1381  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 04, 2022, 09:20:53 PM
As previous trends , logically.

we had our BTC top 1 year back(69000$). So after one year we can not expect another ATH going to happen. Market need sometime for next momentum. Even other markets too.

If we guess that we can expect next market preparation  after next halving ,. Hence , we have exactly 1 year and 5 months.

Clearly can see consolidation area in next year(2023). So definitely we can grab , more buying opportunities rather now.

We had Bull market , Now we are at the end of the bearish momentum. Consolidation area is incoming.

This is my market reading. I know everyone does have different opinions. Lets share

Well if you have been in the market and have seen previous cycles, yes the catalyst for the next bull run is the bitcoin halving, and it is still very far.

Consolidation has been happening in the last 4 months, the price has been trading sideways, we might as well take that advantage and accumulate.

For 2023, yeah, maybe we can see lower lows for this bear market, there are predictions that it could be around $10k-$15k, but we will have see.
Well, for as long as the bear market is here to stay, then it’s not impossible to see bitcoin price drops more. I know it will certainly happen before we will witness a new ATH that is bound to happen every after bitcoin halving. History proves it and I know history repeats itself. So invest more in bitcoin and see where it will lead you in the end.
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 08:59:30 PM
i am a newbie in bitcoin, and i plan to buy bitcoin,, and will invest in bitcoin, and i want to ask everyone? if investing in bitcoin is it better short term or long term??? but in my opinion, long-term investment is better, but what do you think?
I supposed you never know well about bitcoin because you are not sure yet as it is for long term or short term investment. You can always accumulate more knowledge first and always DYOR so you will always be guided. However, for me it’s best to invest bitcoin for long term because history proves it, and because it’s value will keep on growing every year that comes.
1383  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 03, 2022, 09:21:55 PM
The OP makes some important points but I think what he doesn't realize is that being rich and saving money are not actually the same thing.
To be anyone can be rich he/she has to know his/her capacity, potential, and natural gift, find a problem in the space he/she specialized in, and fix the problem while he/she makes money through it.
These are the things all the Billionaires we see today did.
To prevent money wasting and increase saving ones need to be disciplined, skip some luxury life, and limit or quit (alcohol, smoking, gambling, and drugs) which are the most money waster in history.

I would also like to add that attitude is very important too if you aim to get rich in crypto investments or whatever investment you want to engage in. Aside from having discipline, an investor should also focus on having positive mindset and being an open minded person because that will help him overcome all the trials when investing. If he has a great attitude towards investing, he will most likely to succeed in the future.
1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to DCA when BTC crashing on: November 03, 2022, 08:44:47 PM
Assuming you want to invest $1000, you can start investing $50 every week. That is the meaning of DCA. As you are investing $50 as bitcoin price decreases further, you will still  be able to invest some amount when its price is low. If you take the average of the weekly invested amount, you could have invested at $17000 in average which is better than investing all at $20000.
Obviously, it’s the best time to do DCA when btc is crashing as you will always target to buy in every price drop for bitcoin. Most particularly if you are tight in your budget and still you want to invest, then do DCA so you can still maximize accumulation of bitcoin in every price drop opportunity. Much better if bitcoin price continue to drop, then it will always mark as the best entry in the market.
1385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this Lead to the Mass Adoption of Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2022, 09:35:31 PM
Lately Twitter has been filled with the news of Elon Musk's proposal for Twitter folks to pay $8/month for the blue checkmark. And there have been supporting and dissenting voice here and there. One of the comments that caught my attention is that of this user, Jack Mallers. He tweeted "Lightning (instant + near-free #bitcoin payments) should be an accepted payment method. Would allow for global, inclusive, private payments (important for pseudonymous users) that are cash-final (no chargebacks)." I read this, and the first thought that came to mind was, if Elon Musk consents to this we might likely see the bitcoin's mass adoption. Now Assuming this happens, do you think we may see the technical mass adoption of bitcoin?
Well, this could be a great start for bitcoin to be accepted as a currency from a big company, but we can never expect instant mass adoption from this. It will still be a long and hard process before we finally make it happen. But I’m happy if this one will eventually happen, because I know in the long run, Twitter will also influence  other big companies to trust bitcoin as a payment system.
1386  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: November 02, 2022, 08:37:10 PM
One good news, if we get one good news then we are going to end up with everything alright, and that's not going to bother us as much. We just need to make sure that we are doing well enough and it should be fine. I understand that it's not going to be as simple, I know that it's going to take a while, but we need to make sure that we can hold long enough that ONE good news would make it go up.

If we can hang in there until that time comes, we are going to make a good profit, and when that happens it's going to actually make a big difference. I know that a lot of people get scared when they are investing, it's your money that you worked so hard for, but do not let fear make it even worse.
Good news and events will definitely make the price of bitcoin turns in an upward trend. So we should always be patient to wait for it as we won’t get the right timing when that good news will hit the crypto market. But as much as possible, learn to invest and hold for long term too, that way you can avoid from panicking because you are never too greed for fast and easy profits. And when positive news hit the market, then everything will be doing good and profitable at the end of the day.
1387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Unnecessary Pressure For Merits on: November 01, 2022, 09:59:19 PM
The forum, is just like every other online forum or group, and all one is needed to do is just to discuss and share ideas, ask necessary question, answer questions, help solve a problem and in general be ready to unlearn, learn and relearn.

