Are top altcoins in a long term downtrend vs bitcoin?
if i do try to see my blockfolio all of my holdings are on reds which i do really suspect that the sudden bitcoin price increase do affect this kind of situation which altcoin market have been affected and the reason why we are on bearish as of now but not all altcoins in red because there are still on rising side which going with the trend together with bitcoin.
5362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming Global Financial Collapse and following World War 3 driving up Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2017, 12:39:11 PM
With all these signs and symptoms on TV showing a possible Global economic crisis coming soon around the corner and fears of high tensions of World War 3 is this driving up the bitcoin price to All time highs?
I cant still see that possible global economic crisis as of now and i cant really say that this is the reason why bitcoin is reaching up all new time highs. This is just simply do have lots of demands within the crypto world knowing that there are still people yet doesnt know about bitcoin that they would already decide to engage to bitcoin already. I would not think on these things like crisis.
5363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org a deep web? (Other Questions as well) on: August 12, 2017, 11:11:44 AM
Good day I ask some people if they know Bitcoin, my classmates to be exact they told me that bitcoin is a deepweb that can track you in seconds. I know someone might post if its a deep web than stop using bitcoin. I come to explain that 50 percent I believe because who knows this is the world of Internet who knows
and the other half no because as I joined and months past by I see that bitcointalk.org is full of job potentials.

My question is did you heard that bitcointalk.org is a deepweb and decided to continue after knowing that this website can help you?

May I know how bitcoin sterted? and theories of people about bitcoin?.

(If someone thinks about what I posted please feel free to express your insights about my question and please dont be rude about my question. Also Iam just saying this because I experienced rude post back than)
What the hell did i just read? Better to search on google on what is deep web or dark net. Bitcointalk.org is a forum and its the original bitcoin forum and deep web is just an another place where illegal stuffs have been hidden which you cant find those things if you do try to search on surface web search browsers.
5364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: many ICO altcoin , What can be trusted? on: August 12, 2017, 09:52:55 AM
so the team is most important, looking for those who have good reputation and desire to do real work, besides, the coin checked by the market and time like btc, eth deserve to hold for long term
The team is important but whats more important is the project ,sometime we think based on the team and seems not reliable because they are new to this but their project is a very well planned for future use.
I do always see on its team which i do usually go into the project which do have an experienced group of people rather than on to those who are new into this industry because i would really have a strong trust to those devs who do have knowledge on this stuff and most likely to make success on their project. There are lots of ICO and choosing which one of them is very confusing if you dont know how to find one.
5365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't regret take action now! on: August 12, 2017, 06:22:10 AM
Changes are still very high in cryptocurrency! With the right attitude and creativity you can still become a millonair! But you have to grab your changes now because regulation will make it more difficult!
Regulation? I cant still see that it can affect cryptocurrency world. Yes, we can still be millionaire on this field but would really depend on how we gonna engage to it wisely. Buying randomly on coins wont really assure you that you would able to make big money later on and this is part of the risk on engaging to it. This is the hardest part as an investor and at the same time to be a trader.
5366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How sustainable is bitcoin? on: August 12, 2017, 05:53:07 AM
Hello,

So if I'm to understand this correctly, difficulty is getting harder right? so what if it gets to a point where its just extremely hard to mine and supply gets so tightened that regular users are out of game altogether from mining.

Now -it can only be purchased and very limited quantity? won't that end up becoming same like fiat money? few control the interests of others?

Rich getting richer ? I understand the concept of sharks eating small fish and what not -I also understand that recession and progression are part of business cycle but computing isn't going ahead at a pace where we can continue to mine -so what's the path? just collect and that's it?

TIA
I do got your point and things you do said is somehow real and would really possible to happen because there would really be some instances that people would just hold up their bitcoin because they know that the price of it would really be valuable even more on upcoming years to come. Dont worry too much on difficulty to rise up since there would be always new miners would really do the job and also the last supply of bitcoin to be mined would be on year 2120+ as far as i know ( correct me if im wrong)
5367  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: August 12, 2017, 05:20:28 AM
Funny looking back as this thread and how people are keeping it going from 2016.

Have you ever panic bought Bitcoin?Huh Why or why not?? Smiley See what I am doing there hehe.

