622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: September 06, 2023, 04:40:45 AM
I would advise this guy to quit gambling and save his mother's psychological health, or to find a part-time job and spend the money he earns as he sees fit. In this case, the guy will have a job and his mother will not worry.
I agree. Even he's already in legal age to gamble, the point is, he's still depending on his parents financially and the money given is meant for his studies and not for leisure.

Thus, it's normal for parents to be worried if they became aware that their son is into gambling. Therefore, an advice of looking for a side job is better rather than relying on his mother's given allowance. This way, the son can have a budget if he wants to entertain himself through gambling.
623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 06, 2023, 02:21:33 AM
I think it is much better if you could somehow work it out one way or another. This means that contacting customer support is the best way to do it because they will be getting the ticket in their system that way and can't close it until it is solved, and that's what they will aim at doing, so you will get help.
The team can respond towards it but think he might be just putting false allegations against them judging from the trust ratings but yeah the last information and decisions depend on the team and I doubt they would do anything wrong unless some users abuse the terms.
I think their job should be to shoot down any type of fake allegations against them as well. If someone comes here and talks about them like they are doing something wrong, rollbit has to come up and say that they are not doing anything wrong and they are doing the right thing at the end.

I believe that is the most important thing and we should not be really caring about it at all when someone just comes in and complains, we should be only to care about it when there is a proof of it. Unless someone comes with a proof that they have been wronged, then I am not going to believe them. Some people just come here and talk, I can write anything I want as well, I can say I am actually Joe Biden, would you believe me? We need either proof, or no need to believe.
Every online forum is like a battlefield for image, and when false accusations come up, companies should act quickly to protect themselves.  Even though I agree that accusations without proof are useless, the same can be said about businesses. If Rollbit or any other online gambling site says they're honest, where's THEIR proof? A lot can be gained by being open about processes, licenses, and audits. Not everyone who complains on a website has the means to back up what they say. What if it was up to the companies to show their legitimacy in a way that a skeptic could trust?

The gamblers playing on the site are the ones who can say if the casino is trustworthy or not. Because it's futile even the particular site is claiming they're honest if the majority of their gambler's had a negative experience playing on their site. Well, there's no perfect casino but it's a different matter if one really intended to just scam their players.

Anyway, the representative already answered the complaints against them and also willing to cooperate to any third party (or escalate the matter to their licensor) so they can provide proofs that the accusation is false.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala - is it over or will it recover? on: September 06, 2023, 01:05:25 AM
Is Gala still a good investment or not anymore? See link below
I really feel sorry for those who have invested in GALA because I see that GALA has a very high scam potential. It will be safer to store assets in BTC. I had a bad incident in 2017 where I lost almost $1,000 in altcoins and since then I decided to keep my assets in BTC only.
Alts are more risky to invest in. GALA is no different especially the current price is declining. Investing in this coin is risky since you're not certain if it can recover once the bear market is over.

So if you already invested, maybe you can wait and see if there's a changes. But if you didn't invest yet then refrain and look for other coins that are worthy to hold (like Bitcoin). I'd rather invest to established coins than to take risk in a coin with no clear future if it might skyrocket or turn as shitcoin.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: September 05, 2023, 09:01:13 AM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
Well, If he is just using Bitcoin as currency and not holding it for long to gain, then for me he's just using it for convenience. Because if we say investor, you're waiting to gain from what you invested either for short or long term. Therefore if you're not gaining from Bitcoin then I don't think you're an investor since you have other purpose on how you use your Bitcoin.

Anyway, we have our own understanding and stance regarding this hence I don't think it's a big deal. We're free to use our Bitcoin depending on what we think is beneficial and of course on what we believe in.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 05, 2023, 05:27:09 AM
You don't need to eat at those expensive restaurants if you can eat it in a normal restaurant, because if you are just earning minimum wage, then you don't need to eat at those restaurants. Don't be fancy, and you are right, don't buy those nonsense items that you don't need. It is really about self-control because, as others have stated, if you can't afford it, don't push yourself to afford it at that time; instead, work hard so that you can afford it in the future. Right now, because of the high prices, people are sure getting a budget on everything.

