601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 16, 2023, 10:41:46 PM
Knicks had a great win last night at the Suns.  Crazy how they got shredded up by the Jazz and then go handle theor business in Phoenix.  Second night of a back to back west coast away game will be tough against the Clippers.  After that it's the Lakers.  First real test of the season on this trip. Brunson looked real good last night let's see what he does tonight.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does match fixing concern you often? on: December 16, 2023, 10:39:58 PM
The sports I bet I don't think about it too often.  I stay away from college betting because it would be too easy (and cheap) for someone to pay off one of the players since they really don't make a salary.  In the top US pro sports I'm not sure if it's worth it for them to even try.  I guess the worst one I've seen in awhile is in the NBA with the ref who was on the books of the mob Tim Donaghy I think it was.  Either way I don't think it's prevalent enough to worry about.

Poll Question: First team to get 20 wins?
Celtics - 10 (50%)
Magic - 4 (20%)
Bucks - 1 (5%)
Sixers - 0 (0%)
Timberwolves - 3 (15%)
Nuggets - 0 (0%)
Mavericks - 0 (0%)
Thunder - 2 (10%)

Total Voters: 20

So far 20 people voted and half of them voted for Celtics. Right now Celtics is 18-5 and the closest team to 20 wins with Timberwolves.

Tonight Celtics will host Magic, that's really a though game for Eastern Conference. Celtics is 12-0 at home, this may be the hardest home game for them so far. Magic is 5-5 on the road though. I really like how Celtics play this season so I'm going with them tonight.

I think the Celtics are on a second night of a back to back so it will be difficult.  But yeah from a pure win and not using spread Celtics should win this game rather easily.  Celtics are a powerhouse at home amd I like theor chances.  So long as brown, Tatum and kp are playing Celtics shoukd tend to always be the favorite especially at home.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 15, 2023, 10:31:54 PM
Litecoin is not dead and due to it being ingrained into crypto for so long I don't think it will ever die.  Do I think it will outperform bitcoin, no.  But I do think it will pace with bitcoin so if you have litecoin you won't lose usd value of your stack.  When bitcoin fees are high it's nice going in amd out with litecoin and then transferring to bitcoin in the end.  Easy way to move crypto Smiley
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 15, 2023, 10:29:14 PM
Nah it doesn't at all.  Slots are one of the worst bets in the casino but if you enjoy them and are gambling for entertainment it doesn't make you any less intelligent than someone else.  People misconstrue what gambling is for, it's not the same for everyone.  I am one of those people that when I want to gamble for fun I will play those luck based games.  But if I'm looking for competition than I will play something like poker which requires a lot fo mental strength.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 15, 2023, 10:26:48 PM
Just reading this now but that's terrible.  Gambling addiction and evening just gambling above your means is insanely detrimental to people.  I couldn't stomach gambling enough to where if I lose I would consider ending my life it's just not worth it.  It's just money.  I hope someone will at least see this amd think twice about going "all in" hopefully saving someone else's life.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 15, 2023, 10:24:44 PM
Now, the Warriors will defenitely struggle on their defense without him as they were playing a small ball when Draymond is a significant player for their success, without him, their playoffs hope might be done this season.

No offense to Warriors fans but that was a long time ago. The efficiency of Draymond Green in terms of defense way back during the Warriors rode to stardom isn't present now. Draymond Green is proven to be useless without the Splash brothers alongside the court. It does mean that he's not perfectly blend well to other Warriors players.

Regardless if he's going to be ban or not, the Warriors defense are just on usual and will just follow Kerr's mechanism. Regarding on that recent flagrant incident involving him, I really don't understand why he never changed since then lol. He's now becoming a veteran player at least he should show maturity on the court.

Draymond Green was always the "tough guy" on the court.  That's how he defined his career.  It's all good and we'll when you are winning but when you are losing it becomes amplified.  They do drop defensive efficiency long run without him though.  No way Looney can come in and provide 30-35 minutes a game with a lock down presence.  A lot of what draymond provides doesn't show up in the box score.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: December 14, 2023, 09:07:21 PM
Stop following crypto influencers, those of you who like using YouTube videos to pick coins and tokens to invest in you need to hear this, those crypto influencers on YouTube are getting paid to promote those projects they are chilling, why would they promise you 2x or 5x when they aren't part of the team themselves? They did this because that's how they make their own money. He who have hears let him hear.

