Bump (I know this conversation was already had, but why the hell isn't this stickied? Nobody's going to find this thread on page 3).
I've reported it to the mods to ask for it to be stickied, but it remains unhandled. Maybe the active mods want to leave it to ThomasV to decide, but he's not very active so it may have gone unnoticed by him. @ghost43 has been more active as of late, I'll send him a PM ask him to pass on the message to ThomasV.

Is there a guide to make my own random seed phrase that will work with electrum wallet? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Curious why you want to do that? For various reasons I like using Bip39 seeds for my hot wallets, but it's not something I recommend for newer Electrum users. If you have a hardware wallet, you can use that to generate Bip39 seeds, and import those into Electrum. There are also browser-based tools that can be used to generate Bip39 seeds, like Ian Coleman's tool, but I would figure out a way to increase the entropy if you use such a method Electrum generates it's own native 12-word seeds with 128-bit encryption, which is plenty strong. Electrum can also generate 24-word seeds by using the command line commands. Electrum's native seeds are not Bip39 compatible, but there are ways to recover those wallets with other clients, like Sparrow for example. Without knowing why you want your own custom seed, it's hard to make recommendations.

I searched for a discussion about North American soccer, and I found this thread which I had completely forgotten about. Not surprising since it's just been me talking to myself so far, lol. And, here we go again. The USA Men's National Team won the Concacaf Nations League last night with their 2-0 win over Canada. The fun game was played Thursday, however, against the highly irritable Mexican National Team. I don't know if I've ever seen a game with 4 red-cards dished out, I'm just glad there weren't any serious injuries. The weekend kicks off the Concacaf Gold Cup, and the USA are favored to win it all. It's been a great week for US soccer fans, if any exist other than me... ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Next candidate for a redtag: ShortmasterI give Loans daily intrest rate 2% Loan for 7 days 15 days 30 days.
Collateral accepted btc or tron. Loans only USDT TRC20 (TRON NETWORK) COLLATERAL 120% , IF btc is monthly high then higher collateral Will be asked If btc monthly price low range might be less collateral required If you don't pay on the exacly day the loan date we agree your collateral Will be taken and you have no obligation to pay back. Loan conditions are not negiotable some better deals only for long term serious customers.
1. Who holds the collateral, you? 2. Why would anyone trust a newbie to send the loan after he's received the collateral? 3. If BTC is the collateral, and it's price goes higher why would you need more? 4. Misspellings look unprofessional. 3. If price goes higher then it can fall and collateral lose value If price low collateral gain value. Yes i hold collateral no need third parties to get involved becouse it's getting to difficult. Also i want to see If i can get enough customers so volume should be high i should be the main lender in this field that's my plan.

let's make a $1000 bet that I dont have at least 10 BTC and I am not american. Let's see how good your spidey senses are lol.
I think you're confusing me with someone who gives a shit. I don't need to spend any money to prove or disprove my suspicions about you. Maybe I'm wrong but I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again, all for free. If you have something to prove, be my guest.

what are the tell tale signs lol?
Identifying liars is my superpower, and my methods are a trade secret. i'd love to make you a bet here if you don't think i have the funds. Let's use a well known escrow person here if you don't believe me. like minerjones
let's bet a $1000 in BTC if you'd like to put your money where your mouth is. im open to upping it. this would be fun and entertaining for both parties.
I never said anything about whether you have the funds or not, I claimed you're not American. But since we're on the subject; why would I believe any claims made by someone I suspect is a liar? If you want to prove you have the funds, do as Condoras suggested; sign a message from an address with some BTC in it. really odd about so much negativity here
Take it as an effort to keep this community safe from scammers and liars, who are the only ones needing to be concerned about my cynicism and skepticism.

multiple alts? im really not sure what you are implying
I'm implying your a fake. You sure as hell don't sound like an American in this previous post of yours, more like someone trying to pass himself off as one. There are tell-tale signs. But whatever, as long as you're not asking for a loan here I don't care about your suspicious story.

Is the lender asking for collateral? If not, then what is the scam?
He was asking for collateral, here's the archive of the unedited original post in his first lending thread: https://ninjastic.space/topic/5454298After he was asked about escrow for the collateral in his first (now deleted) thread he started a second thread which was a copy of the first, but he crossed out the part about collateral. It's just another beggar: If u like my business donate to me to continue my loan service my btc address : ~ I've reported the thread. Update: It's deleted. Not the only one. Here's another that I reported a couple of days ago that's nothing more than a request for a handout; https://ninjastic.space/post/62375765The second loan thread is still active despite also asking for donations. This is probably the same alt-farm-troll that's been spamming the lending board for the last year. He seems to have switched his tactics from asking for loans to offering them. I suspect he's using one of his many alts to appear like a "legit" lender. I have no evidence just yet, so I'll refrain from mentioning the account name in this post.

