? They were able to do that with Kobe, he got O'neil, and when O'neil left the team, they got Gasol and Odom. Now that they have Lebron James, they'll make sure that he will be surrounded by great star players and they won't mess up again this season for sure.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 02, 2022, 09:21:26 AM
I guess Magnolia will win this game. Stockton made a bad move with a poor foul on Paul Lee although there's still enough time left, and with that, it resulted in a two-possession ball game, it could have been an interesting game, but converge is not a clutch team, too bad.

They won the game, 105-109 was the score.

Converge import is good, but without good support from the locals, he cannot win for the team.
He scored 38 points but most of the locals are struggling in the game, unlike the Magnolia who has big contributions from the locals, so the import is not carrying a heavy burden.

Here are the locals who contributed big to this win.

Jalalon 15 pts
Barroca 19 pts
Lee 20 pts
Sanggalang 10 pts
Abueva 10 pts.

You said that right and accurately dude, teamwork is still really important and you shouldn't just rely on imports or anyone they think is the best. Because no matter how good it is if a team does not have teamwork, the chance to win for sure will not be achieved. But if all the members of the team have a good connection with each other and all contribute, it is also certain that there is a high chance that they will win the match.

And that's exactly what happened in this battle between the two teams. That's why it's really good that everyone brings the team, not just one brings a team.

On some teams, they have only one person whom they consider as their superstar and he is the one making most of the production, however, with Magnolia, it's quite different as we know their system, they prioritize their teamwork over individual production. Congrats to them, this team is a good team to bet with.

1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 01, 2022, 01:55:41 PM

Again, we can go back to Robson Conceicao vs Shakur Stevenson.

Robson could have accept the prize money easy because Shakur is like 1.6 lbs overweight. But him and his team decided to go and continue with the fight and lost.

It's not all about the money all the time, Conceicao also believes that he could beat Shakur, and it's more fulfilling if a boxer wins not winning only because of technical disqualification, he tried and lost, that's okay. Hopefully boxers will have that kind of mentality, they have to fight to win.
1458  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future? on: September 30, 2022, 09:56:17 PM
Crypto and governments will have to find ways to adapt and evolve to each other.

You're not going to want to let crypto do things your government has provided that seems efficient (things like healthcare, education and handling waste).

There are a lot of things available in the crypto industry but I doubt they're also that well paid too and could really compete with many governments for workers.
Government jobs will never be irrelevant, not today and in the future because they are considered regular jobs unlike with crypto, the jobs that are found in there might only be temporary only when the company need you or some may still be considered for long term job. However, the focus here is the consistency and sustainability of profits, and I don’t think that crypto jobs are more capable of that, although some are well paid but mostly they only pay minimal amount.
1459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don’t Always Flaunt Your Wealth And Wallet Online on: September 30, 2022, 09:28:43 PM
It is not even enough to just say, "don't always flaunt your wealth." It appears as if it is completely all right to flaunt it sometimes or seldom. The truth is that it is never a wise idea to flaunt your wealth anytime. Keep your riches to yourself. For one, others won't be happy for you that you are becoming wealthy. And, of course, others would only think of ways to get that wealth off you. So whether this story is true or not, the lesson is there.
This goes to all rich people who are used to brag their wallet achievements online, not realizing that it could bring threat to their lives from those people who are closely watching them from far. Even though its “not to brag but to inspire other people” according to them, still its not a wise idea to let other people know that you have accumulated it in your wallet. The story might be true, so hopefully it will leave a lesson to those who are able to read it.
1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin, Not for everyone. on: September 30, 2022, 08:54:22 PM
Actually in this case there is no requirement for someone to store 1 bitcoin in their wallet because there is no such standard and there is no recommendation that this should be done.
But it would be great if we had it in our wallet regardless of the amount. Now there are only strategies and financial conditions. who believe in bitcoin and have sufficient money conditions then they can earn more than people in general.
The good thing about bitcoin is you can even buy and hold a portion of it, and just only buy again when you are already in profits. That way, you will never struggle hard to store 1 bitcoin as there is no required amount to buy or store in your wallet. However, rich investors will always have the opportunities to store more than 1 bitcoin as they have all the means to buy a whole bitcoin in just a single purchase.
