You lot are so annoying, have you seriously not got anything better to do than come on btctalk.org & cry on Meta every day about DefaultFuckingTrust?

What difference does it make to your life that a few people gave you negative trust?

Were you a massive trader on here & those neg trusts have ruined your life so you can’t put food on the table any more?

It’s getting ridiculous now, Meta is absolutely full of window lickers complaining about the DT. If it hasn’t really negatively affected your life then what is the point?

This kind of attitude is what makes credible members realize how little accountability those in power on the DT actually have. This is standard operating procedure any time anyone makes any complaint. Call them a troll, try to marginalize them with insults and saying shit like no one cares.  Then the boat of socks comes in to slide the topic with drama until anything rational is drown out. People see it, they just don't ever get involved so they don't themselves become targets. This shit is negatively effecting the function of the forum regardless of your ignorant and dismissive attitude.

It is effectively trying to outlaw the use of Airplanes (no fossil fuels after 10 years).

Trump seems to think AOC and democrats should move forward with the Green New Deal

Quote from:  President Trump cia Twitter
I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal. It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military - even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!

I think the trust system does way more harm to the community than good, it should be removed IMO. The amount of people I get direct messaging me on Twitter complaining how they stopped using this forum because of issues around trust is noticeable, or ranting about Lauda. I don't think these people are necessarily scammers either.
If I am not wrong you are very less active on forum I mean you are not spending much time on this forum. So your thoughts isn't wrong, because you are not aware about current situation of forum. It's true people's leavening this forum, let them leave. We don't need too much scammers here. For example, many ICO's scammer has been trying to promote their project on this forum. But unfortunately their scam activity exposed and got tag by DT1 members. So eventually they leave this forum and choose other forum to promote. So let them leave this kind of people's.

Better to just remove it. I'm sure the overall happiness of the community would go way up. Let people figure out for themselves if someone or a business is trustworthy, as they do on the rest of the internet.
In my opinion current scam rating on forum is 10% overall. If removed trust system no doubts it will be 80%. Perhaps even people's will try to scam you(LOL). There is lot of negativity about bitcoin, so will we leave bitcoin?

That's the problem, scammers aren't leaving, productive members are. Scammers just buy a new account and return instantly. Wrongly accused people just watch months or years of effort get wasted and say fuck this place.
5565  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Green New Deal on: February 10, 2019, 02:37:17 AM
This isn't a new idea.  Its a very old idea even though MSM is acting like AOC created it.

So that's why it is green. It's so old that it is moldy.

 Grin

It used to be red, but they are rebranding.

Exactly. People we want around are fed up and just walking away. Cool try with your cliche meme though.
5567  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: February 09, 2019, 11:12:54 PM
Both capitalism and socialism are made to enslave ppl. There is allways elite who rules and slaves who do what they are forced to with laws, monetary system etc. Before we make sort of revolution, throw elites down and implement direct democraty most of us will stay slaves.

These ideologies are tools. Under certain circumstances they can be harmful. They can both be exploited, but Socialism does not create anything on its own, it requires Capitalism to exist. Also Socialism was created by Capitalists as a wealth extraction tool to harvest nations of resources anyway, so the point is somewhat moot.
5568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Green New Deal on: February 09, 2019, 11:09:38 PM
I've supported it since 2012 because it is the only plan available that gives us a chance at avoiding the impending climate catastrophe.  You say it is insane but have no reasoning for calling it insane. I know you deny climate science, but like the new deal, these stimulus proposals are economically viable regardless of weather or not there was an impending catastrophe.

Of course the corporate-backed democratic party establishment doesn't support it.   Instead of that statement, you might as well just say "the fossil fuel, pharmaceutical, and insurance lobbies don't even support it" because thats what it means.  The Pelosi style democrats are in a tough spot not only because of donor pressure, but because accepting the right path forward would require them to admit their course of action during the Obama years was problematic and even harmful.

They also don't see a need to accomplish anything in order to win elections.  Their calculation is that they only need to be slightly left of republicans to keep office but that calculation is wrong and failed miserably in 2016.   This new wave of democrats with green party ideology is transforming the party.  There are over 60 co sponsors on this bill.  It will be THEE issue in 2020 and I expect a dozen or so more AOC's entering congress.

"deny climate science" = expecting empirical data to support a scientific position

What revolutionaries you are for making a list of things that everyone wants with no real plan to get there. Just calling it viable doesn't magically make it so just like printing more money is not "Modern Monetary Theory", it is just inflation and theft. This "new wave" are low information high moral grandstanding true believers selling rebranded Communism.

I have to agree.
The trust system does not do much in preventing scams, but it does lead to a lot of infighting.

Trust scores are mostly meaningless, it's closer to a popularity contest than a true measure of someone's trustworthiness.
That's where I'm at least a little uncertain.
It's true that most trust ratings are meaningless, but established traders who've done a number of trades in a trustworthy manner seem to be easily identified by substantial trust scores.
If that really justifies all the hassle with the trust system, is another question.