If anyone here wants to have some decent advice, panic buy on a dip. You only lose money when you sell for a loss(that is up to you). If you really need access to that money or need to buy something with BTC then do it. But if you don't really need to do it, know that you are spending something now that is only worth 3,700 USD and later will be worth hundreds of thousands.
They have to realize that the rate bitcoin is moving it might reach that big price which before we think it's impossible.
Some even believe that we will not reach the ATM easily after the Mt. Gox incident but look where we are now, the fear of the people
was already eliminated and they are now confident.
Seeing on the current price of bitcoin which it can really give us confidence to buy even more and all the speculations on those people who said that we would really reach new heights on a short period of time is really happening as of now. Panic selling is just really a dumb thing to do as of now on bitcoins price better to hold off than to sell on loss. Now we are almost hitting $4k price which is really amazing.
5368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie question about BTC and BCC split... on: August 12, 2017, 04:23:11 AM
Hi there I'm brand spanking new to the forum and I was wondering about something I was reading you guys discussing. I've been reading you can split BTC into BCC and make some kind of "free profit." My question is would it be worth it to a newbie like me to do such a thing or just hang tight? I've been reading mixed things that you can sell BCC and others saying you can't. Would really appreciate some clarification on all this. Thanks!
If you dont have Bitcoin held on a wallet which do have private keys before on that fork event on August 1 then its not possible to claim BCC (Bitcoin Cash) yes its really a free profits or money for those people who do have bitcoin on their wallets since they can easily import their keys on the wallet who do support BCC. Which is really great and for now seems like you are too late and dont bother on this thing.
5369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Realistic Income As a Crypto Trader on: August 12, 2017, 03:56:54 AM
Hey guys,

I'm curious what a rough amount of income someone can generate from trading cryptocurrency is (monthly or annually is fine). I know there is a wide range depending on skills and also on capital used to trade, but I'm just looking for a rough answer.

For example is it basically impossible to make $1M a year just due to lack of liquidity? Or do only the absolutely best of the best make that kind of money? Thanks in advance for your help!

A little background about me:

I'm new to the cryptocurrency trading world but not new to trading.

I worked as a quant trader for a big name for a few years, but decided to leave recently and don't particularly want to go back to that lifestyle. It paid extremely well but I much prefer working from home. I currently have about a 50k bankroll I could start with.

My current full time work since leaving my vanilla job is as a political prediction trader here in the United States. I'm able to generate about $12.5k a month there (150k a year) with about 20hr/week of work but because of size limits on trading (for regulatory reasons) it seems hard to advance must past the $250k range, and that's only when markets get busier during election season. Wouldn't matter that much if I spent 40 hours or even 60 hours, just the liquidity is limited and the sizing of trades is limited.

So I do have trading experience but obviously every market is different. I understand fully that I would have to spend a while before I could consistently generate profit trading cryptocurrencies. My first year on PredictIt.org I made $1000. This year I expect $150,000 on a starting amount of $5,000.

EDIT: I plan on doing everything above board while trading, especially taxes. My trading style is usually short term day/swing trading currently. I don't plan to speculate what the next coin to make a 5000% jump is.

Thanks.
If you ask me the possible realistic income as a crypto trade would really be unlimited and range-less because we do know crypto market is so vast and prices would go in higher ranges which could really possible give us 1000% percent return in an instant but depending on the coin which means its still not guaranteed on how many percentage we do make since not all coins would pump just like that.

5371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Altcoin on: August 10, 2017, 03:30:43 PM
What is the common difference between bitcoin and altcoin ?
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world and other crypto create after it was considered as altcoin since they are just following the same concept of bitcoin majority of them. From the word itself. "Altcoin" its an alternative coin besides bitcoins but there are lots of altcoin in the market which do have potential which do have some features that you can see on bitcoin but yet the crowd or community do still have the strong trust to the original one.
5372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will ico bubble burst? on: August 10, 2017, 01:57:54 PM
A lots of new ico coming everday.Abundance can reduce the value. Every ico wants to get as much as they can.Do you guys think this ico bubble will burst soon?
Seeing there are lots of ICOs and as you said abudance would really reduce the value since the investors would really be splitted up and as we see already there are lots of ICO do really fail now and didnt able to reach out the cap which is really a sad thing to know as of these days but talking about the bubble burst we would able to say such thing when they do hit up on exchanges since we are talking about their prices.
5373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: August 10, 2017, 01:27:44 PM
Investments in bitcoins should be made in a long term basis and short term investments suits only for altcoins.Bitcoin does not give huge returns in short period of time.Bitcoin price has raised from $850 in december 2016 to around $3380 today in just eight months. So,longer,we hold bitcoins, larger will be the profits.

