561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 24, 2023, 12:58:11 AM
Setting a gambling budget is advisable for gamblers to prevent ourselves going beyond on what we only allocate to play. If you win then better since you can play longer or take profit (depending on your strategy). But if you lose, it's time to stop and come back next time. That's the benefit if you have set budget, though of course it's a must to have discipline because if not, then it's useless since you can't follow your set rule.

On the other side, using a different email meant for gambling and enabling the 2fa are crucial to protect our account. If you value your security then follow the reminders of op and be extra cautious.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: September 22, 2023, 07:10:11 AM
Yeah I do agree with you on this, It's crucial to handle your crypto assets with care to prevent potential losses, especially when dealing with alternative coins.

When it comes to holding and managing your cryptocurrency assets, caution is your best friend. This is particularly important in the world of alternative coins, where the market can be quite volatile. If your a newbie ill advice you make your own research before jumping into buying any coin, some could be scam project, Always ensure you use a good wallet, stay informed on what your doing .
HOLD WISELY
DYOR is necessary when investing in crypto, this is to end up buying a worthy coins with utility and not just a coin that is existing because of hype. If we're going to hold Bitcoin, using a hardware wallet is advisable to secure our assets. So even you'll hold for long period, your Bitcoin is safe.

But some investors are using a custodial wallet or exchanges to store their coins which is a mistake. If you don't hold your keys then you're not the one controlling your assets. Sometimes one needs to experience losing their money before realizing the mistakes they did. Well, probably many of us also experience this especially when we're just a beginner in crypto.

Welcome. Good thing you already have experience on investing to different coins and able to profit and lose (which is not that bad since you learned). But regardless of the result, what matter is you gained knowledge from your past experience. Aside from investing in altcoins, try to dig deeper about Bitcoin, since this is a Bitcoin forum, certainly you can learn something beneficial for you.

Having a stable job is much better, just shows you're not going to rely solely on your crypto investment. So good luck on your investing journey and remember to be patient and don't rush to profit.
564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you expect better, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? on: September 22, 2023, 12:56:07 AM
Hey all, I am new here: I've been reading a lot, and not posting much at first. You have a great place to learn at BCT. When trading crypto do you expect better, from yourself, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? Has anyone reading this ever found a cure? How do you permanently change and naturally be patient? Thanks all.
You need to control and discipline yourself because if you can't, then you'll get used to it. Experiencing to lose your money due to wrong decision can also serve as an eye opener to you. It is also one of the reason to be careful not to repeat the same mistakes again. Therefore you'll avoid doing things that led to losing your money just like what happened before.

Anyway, it's normal to be influence of FOMO especially the newbies in trading. But if you have plan and don't want to lose your funds, this can't affect your decision since you're careful and aware of the risk.
565  Other / Off-topic / Re: money before Romance on: September 21, 2023, 07:44:14 AM
If the emotional relationship between you and your wife is based on money, then the family you are trying to create will disintegrate quickly. Social relationships are greater than that and are supposed to be built on better foundations. It is true that being poor will limit your social activities, including obtaining a partner, but you do not need to be rich to have one.
Well said. Money is not the basis if one can have a partner in life because romance is not only limited to rich people. Therefore, even a man is poor he can still find a romance, the one who can accept you regardless of your situation. Isn't it good that you found each other while you're not financially stable? Just shows she is not seeing you based on what you have or what you achieve.

Money is essential and a tool (no doubt) to have everything. But there are things that money can't buy and that is genuine love and happiness.

Pwede namang mag invest sa new coins (or shitcoins) dahil nasa sayo yun. Kaya research muna bago mag invest.

3. what would be your advice to the newbie still trying to figure things out?
For newbies, don't rush and take your time to learn. Because if your mind is filled with knowledge before doing anything, you'll understand the flow on how to take advantage crypto for your own benefit.

4. Did you also have the "get rich quick" mindset. I bet it slowed down your learning process.
Yes when I was starting. I want to gain huge in a short period. The reason why I failed many times to profit because of my wrong decisions. The good thing is, I learned something from that experience to improve myself. Giving up is not the solution hence don't be discourage.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 20, 2023, 09:11:13 AM
Yes, the point is that whatever the type of addiction is basically the average addiction always leads us to something worse or even very bad, those who live dependently by utilizing loans will not be able to get progress in their lives and especially for some of those who like to spend money it is very clear that when one day they experience something unexpected and urgent that really needs money then they can't do anything except borrow again. I think saving money is a better thing to minimize the unexpected in the future.

I believe that even the habit of spending everything you managed to earn is a bad habit and will not lead to anything good. Yes, sometimes this is a necessary measure, because the income is too small to be able to save something, perhaps many have gone through such periods in life, but if you develop, then your level of income will grow, and in this case you need to make sure that save part of your income.

If you believe that you can make money in gambling, then allocate some part of your money and try, but credit money in gambling should be taboo.
Sometimes it's inevitable to borrow money because the salary is not sufficient for overall needs. That's understandable however let's not be used to it. If your income is not enough then do something to increase it but not through gambling. Gambling is not even an answer to double your money, you can lose it all instead.

