861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Rogan and twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in trouble for bitcoin fraud? on: February 08, 2019, 02:35:54 PM
Has anyone even read the article in question?

The fraud part comes in where it's suggested that Jack Dorsey's Cash mobile app is one of the biggest sponsors of JRE.
Then it follows with the fact that Joe Rogan went easy on Jack with the questions, because he's their biggest sponsor.

Now, I have to add that even with those claims, they do not have a solid case.
Joe Rogan often goes very easy on his guests, I don't think that in itself proves that he went easy on Jack specifically because of possible implications regarding his sponsorship.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All The tools You Need To Start As A Webmaster So You Join Bounty Campaigns on: February 08, 2019, 02:14:16 PM
Do you only have this available in PDF?
I generally don't download PDF's from untrusted sources, since they can contain malware.
863  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinAd.media - Crypto Advertising Network for Publisher and Advertiser on: February 08, 2019, 11:57:54 AM
Would it be possible to show which websites are currently displaying your ads?
I might be interested in running a couple of ad campaigns, just to test your service, but I'd like to know on what sorts of websites the ads would be displayed.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China banned ICO's not Bitcoin idiots! on: February 08, 2019, 11:42:58 AM
Only plebs got hooked believing the whole cryptocurrency market is banned in China. I'd say more than 50% here are plebs.

You sound like you're 12. The only people who I've heard using that word are generally under 16 years old.

Of course people are going to misreport this sort of stuff, you can't really do anything about it.
It's just what happens when basically anyone can start their own news website.

A lot of bloggers do not have any standards and will just publish anything without proper fact checking.

EDIT:
Damn it, why do people reply to these old threads. Didn't see the date :-/
865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Introducing the Blockchain news website - very Helpful on: February 07, 2019, 08:12:19 PM
Sorry that it hurts, but like I've said it's the truth.

You could at least change your theme and make it look a bit more finished.
And change your source text below those articles immediately, that's just not ethical to be sourcing them the way you are currently doing it.

If you care about your website, you'll fix that immediately.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Indian government is worried that cryptocurrencies may destabilise the rupee on: February 07, 2019, 02:49:59 PM
It's pretty amazing to read news like this, it really shows that Bitcoin has had quite a bit of real-world impact since it was first launched.
I feel that we'd really need to see another financial crisis before people can appreciate it even more than now.

I do understand the worries of the Indian government. I wouldn't be too surprised of more and more people started to move their money into Bitcoin, as soon as there is only a hint of an upcoming crisis.
That could have the effect of actually increasing the inflation rate.
867  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto cafe (North America) seeking investors and knowledgeable individuals on: February 07, 2019, 01:23:44 PM
Just give the details already instead of posting 'updates' like these.
You're just bumping your topic, which is allowed, but you're not exactly providing anything of value here.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: EU-Japan trade agreement - (EPA) entered into force on 1 February 2019. on: February 07, 2019, 12:57:25 PM
I don't think that this trade agreement would have any direct effect on Europe's stance on cryptocurrency.
That said, it wouldn't be too far fetched to think that this is the sign of a broader cooperation between the EU and Japan on other issues a well.

The trade agreement itself is pretty good news IMO, I'm all for abolishing certain trade tariffs and protectionist measures in certain industries.

It is only trade agreement, but trading involves money and BTC is cryptocurrency. As I say before, maybe in future BTC or some other coin can replace fiat, and Japan will be ready for that because they regulated that sector and they developing the necessary infrastructure for crypto payments.

This is taking a bit of a leap though. While it could happen that cryptocurrency replaces fiat in the future, it's not something you should really hold into account in this case.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are gambling altcoins undervalued? on: February 07, 2019, 12:39:07 PM
I've never really thought about investing in one of these coins that's made exclusively for gambling.
It just really doesn't make sense to my why people would use those coins over already established forms of cryptocurrency.

Part of the fun in gambling, is immediately knowing when you've won big and knowing how much you've won.
Most people already have an idea about the monetary value of their wins when it's in Bitcoin or another popular altcoin.

You don't have that with these gambling altcoins.

alts are cheap and lightweight . you can buy them easily when you are in tight budget and you can transfer them swiftly to your gambling account without any hassel .

If you are concern about your money then you are not playing for fun but you are already playing for the profit .

Yes alts are undervalue but we must not under estimate them because they are also useful alternative to btc

We're not just talking about regular, popular altcoins here, but specifically about gambling altcoins.
Those usually have a pretty low marketcap and not really enough volume.

You're completely missing the point of what I'm saying. I'm all for gambling with regular altcoins, just not altcoins that are specifically designed for gambling.
870  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Introducing the Blockchain news website - very Helpful on: February 07, 2019, 11:48:28 AM
Your website is pure and utter crap, sorry to be this rude but it's the truth.
Not a single original article and you can't even source your aggregated content properly.

Keep this up and you'll have a lawsuit on your hands.

If you even think that this website is even remotely helpful to someone, you're just plain delusional.
Get another job, because you're a crappy webdesigner. My grandma can make a better website than that :-/

872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you participate in crowdfunding? on: February 06, 2019, 02:44:32 PM
Although we live in the physical world with disabilities, I believe that everyone has the right to implement their ideas, unfortunately for this most often the funds are needed which the project often does not have, so collecting crowdfandig is an excellent combination to give those who deserve it.

Is this the best you could come up with? Such a generic comment that doesn't add any value to the discussion.