Always try to give solutions to problems, when people present a topic seeking for solution, as this also fascinates meriting a post.

Stay interactive and always present the best ideas as much as you can because that will create good learning particularly for newbies. And never let yourself think of instant profits first, instead acquire good knowledge and skills first before you think of earning profits. That way, your purpose in the forum will be achieved first before you set yourself into making good profits.
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 01, 2022, 09:30:46 PM
. So I ask what hidden opportunities does this recession offer? How can one take opportunity of the recession to become rich or at least not go broke?

Do you have a job? Do you have any income?
If you do, and you have some savings, a recession is much better than a bull market to make money. You will be able to buy cheap stocks and bonds (and crypto) and in a few years your stash will be much bigger than it would if we were in a bull market right now.

Take a look at this article
https://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2022/05/20/2022-stock-market-crash/

If you don't have a job now, there are also opportunities now. There are many options to try for a remote job, study in the internet and so on.
Find stable job first so you will not go totally broke and become totally useless during a recession. However, if this recession has laid you off from your job, then you can always develop your skills and find good jobs online that will be needing your area of specialization. No need to wait for some job offers, learn to look for them as recession will never hinder us from landing into good and well compensated jobs as long as your totally fit for it.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 30, 2022, 01:48:25 PM
I like the outcome of the fight, though it's expected that Loma would win the fight but what we all witnessed was obviously a very entertaining fight. Loma this fight via unanimous decision, so for sure he is ready to face Haney, we can expect this big fight early next year as both fighters are really eager to fight each other.

Though Loma wasn't at his best but still we were able to witness an amazing performance which I think was enough for him to face Haney next year if things will be sorted out right like whose gonna have the bigger slice of the pie. Ortiz was a live underdog and for sure his future is bright if he continues and improve his fighting style.
It was a good tune up fight for him before a big fight, Ortiz was also good but he is not at the level of Loma yet, so he needs to work harder because he will be facing a tougher challenger, a champion that was not yet defeated.

Congrats Loma and bettors by the way, what was the odds for Loma winning via decision?

Loma to win by decision was 1.88 while 1.96 for KO, almost even.

Lost my bet but as i thought that Loma will KO Ortiz but the 10 month layoff may have affected his performance today but no regret, it was still a good fight for Loma.

Sorry mate but that's okay because it's almost a win because Loma was also able to hurt Ortiz, unfortunately, there's no aggressive follow-up which intention is to bring his opponent down.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2022, 12:47:46 PM
It will be on Monday against the Denver Nuggets and this team isn't going to go easy on them as they also have a good run at the first games that they've got unlike the Lakers.

The Nuggets are a pretty strong team, and the Lakers will probably play without Davis again. So it will be quite expected if the Lakers' losing streak increases to 6 games in a row. Honestly, it's a pity that Davis is so prone to injury. He can really be an effective player, but he misses games due to injuries once again, although the regular season has just begun. This looks like an unsolvable problem both for himself and the team.
It will be another disappointing match if that's the case, and I agree that the Nuggets are a strong team and there's no doubt about that. The same with the Laker's struggle is the Brooklyn Nets which is having the impression of a strong team. Well, we're having super-strong teams that struggle in their early matches. They're 1-5 and that's one win lead against the Lakers.  Lips sealed
Brooklyn is way better than the Lakers because they are not the Lakers who are still winless until now. I'm sure Lakers will play hard to break their losing streak but if they don't have the talent, I don't think that's enough to beat a strong team like the Denver Nuggets. Lakers have the home court advantage, but I don't trust them since they are 0-2 at home so far.

The first game is over, converge winning streak is still alive.

It was a low-scoring game but an entertaining game to watch, Bossing is just a competitive team now, not the same with DYIP who just keep losing with huge margins. As usual, Q Miller still carries the team for another win, hope he will continue to play the best basketball.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 29, 2022, 02:52:50 PM

Quote
Sadly, they will be playing back-to-back with an exhausted body tomorrow but so is their opponent Chicago Bulls.
Chicago will surely win this game, they are at home and yet they are still a slight underdog.
That's questionable for me, I would stay away from this game. Bulls are at home and yet they are the underdog, for sure the public would take the Bulls so most likely it's just a trap and Sixers will again win this game. As per status, Embiid is questionable, but I have a feeling that he'll play.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 29, 2022, 02:19:50 PM
Damian Lillard didn't play (calf injury) but Simons and Nurkic stepped up their game to be able to claim the win.

Congrats mate. Nice catching that Portland Trail Blazers -6.5 handicap in the live bet.

The reason is, for almost the entire whole game, Blazers are dominating the Rockets right at the start that's why a handicap of -6.5 for them is unlikely to offer as it was possible for them to cover it. The Rockets are always behind by over 10 points.

