Is there any working pool to mine CROWN ? iSpace Mining Pool stopped working today.
no. as you can see here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/crw/#!extraction
, there is only one known pool: infernopool - but it's website is really bad, you do not get any information about CRW there..

I was mining CRW here yesterday with no problems

ffs I'm going to be honest. Stop hardforking.

Hardforks are a sign of progression. Doing it improperly is a sign of inexperience -_- we still have some things to learn. But at least we're not afraid to admit it Wink
No that's BS
Every time this coin look like it has progression it gets hard forked, you are not going to be able to take it to the next level fixing things that are not broken.
Do you realize how annoying it is to update to the new client only for it to be re updated days later then log in and see that your master nodes are not on the correct fork . You guys know damn well I support this coin but I also am going to give you honesty.

AS I said it was something that was not seen during testing, and it was unexpected during release. We are taking responsibility for the issue.
What about the money the team has put toward rentals. Or the hours dedicated to fix the network? Or updating the services that we have. Believe me when I say none of us are happy about it either.
Your windows clients do you have the .zip for them they are as tar on the download links on forum ann page. Also, I may be on the right chain I will look more at it tonight when I have time. I was one of the first to update pre release so I doubt it.

You should be able to download the .tar.gz and extract it the same as a .zip, Once you download the new client it should automatically connect to the correct chain. as it is now the longest and most valid.
My mistake I have a PM from you guys a few days ago about the new update and links provided, sorry for being rude regarding everything. (got out of wrong side of bed trolface)

No problem that was me this morning too, and chaositec when he woke up to find out -_- lol definitely not intentional, and we tried to keep as many people updated through the process as possible.

It was probably a good thing I was under general anesthetic this morning Wink

urban_idler lost it a bit last week too.  Just goes to show how hard we're working, how tired we are and how much we care tbh.

We fucked up but we're also getting it under control and taking responsibility for it.  I'm lucky to be part of this team.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 08, 2017, 04:15:59 PM
C-Cex is on the correct chain.
is there a deeper insight on this.. or just "we all do what the exchange does", because money ?
i am really unsure.. please explain us, what happens..

chain "chainz" ist stuck for 28 minutes, so we have probably less than 10 TH there
"blockpioneers" runs smotth with 700 TH...

I totally see where you're coming from.  Traditional views are that you should always allow your users to be able to access an exchange if you fork.

Give us a couple of hours to come back to you on this.  It would be a lot easier to just go with the longer chain.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 08, 2017, 03:03:06 PM
net split?

http://crw.blockpioneers.info is on Block 1245449
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/crw is on Block 1245356 ( all by Infernopool )

i have now the new version. but i can not create new blocks and i only see 2 masternodes..
redownloading blockchain now..

You are correct, blockpioneers is on the "incorrect" fork.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 08, 2017, 02:28:23 PM
are there some problem with correct fork? I can see that my linux box is at block "blocks" : 1245444, windows wallet on "blocks" : 1245530 and i didnt receive windraw from c-cex to my windows wallet so this look kind a strange...

As above, there is a fork.

Please use the addnodes that infernoman has posted.

This is the correct chain to be on. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/crw/
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 07, 2017, 03:44:34 PM
Bigmo thanks for your comments!

1. Trezor and slushpool - yes push them if you have the opportunity to help this

Yes, there is definitely few areas how I can help. Lets dicuss this on slack.
2. Notary service - this feature is a very important one, I would like to see it running on Crown. Who will make it happen?  Wink

I´m aware of it and thats way a pointed out this feature. Lets discuss on Slack
3. Logo - good idea, pls take it from here http://crown.tech/history scroll to the bottom, anything else you need?

Ok, I will try to use the logo from there.
4. Thrones on a browser - we will discuss in the team, for me it is a good idea! Ok, cool. I think this definitely think to atleast considerable to think about:-)

5. SSL Certificate, this should not be a problem, the question is if this has real added value. Let me look into it.

Well the biggest added values are as Stonehedge mentioned. You are building application platform with the highest level of security on the market so you should show to everyone that security is your top priority.

Defunctec - no problem I´m happy to help where I can. Looking forward to be added on slack and discuss this is details.

I´m syncing the QT now. The UI looks great and it is definitely good step forward from the bitcoin qt UI.

Just 2 quick comments before I sync the wallet and will be able to test it.

1. In Transaction history tab when you want to sort trans. there is Darksent text left which remains the wallet has being cloned from Dash it is not a big issue not at all but good to think to update the text with some next wallet release.

