5081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Change rules in bounty programs. on: November 22, 2017, 09:25:54 AM
How do you feel about the fact that in some bounty companies change the date of delivery of reports. Change the amount of coins.
In general, at the height of the advertising company do what they want. I am amazed at this dishonest game. What is your opinion?
Feel pissed specially when you exert lots of efforts to market their company but ends up on recieving less amounts that supposed to be exact on whats being written or agreed before the campaign starts. This is common on where most bounty programs suddenly changed their rules specially the payrates which is really injustice for bounty hunters. We cant do anything about it since they do have the power on the funds and tend to forget it because if we do keep insisting it is still useless because outcome wont really be changed.
5082  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase - Views Please on: November 22, 2017, 09:02:57 AM
I am looking at Wallet options for my mining project in 2018.

Reviewed the likes of doing it myself with the likes of Xapo, Electrum etc; but interested in Forum members opinions of Coinbase for Wallet/Exchange capability.

Anyone had any experience of using their services? Good, bad or indifferent?

Mining project? You mean you will be storing a huge amount of bitcoins right? If thats the case using a wallet where your funds are handled by a third party is not a wise move.
As LeGaulois already explained, Coinbase monitors your activity and if they find something suspicious that is against to their TOS they might freeze your account. And yes, their support is plain crap.

If you have funds to buy a hardware wallet then I recommend you to go for it, They're ideal for large amounts. Or if not Bitcoin core (Full Node) or elctrum (SPV/light weight) should be fine. But please note that you should know some fundamental things about your chosen wallet because in some cases, they won't protect your coins from your careless move/s e.g. when you accidentally installed some unknown application that has malwares/keyloggers etc.
If this do involves mining project then expect we are talking huge chunks on here but depending if the mining farm is on large scale or small but well doesnt matter if we are really looking for the security of our bitcoins that being mined then we should not put in the option on storing it on 3rd parties just like being suggested by most people here. They do have the full control of your funds since you dont have they keys of your wallet into their site.Im sure you dont like that thing? Even myself wont really tend to use their service specially they do have some issues on blocking accounts.
5083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want China be back into Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2017, 08:15:53 AM
I think the answer here is obvious, and it is yes, since we already seen the impact that the Chinese can do when they banned their exchanges we saw a dip in the value of bitcoin, and for sure if they allow their exchanges to operate again and  Bitcoin be accepted again, they can give a big boost to the value of Bitcoin, though we can make it through without China, it is still much better if we all invest in something great.
Just like an old saying that "the more the merrier" and we do know China is a superpower when it comes to things specially on financial aspects (investments, etc). When it would decide to come back again then theres no need to oppose because it will really boost up again the price of bitcoin when their regulation or prohibition have been removed out. Knowing that they do really give impact when it comes to these industry. If they would decide to comeback, then why not? It would be much better if theres a unity on adopting bitcoin.
5084  Economy / Securities / Re: I have access to electricity with 0 cost, need someone to invest in a farm on: November 22, 2017, 07:18:35 AM
hi guys, I have electricity with zero cost and building where we can make a farm (building needs to be reorganized).  I'm new around this topic but researched a lot past 2 days and finally got conclusion that's mining is only profitable with very low or 0 cost electricity so it's nice opportunity  Grin Grin. If someone is interested please let me know. I'm thinking about investment under 50k from the beginning and if everything goes well then we go big  Cool Cool

I'll appreciate if you tell me any other useful places to post all about this

P.S Country : Georgia.  (bitfury invested 100 mln here for building megafarm  Shocked Shocked Shocked)

I have long been in the mining world .. where is there free electricity in this world? even you need a capital to make an electric generator .. you should rethink your idea .. nothing is free in this world ..

if you just make money by cheat I guess this is the way it's ridiculous.
He wont really mind to share up on where he did get those free electricity that he mention. I dont know that this free electricity do exist on where a certain individual can really claim that he has free energy. Sounds amazing and mining would really be profitable on that case but as you said this thing is just possible on cheating someone on where those electricity source came from. I agree on the word that nothing is free in this world which anything has its own cost.On op if he would seek for potential investors then it would be hard to entrust online.
5085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs everywhere, What's your take on them? on: November 22, 2017, 06:34:36 AM
Hello,
Edited my message

What makes you support an ICO ?
Thanks.

Obviously you would want to try and avoid the most obvious scams.

If you don't do your own research and due diligence before investing and you get scammed, then it is really your own fault. ANd there is absolutely no shortage of scams out there at the moment. Every week there is news of an ICO going scam or whatever.