No, everybody does not have the right to implement their ideas and receive funding for it.
Some ideas are just way too bad to ever amount to anything.

How many people have spent hundreds of dollars on Kickstarter campaigns, without ever receiving a product.
They all invested because 'the idea just sounded so good'.

There's no obligation or accountability to deliver a product, that's what's wrong with crowdfunding.

That said, there are some good use-cases too. Some amazing projects have become successful thanks to crowdfunding.
873  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Placed Bitmain order before knowing about KYC - ?? on: February 06, 2019, 02:02:15 PM
I was not aware of them requiring KYC in order to order, but then how was I able to place the order? I've already payed in bitcoin, will they refund me?

I ordered a couple S15's to ship to US
You had to check it, don't you know that almost every service requests KYC? Even shapeshift too. Bitmain has KYC for some months, as I remember from summer. Maybe try and email them to refund or wait if they ship without KYC documents but I have huge doubt that will happen, in both way they'll require KYC, your money will be in stuck for some time, before they verify you.

I think it's still weird that you have to go through KYC for buying mining hardware.
That's far from the same as using an exchange. It's ridiculous that you have to do KYC for almost anything in the cryptocurrency industry, other industries do not have these sorts of crazy requirements.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Now I know why eSports prize pools go over millions of dollars! on: February 06, 2019, 01:23:20 PM
It is kind of interesting that esports basically have a unique way to increase tournament prize pools, simply by using the sales from within the games itself.
This makes it really unique when you compare it to physical sports tournaments.

I totally wouldn't be surprised if esports becomes more popular than regular sports one day.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Government becoming friendlier to bitcoin on: February 06, 2019, 12:49:51 PM
The Token Taxonomy Act presented by Representatives Warren Davidson and Darren Soto will help bitcoin and cryptocurrency get acceptance for massive adoption. Share your thought.

it probably won't pass. call me cynical, but it's a little too friendly to crypto. tax exempt like-kind exchanges would be allowed, a $600 tax exemption on gains from spending coins, and exemption from all existing securities laws......it reads like a pipe dream, just too good to be true.

Exactly my thoughts, I would be very surprised if this came to pass in its current state.
Now, I would definitely think that they're going to try and tax it more and they're definitely not going to make it exempt from existing securities laws.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I lost 30,000 on superbowl. on: February 05, 2019, 12:25:49 PM
If 30K USD isn't a lot to you, I'm curious what you would consider to be a big loss?
Better luck next time though, might want to consider switching teams in the future Tongue

Also, on which website did you place your bet?
877  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: XEEMCHAT NEW CRYPTO SOCIAL MEDIA LOOKING FOR AMBASSADORS on: February 05, 2019, 11:39:08 AM
I can already see some big lies on your website.

You mention that you're the first paying social network... Completely false, Steem has been around for much longer.
Also, you call yourself the biggest social network, which obviously isn't the case.

Aside from that, your website looks unfinished and like someone's first webdesign project.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What aims have you lost your funds so far in crypto? on: February 05, 2019, 11:19:41 AM
Never lost any cryptocurrency since I started using it regularly since 2012.

Just by using common sense really. I don't keep my coins on any exchange, no matter the reputation it has.
I don't partake in ICOs or airdrops and I'm very careful whenever I send cryptocurrency to someone.

Aside from that, I like to think that I have pretty decent security.
I browse the internet with NoScript turned on, never run any sort of sketchy plugins and I don't just randomly download/run software.
879  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐Crypto-Games.net ⭐4 Years Old ⭐LARGEST wagering contest⭐New Game - Minesweeper on: February 04, 2019, 11:35:50 AM
If you closely read the How to Play information for minesweeper, you will find that the 4BTC limit is enforced by a stop requirement.
"We only accept bets that have a profit smaller than 4 BTC (maximum win per bet), this means your game will not be allowed to uncover additional fields, if your pending win would go over this threshold."
You won't be able to play until the technically possible max multiplier, as the game reaches a win state before that, once you cross the 4BTC limit.
The 4 bitcoin max is a bit confusing. I mean it should be like not allowed but as far as I realize it is just a risk you take and you leave early in the game, normally I think 4 bitcoin should be at the end of the level and that is it, not have it on your 5th tile (or whatever that is called) and get out when you hit the max when there is still game to play, it makes you feel like you can win a lot whereas you just have to leave on the half of the game. However it is still good that it allows you to get out at that moment because I was afraid it would just stuck you there and you would have to wait for a support to come. I have never gambled that high to know what really happens but read from people who had that happen to them in other games I am not going to name so cryptogames made it into a better version of theirs.

I don't really see how it's confusing, to be completely honest. All other games also have these max win per bet implemented, makes sense that you could hit that mid-game with minesweeper
I wouldn't know of any other way either, as Joter mentioned.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: February 04, 2019, 10:44:05 AM
Try to build a new habit that different than the other. If you were often playing gambling, then you can try to go to another place, make a book of your journey, always prevent your mind from playing gambling. Asking the other people to comes with you will be better because she/he will always remind you and try to prevent to go to gambling places. It's all about how we can block the mind to think about gambling all day long and make another activity will be a solution.

Yeah this is something that I think would actually work, but only if you're not too deep into the addiction.
Some people just aren't able to do anything themselves to quit their addiction, no matter how hard they try.

So, the only way out for them would be to seek professional help, otherwise they'll just fall into the same trap over and over again.