Here is the general process.  For these fringe projects, if you arent in the "in" group than you are just pumping their bags by buying.  Fully agree here don't be fooled into buying these empty promises only to full someone else's bag.  Do your own research.  Start with bitcoin and go from there.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craze for Meme coins never ends? on: December 14, 2023, 09:04:16 PM
Meme coin stories like this is like the lottery.  You will hear about these often but what you don't hear about is the loses.  Mlre often than not people lose money in these things.  Meme coins were a trend in 2020/21, you can bet it will fade at some point.  There is no purpose for these projects or tokens so it's all empty air driven by greed.  Be weary
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 14, 2023, 09:01:29 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

That's not true at all.  Richer people have a higher propensity to gamble more because they have more money to lose so naturally the optics would look like they win more.  I would say it's just because they gamble more.  That and the amount is probably much higher per bet which skews the optics as well.  Your financial position doesn't dictate if you would win or lose more.
611  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 14, 2023, 08:58:33 PM
Most people will automatically say no but that is just because they love gambling.  Anyone who is addicted and/or lose consistently obviously should say yes.  If not done correctly gambling can ruin lives so I get it.  But if done correctly and done for entertainment with money you put aside for "entertainment" than I don't see losing as a huge issue
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 14, 2023, 08:53:53 PM
Wemby is getting way too much pressure on what he is doing, he is not causing the team to lose, he is all alone as a single 18-19 year old kid can't do anything, he needs other players to help him as well. Dude is a centre, he is 7'5 and can dribble like a guard, shoot threes and blocks like it's nobodies business and we are going to see him as the responsible person for this losing streak?

I mean sure it looks terrible on a resume, and yes Chet is doing so well when you consider those two are compared, but the reality is that if you trade Chet and Wemby, then you would still see OKC doing awesome and Spurs doing terrible, there is really no reason we consider that Wemby is the main reason why they are going to end up losing.

I don't think anyone is claiming wemby is the reason the Spurs are losing.  They just don't have a good team.  Okc is a couple years ahead of them in the rebuild.  There is no one on the Spurs that can replicate what sga can do for okc.  Nobody is expecting the world from this guy.  If he just plays a large majority of the year and stays relatively injury free that would be a win.  Spurs are a couple draft picks AND a couple free agents away from competing at a top level.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 12, 2023, 09:54:37 PM
Not taking too many games except for the Warriors to win to fight with KD sitting.  I took a lot of prop bets

M moody over 7.5 points
Luka over 51.5 points/asst/reb
Derozen over 24.5 points.
Sabonis over 12.5 boards
Jarret Allen over 8.5 boards (evan mobley is out)

Looking at some more but that's the start.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2023, 09:51:50 PM
Some good matchups today and they’re being televised on TNT. First you have the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks which is almost certain to be worth the watch as LeBron James and Luka Doncic facing off never disappoints. Then you have the Suns and Warriors which have their own set of superstars facing off.

Definitely a good day for NBA fans with almost all of the top teams in action and no scrub games tonight.

The Mavs should be well rested against a I supposed tired Lakers team. The problem though is Kyrie is already out with Luka listed as questionable. Same is for LBJ and AD of the Lakers. If these 4 are out the top game will be just another game.  Cry

Since our German national center Daniel Theiss is with the Clippers I follow them a little bit more now. Theiss had solid numbers off the bench in his first games. It was so strange with the Pacers giving him a combined 4 minutes in 14 games. Of course he is no starting center or something but his defence is solid and if you use him right on offence he can produce good numbers as a role players.

I am glad he found a new home with an actual role , at least until Plumlee comes back.  Roll Eyes

Nah they probably all will suit up besides kyrie.  Dallas is on the second game of a back to back and the Lakers are the team that hasn't played since Saturday so I think you meant the opposite?  Either way yeah there are some solid games in there.  I even expect the bulls to show up here.  Got them in as a sneaky ML pick.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 11, 2023, 10:36:21 PM
The rise in the price of BTC (Bitcoin) has certainly had an effect on the market. With its increasing value, there has been a surge of interest and investment in this digital currency. This has led to a ripple effect on other cryptocurrencies as well, driving up their prices as people seek alternatives to Bitcoin.

Furthermore, due to its global reach and impact, fluctuations in the price of BTC can also have an influence on traditional financial markets. For example, when BTC experienced a sharp decline in 2018, it also caused stock markets around the world to drop.

