If you charge a fee to facilitate a sale, then you should freeze the funds for a day or two or until the buyer approves the transaction, and when a transaction is disputed you need to have the right staff to look into the problem and solve it, people are are well trained and know how to decide who is in the wrong, OP apparently isn't doing any of that, besides his 50k+ sales in 5 weeks is just fishy as hell.

Yup pretty much like mining Bitcoin off flare gas, would be pretty difficult to build the residential buildings or normal factory/company in the places you usually drill for oil, but to drop a generator and a few containers in the middle of nowhere to start mining is pretty doable, which is why people use flare gas to mine bitcoin but not for many other businesses.

5 cents kWh is somehow cheap, probably no large miner on planet earth has 1 cent / kWh rate, this was not even possible when the Chinese transported their miners next to the rivers for hydropower during the rainy season, there are a few places on earth with such power rate (including where I live), but none of those places have the capability of being a large mining hub, just small mining farms and here and there, all combined probably don't even makeup 1% of the total hashrate, what you need to worry about is the large players in U.S and now recently merging in Russia, staying at their rate is good enough, below is even better.

Those are some good figures for a country that has just started, with the sanctions imposed on Russia I think that large mining corps are probably getting some sick power deals below average prices, Russia has a lot of oil and gas that they can't easily sell, so making use of that for mining is a win-win, the electricity infrastructure might not be ready for a huge expansion but what's good about mining is "you can place the container anywhere", so just build the power plant and place the container nearby.

Usually, the most expensive and time-consuming aspect of electricity is power transmission, so for the average company or business that needs to operate within the city -- it could be a huge issue if the city doesn't have enough power infrastructure, for mining as long it's on and has internet connection the money keeps coming in.

زيادة عدد العقد هوا امر مهم للبتكوين وليس "مشكلة" لذلك اصلا لايوجد اي سبب لايجاد اي حلول له بل بالعكس يجب ايجاد طرق لانشاء عدد عقد اكبر.


يجب على كل عقدة ان تحتفظ بكامل البيانات والا فوجودها سيكون بدون فائدة, يجب ان تعلم ان الغاية والغرض من عقدة البتكوين هي ان تتمكن من التحقق من التحويلات بنفسك بناء على البيانات الموجودة لديك بدون الحاجة الى اخد المعلومة من شخص اخر, والا فان عامل اللامركزية يختفي من المعادلة, الان عندما تدخل على block explorer وتبحت عن عنوان معين او تحويل معين في الواقع انت تثق في مالك الموقع بان يعطيك المعلومات الصحيحة والطريقة الوحيدة لكي تتأكد بنسبة 100% من ان البيانات صحيحة هي عند امتلاكك لها.


الملفات المظغوطة غير قابلة للمعالجة الفورية لذلك فان الامر غير ممكن, يجب ان تكون البيانات متاحة للمعالجة الفورية في كل وقت, ايضا لايوجد شي في البلوكتشين اسمه محفظة, كل مايوجد هوا

البتكوين الموجودة عندك الان يمكن ان يكون تاريخ صدورها 2012 مثلا, وتم انتقايل ملكيتها عبر الوقت من اول عنوان ملكها الى عنوانك بعد 1000000 تحويل, عندما تقوم انت بتحويل البتكوين لا يمكن لاحد ان يتأكد انك فعلا المالك الحالي لها, ولا ان كانت فعلا بتكوين حقيقية تم منحها لعنوان وجد بلوك في وقت ما الا عبر سحب السجلات من 2012 وحتى اخر تحويل , والا فأن اي شخص يمكنه تزوير البلوكتشين, ومن هنا يأتي مصطلح chain او السلسلة, فلو تخيلنا انك تجر شي ما باستخدام سلسلة معدنية, في حال انقطاع اي جزء منه مهما كان حجمه فالعملية كلها ستتوقف, لذلك لايمكن استتناء اي شي من البلوكتشين.

بالمجمل 500 قيقا فهيا لاشي بالنسبة للعقدة الواحدة, اعتقد ان الشخص الطبيعي يمتلك من اليانات مايفوق ذلك, سعر وحدة التخزين بحجم 1 تيرا بيات لا يتجاوز ال 40 دولار لافضل الشركات, ويمكن ايجاده ب 20$ ايضا, ومع الوقت سوف تنخفض تكلفة انشاء وحداث التخزين ولا اعتقد ان حجم البلوكتشين سيشكل اي عائق في زيادة عدد العقد.

