Prices down a little bit since I last check, but still seem pretty high at around 0.08 Bitcoin. Difficulty is breaking off of the unsustainable curve up, but looks like it will still get a nice increase.

Created an account here recently. I've seen they have some pretty strong verification requirements to be able to access most of the trading features. Interesting to see XRP available here with all the controversy that seemed to be surrounding it.

I would like an invite to check this out.

At some point when you see enough negative posts, threads and opinions about a certain service it should be common sense to avoid using that if possible. For most people we passed this point a year or years ago for Mt.Gox. I still think they get way more customers and volume than they deserve.

So your options are a) get ripped off "renting" hashing power at 400% over what it can possibly make. There are plenty of places that do that cex, cloudhashing. b) pre-order and hope your rig arrives and you can beat difficulty, sooner and cheaper is better than later and more expensive. It is a risk and there will be winners and losers. c) wait and accept that the risk will be lower in the future but the potential rewards will also be lower.
Unfortunately the going rate does seem to be around that high(400%) with some of the services. I think that does create some nice room for competition, say a budget priced renting service that still makes themselves a decent amount but doesn't price gouge. The only problem is if too many are willing to pay really high rates.

I could work on creating a bitmit alternative if there is sufficient interest. Not sure why they went out of business though? I heard they got bought but why would the buying company stop running the site?
I thought they had written that it was due to regulations. I'm not sure what kept it from being as popular as it might've gotten. It seems like it could've at least found a way to acquire those with small margins trying to get away from E-bay's greedy cut of the profit.

I can't understand why every crypto-currency eventually stops creating new coins, if the market chose gold and silver as money and they always have increasing rates of production, wouldn't the market choose a crypto-currency that mimics this characteristic? If the market chose a money that has a small exponential increase in quantity every year this means that this type of money is the most economically efficient. Also this would be much more profitable for miners so wouldn't you be able to rally all the miners around this coin because it is the one that is in their best interests in the long-run. So if it is more economically efficient and better suits the interests of the miners, doesn't it make sense to create a crypto-currency that will eventually stabilize at around 1-4% increase in quantity per year which mimics silver and gold production?
Just another twist on an alt-coin. We've seen tens or hundreds of different strategies for trying to make the next popular alt-coin, so I'm not surprised by this. Mostly I'm sticking with Litecoin for my alt-coin needs, fast confirms and scrypt, but I keep open minded about the future.

I've been looking into the coins on cryptsy, so I'll be posting a rough guide as I learn about each one. I've started with the worst on their LTC market.. I'll update the list as I go along... Too many newbies think any alt is a good alt... Accepted means used as a currency by websites, one website put up by a developer does not count.
Thanks for this list. Just a whole mess of alt-coins out there, many of which will keep going to the trash heap.

I agree with those saying the ATM. Just seeing these around I could see it legitimizing Bitcoin for those that aren't aware of it, or sure about it.

I like the ideas about the plants/gardening, learning various skills that would be usefull, and stockpilling what will be valuable, and necessary.

$100,000? wohoo, I will be millionaire if I have 10 BTC now!!
It's too much. Nobody will pay that amount for 1 coin. Not even 10,000 for 0.1 or 1000 for 0.01. It's insane. 1000-3000? Maybe... You make 1,000 to 3,000 sound like a slim possibility when you put it like that. It might not be a guarantee, but it's really not that far off from where we are now.

This one looks alright, short of driving a tank. Can we get some Bitcoin emblems on it.

method 1 step 1: seize all exchanges simulaneously step 2: ban exchanges
method 2 step 1: stop QE
method 3 step 1: build mining park step 2: kill switch the internet step 3: start invalidating previous transactions with mining park
method 4 step 1: criminalize cryptocurrencies
He seems to have a lot of answers here. This is one of those threads I've seen 7 or 8 times before, should almost be a sticky/faq somewhere.

I've played and woncertainly the best place to play with LTC, fast payment, fast deposits, a nice interface, and at least in my case martigale works for those investors wondering what happened, elbill won 1100 ltc Is true, I deposit 300 LTC and withdraw 1400 Nice win. This website does a good job of giving Litecoin some attention.

Thanks for your help r3wt, I reimbursed all of the people that I short changed last week (damn rounding to 2dp). What a crazy week yet again. The price of bitcoin almost touched $400 over at MtGox the other day. Its currently sitting at around $340 currently. The last price adjustment was at $180. Unless the price dips to ~$250, I'll be readjusting the payouts again next week to keep my costs under control. Go bitcoin! 0.61 BTC paid out this week ~US$210 Thanks for the payout again. This deal has worked out very good for me so far.

Like some of the unique features. Cluttered boxes are annoying. Site seemed really quiet/dead when I visited but I guess that's to be expected. Is this 001skit's site?

Think some people were selling a bit to take advantage of the new higher prices, they jumped quite a bit really fast. Looks like there's some support in the mid to high 200's and more in the lower 200's as well. Let's see what happens with the selling pressure though.