Sure, you do not need those things, however, people are living not only needing lives. We have desires, ambitions, self esteem and endeavour for realisation. We have to earn our place in society. And that is why we are doing a lot of things. Yes, we could not do it, but then our lives would look dull, savourless and boring. A person should strive for something, desire something. Only then does he or she feel alive.

But in the meantime, you should be disciplined with your spending if you are just earning the minimum wage. Yes, all of us have desires and ambitions that we need to gradually achieve, but that doesn't mean that you should make an abrupt move because your life is boring. In the meantime, to achieve those dreams you want, you need to have discipline in life, not only in finances, because how would you be achieving your wants if you were already broke.
I agree. Prioritize the needs first, before the wants and be practical (for now). If you have desires that you want to achieve then work on it, strive hard so you can turn your dreams into reality. However, if your current situation is hindering you to achieve whatever goal you have in life then it's time to do something that can help to change what you used to.

On the other side, to avoid the short of budget due to unnecessary expenses, before your pay day, list down the essential things (food, bills, transpo etc.) so you can budget beforehand the amount allocated for these expenses. Don't spend more than what you can earn to be able to save some money for the future. Discipline is important if you don't want to struggle financially. Much better if you can increase your earnings by looking for a side hustle and not just relying alone in your main job.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give Him a loan Or Partner With Him on: September 05, 2023, 03:06:09 AM
What would be the best option if a friend who happens to be good at horse racing lost his fortune coming from betting in horse racing because of illness and came to you and asked for a loan and honestly stated that he wants to use it betting in horse racing to recover his fortune.
The fact that he will just use the money (that I will lend to him) in gambling, makes me hesitate to give him a loan. Regardless what form of gambling he is good at, it is still gambling and not guaranteed.

Therefore, I will just give him money as a help for his illness and not to use in horse racing. Even let's say he is good in horse racing, but you can never be so sure that you're still good like what you used to before since it's been a while. Moreover, in gambling, you need luck to win, so I will advice this friend to look for other ways to earn money rather than relying on gambling to get his fortune back.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: September 05, 2023, 01:59:55 AM
IMHO, everything is saying already the exact thing of what has happened and what's the real job of a betting agent. Yeah, why would he let the gambler borrow money? To pressure him so he'll come back, so what if he won't? That's how a business will turn into dust if there are styles like that per se.
The agent lured the gambler to borrow to be able to continue playing. It's also his fault for tolerating and encouraging the gambler despite of knowing that this person will be in a hard position for losing what the gambler borrowed. Well, it's not surprising since he is a betting agent but in this case he probably realized that what he did is not wise since the gambler didn't return to pay what he owe.

And for the worker, it's better not to gamble if you don't have money and if life's too hard then don't spend what you can't afford to lose and we're all saying that many times and for different cases. As usual, it's very applicable to those type of gamblers that becomes out of control when they're having fun.
Clearly this gambler didn't control himself resulting to losses and debt, now he will pay the price. It's a lesson learned for him and a reminder for other gamblers to only play using your own money and set a limit on when to stop.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take to play casino? on: September 04, 2023, 08:09:49 AM
The Martingale strategy is for me be the best technique, because it only requires one win to make back all previous losses. Just don't trust people that want to sell you a perfect gambling strategy that will always make you money. It doesn't exist, there is always risk involved in even the best strategies.

I once tried using The Martingale strategy in a slot game. At first it worked, but after playing for a long time the strategy didn't work, I doubled the bet many times but the freespin bonus results were very bad. This method makes my money run out quickly. Another weakness is that the required balance is quite large, I often run out of balance when raising bets, and bonuses with good results appear when my balance is almost used up.

Any suggestions, which games are suitable for using the Martingale strategy?
Martingale is a strategy that can busted your funds fast. In playing slots you need a decent capital if you're going to use this strategy that's why I don't play slots often. Every time I gamble, my first choice to play is live baccarat, chances to win compared to other luck based games are somehow high (but it's not guaranteed). I also tried the martingale strategy in this game, I can't say it's suitable or working but for me if you're a risk taker then this game is for you. Nevertheless, regardless what games you play, if you're not lucky, then any strategy can't help you to win.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Stay Safe and Avoid Scams When Gambling Online on: September 04, 2023, 04:17:10 AM
I think the number one thing is to simply do your homework on the casino and make sure they don’t have a bunch of complaints from users/members. If they’ve been around a long time and have a good reputation, obviously that’s your first big step.
Exactly. By doing this we can avoid playing on shady platforms because we did a research on what casino has a good reputation and recommended by gamblers without much complaints (since no one is perfect but they're doing their best to resolved any issues, this is for legit casinos).