I will guess, you got that on 2Q where the Rockets managed to cut the lead by at least 6-7 points if I remember it right. Cheesy

I would doubt betting on the Blazers without Lillard but that big win of them just proved that they are an improve team this season. Their good start is real, I  mean, they'll be a tough contender in the playoffs if they will be successful in reaching the playoffs.

May I know the status of Lillard's injury, when will he able to come back?
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Growing Money is Knowledge on: October 28, 2022, 09:53:00 PM
If I had seen this message in the past years, my direct answer would be yes, keeping the money is a very good thing. But now when I look at the wars and tensions around the world, saving money in this period is a huge mistake. Because there is a serious inflation problem around the world right now. For this reason, all the money you save in the bank or personally is melting away in the face of this inflation. Because the value of money is decreasing day by day. The house and cars you bought for a certain price yesterday were almost doubled. Therefore, in this period, it is better to make a profit by investing your money in some way or by converting the money in some way.
For some people who have no ideas about investing, keeping money is the safest thing to do because they think that will ensure their future. But that is not the case right now as everything you have saved might be insignificant in the future as their value will keep on depreciating due to high inflation. To avoid it from happening, never focus on saving alone this time as investing a portion of it will give you secured profits in the future. As long as you are only investing in good and reliable projects, your money will keep on growing as well as you also gained consistent knowledge out from your investments.
1396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Payed trading person to follow on: October 28, 2022, 09:30:20 PM
Yeah, thats why I'm asking. I can't find these people

Then you have a big problem, because if you can't find "those people", then you are definitely not ready to recognize if someone is legitimate or if they are setting a trap for you. Successful traders do not share their advice publicly but focus on their goals, and some indicators say that only about 5% of people who trade make a profit.

If you are already going on such adventures, follow at least one rule - invest only as much money as you are ready to lose. Most people learn from mistakes, it's just a question of how expensive those mistakes are.
Seems you are not ready to trade OP so better yet, focus on investing first and never invest an amount you can’t hardly afford. Also, learn to develop trading on your own through watching some free video tutorials in youtube. That way, you will gain ideas how to trade and on different scenarios in trading. Although copy trading may be good especially if you are still a newbie, but if you want to make consistent profits in trading, you cannot rely on it completely. Have your own skills and strategies in trading so you can be a good trader in the making.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: October 28, 2022, 08:59:27 PM

Keep accumulating crypto and you will reap the rewards in the future!

Is this a financial advice? I personally think it should not be, because this is part of the reasons we have many people running away from crypto-currency claiming that it's a scam or a financial trap that only extort them of their capital.
I don't tell people to accumulate crypto-currency all because they want fast earning or they want to get faster and better returns on investment.
Rather I advice then to accumulate more Bitcoin because it has more potential in terms of helping with all of the financial issues that has come to be a tradition using Fiat.
Altcoins are good investments too but they are only good for short term profitability, so if you are looking for long term profitability that will make your future brighter, then stick to bitcoin which is the most prominent coin in the market. History has proven it more safe and secured despite of the uncertain and unpredictable market.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: October 27, 2022, 09:59:14 PM
Seems the bear market is likely going soonest. Congratulations in advance to those who bought low and those hodling for a long time. There is likely going to be a new all time high to be achieved before this year comes to an end. If you can, fill up your bag but do your own research.

What do you all think about the sudden bounce back and price increase on Bitcoin of lately?
This is what we all hope for to see a good price increase for bitcoin and with the rest of established altcoins. So congrats for those who have high patience in hodling their coins for long term as they might be profiting months from now. Otherwise, if the price will dump again, then most likely the bear market is not over yet and we might experience more dumping of prices in the next days and months.
1399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the best out of what you can control on: October 27, 2022, 09:47:48 PM

Since we can't control the amount of merit a post is to get for us, then the right thing to do is worry about the one in your control if it can make good out of that which you can't control.

Why should their forum rank or the number of earned merits be important to new members?
If I were you, I wouldn't bother with it, but if I were a new member of this forum, my goal would be to learn something new, learn from older and more experienced members, make new friends, become part of the forum community etc.
Over time, as you learn more about crypto, you will be able to share much more on the forum and help others.
Everything else, like forum rank or merits, will come naturally and without too much effort.
Newbies are most likely less knowledgeable and have less chances to get merits from other members so it should not be their priority first. Instead, acquire knowledge from all resources so they can maximize learning and eventually, skills will develop in time after making a lot of various experiences. When everything is good about them, that’s the time they can attract merits from others unexpectedly and effortlessly.
1400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why speculate when you can be at peace with Bitcoin on: October 27, 2022, 09:32:00 PM
Speculation is a part of the process interms of investment. The idea of assuming that its market value would increase in the future is already speculating. Maybe OP means not speculating that much or not putting that much of attention checking its market value.

That's just okay as long as it's your vison as an investor but we cannot put a margin to those who are using a different method; short term investment. We do all have different perspectives but for sure we are all having one goal; to gain profit from doing so.
I understand that we can never be sure of everything, the reason why sometimes we end up with speculations. But for me, that’s still fine as long as we also make a thorough and educative research on that so that we’ll also rely on facts and not purely on speculations. Regardless if we have long term or short term investments, that’s our choice as long as we always go for good and established coins for investments.