Thus gamble only the money that you can live without. If you don't have excess money for gambling then forget about it and focus on how to improve your financial status. This way, you don't have to borrow money just because you're in short of funds for essential things.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 20, 2023, 06:54:28 AM
Check the Casino's Reputation, Before you jump into any online casino, take some time to research its reputation. Find out if others have used this casino and whether they've been able to successfully withdraw their winnings. A trusted casino should have a track record of fair payouts.
This is important. Before playing to the specific casino, we need to conduct a research in order to know if it's not shady. Nowadays many online casinos are already existing, but it's not hard to check what casino is trusted. A simple research will do and of course the experience of gamblers on this forum can give you an idea on where they're usually play since that particular site is trustworthy.

Resist Addiction,Winning can be exhilarating, but it can also be addictive. If you find yourself unable to stop gambling after a few wins, it's time to take a step back. Remember that gambling should never become a primary source of income.
Play in moderation so we can prevent ourselves becoming addicted. If you know know that you can't control yourself when you're already playing then just quit. Because it can only lead to more problems if you have no discipline.
570  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 1bilyon worth from offshore pogo konektado on simcards, sa panloloko at iba on: September 20, 2023, 12:52:18 AM

571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 19, 2023, 11:15:53 PM
Online gambling platforms exists not only to get you some lucky wins, it's also another form of entertainment,  but I will like to ask if truly you people are getting that entertainment from gambling?
If you're playing with a desire to have then for sure you'll be entertained since you're not after money. However, if your main reason on why you gamble is to win and become rich, even the game is exciting and enjoyable, it can't entertain you because you have a set goal on why gamble. So its effect depends on the gambler's purpose on why he/she gamble.

Some people already feel like they are not having fun, because what they have in mind is making money, to all people that feels this way, If you feel like you aren't having fun I believe for the greater good, it's better to take a break from gambling and do something else.

Do you agree or disagree?
I agree. As I have said if you gamble because of the potential winnings, this is not healthy since you're expecting something in gambling that's why you play. Gambling is not a reliable way to earn money therefore should not be treated as your source of income. Unfortunately many gamblers with such desire ignored the risk and the consequences of their actions.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 19, 2023, 08:34:01 AM

I agree if they are destined to fight, then they will have their chance to face each other.  It is that Casimero's action is too obvious that he is frustrated to fight Inoue as soon as possible, or it is just some gimmick so that he can gain some attention since Inoue is one of the hottest boxer today.

Both avenues can lead to a faster Casimero vs. Inoue fight. If fans continue to call for the fight as Casimero taunts Inoue, they may play a significant role in pushing for this matchup. Additionally, Casimero is taking the right approach by continuing to fight and improve his ranking. Perhaps Inoue will consider facing Casimero once he becomes the undisputed champion in the super bantamweight division.
Casimero has been consistent in taunting Inoue, but the fight has yet to materialize. Inoue recognizes that the matchup is considered a significant one, even though Casimero is not currently a champion. The hype generated by Casimero has reached a large number of fans, and interestingly, there are even Filipinos who don't believe Casimero would win due to his attitude. So, his strategy to gain attention has proven to be very effective.
Even before, Casimero is eager to fight Inoue and it became a hype that many fans are looking forward for this to push through. Inoue is a monster and a champion so fighting him can make Casimero's name popular among other boxers. But the question is, do he stand a chance to win? For now, he needs to prove himself by winning through KO since his opponent is not someone who can bring him into the limelight.
573  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of bitcoin price speculations on individual bitcoin holding on: September 19, 2023, 07:25:58 AM
So my question is, what has been the impact of Bitcoin market speculation on your Bitcoin/DCA approach on the Bitcoin accumulation journey?
Well, my decision to accumulate is not influenced by any speculators since i'm doing my own analysis. Though it's nice to read a positive and optimistic speculation regarding Bitcoin because that can encourage other investors to not panic in times the market is in red status.

I'm not using DCA strategy to accumulate. I'm buying when I have budget and if the price is less expensive. Anyway, it's fine if you tend to follow the speculation of those so called experts. But just keep in mind to still have your own analysis so that you can tell if the speculation has a basis.
574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 19, 2023, 02:32:13 AM
This is why in every investment, there is a need to set a target selling price. I do not think the person stated by @OP married the coin/project or whatever@OP means by holding it and not selling the coins.  I believe he just set his selling price at $1 and since it is not met, he has no choice but to continue hodling.
There's nothing wrong if you have a set target price on when to sell BUT don't forget to take profit at times. In this case, the guy became greedy even he already made a huge profit from his initial investment. He chose not to sell and wait, not knowing the price of Doge will plunged after hitting an all time high.

