Boom!
Who won LFC's Vegeta challenge?
Bitserve was first to post a meme but didn't include a bitstamp screenshot.  I thought that was part of it, LFC can decide.
I posted about 40 seconds later with meme and screenshot.

It seems, based on your comments that you just hold and hope. Did anyone bought the bottom and say that publicly? You all just hold or even shorted this?  Huh
Sure, I made 2 posts buying at 7.4K and called a low of 7.3 weeks ago.

I have a Vietnamese friend who's been trying to get a good position on BTC for 2 years now.  I originally told him in Nov. 2017 to just buy and hold.  Well he didn't and bought high and sold at the bottom of 3xxx
Now messaged me again yesterday and asks what a good entry is.  I said "buy now (@7.4K) because the whole world is waiting to pile on at 6k. Don't wait!"
You know what he did, he waited.  Roll Eyes
TLDR:  Buy and Hodl beats trying to time the trades for most people
Are you feeling lucky, Punk?

I think I found some RL footage of infofront ....... Cheesy
Oh man, that photo really sums up America today.
Bubba's a righteous Trump believer spreading the good gospel,  Cathy, the anorexic, pill popping alcoholic was told there'd be free drinks afterwards and wants to know why the f**k she's gotta wait till the end and why she's got to carry this stupid flag and wear a hat.
Leroy in the red hoodie is innocent AF and keeps his hands on his head to avoid being gunned down by the boys in blue.
2 Cops on the left and one on the right looking for an excuse to keep people safe.

Prices are a distraction, keep your eye on the prize.

Please elaborate.
To me, Bitcoin is free speech, where I can effectively say "I choose to exit", its my independence from state, my last resort, and my dopamine  Wink
Its personal activism on many levels for me and value is becoming a warped concept the longer I study Bitcoin. Some people make large charitable donations for the better good of other people, its feels like that. Then there's the secondary value based on the very system with which it aims to lapse.
Excuse my high pie in the sky notions of peace love and happiness but this is the best tool in the shop so to speak.

Edit: I guess that's the cool part of Bitcoin, it can be so many things for people.

Bitcoin is curently being "advertised" to big money. The ATH hash rate, long term trend, discount prices, fundamental cutting edge shift in monetary policy, etc. Bitcoin is coming for them like it or not. This is your chance to participate in history. Prices are a distraction, keep your eye on the prize.

There you go again with your misleading questions implying LN is custodial and can't be trusted ...

Why would you think that? Talk about a flying leap of logic. The topic was this new so-called 'innovation' upon LN allowing asynchronous transactions, not LN itself. Either keep up, or don't bother to comment. At least not disparagingly. Makes you appear the fool.

Nay, base LN has its own piles o' poop, long since having been discussed.
I read your comment with the same understanding as Dabs, so.....Not surprised you're getting blow back. Just saying

Was just reading from @100trillion iirc that tools like futures and gbtc are created to suppress Bitcoin's price. Since they do not own actual BTC but still want to short it.  The long of this is,  Bitcoin's price might not be Bitcoin's price, gamed prices and timelines.

If i dont understand wrong, to supress the price you need actual selling of BTC.
Some morons betting on btc price (cash settled future contracts) cant affect the price.
BUT it seems they managed to get a selling counterpart (baaad whale).. They bet on a low price, and in the other side they actually sell BTC. Then the whale rebuys lower. (rinse and repeat)

Rigged game. They win, we suffer observing walls...

Sentiment can be mucked with from the wall street boys with futures until everyone's either too tired or too scared to touch BTC. That will have an impact on price.

However, if the system can't be changed or protected from evil, speculative forces, what would possible solutions for hodlers and adopters look like?
I suppose the same approach the rest of the world would take if they weren't occupied. De-peg from USD. Not sure what that will look like for BTC but for now it appears like an idea, a dangerous one, that is being realized in the minds of hodlers and adopters and backed by math.

For now most are still concerned with making dollars and why not. When that changes towards BTC, it will be felt.

Sorry, not sure if I actually answered any part of you're question, Wednesday morning ramble.

The new price is a little painful but not completely unexpected.  Fell back asleep just after 7.4k and had a dream that it shot to 9.3 before I could get my buy order in.
So relieved to wake up from that nightmare.

By the way, WTF is GBTC from greyscale?