So guys what are your thoughts about current situation.

While yes bitcoin 100% controls the crypto market.  If bitcoin is billing so is everything else and vice versa.  But the stock market or gold or bonds etc are not predicated on crypto markets...yet.  it might have been a coincidence but don't think that if bitcoin goes into a hyper bull so will the stock market.  Don't over think it.  Bitcoin runs crypto markets and that's it for now.

Edit: The under got ruined by that last-minute field goal from the Jets. Lips sealed

Tough break right there...Jets putting up 30 points in a single game is crazy though, they had six straight under 14 before today's game.

I barely hit my two-game parlay in the early window, glad i shaved off a few points of the Bears/Lions Over.

Eagles/Cowboys should be a good one, my main ticket is on the Tush Push  Grin, have one more on CeeDee Lamb and AJ Brown alt receiving yards. Cowboys struggled last week with Metcalf, while Brown went over 100 rec against a very good 49ers defense. Hoping for a high-scoring game i guess.

I had aj and ceedee on yards too.  I though easily ceedee would have shredded them.  Came up 16 yards short.  He had his chances just couldn't get that big breakthrough.  Another sneaky one I took amd will be taking the rest of the year is Michael Pittman, so long as minster is the qb.  Minster looks for him every play.  The volume is always there so the yards tend to come.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 11, 2023, 10:29:25 PM
Wembanyama is scoring more, rebounding more, blocking more right now. Plus, it looks like they are quite different in the end, Chet is tall too, but he is more like a Durant type of player, a tall skinny scorer who is doing fine, I believe in the next 10 years or so, we are going to see Chet do fine about scoring the basket, he will be an elite force on offense.

However, Wembenyama could become something we have never seen before, a 7'5 feet tall player who plays like a guard, that dude can score from the three or just take on step and dunk, that's how tall and quick he is, and he makes everything much easier for his teammates, plus he is a much better defender as well, his rim protection is near elite levels even right now, that's unreal for his age. I can see why people may prefer Chet because his team is doing better, and because OKC is better than Spurs, many think Chet is better than Wemby, but that is not the case if you ask me, just because teams are better, doesn't mean player is better.

It's way too early to tell for either of these guys.  We are barely through 2 months of theor career.  I think as with most big guys injuries, or lack of injuries will pace theor possible career.  But they eye test for me too is wemby might end up being the best of the 2.  Either way I hope they both stay on the court so we can see where theor careers go.

Pretty crazy that we've got just two weeks left until the playoffs start.  It's insane how fast the NFL season flies by.

Here's the games I like for tomorrow..

Tampa Bucs +2.5 Falcons   - Just feel like they've been playing well lately.
Detroit Lions -3 Bears-  My Bears suck
Miami Dolphins -13 Titans

There's a few other games I like, but these are the 3 I feel most comfortable with at the moment.

And that's why i can't bet on or against my giants.  If I bet against them they win, if I bet on them they lose.  It's not like this in other sports but never fails with my giants.  With that being said I can't figure out tonight's game even if I would touch it.  The other game I feel like it's a betting trap game but still threw some sheckles on Miami.  They should annihilate tonight.

I dktnkmow the legalities behind limiting someone to winning $200 or its trespassing but if the story is true then good for that guy.  He  understood he was uncontrollably addicted and did what he thought he needed to get over the addiction.  Most people don't know how to get themselves to stop so good on him.  Most people rely 100% on other people coming up with fixes this guy did it right.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 10, 2023, 11:07:23 PM
From past few weeks whenever I open any browser or social media all I could see is some random blogs and news about Altcoins which will have massive pump and which coins I have to invest.

Folks, it's times to be more cautious than every and never go with any random prediction provided over telegram or through blogs as it's a routine that once the crypto market is trending upwards and bullrun is expected we see a lot of experts in the market via various channels like Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp group sharing random coins with catchy headlines like "Top 5 altcoins with 100x pump", "Whales are investing in these altcoins", "Altcoins which will go to moon", etc.

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.

It's a great point.  When everything is pumping people tend to think they know how to time the market, which coins to pick, in and out positions, etc.  If they tend to be a popular source I'd recommend going back to when things were just about to dump last cycle and see what they were saying then.  When ypu make hundreds of predictions by default some of them are right.  Doesn't mean future success.  All in all I'd say do your own research and make your own calls.