They are certainly over but in a few decades after all the halvings, it would be a bit hard for the large companies to sustain their operations, if those large guys leave, the small folks will be able to make a few bucks again, but as it stands right now, the difficulty isn't stopping regardless, those large players have a lot of money to throw away, the average joe stands no chance.

ولكن بالفعل يوجد مشكلة, و المشكلة "اقتصادية" وليست ثقنية, لانه عليك ايجاد سبب للاحتفاظ بنفس البيانات على الاف السيرفرات, فمثلا الان يوجد حوالي 16000 عقدة اون لاين يمكن الاتصال بها الان في هده اللحظة, كل تلك العقد تخزن بيانات البلوكتشين البالغة 500 قيقا, يعني 8,000 تيرا (رقم ضخم جدا) من البيانات المتكررة, فمثلا, شركات الشحن كيف ستجد الجدوى من حفظ بياناتها في الاف العقد وهي كل ماتحتاج له فقط سيرفر واحد رئيسي وربما نسختين احتياط على الكلاود وتنتهي القصة.

لذلك يجب ان يكون سبب وجيه يبرر التكلفة, احد تلك الامتلة يمكن ان يكون "التسجيل العقاري" او "الشهر العقاري", نظرا لان الشفافية بين المواطنين والحكومة مهمة جدا, تخيل ان تقوم يوم من النوم لتكتشف ان شخص ما قام بتغير شهادتك العقارية باسمه لانه يمتلك الوصول الى قاعدة البيانات, طبعا هده الاشياء لاتحدث في البلاد المستقرة ولكنها امر شائع في كل الدول التي تعاني من حروب وعدم او عند حدوث انقلاب او انفلات امني, فهما يكن ان نجد مبرر لاستعمال تقنية البلوكتشين.

I doubt this was the issue because resoldering the chips with a better solder on those 17 series gears seems to have fixed the majority of the issues, furthermore, the Malaysia batches had almost no issues compared to the Chinese ones, pretty sure the wafer thinking was the same for both factories, the soldering material / robot / human were different.

Anyway, great news, I am glad you didn't have to send all your gears for repair, and I'd say that since a few months have passed, it's pretty unlikely for them to fail now due to solder issues, those flaky 17 series started failing in few weeks, IIRC the first report from a large Chinese farm was 40% failure rate at week #6.

OP was asking about hosting companies, you told him to ditch the idea and look for a data center, are you smoking something or are you a bot with unsolved bugs?  .

OP, doesn't matter how legit a hosting company may seem the end results are usually not too great, The problem is within the structure of BTC mining profitability, Imagine you are a hosting company, and you buy electricity for 5 cents, you sell it for 7 cents, your profit is 2 cents per kWh but then 1 cent * overall consumption goes to maintaining the farm and to pay employees, so you are now making 1 cent per KwH.

What happens next is one of two

1- BTC Price goes to the moon, the host still makes 100k a month while the miners he hosts make 100M a month, What is it going to be? they would either want to run their own gears now that the profit margin is huge, or they would want to charge you more if they can't do either of those, they would start making your life difficult by shutting your gears down, or pointing them to their pool for a few days and claim they have some technical issues and all that b.s.

Not saying nobody on planet Earth is honest, but for most people, it would be pretty hard to resist not getting a piece of that 100 M and just sticking to that 100k, but fine, you may get lucky and find an honest host, when things moon, another investor will show up with more gears and cash and will be willing to take your place, alongside many others, now the host has to choose between you (the average joe with 5 gears) and your other 200 (average joe friends and their grandmothers) who all combined have 1000 gears VS the rich investor who wants to host 5000 gears and pay 20% more.

Honest or not, you are going to get that email explaining how sad the host is to part ways with you due to technical and legal reasons that they can't disclose.

2- BTC Price goes down or sideways, the difficulty will keep climbing, you will be kicked out by the other guys who don't have to pay hosting fees, they will remain in profit and keep adding gear while you can't, that leverage they have over you will destroy you


The other plan to avoid scenario 2(or at least used to be) is to host your gear with a trusted company that has facilities in other countries at a cheaper rate, but then, your country might wave some sanctions on that country and you will be forced to sell the gears where they are for dirt cheap, this happened to Compass mining not too long ago.

Hosting a miner is like hosting a cow, when milk is cheap, the other farmers will outperform you because they don't pay someone else to take care of the cows. When milk prices go up your host would be better off just getting his own cows, or hosting a larger cow with more milk at a higher price, so I have to agree with phill, forget the cow, just get the milk since you are not a farmer and don't own a farm.

