541  Economy / Services / Re: Need a biology or chemistry major on: October 16, 2020, 02:13:46 AM
Need someone majoring in biology or chemistry who is interested in helping with high school AP bio assignments. Paying in BTC.
.
I'll pay $100 for one hour of your time

Is this still on going? I have known some professionals that has a degree in Biology so I think I can help you with this. Also, I guess if your were to build this kind of inquiry, better have an escrow or tell us your deal (would it be 'u send first money' policy or the assignment must be sent first). Having an escrow would help us trust you due to the fact that escrow could be trusted with the funds, whether or not one of either client or maker didn't meet the deal.

Also, why not try fiverr? Having a one time favor doesnt really need to be here.
542  Other / Meta / Re: 2020 Crazy year for the world. Crazy year for bitcointalk. on: October 15, 2020, 12:48:52 PM
Well I guess you've missed the recent issue whereas the Chipmixer Campaign opened a spot in which some opened up their opinions while some insists that people are just wasting their time. Better read CMixer's recent replies and you'll see how crazy the pandemic made us. LOL. I've tried joining it (TRIED) yet I don't know why some users calls those applicants like "the users that wouldn't be accepted". Is it really an issue if a user aren't that capable enough to fulfill DarkStar_ 's standards? Rofl. I also couldn't understand why such gang matters in this forum. I've been here for years but I never fought anyone and rather respect their decisions. Yes, gangs can be powerful. But damn, looking at the bright side, those gangs contributed a lot in this forum, regardless of what signature they are wearing.

Also, I guess you've missed the time when Polar91 was caught having multiple (I mean really MULTIPLE to atleast more than you can imagine) accounts by Bitcoin_Arena. See it for yourself. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5238497.msg54171866#msg54171866)

Crazy year for bitcointalk, right?  Grin
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie needs advice on sending USD to the US from Crypto Exchange on: October 15, 2020, 11:50:52 AM
I am particularly having trouble with step #4, as I am trying to find a crypto exchange/wallet that lets me transfer USD into the US. I have tried a few possibilities and for example, Kraken and Coinbase require you to be a US citizen to transfer USD to a US bank account.
If anyone knows of a platform that allows easier transfers of fiat, or thinks I should do things differently, please, all opinions are welcome.
If you've reached this point, thank you for taking the time to read about my issue, and please, feel free to ask for any advice on the other steps which I could already solve Wink
Yeah, most of all transaction to bank on some exchange always required KYC because they will send the fund to the same name of your ID. So, your bank account needs to be the same as ID name.

Well in fact, most of the banks not only requires valid IDs from its customers, but also wants to know the reason of the source of funds as they are afraid of being linked to any possible issues with their customers. Some do interviews and calls people for what is the reason why he had received money especially if it was from cryptocurrency (as in my country and my past case I experienced it).

If you really don't have any other choices. Better post on services thread and find some users that resides in America to process your inquiry, but keep in mind that transact only on those users with many trusts especially sr members above. But also take note of their fees, just negotiate with them. I guess there would be users in here that can help. I'll be following your account from now on if you did my suggestion so that I could help you if you could trust this or that user or not. But still, the negotiation on you and the helper depends on your deal.
544  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crash game automatic follow introduction on: October 15, 2020, 11:19:24 AM
Can you explain why i see users constantly loosing 1000's of dollars on your crash game?
Same username over and over again, betting 1000 USDT and losing?
There are some DEMO accounts registered by customers in the game, and these people who use the DEMO account are not serious about the virtual funds.Anyone can create DEMO accounts in the game to make automatic bets.
Many times in my life I have come across the problem of demo accounts and real accounts. The difference is enormous. always when you come for the first time and try the demo everything seems to be good. As I understand it, this is probably an option to lure users. For example, if you trade on demo forex, you will also be rich. However, as soon as you send real money to your account, everything immediately changes for the worse.
This has been verified many times and not only by me.

INDEED!!! I strongly agree with you as having demo accounts not only breaks the integrity of the platform but also loses the trusts of the clients. It's a wrong move/feature that they show other users the progress and history of the DEMO accounts. It's like being the part of the real gambling but not for real (I hope you get my idea). Also, the OP must only allow users to have DEMO funds and not DEMO accounts so they have a choice to whether or not make use of real money or use their virtual and no-cost crypto as their betting funds for testing the system. Again, never allow users to make demo accounts but still publicly state their bet history.
545  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Arcane Arcade -- Looking for feedback on: October 15, 2020, 10:44:22 AM
We're early-stage, about two weeks into development. I've got freelancers helping me out, looking for a Halloween launch (worst case, Thanksgiving).

I've tried visiting your website. It seems that it really is just on development, as the main platform's browser tab seems to be titled "React App". It is a good choice that you've used React Framework so you can easily turn it into mobile app or onto any platform you want. Just don't rush your official release. You don't really need to launch on or before the Halloween. Better launch whenever your system is finalized and your marketing is already on the run.