If they contribute positively to community of cryptos and actually has something to offer then you can definitely consider investing. Otherwise, skip and pass.
The main hindrance on this stuff is that we would really find it difficult on researching the potential ones considering on the number of ICO do almost launched on everyday. Community is being flooded by ICO even on the senseless ideas they trying out to create waiting for the devs to see that theres a spark or interest on those projects but knowing people or investor they are now clever and wise upto these day. Being scammed cant be avoided but i would say it is much lesser compared into the past.
5086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Cloud minning to invest my Bitcoins ? on: November 21, 2017, 09:24:10 PM
im new and i now with coud minning , i can win some bitcoins
I want now opinion about this to invest some Bitcoins
Dont bother to engage on these kind of things because instead on earning profits you would definitely lose up either. If you dont like for that thing to happen then just pass on cloud mining and to think off it that most of them are scams, some of them are operating but do have contract duration which wont really be sufficient to reach up ROI since the difficulty do really increase overtime.
5087  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Speed up Bitcoin Transactions with this Simple Tool! on: November 21, 2017, 08:41:05 PM
Please do not download any soft from the links provided.
If you have already downloaded then do not install. Who knows, it may contain malware, spyware etc.

Op created this account just to post those links. So why should you trust someone with those links?

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Exactly. I was surprised at how inviting people were on the first few responses of this thread. You guys need to be much more careful about what you download online. There can be RATs that will easily get into your computers and take any information they want. Especially as bitcoin is going up, be extremely careful with this. Run it in a Remote Desktop or VM if you really want to test it out.

thank you for the information and advice.
it's better to prevent than to happen that is not in want.
All these people that has been saying thanks, I will try it out later, I will check it out later, I will use it later blablablablabla… didn’t anyone of them try it out? Maybe this is a spyware or kind of malware, and all these people commenting trash are just his partners so they can get people to install a stupid software they don’t know about.

Nobody should click on that link, we better wait Lightning Network, though it tarries, it must surely come. And to the op– Thank you, nice try!
These kind of methods are already been bust for quiet sometime.Supposed to be those accounts commenting that they will try it later or any positive response are just alts of OP. Reading at first glance is already suspicious  for me a newbie account with just a single post isnt really trust-able at all.We should really be careful on downloading stuffs online and on random basis specially if given by newly created accounts. Even on old accounts if anything looks suspicious then dont proceed because once your pc would be infected you would really regret later on.
5088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an altcoin on: November 21, 2017, 08:07:03 PM
There were many cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin.

Therefore Bitcoin is an altcoin - and will also be beaten by another altcoin, just as it did itself.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/quick-history-cryptocurrencies-bbtc-bitcoin-1397682630/

The author said "The first known (to me) attempt at cryptocurrencies occurred in the Netherlands, in the late 1980s" in the first paragraph. Emphasis on the word a'ttempt', this means that before bitcoin there had been attempts to make digital cash. When we look back at history there have been attempts do to a lot of inventions, which all failed. Since bitcoin has become successful with mass adoption, it deserves the credit of been a pioneer.

Also lets not forget that cryptocurrency comes with amazing technology not just putting money on phone cards that people used to trade when they had no money, nobody heard of debit cards and other prepaid gift cards.
Very well said and this was i supposed to say too which there are really some attempts in the past about digital cash but all of them failed and also come to think off that those plans of digital cash are centralized not decentralized. This is why bitcoin is somehow specially compared into those coins if they are successfully created. For now we cant really remove the title that bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency and all coins who are after it would really be always considered as altcoins.
5089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do most people invest in wrong ICOs to lose money ? on: November 21, 2017, 07:31:58 PM
This board amazes me sometimes.

All the hyped ICOs are killing people - Bancor, Monaco etc and there is no self reflection.

People need to change the way they participate in projects.

All the rubbish needs to be shunned.

Sectors need to be chosen carefully, and projects thereafter.

REAL energy projects (i.e. NOT asset managers such as wepower, and NOT the pure solar/other renewable energy investment rubbish where crypto is just "added" to the process as a marketing tool) should be favoured, such as Grid+ and Prosume Energy.

Stop following people who have proven themselves useless.
You do really have the point but stopping it would really be useless because there are people who do easily got caught with the hype specially when a certain ICO do really make some sweet words regarding on development, future plans blah blah etc. This is one of the reason why do people choose up the wrong projects which this thing cant really be avoided because its always been part of the risk on this kind of investment.
If you do decide to invest then you should know the risk onwards if you hit the wrong spot.
5090  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do ICO's need licenses? on: November 21, 2017, 06:56:46 PM
I'm sorry I couldn't catch all the opinions, but in my view some regulations are needed for ICOs. It's not about limiting the magnitude of initial coin offerings, but making them more transparent and even attractive cautious investors. Banning ICOs is obviously an extremely poor solution; yet a form of ground rules would be crucial for the success of the future offerings.
Banning them would really be pointless.Just like on what china did on such decision they do ban but later on they would comeback and require it to be legalize because they do see that they can able to make money on those things which banning isnt really a solution and i would rather agree on making them regulated which i do really see the positive effects if this thing would really be implemented. It would really lessen the risk of scam ICO since they are been asked or its compulsory to comply with the rules that have been set out.
5091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase to $100,000 says expert on: November 21, 2017, 05:49:31 PM
As per the report written by max keiser of RT.com. He says, the bitcoin will increase to $100,000 and only top 20 coins will remain stable.

