Toxic2040 is right.

Forget the overlay.

If such billionaires are the guys from the picture, I can guess they would use bitcoin to leverage oil prices.

Physical metals are not ring worlds.

They are, because their price is suppressed by the fiat system, which is based on unpayable global debt.

The only thing that can free PMs values is to change the fiat system to a bitcoin system. In this way, governments would have to sell their gold for bitcoin, thus increasing gold price.

But then, you are against bitcoin, so I understand you are on the side of the fiat system, that is, you enjoy PMs price suppression by paper derivatives.

Longs are being squeezed, but if the spike was a bull trap I can't understand why it lasted only a few minutes....

It wasnt, probably there were too many bots programmed to trigger sells at that point.

Look at siacoin that i made so much profit on,  it acts as a decentrallised cloud server on the blockchain, pays people to store other peoples encrypted data with fail safes.  Inginious idea, but still sometihing like only 10 terabytes used,  when $150m is invested (or at least the market cap).  thats 5 x $50 2TB harddrives.

Thats because every altcoin have its price pegged to bitcoin.

I wouldn't say pegged so much as reactionary to bitcoins movements.  But during the long bear market from 2013 -2016, most alts were decimated until bitcoin revived.  but a few good alts emerged during the bear market, ETH, Monero ect.

I asked in the altcoin forum if someone was making money out of Storj, which have a proposal similar to Siacoin.

Nobody answered. These projects are dead. Im not saying the idea of renting your disk space is bad, though.

[...] this is not organic.  I want out.

Don't go out too soon. Don't miss that single chance in life....

He is experiencing what I did in 2014-2015. In 2015 I was also super happy for getting out at $1k (I had 2btc btw Grin) It was a brilliant moment in 2015 when BTC hit $200.  I cashed out at the fucking top.

I was a fucking genius, trading expert, thee master.

...

Then I bought those 2btc for $5k each and I still consider myself lucky. If I ever catch $5k, I'll probably buy another 2. (or might even go all in but that's a bit unlikely)

I guess he'll have to learn by the hard way.

Maybe the current majortiy are right, and i'll propper pissed off with myself if there is the 50k party.    But all the alts,  surely like the dotcom bubble vast numbers of the alt coins need to die.   It's a world of shit with a few diamonds.  And no gaurantees what coins will survie,  im sure there needs to be a mass cull in the next few years.

Why you dont go incremental? Buy a little here, a little there. If you make a bad decision, it will not affect your entire investment, just a small part of it.

611  Local / Brasil / Re: Agora é Lei - Corretoras e também usuários deverão prestar contas à receita. on: May 30, 2019, 03:50:27 PM

612  Local / Brasil / Re: Agora é Lei - Corretoras e também usuários deverão prestar contas à receita. on: May 30, 2019, 03:26:12 PM

613  Economy / Economics / Re: Surveillance Capitalism, Facebook coin, KYC, crypto on: May 29, 2019, 11:02:56 PM
Whenever I hear of those Facebook Coin news, first thing that comes to my mind are old arcades where you exchange your coins for their "coins". That's what they all really are.

When I read about facebook coins, first thing that comes to my mind are soyboys bowing down to soviet bureaucrats.

I decided to get my hands dirty and experimented BSV yesterday.

So I bought some BSV in Bittrex, and sent it to a Exodus wallet. It was the first time I was using a Exodus wallet. The transaction was quite fast, but by then there were not many people moving BSV in the exchanges.

Today I saw the price skyrocket. So I thought that the BSV network would be under stress.

I decided to sell, as I would get 0.03BTC more for the trade. First I tried to send 0.1BSV to Bittrex, just to test it. 30 minutes passed, the amount got stuck in the network.

Then I noticed the Exodus wallet have a built-in exchange function. Not exactly like a exchange with a order book, but kinda in a OTC model. They charge a fee and exchange your coins in a way similar to Shapeshift.

So I go for it.

One hour passed. I contacted the support, which was very kind and responsive. The coins were stuck in the BSV chain, not the BTC chain. Only four confirmations after one hour.

Two hours later my BTC funds arrived. The support warned me by email. I reopened Exodus and the BTC was there.

So this is BSV. Judge by yourself.

The bear will say it was Exodus.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / can you still make money with Storj? on: May 29, 2019, 07:57:10 PM
Do any of you rent hard disk space to Storj? Is Storj paying well?
616  Economy / Economics / Re: Surveillance Capitalism, Facebook coin, KYC, crypto on: May 29, 2019, 07:20:04 PM
People complain about KYC (and with reason), but you check BISQ and it have only two dozens of users selling and buying crypto.

There are ways to have decentralized exchanges, but the cattle dont want to get out of the pasture.

Is this a mix of a crypto exchange and a stock exchange? Look innovative if so.
618  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will hit $1M on 2020 - John McAfee on: May 29, 2019, 07:05:45 PM
We can't deny tho the fact that "Luka Magnotta" ( A self proclaimed time traveler) have predicted bitcoin price realistically except for the 2021 expected prediction.
What?  I'll admit I only skimmed the OP here, but that guy (unless there's another dude with the same name) is in prison in Canada for unspeakable crimes.  And I'm sure he doesn't own any bitcoin in the hoosegow.

Now, let me ask all of you:  do you seriously want bitcoin to be worth $1 million next year?  Think about how insane the price curve would have to be for that to happen.  You would have to be as criminally insane as Luka Magnotta to think that we wouldn't be in a bubble at that point (though you wouldn't get locked up for it).  I don't want that.  I do want BTC to be at $1 million at some point, but not next year

I hate these crazy predictions.  They remind me of that stock analyst who called a $400 price on AOL stock back in 1999 or so, which was off the charts for AOL back then....and then AOL actually did hit that price.  After that, history speaks for itself.

I think he was talking about John Titor, but in his timeline he was called Luka Magnotta. You know, Mandela Effect...

Well....

1) I dunno. The pervasive narrative in this here space is that everything out of Craig's mouth is either: a lie, or; simply wrong. As such, how could anything he say undermine the legitimacy of the sector?
OTOH, if he has the capability to carry out such a threat, how would his huge advance warning not be a good thing?

2) I dunno again. Before vanishing, Satoshi revealed very little of his personal proclivities. I see no evidence therein to support the notion that he might not use his substantial war chest in order to tilt the market in favor of what he perceives as the more faithful rendition of his ideals. What exactly am I missing in his writings?

But if he crashes the market, BSV will also go down with it.

My guess is that he wants people to have some doubt and hedge in BSV just in case he crashes the market. But their fork war with BCH brought every coin down, including BSV.