التقرير ممتاز من حيث البيانات ولكن ينقصه "الاستنتاج" ,  لا اعلم كم من البيانات يمكن ايجادها في الموقع الذي استخدمته ولكن اعتقد ان الدراسة سيكون لها معنى اوضح ان تمكنا من استنتاج البيانات بناء على معطيات اخرى, اهم تلك المعطيات هي سعر البتكوين, لانني اعتقد ان النشاط في المنتدى بصفة عامة متعلق بزخم السعر اي انه كل ماكان هناك سوق صاعد زادت الاخبار عن البتكوين وزادت الرغبة في فهمها وهدا يزيد من وصول الناس للمنتدى وزيادة نشاطهم.

لذلك ان تمكنت من زيادة المدة الزمنية للتحليل لكي يشمل على الاقل فترة سوق هابط وسوق صاعد وسوق خامل (مثل الذي نعيشه الان) سوف يكون هناك الكثير من الاستنتاجات, اعتقد ان اكثر فترة نشاط تكون في السوق الصاعد, و اقلها في السوق الخامل وليس في السوق الهابط.

Ya me comparing a large miner to a small one was not the smartest thing to do, but my point is even in a leveled scenario electricity is not everything, as you already know I have almost cheap electricity but during my years of mining I came to realize that the power bill was not the be all end all.

One major issue I have is the lack of repair, I can't export electronics for any purposes (too much effort, and too much money and with no guarantee that I will get approval to do so) so while it isn't 100% illegal, you can just assume it is, a faulty control board, maybe, a whole miner -- most likely never,  so once I receive the miner I am stuck with it, I lost a few BTCs back in the shity Bitmain 17 era and I watched the miners sit on the shelves without the ability to repair them, at the point in time, Jihan was sending his guys to client's farm in China to fix gears, so they had to spend nothing, so despite them paying a lot more for the power bill, they had a way out of the fuckery Bitmain created, I didn't.

Shipping costs way too much to my country, so I am always looking at 5-20% more money spent just to receive the gear.

Summer heat is crazy, so I have to spend more on cooling than many other miners who pay higher power rate.

I could probably list a dozen more disadvantages that I have over the next guy who pays 500% more on the power bill, the loss I encountered on those 17 series took me years to recover, and I am sure as hell I would have done better if I was in China paying 5 cents but had my gears fixed the next week, so it's a WHOLE package that needs to look good, without having cheap electricity the package is already broken, but having cheap electricity alone isn't going to cut it, I don't know how to explain it better -- but it is how it is.



This is correct but only IF all elements of the package are the same, so the electricity rate will decide the winner, but if the country is too large, both operate in different states with different tax laws and weather, then 1 cent difference isn't going to guarantee a win.

With free power, at today's prices and difficulty those make up to 120$ a month on Nicehash, however, the altcoin mining profitability is a roller coaster, so that might not hold for too long, the next day it could be 1$, so it's not even easy to know if they are worth fixing, mining any Altcoin except for LTC and Doge is a massive risk, it has always been since ETH moved to PoS, I really hope people stop wasting their money on these altcoin miners.

شخصيا انا ضد الدراسة التقليدية التي تتطلب تقريبا 17 عاما لكي يتحصل الشخص على شهادة جامعية, في المتوسط يكون عمر الشخص في ذلك الوقت 25 عام تقريبا, لايمتلك اي خبرة عملية في مجاله وعليه البداية تقريبا من الصفر في المجال العملي لتخصصه, يحتاج مالا يقل عن 5 سنوات خبرة لكي يكون قادر على انجاز المهام المتعلقة بمجاله بشكل جيد وهنا يجد نفسه دخل في سن ال 30 ولازال لديه الكثير ليتعلمه ودخله محدود, فلا يعرف ان كان عليه الاجتهاد في عمله والتعلم او تكوين اسرة وتربية الاطفال فيكون ممزق بين هاذين الشقين ولا يفلح لا في مجاله ولا في اسرته الا اذا اثار كل شي على نفسه وحرمها من ابسط الحقوق مثل الرياضة والترفيه وغيرها.

لذلك من وجهة نظري ان الدراسة العامة لايجب ان تتجاوز مرحلة الشهادة الاعدادية اي باجمالي 9 سنوات من الدراسة ومن ثم تعلم اختصاص واحد مثل البرمجة او الطب او غيرها, بهدا يكون الشخص جاهز للعمل والانتاج في بداية العشرينيات.