I'm looking for partners, fellow gamers and crypto engineers. I'm happy with the work my freelancers have done, but I really would love a team doing it for a stake in the future success.

Even if you aren't a Ruby or JS engineer, I could use a hand on the marketing side of things, as well. Buyer adoption should happen organically, but it's the indie/mid-size game developers with good games to sell that I want on the platform.

I'd like to suggest on your UI/UX developers to make the UI appropriate in the device a user would use. For example, I've using Browser but the UI seems to be so minimal and have no further details

Here's the list of my suggestions:
  • The color of the button seemed to be unreadable. At first I thought it wasn't a button, but yeah, I'd really can't see that well the text, so you might change its color. Preferably not white button/background.
  • Consistency is important. If your UI would be having round edges, as much as possible, do it to everything, so we couldn't have the feeling that each and every hover feels different from the main UI.
  • Desktop platforms must contain text or captions on what a button or an image is about. Yes, the simplicity is nice, but such designs fits perfectly only on mobile devices, in which users prefers logos as they already know it upon installing.
  • Padding. Have a consistent amount of padding in every element you have. You cannot congest elements just because they are on a same group. Paddings and margins are important, soooo important.
  • White space or empty space. It seemed that your platform is too wide yet the elements resides on the middle on a certain dimension. Better make a good use of the spaces so you can have an option that users have many features indicated in a certain page. or just make it simply big but not too much.

Those we're just my cents. I'm not really that onto programming now but I know how to make your app good look, but I'm still busy and not that professional so that's my suggestions. Also, take a look at the UI of your competitors, and use it as an inspiration.  Grin
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency: US Election 2020 on: October 15, 2020, 10:14:11 AM
The up coming election in USA is normally affect the world in economy, either in negative or positive way of the market price, which we are focusing on the cryptocurrency, is not control by any government, because cryptocurrency is a decentralized currency. Which can not be predicted at fixed amount price.

I guess you aren't comprehending the OP that well. OP tells us that the US election would have a huge impact to the crypto-space. Whomever wins the race, Bitcoin and crypto market would remain the same. It's just funny that people especially Americans think that they can manipulate the vast crypto community and its prices. Also, How can you say that the US Election affects world economy? So if my local country would have a presidential election, that means we can somehow change the economy of the world even a little? That doesn't have any proof nor whatsoever.

AFAIK, Chinese Yuan is the strongest these times. But how would that happen, there's a consensus that it's already been set for USD/BTC. In some exchanges, this isn't a problem. But pushing bitcoin to be denominated in another currency, that would be the least that I'm thinking. Although, it's a fact that you have stated that USD is getting weaker. However, we'll gonna see it recover maybe after the elections or when this pandemic ends.

Yah by strongest meaning that it was so stable ever since in many countries. Also, USD isn't really getting that weaker in the fiat aspect, but weaker in the crypto exchange. But in fact, the pandemic made a huge impact to the US economy, so with or without elections, USD will gradually recover.
547  Economy / Services / Re: Betnomi Sig and avatar campaign on: October 14, 2020, 12:42:18 PM
Hello, yahoo62278!

Since there is some trend going on in the forum, particularly on the Best_Change's avatar campaign in which users are allowed to have their own modified avatars but still the main campaign remains intact. Would there be any chance that you and the Betnomi team would allow us to do the same? I've just thinking to initiate the said trend in this campaign as I see it is so cool to have a user's own avatar but have the campaign in it. I'll start to make some samples in a quite minutes...

Here's a little sample and I hope you would like this.

I'll update this again if I have time to make another rendition. So far, all I want to know is that if I were allowed to use that. Thanks!
548  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN SLOTS] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: October 14, 2020, 09:27:28 AM
I really don't envy Darkstar right now. Just to go through them all is going to be a mammoth task
DS, if it helps: if you get me a list of competing userIDs, I'll get you a convenient list of their posts as if they were in this campaign in the past week.

I hope this helps.

Jayce is a professional designer and that's the reason why he easily got your point about design plagiarism.
---------
Getting merits is always a special thing for anyone but keep in mind that you will only get trust when you will win someone's heart. So in comparison with that losing a contest isn't a big thing.
---------
You can easily get some positive trust by taking loans or using lending service but when someone give you that for your contribution or good works then its definitely gonna give special feelings to anyone.

Agreed to everything you've said. But for me, trading is a common way to gain green trust, telling others that you are capable of meeting the deadline and willing to do as what it was stated on your deal. And I've seen a lot of trusted users that either trusted by loans or trusted because of his integrity explicitly shown in the forum, but I guess it was my first time seeing a green trust stating a simple reason due to relatable ideology.

