581  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin address mentions lookup on: April 22, 2019, 10:04:48 AM
I might be wrong but aren't there a service about address linker with BtcTalk username already exists? I can't remember the name but somehow I remember.

I don't know about a service that ties addresses to Bitcointalk accounts, but there's a service similar to OP's.
https://bitcoinwhoswho.com/

This service also shows you on which websites an address has appeared.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: April 22, 2019, 08:33:48 AM
I think it's considered a little bit weird to gamble with your parents in our culture (western Europe), at least when you're talking about traditional gambling like at casinos.
We do play card games with little amounts of money, which is pretty socially accepted, but I wouldn't really call that gambling.

The stakes are usually less than 1 euro and you don't really play it to win money.
583  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Adsense for crypto website on: April 19, 2019, 05:29:15 PM
It's most likely because Google really doensn't like to place ads on freebie content, like you have on your website.
I don't understand Arabic, but websites that mainly have content about airdrops and crypto bounties will not get accepted by Adsense.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You Can't Be Jobless And Be Participating In Bounties on: April 19, 2019, 04:52:46 PM
Bounty may be an additional job for those who have worked. And it can be the main job for some people, for example students. So back to the needs and concerns of each. But if you are an adult, you should look for your main job and make a bounty of part-time work.

It's impossible to just give a universal answer on that.

Not everybody who works for bounties does this via traditional bounty platforms or bounty rewards.
I work for bounties, but I broker my own deals, it's called freelance work Wink

Companies just pay me upfront and I do work for them. I also get paid in tokens as a bonus.
And yes, I do make a good living out of that, whether we're in a bear market or not...
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why kyc? on: April 19, 2019, 02:01:47 PM
Fully agree, I really don't understand why so many crypto gambling websites require customers to provide them with KYC.
I would personally never provide KYC to any gambling website, heck, I don't even want to give it to most exchanges...

I'll just stick to the websites that don't ask for KYC, there are enough of them, as you've shown through your list Wink
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etheredelta Which one is genuine ?? on: April 19, 2019, 12:50:49 PM
Etherdelta is very safe to use, have been using Etherdelta for the past 2 years and the exchange is very legit and 100% scam free. You can proceed and trade your coin in the exchange, you are very safe.
Really? I don't think decentralized exchange is safe at all. Maybe in some sense but providing your own private key in order to use their platform will just risking almost all of the funds you have.

I might consider to use centralized exchange as I am going to risk just a particular cryptocurrency.

What? You don't have to give the private key of your main wallet...
Just use the private key of a wallet you've just created, which is what you should always do...
587  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need feedback for my all in one bitcoin app on: April 18, 2019, 07:09:31 PM
Isn't there any way around this? I mean image and video support is such a basic requirement for this. Though I can understand that it's impossible to moderate.

The only way possible is to sign every content that your upload, and that we allow direct upload of images and videos. But again I think we are not that big, still getting suid for content can easily happen.

Doesn't the EU have some sort of clause for small startups or something?
I mean they really can't expect you to check every piece of content that's uploaded.

I don't know, I'd consult with a lawyer if that's at all possible for you.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency idiots donate 30K in bitcoin to Rothschild banks! on: April 18, 2019, 03:49:48 PM
I don't know, my personal opinion is that I know far too little about all of this to correctly form my own opinion Tongue
Although I thought Wikileaks had published leaks both for and against Russia at some points.

Actually no, they even refused to publish information back in 2016 because they could not "verify it".
They claimed that information showing thousand of army reports about Russian operations in Ukraine are "insignificant".

Do you have a source on that? Couldn't find anything about it immediately.

Just looking at the following list though, I do see a lot of different leaks from a wide variety of countries.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_material_published_by_WikiLeaks

Not that much from Russia, except for Spy Files Russia.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin cleansing on: April 18, 2019, 03:34:48 PM
Well it would have been better if they had just not listed it in the first place.
I mean, if you know anything about Wright's history, then you would have know that something like this was bound to happen some day.

The size of that man's ego is just enormous and if I ran an exchange I would not want to have anything listed that had his name attached to it.
590  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We should build a seastead on: April 18, 2019, 02:30:44 PM
@buwaytress

Almost can't believe that the Thai government did end up going after them, I can definitely understand them going into hiding, you do not want to end up in a Thai jail.

Jeez (quoted from the article you've shared):

Quote
Whoever does any act with intent to cause the country or any part thereof to descend under the sovereignty of any foreign state, or to deteriorate the independence of the state, shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life.