You are probably living in some kind of dream world. Such situations do exist and as I wrote I have proof. Not that I'm trying to prove anything to you, it's sad that you're saying it's a bullshit sob-story that no one believes.
Lol, sure thing. I'm living in a dream world while you're the newbie asking internet strangers to give you $2k without any guarantees you'll pay back. Okay fine, but for some inexplicable reason I suspect my "dream world" is much closer to reality than yours. ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif)

That's an interesting (and surprising) view. I have a different one: this is how the Trust system is supposed to work. And I don't easily exclude users, this took me a long time, and it feels like I finally gave up on him improving.
I'm not talking about consequences, of course there should be consequences. I've removed Timelord from my inclusions as a result of his stubbornness, and refrained from adding him the past due to the same. This has all been documented. And please don't include yourself in the "clique" that I mentioned in the my previous post. You, probably above all others have demonstrated restraint and rational thinking, especially when it comes to matters relating the forum's trust features. I'm talking about people who come here hurling insults, even though they don't have a dog in the fight. It really demonstrates the shallowness of their personality, and poor judgment of their own. I can understand those who've been directly affected by Timelords actions taking things personally, but why does it seem that whenever an established member steps in shit, the weakest minds among us get giddy with the opportunity to insult him? The funniest part about it is the fact that many of these mean girls (unlike Timelord) have made little to no significant contributions to the forum other than being WO merit whores, but lo and behold how they jump on their high horse to kick a man when he's down. It's pathetic.

Sometimes the Reputation board reminds me of the clique of mean girls that we all had to deal with in high school. Timelord2067 has made himself an easy target, he made a mistake with the feedback ratings he left, then another by taking the communities response personally and digging in his heals rather than admitting his mistake. Rather human of him, yes, and obviously gives the mean girls and drama queens a great opportunity to kick a man while he's down.
But, can any of you mean girls tell me with absolute honesty that you've never made the same mistakes? Honestly?
Didn't think so.
If it's one thing I've learned about Timelord over the years is that no matter how many of these attacks he's withstood, he'll take it like a man. It won't change him or the effort he puts into this forum. Right or wrong, that kind of strength of character is far more admirable than a bunch of giggly schoolgirls rushing to kick a man while he's down.

Trezor Wasabi Wallet And subject yourself to mass surveillance and government sanctioned censorship? No thanks. Security and privacy are getting attacked from all sides these days, that's for sure. Just when Ledger announces their "Shared Self-Custody" service, Trezor is contracting with Wasabi who's in turn contracting with arbitrary Chain Analyses scammers. It's really too bad about Trezor, they had such a good thing going being among the most popular fully open-source hardware wallets. Even their app allows for one to connect to a private SPV server for bitcoin (and maybe some shitcoins, but I wouldn't know.) Contracting with Wasabi is such a slap in the face to their customers who care about privacy. At this point I feel like my Trezor One is useless, and my Trezor Model T has been relegated for use with my XMR full node only. If Foundation implements XMR compatibility into their Passport wallet, Trezor will be in real trouble.

If you escrow money then why do you need a loan?
If you're bullish on Bitcoin, i.e. you don't want to sell your stash but you need some $USD right now, it's a good way to leverage your bitcoin. Many lenders have started to offer stablecoin loans, so that may prompt someone to ask for a loan secured by bitcoin as collateral. Conversely, if you own and are bullish on an alt-coin, but need some bitcoin you could do the same with ETH (for example) as collateral, and borrow BTC. As you've likely noticed, most of the borrowers who are granted loans are well established members who are granted relatively small loans without collateral.

Is there a current guide for setting up an Electrum server on a Mac (not a personal server)?
I don't know of any electrum SPC server that's ready to go for a Mac and I have very little experience with MacOS, but you may be able to compile a binary of Electrs (Romanz 1 or Blockstream 2) that will run on your system. 1https://github.com/romanz/electrs2https://github.com/Blockstream/electrsIs an Electrum Server the same thing as electrumx?
ElectrumX is one of the SPC servers compatible with Electrum (and many other clients,) but as far as I know it's intended to run on Linux. Again, if you're skilled with such things you can compile your own binary, but I don't know of any instructional that will guide you through the process. My goal is to set up BTC RPC Explorer and be able to look up my wallets, historical data, etc, on my own block explorer.
This is mostly a project for me to learn, strictly for my own use - at least for now.
Romanz Electrs is very easy to set up and plenty good enough for personal use with a blockchain explorer. One of my servers has been running Mempool.space with Romanz Electrs as the backend, and it's been running flawlessly for nearly two years. Looking up an address with a ton of transactions will be slow, but I've never had it hang up. Blockstream's Electrs fork is more robust and more practical for a public server, but it requires more resources.