I also have regrets in the past due to greed. That's why if there's a chance to take profit, I don't hesitate selling some to enjoy what I gained. Moreover, I learned not to hold and rely on coins that have no real use case because the profits are not guaranteed.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: September 18, 2023, 06:57:05 AM
In short, he became a victim of people who were arrogant towards others. And in an instant, his luck gradually disappeared as if he had become a withered vegetable, at the beginning he was happy with his success and the large amount of money he won. But with the passage of time and expenses careless decisions resulted in the loss of his wealth. he had expensive expenses such as buying a mansion house, cars and other properties.
As they say, a money came from luck is easy to spend while if the money is earned through hard work, you'll value it more and this is certainly true. This story is not the first time for me to see a lottery winner lost everything after a wrong decision. Expensive way of living and spending on not necessary things (leisure) with people around taking advantage what you have is the wrong move that you'll only realize after losing it all.

Everyone will be there if you have money but in times of hardship there's only few that you can depend on, majority will just turn their back. It's good to be generous but be wise to secure your future (and your family) before anything else since it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and not everyone are fortunate to experience.
576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: September 18, 2023, 04:27:29 AM

Exactly, what they are doing is showing gambling promotion in slot games; that's the simplest logic I saw in the parade. Maybe the costumed characters in the slot games can be said to entertain and bring joy to the children in the video.

Watch again, they are not promoting slots gambling but rather they are doing an information parade campaign where the organizer is trying to show the effect of gambling to a person's finance.  Although they could have improved the performance on the parade by adding more effect  which can be written or shown on the  bannner.
They're not promoting yes, but the way they did the parade the props and character used, it's like a show that entertaining the people. The message and intention are good but if i'm one of the audience, as a curious person who don't know about this slot game then I might search what this game is (and who knows what's going to happen next).

Anyway, I think banner is not sufficient, there should be a speaker announcing the negative effect of gambling so that people became aware of it and not solely through this parade without anyone educating the people.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 18, 2023, 02:54:35 AM
Are we talking about crypto gambling which we do online or physical gambling which we do at physical casinos? Because due the to decentralised nature of cryptos, no person or organisation can know that how much money you have made from gambling. Hence you are saved from paying unnecessary taxes. On the other hand, if you are gambling at a physical casino, then they will have certain rules regarding the taxes and fees. Moreover I am highly doubting that any person gambling with cryptocurrencies will be paying taxes to the government every year.
Indeed. Playing online saves a gambler from paying tax (well at least here) because the Government is not aware how much winnings or losses you spent for the particular casino especially if you're using crypto. So there's no way they can charge me, but this is not the case on land based casino.

Let's say you play lottery and able to win a jackpot. Before you'll get your money, necessary charges are already deducted so it's automatically reflected on how much you can only get in your winning amount. In land based casino here, the tax for $200 below is 10% and 20% if more than that amount. But this is only applicable for physical casino and not for online casino winnings/losses.
Pero hindi ba kapag too good to be true dapat kana magduda?

579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino features you like and Don't like but you don't mind on: September 17, 2023, 08:12:29 AM
So you have been a gambler for at least 1year. Before Covid, you were a regular at the physical casino in your locality. You gambled with fiat. But when Covid hit, you discovered online casinos. You didn't need to gamble with fiat anymore but with cryptocurrencies. You tried out many online casinos but finally settled for one or two. There's no perfect casinos but you have stuck with this one occasionally trying out new casinos as advertised on the forum or out there but you still return to your favorite casinos. What are the features in your favorite casinos that you like that makes you keep going back and what are the features that you don't like at your favorite casino but you overlook them and still play there?
The UI, instant withdrawal, responsive support and user friendly mobile version are the features I like on the casino where I usually play. What I don't like, game restrictions due to its provider and the fact that I have to comply on kyc verification (though I already did) because I still value my privacy. But since this casino is trustworthy and been here for years it's not an issue anymore.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 17, 2023, 06:20:28 AM
Of course, we can force them to make use of our advice but a stitch in time saves nine and it's better to listen than for them to make unnecessary scam accusation thread.
If they complain about experiencing fraud from the casino, it seems to be their own fault for not being careful enough in looking for the casino. If they can be careful in their casino selection process and not rush to find more information, they will not run into serious problems such as scams. Only those who can find more information by reading reviews from these forums can find a casino that suits them. And even though it may take some time before they can find the casino, I think it's still worth it because it's related to the money they'll use to gamble.
Yes, it's their fault, not ours since the necessary advice is provided but they choose not to follow it. However, seeing their complaints and scam accusations thread makes me feel sad.
Another mistake newbies gamblers make is casino reviewing website recommendation which is manipulated by the reviewing website team based on the paycheck they are receiving from the casino.
Many review sites are not reliable and as you've said they're paid to manipulate and make a positive reviews even the specific site is not recommendable. Thus we should not entirely rely on review sites and choose a casino based on the experience of the real gamblers here and our own research to know how reputable the platform.

When it comes to new casino, it's usual to have doubts at first. The good thing of having an ANN thread here is we can ask questions and observe if the casino is not a scam and worth to give a try playing.