Better check where you build your seastead and avoid countries that still have draconian laws like these.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: Man who created own credit card sues bank for not sticking to terms on: April 18, 2019, 01:58:48 PM
I'm pretty surprised that the courts actually ruled in this favor.
As someone else had already mentioned in this thread, I'd assume that the contract would be declared void.

I don't think I'm a big fan of this, even if the 'victim' is a bank. It's just dishonest to do such a thing.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 18, 2019, 01:19:37 PM
Sure, why not? If it's a one-off thing, I might be inclined to make a bet on it, could be fun.
Only with insects though, not about to start betting on cock-fighting or anything like that Tongue
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Slot Tournament on: April 18, 2019, 11:47:25 AM
Well, I used to play slots from time to time and I have entered in some tournaments, at traditional gambling sites though.
But I've completely stopped playing slots altogether, it's just way too addictive in my opinion.

These games are designed in a way that really cause people to get addicted faster, even more so than most other casino games.
Plus, the house-edge is just way higher than other games, I know slots that have a house edge of around 8% or more and they're not that rare.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Popularity Soars in Argentina Due to Mass Inflation on: April 18, 2019, 11:20:15 AM
Would you have ever thought that a country was actually considering making Bitcoin its national currency?
I'd say that the chance of that actually happening is pretty slim, but just that the president of Argentina actually met with Tim Draper and discussed it is already pretty amazing.

Imagine what would happen to Bitcoin if we experience another global financial crisis...
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory live video for project developers or team on: April 18, 2019, 10:27:36 AM
This would be almost impossible to enforce, there will still be many scams around.
Besides, that should not be a requirement, how much time would be wasted if every ICO dev had to make a skype call with potential investors.

How about you just do a bit of research of your own and stop throwing money at everything you see?
596  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto-Games.net ⭐ 4 Years Old ⭐ No bet delay on dice every Monday! ⭐ on: April 18, 2019, 10:02:46 AM
crypto-games motto should be:" one day a week, were awesome! the other 6 days we suck!"

Oh come on, the bet speed is already decent if you bet with, say, 100 sats.
I don't understand why you would bet with less than that, it's not worth it, for me at least.

Even betting with 10 sats is still somewhat reasonable if you're just gonna leave it running.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency idiots donate 30K in bitcoin to Rothschild banks! on: April 18, 2019, 08:50:33 AM
I'm baffled how people unanimously defend Assange on this forum, it's like everyone is living under the rock or in some informational bubble. Today everyone knows that Assange has very close ties to Russia, that he is biased and not a free-speech fighter he claims to be. Even anti-government communities, like reddit's /r/Libertarian know this.

I think you'll find a whole range of different opinions about Assange on this forum, just as in the real world.
He's just a very polarizing person.

I don't know, my personal opinion is that I know far too little about all of this to correctly form my own opinion Tongue
Although I thought Wikileaks had published leaks both for and against Russia at some points.
598  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lolli Chrome Extension - Bitcoin Cashback for Online Shopping on: April 18, 2019, 08:41:51 AM
One that pays only in BTC? None, at least I don't know of any, all the sites I have met, because members mentioned them, are really concentrated only on the US audience. Better to use a local website if you're not.
Or local cashback should take interest in Bitcoin, but I doubt they will get a strong demand from their users. Always the same problem for a company, is it profitable...

I've found another similar service that also serves people from outside the US, as long as the website you're buying from ships to your country.
https://www.coinrebates.com

Now, I have no idea if they're actually trustworthy or not. The website looks fairly simple, but that doesn't really tell you anything.
599  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MoneyBadger.io | Opportunity for new owner on: April 18, 2019, 08:00:59 AM
TBH, without awesome stats (I'm not sure 6000 visitors in a week is enough), the site isn't worth 1BTC.

Where are you getting 6000 visitors per week from?

In his thread in the Services section, he shared a screenshot that shows 6000 pageviews over a period of little over 3 months.
https://imgur.com/a/pVXkHOr (screenshot from that thread)

See the date range, 1st of January till the 11th of March.

Edit:
Aha, yeah the graph shows stats per week, but that's not the the rest of the stats, right?
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gambling with BitcoinSV on: April 18, 2019, 07:43:54 AM
Not trying to hijack this topic, but have any gambling websites started removing Bitcoin SV, since Binance, Kraken and Shapeshift delisted it?
Bitcoin SV is is such a media shitstorm right now, I would think that no-one would want to touch that coin anymore.