Yeah if you want to make good profits in bitcoins then you should have patience to hold if for a long term as you cannot make huge profits from it in short term but make sure that you sell your bitcoins when you are making good profits from it instead of getting too greedy.
You can still possibly make huge profits or money on trading bitcoin on shorter times but it would depend on how you gonna execute a good trade price do fastly move on bitcoin and buying onpoint on the price is risky and once price would go down you would just simply wait and go for long term. You do have lots of choices to do. Long term would really be good on bitcoin because price do increase as the years goes by.
5374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is icash name changed? on: August 10, 2017, 01:01:49 PM
Yes Icash has been swapped to PURA coin but as usual yobit wont change it until they getup from the sleep. it is clearly given in their official bitcointalk thread. Dont trust yobit as their have been swap so just go and check details and then trade .
This is why yobit do really sucks a lot because they are slow on updating things even the devs of a certain coin do already announce such changes but still they didnt still update the coins which would really give us a doubt or confusion later on because we do trade on two different name of coins on between exchanges. Icash do changed it name already and yobit has to changed that name too to avoid confusion.
5375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: August 10, 2017, 12:31:44 PM
trading is good if you take it as your habit, because trading need your concentration and focus.

Some people are not really for trading i suppose. Not everyone has the nose for trading and if you don't have the heart for all the ups and downs, the excitement, the losses, then better stick to holding coins. There's nothing wrong with that as well as you're almost as sure to profit anyways though not as big and not as fast as trading agressively.
I totally agree with you, some people literally wants to earn instantly in trading, but as we looked into it or from some of the people having further experience in trading, holding a coin is also one of the strategies a trader can make. Never think about losing while you can still hold for it and wait for the time til it goes back or the price rises up until you gain profit and decide for it whether sell or still hold.
If you do still hold off into your coins it cant still be considered as a loss since you didnt make a cut loss which is really an advantage for you as a trader but the risk is always there for you to lose up because we wont really know if the coin would still pump or not. Trading do really sucks if we do make losing trades but having these kind of losses cant really be avoided even on the professional ones do commit these loses.
5376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts on MobileGo on: August 10, 2017, 11:50:35 AM
Sikka157 , Mgo is still not listed on any major exchange, however you can buy it on liqui.io  Smiley

Liqui can be seen as a major exchange as it offer mostly new tokens, I think adding it bittrex is easy, as to poloniex they don't add any coin for a long time.
No it isnt, i cant consider that liqui.io is a major exchange because if we do talk about major exchanges we would able to see the trade volumes that is happening on such exchange. Liqui.io isnt really a bad choice though since most of recently launched coins do usually end up on these kind of exchanges which you can able to trade it up. About MGO i do believe this would wake up soon to its price.
5377  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin's Aide Seeks $100 Million to Rival China in Bitcoin Mining on: August 10, 2017, 11:22:39 AM
Quote
A company co-owned by one of President Vladimir Putin’s internet advisers plans to raise the cryptocurrency equivalent of as much as $100 million in a push to help Russian entrepreneurs challenge China in bitcoin mining.

Russian Miner Coin is holding a so-called initial coin offering, where investors will use units of ethereum or bitcoin to buy new RMC tokens. These new tokens will have rights to 18 percent of the revenue earned with the company’s mining equipment, according to a presentation posted on its website.

RMC plans to use semiconductor chips designed in Russia for use in satellites to minimize power consumption in computers for crypto-mining, Putin’s internet ombudsman, Dmitry Marinichev, said at at a news conference in Moscow.

“Russia has the potential to reach up to 30 percent share in global cryptocurrency mining in the future," Marinichev said
, adding that $10 million from the proceeds of the ICO may be spent developing the processors.

More and more startups are offering tokens as a way to raise money upfront for digital assets in ICOs. Unlike a traditional IPO in which buyers get shares, a startup’s ICO nets you virtual tokens unique to the issuing company or network that grow in value only if the business proves viable.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last month warned that ICOs may be considered securities and signaled greater scrutiny of the sector, though it stopped short of suggesting a broader clampdown.

