Something like that has never happened to me and I log in via multiple IP addresses on different gambling websites. Looking at your trust rating, it just seems that you're probably engaging in some suspicious, other than logging in from different IPs.

You could use the 500$ to pay for a decent manager and use your tokens to pay out your signature campaign participants..
This is not a golden formula, and is basically what every token campaign does, but hey, it seems to work, and is allowed by the forum? Seems like the cheapest way to get a lot of buzz going on.
Although i must say, depending on your participants, it could do more harm than good.
I'd personally advise against that. I've noticed that most of the participants in campaigns like that tend to post in the more obscure sections of the forum. Not sure if there is any decent advertising value to be gained through that. Could be wrong though, it's just a gut feeling and something I've noticed with a couple of forum members.

I can only welcome this, even if I'm not a big fan of the people who are behind Gab. I'm personally not using Brave myself, I'm just too used to using Firefox, but a number of my friends have switched to Brave completely.
Doubt that I would switch to this fork of Brave, even though it would be kinda cool to use a browser that supports LN.

Seems that they do charge one flat fee for their service, I wonder how big that fee would be. From the article: “Refundo offers several options to help taxpayers receive their tax refunds safer, faster and more conveniently,” said, Roger Chinchilla, CEO at Refundo. “Adding Bitcoin was a natural fit for our customers who often do not have traditional checking accounts, pay high check cashing fees and regularly send money internationally. CoinRT enables them to get Bitcoin quickly and easily for one flat fee.”
It would be better to have a system like in Switzerland, where you can actually pay your taxes using Bitcoin. Don't know if they also do tax refunds with Bitcoin.

@stomachgrowls Yeah indeed! It was definitely a nice surprise, especially after that last win. Maybe I should also start playing the lottery more often, it's been a while since I'd won anything with that. Maybe my luck has changed

What can you say about this?? Can you really believe a good project with good concept would forcefully invite you into their community without any prior notice??
This is the act of irresponsible spammers, they deliberately save our cellphone number to be entered into an unclear telegram group, we cannot do anything for this only the Telegram can repair the system Good projects will never use the services of spammers like this to add members to their groups, good projects will have their own ways to attract investors Those who use services like this are just SCAM projects Maybe read the entire thread... You can easily adjust your privacy settings, so people can't add you to groups. Someone has mentioned that a couple of posts above you. Invitation without prior notice and done by bots? A BIG NO NO. To avoid those invitations to happen again, do this.
1st : Open your telegram account, go to settings 2nd : Go to Privacy and Security 3rd : Under Privacy, go to Groups then select "My Contacts" as Who can invite you to groups and channels 4th : Don't add any contacts. Just join your desired channel if you wish by getting their TG Profile link then Save.
Those invitations might be a part of bounty campaign or artificial growth of community to attract investors for selfish reasons. Leave those groups and report spam if you wish.
Now, I do think that Telegram should have that function enabled by default.

There's one big flaw with your idea. Why should the senior member give you any part of the profit? What's your part in it, if the senior member does all of the work, by creating and maintaining the thread?
I can just go over to the gambling board, create such a thread and keep all the profit for myself. Why would I even need you? I can come up with an equally good or better idea as yours.

Just a bit of good personal news, I've managed to win around 0.07 BTC the other week, definitely my biggest win in a while. Spent most of it paying for my trip to the UK, which allows me to save part of my regular wage

Looks pretty good, I'm on mobile for the next couple of days, so can only offer feedback on that aspect. I'd start contacting some small-scale sellers on other bitcoin-related shop platforms & ask them to set up a store on your platform.
Would look a whole lot better if there were more sellers, which is why I'm making this suggestion.

We used to do that here on the forum, but that seems to have stopped at one point. I can clearly remember threads back in 2013 and 2014 where people would show off emails they'd sent to companies, asking them to accept bitcoin.
It was actually one of the more fun aspects of this forum and a big reason why I initially stayed active here.
I would welcome more initiatives like that, maybe even start some of my own.
While the intention is good here, this could lead to a lot of spam which the merchants might not like and they might ban crypto related emails completely. Honestly, after the collapse of Bitcoin and other crypto in 2018, merchants have been a lot more cautious in this aspect. I believe that the best path here would be to wait patiently and let them realize the value of crypto and provide BTC as an alternative payment option on their own. Well I don't mean actually spamming businesses, more like sending one email to gauge their response on that. Yeah I don't think they would respond well on receiving a dozen emails in a short amount of time :p

Coinmarketcap already does exclude some volume, but they can go a little bit further than that. It's good that they exlude volume from zero fees exchanges, since people can just increase the volume exponentially.
You can see it when you click on the exchanges tab for each coin.

$500 isn't that much for a signature campaign, you'll only be able to run it for a couple of weeks max, unlesss you pay very little to participants. Paying too little attracts people who are more likely to spam, mostly in threads where people won't see their signature.
You might get lucky with buying ad space though, if you place a low bid and it gets through.
How about buying ad space on other websites? Or doing a campaign via Facebook or Adwords?

Yeah keeping them in an exhange is definitely not safe for long term storage. I'm just keeping them in my ledger nano hardware wallet, which is not that expensive to purchase.
If you have more than a couple of hundred dollars worth of Litecoin, I'd suggest buying a hardware wallet. Ledger puts the Nano on sale sometimes, maybe wait for that.
Otherwise, can also recommend Electrum LTC

We've seen this argument being made a bunch of times already and I've always said that it's based on flawed reasoning. Consuming energy doesn't have to be polluting, I mean you can't fully eliminate the carbon footprint, but you can severly reduce it.
We need to find better ways to generate energy as a society, bitcoin miners are not personally responsible for how the power they're using is generated.
To call it "the ugly side of bitcoin" is a little bit dishonest imo, since there are many other industries that are far more polluting.

I only use the in-game chat and even then I do not really chat that regularly. For me it's really not that fun to talk about gambling, it's more fun to just play.
Don't think I have any actual gambling buddies, I mean I do see some regulars on the in-game chat but that's it.

LOL now that's an idea I'm 100% behind, I mean I'd definitely spend 1000 satoshis just to support this. I've spent more money on ultimately worthless items in games etc. Besides I've been holding off on trying out LN, might just make this my first transaction

There is definitely a big doubts about the fairness of bitcoin casinos and gambling sites. A lot of them are not fair in their dealings. These days, it is quite normal using VPN, many US players have been using it.
Yes, using VPN will allow you to play inside the house, just make sure not being caught or avoid to use large amount of money as the site can hold your bankroll after realizing that you are using VPN they can freeze everything be careful. Usually honest websites won't hold your money, even when you play when using a VPN. They'll delete you account, but will also allow you to get your money back. Using a VPN isn't against the TOS either.

The Gold card: we're required to give the name, DOB, address and this is cross-referenced by a credit reference agency The black card: we need to send a copy ID card and utility bill.
Not really anonymous, but I could still be interested to try the gold card, is the promo (mentioned in the brochure) at £25 available? and the same question posted by someone, what countries are accepted/refused.
If you manage to get the card and use it, consider sharing some of your experiences on the forum. If you have the time for that of course, I'd be willing to give you a tip for it Just keep it in mind if you decide to order it

Do a lot of people still use Yelp?
Yeah, many people use it. Some store even pays someone to create a positive review there. I mean do Tripadvisor have Auto Service section? No, they don't. You say that as if it's something positive... Who wants to use a review website that receives payments to create good reviews... That's what I meant with shady business practices. Well, also the fact that they receive payments to remove bad reviews. Haven't heard that about Tripadvisor...