But the trust system is very good at one thing:
warning about accounts that might superficially seem trustworthy because of their long existence and e.g. "Legendary" status which either fall into the hands of account buyers or ruin their reputation by doing something fishy.

So, its really a glass half full half empty situation.
One real function of the trust system and a lot of bile, bickering and bitching.

Instead of teaching new users to blindly trust ratings that could be on a hacked account, or that scam busters will always protect them, perhaps we should be teaching them to use the numbers as a quick reference and to do due diligence before trading. The bitching and bickering tends to happen when you take years of work some one did to build a reputation in an extremely hostile environment full of con artists and scams, and turn it in to a toy for children with modest amounts of authority to lord over you with fake internet points. It is like taking a mans prosthetic leg off of him and beating him with it. It is an insult by its mere existence as the status quo.
5570  Other / Meta / Re: Why is it so hard to start community projects in the Bitcoin Talk forum. on: February 09, 2019, 09:06:42 PM
Most people who are any good at anything are probably already getting paid to do it somewhere else. Also the fact that this is 4Chan with an extensive research library.
5571  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elizabeth Warren Doesn't Understand Wealth Taxes on: February 09, 2019, 08:47:05 PM
.....
Never understood when people attack greed for being wrong. Greed isn't wrong, it's what started this country and what is going to continue to define it. I see little to no purpose in life if you're not continuously longing for some sort of end goal -- which is you, being greedy, and chasing a goal.

Punishing those that are job creators isn't going to work, and its seen in countries such as Venezuela the horrid atrocities that can come out of that mentality.

It's a standard socialist trick.

What I never understood about it is the simple fact that the greed of a person, like you or I, could never even begin to approach the greed of a country to steal from its citizens.

I guess we all think that until we actually achieve that kind of power, not saying all people would steal too but power certainly seems to change people.

I think people often mistakenly attribute the tendency for those types of individuals to seek power, with power changing people. Though I am sure it is very often the case, the most extreme examples people recognize are usually a case of that type of person seeking a position of power.

^see socialist libertarianism, democratic socialism, market socialism, anarcho-communism, or democratic confederalism.

Those critiques and almost all other are against state socialism, authoritarianism, command economies and large-scale centralized ownership.

Also unicorns, see unicorns.
5573  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Green New Deal on: February 09, 2019, 08:42:42 PM
hahaha "extensive research".

Even her own party is already shitting on the plan. This plan is insane, she is insane, and you are even more insane for supporting it.

Better to just remove it. I'm sure the overall happiness of the community would go way up. Let people figure out for themselves if someone or a business is trustworthy, as they do on the rest of the internet. It's a noble idea but it just builds resentment among members which might actually lead to more shady and dubious behavior. Mobs going around bullying members with trust scores is shady activity. Feels like more people complain about getting their trust fucked with and characters like Lauda than they do about scams here.

Trust scores are mostly meaningless, it's closer to a popularity contest than a true measure of someone's trustworthiness. Just by using this site, all of you are implicitly trusting me, but that isn't reflected at all in my trust score, in fact I probably seem less trustworthy on first observation than some actual shady people on here. There's so much angst with the whole system, maybe there's a way to make it work better, and tweaking it could eventually lead to that, but for now it just looks like something that's dividing the community.

Its almost like we could use an objective standard of evidence of theft, violation of contractual agreement, or violation of applicable laws. I tried to make this argument years ago but I am just a troll and should be ignored and marginalized forever for saying so.
5575  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evil MAGA hat kids from Covington School VS Native American on: February 09, 2019, 02:26:40 PM
Someone blamed "the media" for those threats.  No one has cited a single threat to those kids that was made by the media.   Its the same logic as saying Trump was responsible for bombs at CNN.

Look at you still intentionally pretending like you think I meant the media itself made threats. The media doesn't need to make threats. The media says LOOK AT THOSE EVIL WHITE TRUMP SUPPORTERS BEING RACIST! GO GET EM! Then the threats are made based on lies. Then they lie some more to cover up the fact that they lied. Then you lie and pretend like you don't understand the difference. Then you all lie lie lie until you are lying in a pile of liars because you started a civil war playing your LAARPing games.
5576  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ron Paul: Who's Opposing The Socialists Attack on Capitalism? on: February 09, 2019, 02:22:18 PM
you know this quote?

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

well thats also the case for capitalism, since someone dominates always the financial market.

Socialists are exceptionally stupid. That is Socialism's only strength. The power of stupidity and entitlement in large numbers.

Why are young people being enticed by the philosophy of something for nothing? Why aren't Republicans doing so well with them?

I find it can be easily broken down like this...

One party thinks it’s about what you can do for your country. The other party thinks it’s about what your country can do for you.

I’d explain which is which but it’s clearly obvious to anyone, so that isn’t necessary.

something for nothing?

that must be the banksters philosphy because the money they printed is worth almost nothing

That is very true. Bankers do love Socialism. it allows them to more efficiently siphon off public resources quickly and providing minimal value in return.
5579  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: February 08, 2019, 08:58:31 PM
So no one cares why they are doing this? They are just trolls so fuckem? Has anyone considered this is a symptom of other issues?
