4641  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Crypto Infographics on: May 28, 2018, 09:06:35 PM
These infographics are attractive it encourages you to continue reading once you started because they're short and simple. Some of us prefer reading infographics because of shorter attention span and sometimes it depends on the situation. I don't mind reading long texts but there are long texts where it leads to nothing that's why some do skim reading to avoid wasting a lot of time and asks for tl;dr versions.
Definitely correct on the things you said on here which its quite common for most readers to skip up when they do encounter to see a very very long text to read on which it would end up on not it reading it well or decide to read up on the last part. Even myself would recognize to check and read on info graphics which informations and keypoint are already being mentioned without the need on reading up possible useless sentences. Key points would always been good rather than on writing without any path.
4642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: R.I.P. Poloniex (new face-image requirements) on: May 28, 2018, 08:41:54 PM

Doesn't a passport have a photo anyway? I don't see why they would require an additional one.
They can't verify it's actually you if you only give them the photo of your passport, since there would be no time stamp etc, you could just use a false identity.

I also received this email about poloniex forcing verification a couple days ago, in which it stated the following:

Quote
We are asking everyone to take action within the next 14 days.

This seems scary. What exactly will happen after the next 14 days? Will they just claim my funds? I can't find anything about this and it seems quite weird.
Anyone who can enlighten me on that bit?
Additional photo with your own face and some time stamp will really prevent frauds and same as you said anyone can pass up others identity or documentation where they do add up with that kind of requirement i know it does sucks to have that add up but if you arent hiding something then this would be a problem into your side but if you are really into anonymous things then most likely you would really hate up this thing no doubt.
4643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit scam ? Trade lost money on: May 28, 2018, 12:39:43 PM
Wait a sec, how was exactly you "lose" your money while trading on yobit? You bought on higher price then you sold it on lower price?

I used btc to buy altcoin but btc lost, altcoin not in my wallet. It is considered lost?
You sure that you do able to click a sell order?  its impossible for you not to get the tokens if you purchased a token with btc.  would you mind on posting a screenshot? so that we would able to know on what is really happening or the situation you are experiencing now., having visuals would be a great help on identfying.
4644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Refurbished HTC one and security issues and Chinese seller on: May 28, 2018, 05:32:39 AM
What is the exact message?

Lots of banking apps won't load on rooted phones. Is the phone rooted?

I wouldn't be inclined to trust a Chinese phone direct from the factory, let alone something supplied by a third party, let alone a refurbished one.

Yes, it is rooted. Banking apps shows it is rooted. What does exactly rooted phone means? Isn't it secured?
This is also a reason why some mobile app doesnt load where it might be a rooted one, When we do talk about rooted phones It gives you privileges to modify the software code on the device or simply means you unlock it beyond manufacturer default settings. You can actually unroot your phone but if you are not expert on that thing then better not to do it because you would really just brick your phone.
4645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ICO s that guarantee success -> Real market demand for utility token on: May 27, 2018, 10:01:48 PM
I do not know if there are any ICO in which you can invest without fear, I think not! And choose from 100 can be 10, and from an effort 2 which seem more promising
Hesitations would really be always there specially when they do proclaim or do somehow assure you that you would profit. Just like what op said with this line "getting the biggest bang out of your buck."
The business model is ideal and good but giving out assurance is not really a good thing or indication on my investment ideas. It already raises a red flag for me.
4646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO SPOT SCAMMY ICOS? on: May 27, 2018, 08:43:17 PM

Anonymous isn't good for those ICOs, thats what the team should have in mind. If they keep themselves anon then maybe its better to just invest when the token they are selling to you are already in the market or if they have proved themselves to be developing the project well. It doesn't matter if you buy the tokens for a higher price so long as you aren't scammed.

This line isnt advisable and its too risky if the project wont go well in longer runs.

It doesn't matter if you buy the tokens for a higher price so long as you aren't scammed.

It feels like you had been scammed if you bought high then the price went down yet you would still lose money but still much better since you do still had money left unlike on scam where all of your money will fly away.
4647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Refurbished HTC one and security issues and Chinese seller on: May 27, 2018, 08:08:19 PM
I bought a refurbished HTC one from Ali Express. I can not use netbank on that mobile as netbank shows security warning and netbank app does not work on that phone. But I use that phone to send and withdraw coins from wallets. Is there any possibility to be hidden app or malware that can send my wallet key to someone(hacker)? Is it risky to use that phone for wallets.
Any device can really be possibly be prone to any malware specially you do purchase it online without knowing on whose the real owner. If installing applications and causes some error then if you have doubts then why would you risk? Its better to avoid things rather than on regretting in the end. Even on my smart phone i do know its a brand new one but still i cant entrust the full information of my wallet belongings.
4648  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-26] South African Police Investigate $80 Million Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme on: May 27, 2018, 06:25:05 PM
The South African Police said today it has launched an investigation into an alleged fraud that has claimed more than one billion Rand ($80 million) in bitcoin from 30,000 investors.

