Synched a node right now, and I have zero BTG in my old wallet.
Before synching, I sent all my BTC to a new wallet, to claim my BTG. This was done 05 and 06 february 2018.
When I opened the BTG qt wallet, I waited for the synch. It took hours.
It is complete now, but there is zero BTG inside the old wallet.
The operations with BTC were replayed in the BTG chain, but they are show with a "?" in place of confirmations, for all operations after october 2017, when the fork happened.
I'm very sad. Spent around 25 dollars to move all my BTC to the new wallet. When I synched BCH, back in august 2017, I did it the same way, and it worked fine.
Edit: it worked now, it was the wallet. It had no addresses listed in it. However, the addresses were in the transactions list. I checked the BTG explorer site and the coins were there. So I used another copy and now is showing up. This other copy, however, had a segwit address, added after the fork. I dont know what happened.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin CRASHES to $6K today as THE PROPHET warned in this forum

I need more than a single call to consider someone a prophet. 5.5K was a super easy call, I made it months ago, and my opinion is we are seeing 10K before we see 1K
Are you implying we are going to see 10k and then 1k? A violent bounce like that? And after 1k, what will be? Do you think it would stand too much time there? Chinese new year is ten days ahead. If it is to have such bounce, it would go back to 2.5-3.5k at most, and would be short-lived. And a lot of people would get burned, on both sides.

Do BTG have replay protection?
I have moved by BTC to another wallet yesterday and today, to claim BTG in the old wallet.
However, upon opening BTG, with the old BTC wallet, it shows all operations from yesterday and today. The fork was in october.
It didnt synch yet, just started doing it, but the ledger shows these operations, going to addresses starting with G.
Now I dont know if it is because it is not synched, or if dont have replay protection and the operations were replayed in the other wallets. Anyone can clarify that?

Force the old whales to dump it by pumping it to such a height, that they would be tempted to sell. In this way, Wall Street would not have been dumping any time, but accumulating, first buying through the pump, second from the whales, and last from the panic sellers. Parallel to that, Ifinex would dump their btc for the tether audit as well, and WS would buy from them too. This is how they could dominate the market.

This is really interesting. But did he stop believing in Bitcoin, or did he avoid a greater loss knowing the repercussions of Tether? And for that reason you chose an exchange instead of an OTC operation. Did someone get some print screen out of the sales wall, if it formed any, it could mean that he wanted to contribute to a crash and eventually profit from it?
From what I watched, he said lightning network would stimulate people to sell bitcoin, since they would be spending it to buy stuff, and this would bring the price down. I didn't find any basis for his explanation, because LN would increase adoption, and the higher demand would raise the price.

I have mixed feelings about this. 2.3billion $ is a lot. It may help burying that down. Dont underestimate the power of money.
I think they already dumped btc for that. Marketcap had lost more than 100 billion.