Keiser also blames bitcoin cash for misusing bitcoin name and it is just alt coin and doesn't hold for long time.

see report here https://www.rt.com/business/410252-bitcoin-god-gift-keiser/
Its really good to hear off on these kind of speculations on some people who do have names on some industries but i would say that this thing wont really be possible. $100k price is way too unrealistic to consider even on $50k i would still able not to believe on reaching this price. Come to think off on the situation on where it marketcap would really able to surpass fiat then i cant be sure on what would happen on those times but well no one really knows on what would happen ahead. So lets just sit and relax on possible thing to happen along the way.
5092  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 19 words seed . help please on: November 20, 2017, 09:17:19 PM
Awwwww... bummer there wasn't any coin in it.  Reminds me of when I put Coinbase on buy'n'forget for while... I did that for almost three years.  The sudden increase of Bitcoin earlier this year reminded me that I use to use Blockchain.info to store some of my coin.  I forgot my password but after some work I was able to get it... I had high anticipation for what could be in the wallet since I've been in Bitcoin since 2012.  When it first opened I saw the number 34 in balance and I was stocked!  Bitcoin at the time was around $4000 so I was thinking rollin... but it was actually just $34.  Oh well.

Ahhh man that sucks.
I mined around 40-50BTC between 2010 - 2012. Finally gave up as it wasn't profitable. If I remember correctly the price averaged 2-6$. So I tucked the wallet away. In the meantime, a few new computers and reformatted quite a few hard drives.
Haven't seen any trace of the wallet ever since. This memory haunts me everyday, fuck ,I could have been a millionaire now.

These kind of situation do really suck on where we do missed the golden opportunity to become millionaires on those amounts that we do neglect on those young years of bitcoin which we didnt really expect that it would able to reach the situation as of now.In situation of op i assume that email containing phrases wasnt his own wallet maybe others  Cool . Eagering on opening it up since it is quiet old but when he opened. Viola. 0 balance for you mate and that do really suck and burned our hopes on getting rich. haha
5093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why So Many ICOs — What Does It All Mean? on: November 20, 2017, 08:20:28 PM
The world of cryptocurrencies has exploded like never before in 2017. The price of Bitcoin has catapulted to over $7000 for the first time in its history. There has also been an increase in the number of initial coin offerings (ICOs). According to CoinDesk, since Jan 2017, ICOs went from roughly $300 million raised in total since they began in 2014, to $2.7 billion raised as of October.

Read more about it here
The main reason why ICO is booming up because they do see that theres a strong support of the community when they do decide to launch up a certain good project which would really make profits so easy and the trend goes on and now the reality comes through on which scammers and frauds joined up the action and making their own coin and market them public which do make raised some funds and poof. Theyre gone and scam its investors. They are really many as of now and if we do try to calculate how many % do become success on these ico would really be less than 3% overall. Cheesy
5094  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mastercard and Bitcoin on: November 20, 2017, 07:30:00 PM
Many banks love the blockchain technology.
In my country, our banks is learning about it and trying to adopt the technology, but they're like hating bitcoin.
I don't know why, but wish our banks adopt it fast, too.
Why they hate it? because they cant make money out of it.Thinking off that those banks are greedy bastards which do really aim on making money on services that they would see that would benefit them and seeing bitcoin would really oppose such thing this is why they wont really tend to adopt it but rather use the technology being used on it when it comes on making transactions which is possible by blockchain technology. There are lots already who are interested on this technology which would really contribute and fasten up transactions that can be applied through their service.
5095  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Anyone Experienced Frozen Balance on: November 20, 2017, 05:35:19 PM
Hi Im trying to log into Blockchain.info I can access my CP but I cant see my Balance , its frozen and another panel showing $0.00. Was about to do a split second transaction and get back to other things , now Im stuck. Anyone experienced this today or even before ? Thanks
Dont panic dude there are really times that blockchain do really have these kind of problems and usually they do have maintenance when it do happens. I did experience the thing on having a frozen display and not even showing balance.I have tried up to refresh but yet it is still the same because i do presume its just an error or whatsoever glitch on the system but it didnt disappear which means i it something wrong on the site itself. They are really good wallet and been used for hundreds of thousand or even million bitcoin users.