2. Second think is the logo with the light blue color is hardly visible as a windows icon on taskbar. It is not a big issue again but people with worse vision could have problems:-)

3. Why does Windows QT client does not include Thrones tab which has being showed in the screenshots before?

1. Darksend, we will take it out
2. Good point, we will change the color of teh logo in the windows icon on taskbar
3. Infernoman took the Throne tab out, since the tab was not useful there. you set up thrones through a vps anyway. @infernoman?

Ok, thanks for your answers.

I have managed to download and sychnronize the whole block chain which has around 6GB now.
Anyway now I´m getting synchronization failed error while synchronizing additional data at 50% of the progress.
The progress bar says... syncing sporks, syncing thrones and then it gives the sync. failed error.
I will try to reindex the wallet again and will see what happen. I´m on Win10 using 64bit version.

That message is to be expected until a few more people update their nodes.  Just leave it running, it should resolve as more updates happen.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 07, 2017, 09:45:19 AM
I've been unable to start a throne on my local machine and would appreciate any guidance in doing so. I'd love to set this up on a vps, but my time is extremely limited with work and a newborn.

After creating a throne in the thrones tab and entering my vp4 address:9340(as this was the port indicated in eightspace's video) and sending 10,000 crw to the address generated, I logged into my router and port forwarded to 9340 for my local machine. I then generated the config file editing port= with 9340 and replacing the text within crowncoin.conf. When I attempt to start the throne I get error: could not allocate vin for collateral/address. Any ideas?

you need to wait 15 rounds before you can use the collateral, also go into the debug window ant type "throne outputs" this will show valid transactions for use with a throne, also since your running behind a firewall, you need to add your external ip to the config file with externalip=yourexternalipaddress:port

Didn't work. I have both ipv4 and ipv6 addresses. my external ip shows as ipv6. would this need to be added to the config file in place of the ipv4 address? if so, would it need to be separated by periods instead of colons with the colon at the end indicating the port number?

Sorry for the delay in helping you.  Everybody is working hard to test the new release.  It would be a good idea if you waited until it was available before getting your Throne running.  Both to save you time and due to the fact that the new wallet fixes a crazy number of bugs.

I *think* it will be ready today.

Oh no problem, I'm appreciative of all the advice I've received. I'm hopeful I can carve out a little time Wednesday to download the new wallet and give it another shot through a vps instance. The new design looks fantastic and along with the recently released whitepaper, shows a strong commitment from the crown staff.

No problem, let us know if you need any help.

Just updating my Thrones.  New wallet seems really stable on my remote servers but having problems with my local dev server.  Probably an environment issue though, trying to work it out now.

I've never watched a project run by a developer who has no concern about the user's feelings and expectations...

Imagine the outcry if Peter Wuille or Gregory Maxwell based their decisions on some PR-Investors "feewings"....
You really just don't get it, do you?  Grin

If I run a bakery selling bread, and some guy comes in and demands vegetables, and then starts fudding because his "feewings" are hurt...
... why would I be concerned about this guy's expectations?
I want to bake the best bread in the world and make my customers happy.

So why would I care about centralized blockexplorers when I am selling decentralized solutions?

George, you would do well to stop dismissing people's questions and concerns as FUD.

Greg Maxwell doesn't base his decisions on his user's feelings.  He bases them on the advice, suggestions, knowledge, contributions and even mistakes of his community.  He also responds to people he disagrees with without insulting them.

Are you kidding, do you ever read his reddit comments? (especially the ones he deletes quick)

Lol, fair point.

"He is arrogant to the extreme, destructive/disruptive to social circles and as an extension decision-making (as he must ALWAYS be right), and thus incapable of being any kind of valuable contributor."

491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: February 06, 2017, 09:06:44 AM
I don't want to guess what attracts/motivates people,
I want to "decentralize everything",
which in turn will attract/motivate people who believe in decentralization.

(decentralize everything - you even have it written under your avatar, but why again?)

We shouldn't care about what people think who give a crap about decentralization.
Why should we base our decisions on their feelings and expectations?

BTW, the blockexplorer is just one section within the spreadwallet.

More to come soon... I will need to clean up the forum/website/threads to better explain the spreadwallet/spreadcoin and more.

I believe that too many critical systems in the world are centralised in a way that makes it easier for people to be exploited. My primary belief in decentralisation is that it empowers people to have better freedom of choice.  Secondary to that is the fact that centralised systems are vulnerable and I see too many business disasters on a regular basis.  One day one of those business disasters will have a profound negative impact on a large number of people, not just financially.