Today’s bitcoin mining requires special computers based on chips with minimized power consumption. China’s Bitmain Technologies Ltd. is one of the leading producers of such equipment and also runs Antpool, a processing pool that combines individual miners from China and other countries. Rival Bitfury Group, founded by Valery Vavilov, a Russian-speaking native of Latvia, produces equipment for mining virtual currencies and runs large-scale centers in Georgia and Iceland.

Russia has 20 gigawatts of excess power capacity, with consumer electricity prices as low as 80 kopeks (1.3 cents) per kilowatt hour, which is less than in China, RMC said in the presentation. The company initially plans to locate mining computers based on Bitfury chips in individual Russian households to challenge Bitmain by using Russia’s lower power prices.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-08-08/putin-s-aide-seeks-100-million-to-rival-china-in-bitcoin-mining

Tried to bold the most relevent parts.

Good news for those favoring a decentralized btc mining paradigm. Miners becoming more decentralized could reduce probability of hard forks in the future. This could translate to diminished volatility. Much of bitcoin's negative volatility has been due to uncertainty, fear and sell offs derived from hard fork worst case scenarios. If japan, australia and other nations invest in mining operations that could further decentralize crypto mining which would parallel Satoshi's vision for btc not being centralized within national abstractions.

So now it becomes China vs Russia on the coin investment and coin mining stage huh? Seems like a naked attempt to try and take over the market and the mining.

What if they spend hundreds of millions on mining equipment and have 60% hashing power. That would not be a good thing. We may have to re-think Bitcoin somewhere in the future if this happens. No government should be investing in this, the whole point of BTC is to get away from it... ughhhhh
This is what im thinking too because they are already serious on engaging on bitcoin already which they do compete already on mining it. If russia would decide to jump in on the trend then we cant do anything about it expect for mining difficulty to jump up. I guess its just really right since i dont really like the feeling that china do all have the power as of now.
5378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to verified my bittrex account ? on: August 10, 2017, 10:53:24 AM
Yes I think you need to verify your bittrex account because as I have discovered lately bittrex lowered down it's daily withdrawal rate and I think you need to verify some things so it will be increased instead of the 0.025 minimum daily withdrawal.
Stop with the fake information. You either are blind or a blatant signature poster. If you read the above thread, you could see OP already posted that they managed to create a legacy account without having to submit any document verification,0.025 withdrawal limit is a lie, more like a joke. You don't have to fake the data if you can't find anything else to post for.
Why people do say such thing? As i have backread they say that this thing is true but based on my own experience this is just really a lie and a fake information same as you said. Basic accounts do really have much more than amounts regarding to its limit which isnt really small at all. 0.025 is just crazy to say and why do other people do experience this one.
5379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy Now! delay 1 second and lose 1 dallor. on: August 09, 2017, 05:05:38 PM
It's really that time is money, if you buy delayed, you will lose.

you do realize that it is already late and you have missed the cheap coins of this month.
i am not saying price will go down or stop rising, no. quite the opposite. price will go much higher, but i hate it when people do this, when price is already high they start thinking about buying bitcoin and when it is in a dip and low (like the $1800 a couple of weeks ago) they all stay away scared!

$1800 was the time to buy and laugh at those who were selling. and $3400 is the time to hold and enjoy the rise and again laugh at those who sold at the bottom. <insert evil laughter here>
Yes,buying at $1800 was a great chance which was missed by many people.I think that it would be the last chance of this year and even for ever too to buy bitcoins at such a low price. But those who have already missed the train, better buy now or else, they may have to once gain regret for not buying bitcoins.
Im one of those person who do regret on not buying on those price points since i do believe that it would still decrease its price on those times but my assumptions do really fail me and when i see the price starts to pump up again i do still wait for the price to dip on 1500 and i did miss those chances and instead i do buy on 2500 price point and its really to late but somehow did make some profits.
5380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop profit on: August 09, 2017, 04:26:03 PM
stop profit 3700?
To re-buy after falling to 3000?
 Huh

If you did bought bitcoin on 3100+ up then hitting profits on 3500 isnt really bad and im sure you would be on profits now when the price rose up and it definitely hits up and now price came back again on 3200+ as of the current writing which it somehow dips again and im sure you do missed that take profits target. 3700 would be too much as of now to consider but it isnt really a bad spot after all because we will surely hit that up sooner or later.