I do not understand why you would be so happy to have received merits  and positive feedback since you have been a member of this forum for more than 2 years and you should know that receiving positive feedback does not mean that the person has put you on their list of trust. you were only evaluated in a certain situation, which in this case would be your point of view on "Cheating in Logo contest ...", there are many of members of this forum who had a many of positive feedbacks and then started to receive a lot of negative feedbacks, no let yourself be fooled by these merits and positive feedback, just continue to follow your ideology and work for the community

Then maybe you cannot understand the struggle of designers as well. But let me tell you this, I've been designing for years and learning through certain experiences but no one respected how hard it was to design something that would represent a business and/or just design something that would please the vision of the people. And guess what, people would rather tease you on why should I insist a bigger fee, saying "it is JUST SIMPLE and EASY". All of such horrible experiences would be disregarded due to the fact that I'd rather take a little money to live than to refuse and be hungry. Hence, a simple wave of respect sums up all of the hard work I've made. Is being thankful an awkward nor a bad thing to do?  Huh

You deserve it man, as all of your points are true. And also the struggle being a designer which not everyone appreciates our work and complaining on our service cost, that's real.

Well please note the feedback is adjustable. If in future you do a wrong thing in this forum, I surely will remove mine and even put negative. Though, we have to be grateful with any positive feedback we have, no matter if he is a DT user or not. Keep up your great work and good luck mate.

Thanks man! I've been planning to post some designs and be a designer in here as well. Would also make free designs soon in avatars.
550  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion about newbies on: October 11, 2020, 02:26:03 PM
Imo, restricting newbies from posting links seems a more reasonable and more effective approach to fight this kind of scam.

Have you known that theymos have mentioned that he had been hesitant to imply more restrictions to newbie as it really doesn't help the good newbies?

One reason that I was hesitant to do this before is that there are an awful lot of newbie restrictions, and I don't want the forum to be unwelcoming to good newbies. I'll think about tying some of those to activity instead of rank in the future.

Yes, there might be tons of users that keeps attempting scam related activities or posting malicious links or files through other file-hosting platforms, but that doesn't mean that we must justify the Newbies in general the same as we judge those that do awful things to other users. I've seen a lot of users that really are interested in learning about crypto yet having another standard/barrier to their capability to contribute in this forum. If we really wanted to help stopping such scam activities/attempts, reporting them and tagging them is I guess a better way than having another set of rules and restrictions on the general Newbie rank.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao licensed casinos banning Curacao residents? on: October 11, 2020, 08:47:23 AM
Finally! Thank you Hhampuz.

This leads me to another issue now since it appears that other online casinos aren't implementing the policy set by the Curacao Government. This also  supports why there are people who doesn't think highly of gambling license obtained there. They don't check if the rules are strictly followed.

AFAIK they only have Curacao's License to Operate, regardless of what a gambling platform's exclusive policy is. Hence, the government and laws of curacao especially in gambling casinos (physical or online) doesn't really have that sort of sensitivity with the policies of those companies. Also, why would they restrict things that they know they aren't capable to manage? If there are a lot of gambling casinos registered in Curacao, do you think they can even regulate each and one of them and check if their policies were inclined with the local Curacao policies? Or do they even care with the platforms' exclusive policies afterall?
552  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's build Dex? on: October 11, 2020, 06:49:57 AM
Hey guys,

I have been in the crypto space for over 4 years and have helped several crypto exchanges with digital marketing and SEO (I am one of the best in the business).

I am fascinated by the opportunities DeFi brings to the crypto space and at the moment putting together a team with likeminded individuals to build a Dex.

So, if there is anyone who would be interested to build a Dex project, tell me about yourself, and let's see if we can find a way to make it happen?

Might be a long-shot but worth a try  Wink

Let's make it happen  Cool

Lol as if we'd really trust a newbie now with four years of experience in crypto-space. If you really are the best in the business, why compete on an aspect that you know already is a cliche thing? Making and starting a DEX right now isn't really a good choice. There are a lot of DEX out there. Instead of making another common project that would have a hard time gaining user clients and trusts, why not make something that isn't complicated but rather simple and unique? Take Uniswap as an example, in which they've tend to be so simple yet ended up so successful.

Another suggestion is that you should build an image first here, or just disclose your information IF you really were "4" years in crypto-space. The CEO and Founder of a lot of DEXs disclosed their info and let the people know who they are. With that, you're creating a reputation, validity, and a little trust.
553  Economy / Reputation / So this is the feeling? on: October 11, 2020, 04:57:36 AM
Recently, I've been busy due to the pandemic yet I've tried my best to keep up with the happenings here in the forum. I've joined the Logo Contest (in which apparently I've lost) and it had an issue with plagiarism on designs. Hence, examplens made a thread[1] about it. It was a good discussion on what factors must be considered in making a logo design, especially for legitimate businesses.