I've never watched a project run by a developer who has no concern about the user's feelings and expectations. I see a conflict already...surely you care about what your Patron users think? If you don't keep them happy, the money stops. Its going to be interesting to see how this pans out.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: February 05, 2017, 10:17:00 PM
A few questions if I may.

What attracts people to download Spread wallet instead of using an online block explorer?

Do people people really want to download a wallet and a full blockchain for block explorer functionality?

Just trying to get my head around what would attract somebody to choose Spreadwallet over an alternative.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 03, 2017, 11:02:51 AM
Am I going mad or is ROI really 9 times better for a Crowncoin Throne than a Dash masternode?!

If you look at it per $1000 spent, I think this is how it would work out -

CROWN
$1000 / $160 = 6.25 throne ownership // 6.25 * £15 = $93.75 pm, per $1000 invested

DASH
$1000 / $16000 = 0.0625 masternode ownership // 0.0625 * £150 = $9.37 pm, per $1000 invested

If that's right, that's pretty significant figures. Obviously more nodes would reduce rewards, but price should go up to compensate.

9.3% per month interest which works out at about 190% APR if your 10,000CRW/$160USD collateral stays the same value.

You guys need a countdown until next release Smiley Any idea on when that will occur? I have a mining pool to update as well as wallets for when this occurs and don't want to drop the ball on it. Thanks!

I finished the bulk of the final testing today. Things like salvage wallet and inter-wallet compatibility.

When my new build server arrives tomorrow I'll do final Throne testing which should only take an hour or two. Unless anybody on the team spots something in the meantime that needs fixing I reckon 24 hours is a good estimate

Just noticed this huge reward...

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/crw/tx.dws?defc6d95805940a7f61b1451cefa07532fe1b96939759455b1654d648f124b7d.htm

I noticed it when my client was syncing.. 14 Crw reward for my Throne and 21 to the miner...
Can anyone explain this?

Looks like it is a high transaction fee.  Looks like a miner is doing some wallet consolidation.  Lots of 6 CRW inputs moving to a single output.

497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: February 02, 2017, 01:44:19 PM
Hey guys just letting everyone know where I'm at currently. I'm working on getting the build platform from bitcoin 0.13 implemented. The reason I'm doing that is for ease of use. Rather than having to build and test the clients on each individual OS. After I'm done all we'll have to do is test them. ARM, LINUX, OSX, and WINDOWS will be automatically built and from there released to Github. I've made good progress over the past day and am nearing completion of this.

I'm looking forward to the future of Crown, small additions like travis are game changers for development.

Also looking forward to discussing the first proposal on where the governance funds should be spent, any ideas anyone?

I want to see the Crown platform offer an easy entrance into "blockchain" for businesses that want to dabble in the technology and scale if they want to. I think different people and groups will take responsibility for different aspects of the application suite.  It is possible that the Crown legal entity will partner with companies already established in their respective fields.  Anyway, not too much I can say without divulging ideas I want to keep close to my chest for now.

In the meantime, testing, testing and more testing. I've got a new build machine arriving tomorrow.  Looking forward to tinkering with it.

Progress is impressive right now although I appreciate lots of it is behind the scenes. Kudos to infernoman for seemingly giving up on sleep to squash the last few bugs.

No worries dude .We all know you're cool. That joke account yu created way back yonder just
came back to bite yu in the ass eh?! Wink
Sure did. Smiley

all in good faith ...

thats what all this is about mate ...

some will accept it for what it is ( good faith ) - others will try and manipulate it to make you look like a hoodlum - thats gone rogue as well Smiley ...

we know who you are - and know that you mean no harm by it ...

#crysx

Seconded.

Although lets start the conspiracy theory that Mr Spread and Georgem are the same person...e1ghtspace.  A man on the internet said it so it must be true.

What I don't understand is why they think you are running the alts rather than any of the other people on that list....

That bloke talks about proof but offers no proof!

Would be amazing if he was right and georgem and Mr Spread were alts that you control!  I seriously underestimated you if so  Wink

I have an issue with importing a wallet.dat into raspbian.

I have the wallet.dat on the OS, but I can't access /root/.crown to drop the wallet.dat into.

I know theres commands for this, but i'm really struggling!

Well a good night's sleep must have help me alot... I figured it out.

Without the ##

mv #path to wallet.dat# /root/.crown

Updates can be a ballache for sure.  Lets make sure we make this as easy as possible for people when testing is finished.