5097  Economy / Economics / Re: investment mode of btc is best or currency mode??? on: November 19, 2017, 06:59:10 PM
A trend has been started that bitcoin is now used only for raising income by buying and selling it but we are ignoring its most important fact that it was created to be used as currency and if it can be used as the currency it would really help community to enjoy its eases and regions who are accepting btc must have to start it as currency this will automatically boost user no's as well a prices,
If we do tried out to read up again the whitepaper of bitcoin then we would really able to see that bitcoin is created for the sole of innovative new way payment system and investment mode is just a plus which lots of people do really treat it special because of the benefits that it gives to humankind. Currency mode or investment mode no matter which way we do treat it we should be thankful that it has being created but i do strongly believe that most people do see about bitcoin is on investment side because btc does really give huge profits overtime thats why it becomes popular.
5098  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone use YoBit anymore? on: November 19, 2017, 04:03:45 PM
Everyone should stay away from YoBit. The yob2x coin of them is showing their true colour.
Yobit does have a lot of scam coins in their exchange and i am sure they are ones who come up with those coins and hype them in the chat section and then dump when people invest in it and that coin is dead and they will move into a new one and this is happening for a long time.
Thats why we should never ever listen on those people who are telling shills on the trollbox specially on yobit because you would only lose up money when you tend to buy those coins because once they dump then for sure you cant do anything about it and one thing i do observe on that exchange is that there are lots of bots who do pump and dump such shitcoins. One glimpse you would possibly lose it all. There are lots of shitcoins on there thats why i dont trust them and long time ago i do move in more reliable exchange than on this one.
5099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about ICO's on: November 19, 2017, 03:32:17 PM
I know this means initial coin offering.  I also know there is a section of it on this forum.

So what i want to know is this.  When something like this occurs and you want to take part in it, say whatever coin it is, how do you do it?  And when you do, do you need to give them a btc deposit on how much of that coin you want?  When would you know how much that coin costs?

The thing is i want to use an example of a few coins.  For example, i know waves and shift are sort of new... well waves is not that new but shift is.  Well if i heard about waves, i probably would definitely buy this coin because it sounds very good.  Yes i know that sounds foolish to say.  But when waves and shift came out, how many shares do most ppl buy when it comes out?  Do you have to put a deposit before the coin comes out with btc such as i want x amount of waves or shift?  The other thing i want to know is how long does it take for a coin to come out and then it explodes to the point where everyone talks about it on the altcoin discussion or speculation?

And is that subforum here the only way to know about the new ico's?  The issue though is when i visit that subforum, it looks like a lot of spam etc.  Like there are posts everywhere and so many coins etc.  But is there a way to find out what new coins has come out recently?  But if he did come out recently, wouldn't that mean you didn't take part in the ico and you have to buy through an exchange?  Or this would not be possible though because its too early?

For example, when waves and shift came out, assuming you didn't take part in the ico... how soon could you buy waves and shift through bittrex?  Or could you buy it through their website?

The thing is i want to know of new coins that are coming out and then i would research it a bit and then would definitely be interested in buying some of these coins especially if they are very cheap.  I mean i can't believe coins like waves and shift in the history showed that they started out as 20 cents or 1 cent or even less than that etc.

ICO- Initial Coin offering which this is the best time to buy on a certain coin on its possible lowest price or discounted price but talking on being listed on exchanges would really depend on how the developer would update his own creation or token. This is always been part of the risk and when we buy a coin their ANN page would display or tell the investors on what would be the equivalent of tokens you would recieve if you decide to depositt btc. XXXX BTC= XXXX token. It would depend on its pricing. The thing here is that we should select on those potential ones which we can see that would really sustain for long.
5100  Economy / Economics / Re: Does bitcoin really work as real transaction ? on: November 19, 2017, 03:05:44 PM
Maybe it works real transaction like sending money, loading, bills if you have good  internet connection thats no problem about that. But theres people not using internet they want to have transaction to office or branches, they have more that they don,t know what bitcoin is they afraid to use in real transaction but and they dont know how much is currency per bitcoin to there countries thats why they dont buy bitcoin.

This is why fiat currencies would really still remain strong and would still exist for more years because there are still people who do prefer to stick into the old ways rather than on engaging on new ones unless if theres a strict implementation or changes.Bitcoin transactions are real transactions butt do only happen virtually just like the same on transaction online banking but yet bitcoin isnt centralized and thats the beauty of it and why people do really like to use it for anonymity matters.