Then I've tried reading its arguments in which some agrees to tag those that plagiarize in form of designing, then some just had let them be. Therefore I've answered with my pure explanation with regards to what is considered a plagiarism in design and what copied/inspired designs are considerable as another original design.[2] Suddenly, I was shocked that I've had both merits and positive feedback because of it. Thanks, jayce, for earning your respect. It means a lot to me.

I'm not making this thread just to boast it out nor anything negative you can think of. I made this thread just to tell everyone that it is so flattering to be part of trusted users in this forum. I've been here for years trying my best to contribute. I though merit is the best thing to earn in this forum, but I am wrong. I may have lost the contest, but at least I've won a trust.

Now to create a discussion with the reputation, what was the feeling the time you first earned someone trust in here? I'm pretty sure it's because of lending and loan why they've trusted you. But have you earned some out of someone's respect? If you do, how was the feeling?

I am still purely flattered with the events. damn...

Correct!  Grin

So ironic that you've managed to agree with someone yet you cannot answer efialtis' accusation against you. I don't see the importance of bumping this thread just to congratulate someone that you don't even mentioned the name nor any information about the winner nor the contest. TBH, I've seen what you promote here, and I don't see that it is reliable as you don't even review those that doesn't have affiliate links such as Roobet (that needs referral's name instead of a link). Therefore, all I can say is that you're just here not to tell the TOP 10, but rather make profit out of affiliates.  Wink
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 10, 2020, 10:41:44 AM
However, lately, I've seen some complaints from user on account getting blocked or funds got frozen because such user belongs to a certain country where listed in the site not allowed to gamble, so I would like to hear your thoughts on how to deal with this kind of possibility that could happen to us since we still gamble despite knowing we are discourage not to.

To my fellow gambles, don't be shy to share your opinion, advises and experience so everyone will be aware.

TBH I'm really against those users that have been accessing and playing gambling sites that they already know prohibited to their country. It's like you know it shouldn't be done yet you'd insist but in the end if you had a problem you'll be crying and blaming things and even accuse the platform you're using. We should always be gamble responsively in a way that we must respect the prohibition of certain gambling platforms. It isn't really a good practive to use VPN just to access restricted gambling platforms. As a gambler, I do suggest a disciplinary action on users who insist doing such activities, mostly users here in forum. It wasn't just right, never right at all.

It's been a day since you've last online. Care to tell us answers to all of the recent queries here in this thread? It seems that you aren't that kind of interested in making your business successful through this forum or you've just been busy. Furthermore, I see that you supports 1xbet that isn't really a good platform in this forum. As Casdinyard have said, better not insist on us that you support it. Also, there are still a lot of loopholes about you and your intentions in this forum, or should I say your whole platform's announcement thread here in forum doesn't answer basic questions. Fill us with your background so that we could know if this must be trusted.

~

This is I guess the start of Bitcoin's rocket. Many companies are adopting and buying bitcoin for their businesses and as part of their transaction which would indicate that sooner, most companies would do the same. Hence it would start the spark plug of cryptocurrency's popularity across the world. Take note that such news and positive events made some impact with the Bitcoin price, what more soon if other companies would do the same right? Therefore, I think this is also the time where holding is a less option and trading would be the best one, as the market grows so fast, so do the possible profit.

HERE'S MY NEW ENTRY:

Since the OP wants something that isn't too generic and minimal, I've tried using hat and shade and a woman's hair to make some sort of letter D then I've ended up inverting it hence it could look a letter C. Hence here's my final submission. I hope the OP would consider this type of design. As always, I have a Vector File of my layout so that I wouldn't be issued here. Goodluck, again.

We reserve the right to make a phone call or video call to the number provided in your user account, which at our own discretion can be a necessary part of the KYC procedure. Until the account is fully verified, no cashouts will be processed. In case the provided phone number is incorrect, missing or false or the player will not answer the phone call, we reserve the right to confiscate your winnings and/or disable your user account. We will make reasonable efforts trying to contact you regarding the withdrawal of the funds, but if we are not able to reach you (by email or phone) in two (2) weeks, the funds will be retained by the Company, since you have failed to pass the KYC procedure.

So I will assume the answer is yes, KYC will be needed for withdraw specially if you are going to withdraw huge amount of money or winnings. And I will say that it is mandatory as well, so they are very strict on it. In any case though, the list of slot games are impressive.

If that so, I guess they would have problems with getting clients from this forum as we all (most of us) hates the KYC especially in newly registered gambling platform that still has no assurance whether or not the platform and their team is legit. Judging by the looks and how eager the WildTornado is to gain clients, I pretty much think they are legit and would soon boost, IF AND ONLY IF they wouldn't use KYC as a mandatory requirement on withdrawing funds. Marketing strategies are good, but not for small time gamblers.