WOW this is a very large number of people and by value means that there were people who invested in this scheme a good amount of money

“Members of the public are believed to have been targeted as part of the scam and encouraged by BTC Global agents to invest with promises of 2 percent interest per day, 14 percent per week and ultimately 50 percent per month.

how can anyone believe in these kinds of returns? I know there are a lot of people who invest in hyip sites and look at the hyip sites as a game, but here we are talking about 30,000 people, how the heck have so many people been deluded with this project? because I have not seen so much advertising on the internet, so how can they have reached 30,000 people?

I don't believe they didn't know it was Ponzi or a pyramiding type of "Get Rich Quick Scheme". At 2% interest per day, it's a huge return on investment and so, they should ask themselves where would this company invest their money to be able to pay them that 2%/day interest rate? That's not possible, but because of greed even though they know the risk involved they continue investing because they want to earn money “the easy way”.  Cry

Its always been part of human nature on being greedy and who doesnt like to earn big profits in a short period of time and without any work?I do believe that people who joined most of them aware on the risk but still they decide to go on just for the sake of trying out or embracing the risk behind. So sad for those people who join up late and lucky for those who join up on early days of that scam company.
4649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: many altcoin price are natural level on: May 27, 2018, 04:48:19 PM
one week over many altcoin still natural level . like us if you see binance many altcoin price some shatoshi up and down . but day by day price going dump bcz bitcoin going dump . i am holder , and i wish in june all cryptocurrency will pumping. what do you think?
Why people do talk always on the month of June? Whats actually on this month? I dont see any reasons for pump but all do have the possibilities and people keep on speculating and making presumptions on this upcoming 3rd quarter of this year. We wont know if it would happen or not but still we shouldnt really expect too much and the most important thing you should do is that when you do see some percentage gain you should really know on how to take profit and took advantage with that movement.
4650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit withdrawal still pending? on: May 27, 2018, 04:18:18 PM
Is it normal for a pending withdrawal to be a 0 confirmation after 3 days? Losing money because my withdrawal is still pending and no answer to my tickets. Contacted a moderator/admin in the chat and he told the technical team will get to it. What do I do now, wait it out or is there another way to contact them?
Even if you do find out another way but still you would really end up on waiting because everything should really need to be fixed for that withdrawal to go through and you are lucky that someones do answer you in the chat because Yobit is known to be horrible when it comes to support matters when you do face issues or problems. Just pray and hope that it wont took so long for them to resolve or else your money will be pending for a long period of time.
4651  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hitbtc death? on: May 27, 2018, 03:28:50 PM
Hitbtc is low volume now, and mostly bots trading, makes it really sad.

What do you mean low volume, they are amongst the top 10 trading platforms with at least $300M per 24 hours. I don't know about the bots though, because I haven't use any on my trading, plus I did trade on HitBTC and was able to withdraw without any issues. So I can't judge them unfairly.

But the good news is that there are a lot of trading platforms out there, good options if you are not happy with HitBTC then we can register on others and see it your self. I even traded on Livecoin before, which has a volume of around  $30K today. So there's always that risk, it just up to us how to mitigate and used our common sense.

I dont know why these people do proclaim things which isnt true and without any proofs yet as a trader we do know the current standing of hitbtc when it comes to volume and overall ranking in the market.Where we can definitely say that this isnt dying and as you said there are lots of options of exchanger if we dont like a particular exchange its just really a matter of users preference in the end.
4652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is IDEX exchange legit? on: May 26, 2018, 09:29:42 PM
IDEX is one of the legit exchanges and I used it twice for selling my tokens. I would say it's like EtherDelta and Forkdelta the interface is quit intimidating for first timers.
I do agree that if you are first timer on using up these decentralized erc20 exchanges you would really be confused on their interface but somehow they do really have guidelines which would really be suggested anytime to read up before using up the exchange.
Yes IDEX exchange is legit.  idex support a lot of 20token REC.  you can buy sell token on idex.  Sometimes idex is also often unpredictable.
What unpredictable? Its always been unpredictable when it comes to prices just like on other typical popular exchangers too the difference on here is that this is a decentralized ones but rest assured this is legit.
4653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Buy and Hold on: May 26, 2018, 09:17:43 PM
Yes, long-term investment gives you a better chance of not losing money than intraday trading.
When it comes to risk then you are correct simply holding for long term would really somehow give you the chance to make profits without worrying too much on the price on daily basis since you are holding for longer time then you are expecting profits for more months or years but there are people who do loves to risk out and do short trades which is indeed can make you money more than or compared on just holding it up.
4654  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-25]Sberbank Attempts to Launch Russia’s First Initial Coin Offering on: May 26, 2018, 08:00:18 PM
To be honest, I did not expect such a decision from Sberbank of Russia. Until that time, Russian banks were categorically against the introduction of any crypto currency in any form. Even advocated the introduction of criminal liability for the use of crypto currency as a means of payment. It seems that the crypto currency will develop in Russia. If this one of the most popular banks in Russia enters their tokens, then other banks will follow its example.
I really dont consider for a coin to be called a "Cryptocurrency" when government do make their own tokens this wont really be far to be considered to be e-cash or e-fiat. All centralized things cant be called as crypto.
Countries which do accept and do create their own coin i would really not be surprised for other countries to go with the trend as well when they do saw other countries is doing it already.
4655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Argentinian Bank is going to use Bitcoin For Cross-Border Transactions on: May 26, 2018, 07:00:41 PM
There are a lot of options for doing this and I'm not sure Bitcoin is the best suited, but as long as it meets their needs I'm in favor of it. Seems like something like ripple is designed for precisely this type of thing.
Same thoughts and views which it is somehow impossible for bitcoin to be adopted in terms of this kind of use which i do rather believe centralized coins would be considered to be adopted or to be applied or implemented but still a good news to everybody yet this adoption is a positive one and might be an eye opener for some countries and might make the same move later on.
4656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable? on: May 26, 2018, 05:52:23 PM
How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable?