Then, don’t leave much money in the exchanges. I never leave more than $2-300 dollars worth of bitcoin on any site. Being that it’s so easy to move bitcoin in and out, why take the risk.
It's not really advisable to leave your money on a platform if you're not going to use it because it's not safe. That's why I only deposit a money on my gambling account to play and if ever I win, I immediately withdraw it.

Anyway, nowadays KYC is quite common for centralized casinos. Therefore, to be certain that your informations are secure on the platform where you will submit it. Choose a reputable casino where many gamblers are playing since it's trusted.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: September 04, 2023, 02:47:00 AM
Everything can be controlled as long as we stay sane.  But the moment we get addicted of it, it will change everything.  Addiction means we are not in control anymore but the urge is.  So whether it is lust, gambling, alcohol, or drugs, if we get addicted to it, there is no way of controlling it unless we ask for treatment and get cured.  So in as early as possible when we engage in gambling, we must inculcate in our mind that we must gamble responsibly, have moderation, and always have a personal check to see whether we have the sign of being addicted and correct our ways even before addiction dominates our brains.
That's true. If we don't want to be in a situation wherein we can't control ourselves anymore as an addicted gambler. Then before we play, think of the worst things that can happen or the consequences if we let ourselves be hooked in gambling. This way, you'll play with discipline since you're aware of the negative effects of gambling.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong if you want to gamble and to have some fun. But just like what you've said it should be in moderation so we can prevent ourselves becoming addicted. Because once you're in such situation, it's already hard to quit and usually professional help is necessary in order to overcome it.

Sabi nga sa isang verse sa bible:  'Ask and You Shall Receive', Matthew 7:7.

633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 03, 2023, 09:49:01 AM
What is the one behaviour you noticed in a gambler and  you dislike it? You don't need to have a reason for disliking it but you just do.

As for me I dislike when gamblers complain of their losses, meanwhile you hear them complain when they are getting winnings.

What about you, what do you dislike ?
Getting mad after losing money. Well, it's not unusual to have such feeling because we have a bad day but you should not be angry if ever you lose your money. Remember that no one force you to play, it's your own will. So if ever you lose the money that you can't live without then it is your fault because you didn't control yourself.

Another thing is, blaming someone for the unfortunate situation after facing losses. Similar to getting mad, pointing finger to someone to blame for what had happened is not acceptable. A gambler should know the possible consequences of playing so he/she can expect the outcome and to prepare himself. If you can't bear losing your money in gambling then don't gamble, that is simple.
634  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: September 03, 2023, 08:59:53 AM
managing total risk per platform is definitely a smart strategy
if you care about privacy too them opting for casinos without kyc is a good ideia though you probably won't find many or will find more with lower volume than the big ones.
what are other strategies you usually use?
and yes there are only few of Non KYC casinos now because of government as this leaves them no choice but to brace the regulations ,so if that is the only option then what should they act?
but my strategy is mostly limiting my funds to spend because for me that is the safest way at least to prevent everything that is not necessary .
Well, if the law states that you have to have KYC to operate as a casino then you have to get that information, that's just how it is. There are a few, even at the very top, that do not ask for it straight up and only ask for it when something happens but I have to say that's going to be a troublesome thing on the long run.

I think it's quite important to remember that we are talking about a situation where it's out of casinos hands to ask for it or not, if they do ask for it then they can exist, but if they do not ask for it then they will be basically considered as a illegally managed casino and the governments will be after them. I think gambling being illegal is a tough decision, I still think it should be legal.
It is necessary for these casinos to abide the law to be able to get a license, that includes asking for KYC. We don't want to play on a casino without license, right? Because that means they're not operating legally. Thus, it's quite common now for a centralized casinos to ask their players to verify their identity. Though some of them (as you've said) don't ask beforehand and will just do it after something happened or you win huge and exceeds the withdrawal limit to be ask for kyc.