Theres no specific time on where your investment on ICO would be profitable since not all the time where coins do hit exchangers do guaranteed it would hit up higher than the ICO price since there are cases where it do drops lesser than on the sale which would end up for its investors to be on loss and would wait up for the price to recover. As an investor you should really not expect anytime to profit and this is always part of the risk.
4657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trade history in day trading - What do you think? on: May 26, 2018, 04:50:52 PM
- What do you think about this result? I know that it is a very small amount of money, but I want to elevate it to an entire btc (lol)\
As long you are making profits on your own trading ways then you are definitely doing fine since not all people can easily make profits with trading.

- Should I change the Exchange that I'm using?
Any exchange would be used doesnt matter since it doesnt affect on how for you to be profitable,it always matter with your skills.

- Would it be a good idea to keep updating my balance history to everyone watch? I will not withdraw any amount of money til I get 5 btcs in that shit..
I think that Would be cool to make it live using the exchanges APIs, but I don't know how to do this :d

I know that you are getting pumped up but always remember on the risk and stay on the path and dont get greedy when you are profiting.
4658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What do we excpect from the future? on: May 24, 2018, 11:35:43 PM
After reading almost more than a half of it with excitement, I realized that it is a promotional article of a project but not a economical discussion.  Grin
I guess this thread, after a few adjustments, belongs to Marketplace (Altcoin) section if it is about a project not involving Bitcoin.
Get used to it yet there are lots of similar post which do make some interesting topic title and introductions but mostly they do end up on promoting a potential project. It isnt really bad but sometimes it do really stop our excitement when we do try to look for an interesting topic. Its not bad to have promotional ads yet this is a forum after all.The thing here if you dont like to read up the entire article then its better to jump or skips directly on the last sentences. Grin
4659  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the alternatives for Bitcointalk? on: May 24, 2018, 11:00:27 PM
Several forums similar to Bitcointalk have existed, but none had succeeded. I'm not sure about the correct url, but it is for the altcoins. In that it has got the same form as our bitcointalk.org, such as the ranking, merit, badges, etc. Even some bounty campaigns too were running.

That is really great mate. If there is option to earn money with the other forum newbies who is looking to earn the tokens via bounty will be looking to earn the bitcoin and ethereum if there is option for campaigning there bro.

I have came across many forum and places to earn the money but none of forum will be able to various option to earn the money like doing in this forum mate. You please share the link of the forum you mentioned here.
I also check many forums but in very short period I have no forum like this even too much spam but still we have many opportunities for newbies for good and technical knowledge and as become Sr Member they have good chance for have good amount of money I sure many are doing full time now here on this forum
Spam is inevitable into this forum considering on the traffic instances are high and quite common but you do have some point inspite on having those flaws of this forum but still this is the best place to learn up about crypto.Just take a look only into valuable informations rather than on seeing on spam and useless ones.I cant think any similar bitcoin forum which do have the same popularity as this one.
4660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trust you trading experience and don't panic on: May 24, 2018, 09:29:44 PM
The hardest part is controlling the emotions, making the decision to hold or CL. this requires experience and emotional control.
and panic is the biggest enemy of a trader, forget your token and relax in trading. Wink
If you cannot control your emotions, then i think trading will not work out for you.Trading is all about profit so you should know the best things to do especially if you are facing tough times in trading.Panic selling will make you lose in most of the times but there are times also that it will create a positive result than just holding your coins throughout the year. The desicion is all yours that's why you have to be flexible and cautious all the time.
I must say that that having a good control over your emotions is the very first step towards making of some good earning whether you are there in the world of trading or busy in doing any other investment or business. If you are not having this quality within your personality, then there is nothing good which you can expect to have and that you will hardly be able to have something better.
When it comes to investment and even on just normal activities on life.Emotion control will really have a big effect on the things we are engage on because if we can able to control this thing and we do really have that patience. Then we can calmly do things that we must supposed to do into these unexpected circumstances specially on trading where we do engage on volatile price and we are talking and risking our money on here, calm mind and proper preparation and back up is needed.