Nevertheless, it's understandable if many gamblers still don't like this idea but that's how it is, if you want to continue playing then expect this procedure will be ask sooner or later.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 03, 2023, 04:16:50 AM
I am not fond of cockfighting but I see people who are madly in love with this kind of game.  They even have a farm for the fighting rooster and they take care of them way more than his family.  They will get their roosters checked if something goes wrong while neglecting his family's health.  I do not know what comes to the mind of these people since they treasure their fighting cocks way more than themselves and their families.
I have a relative who takes care of rooster as his hobby. He do sell it sometimes but often, he is the one going to arena (for cockfighting) to bet on his own rooster with his friends. Even his family is against it (they believe it can't make them rich) there's nothing they can do since he is not listening.

Cockfighting is very popular in my country to the point that e-sabong become trending.  Even during the pandemic, there are people who gather to make "tupada" (illegal cockfighting), they even use cemeteries as a place for cockfighting to hide their illegal activities.
It is quite popular that many gamblers became addicted. Even those who have nothing to eat still finds a way to sustain their addiction. Thus, it's just right that the former president ends the operation of e-sabong.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: September 03, 2023, 02:41:25 AM
I'm sure it's because you're too hasty. Try to really set a strategy before gambling and when you are in a good state of mind to do it. like the first point it looks like you are too hasty in gambling. try to rest a few days first, after that maybe it will be much more stable. and remember not to gamble too much it won't make you rich quickly.
Indeed. If you had a bad experience, try not to gamble for days to refrain yourself from recovering your losses. Moreover don't play if your desire is to win and not to have fun. Because if you're playing to win, chances are, you'll spend more than your set budget since you have this goal of gaining from your gambling activity.

In addition, no strategy can actually work in gambling that can give consistent profit. You might become lucky if you use a certain strategy but it doesn't mean it is effective. Therefore don't rely in such since gambling is usually depending on luck.

knowing when to stop, again
knowing when to say: that's enough for me.

it's probably one of the wisest things to learn.
Knowing your stop limits and taking actions on them will help you a lot and if you take necessary steps beforehand it will help to reduce the financial burden otherwise learning from the mistakes can be costly in gambling .
I agree. Why wait to learn from your mistake if you can do something to prevent that from happening. Set a limit on how much to spend and have a self-control. That way, you don't have to suffer on spending the money that you can't live without then will have a regrets later because you didn't gamble in moderation.

Anyway, just saw the due date of art contest is extended. This can increase the participants since they're given an extension to submit their entries.
638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take your eyes off from the fall in price on: September 01, 2023, 06:05:46 AM
As a young bitcoiner that is having plans to invest in bitcoin or already investing. How do you feel about the current price of bitcoin?
* is it encouraging to you that this is an opportunity for you to buy more.
* does it makes you  lose  hope concerning your investment that it should have gone beyond bitcoin current price of $25,835.
I'm a long term investor and used to seeing the price of Bitcoin turning up and down. Hence, it's not surprising anymore if the market currently is not what many investors expected it to be (turning bullish because of the near halving). So if you dyor before investing to Bitcoin, you'll understand how it works because you track its past history and aware of what happened in the past.

Thus, if you're a new investor and losing hope due to the current condition, remember that this is just temporary. It can help if you stop monitoring the market and forget for a while the price to prevent stressing yourself and thinking how long the bear season will last. It's part of the cycle and it has an advantage for investors waiting to buy at cheaper price.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: September 01, 2023, 03:24:37 AM
But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?
The price increase of rice is the current problem that we're facing here. Rice is our staple food here and it's struggle for many (especially to the less fortunate) to afford buying rice. Imagine, almost everything are increasing yet the salary of the workers are still the same. It's hard to cope if you're just relying on your salary and no other source of income.

Some people are even blaming the particular politician they elected from the past election for not doing what he promised during its campaign. Well, we have no choice but to go with flow, work hard and keep striving for our family.
640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to help our children. on: September 01, 2023, 01:05:27 AM
Well, there's always a time for everything. If your kids are quite young, let them enjoy their childhood. They're not late to know Bitcoin if they grow older. Because they have you as their parent who invest early and can pass the knowledge (and your holdings) to them as your heirs.

Anyway, in my case my eldest is already aware of Bitcoin because she is already a teenager. But her knowledge about it is still limited, just the basic on how she can use Bitcoin as currency. I don't want to coerce her to understand everything since she is still young. If she come of age and still interested, pretty sure she will dig deeper even without my intervention.
