621  Economy / Economics / Re: IMPACTS OF ROBOTICS ON WORLD ECONOMY on: September 24, 2020, 10:35:53 PM
Robot are programmed and no matter how sophisticated they become can not replace human work force where human feelings/instincts are to be/ are needed, like in medicine robots can bring medicines/materials to patients but can't connect with the patient they way a nurse would.
Robots can be added help to human work force, more of a faster hand in labour in factories, delivery aids, run errands/message, no doubt it has a positive touch/influence on the economy
The human power that is still needed in powerful work and robots only helps to carry on the work neatly and the rest of the humans will make it better for jobs, I think robots cannot change the economy in other ways but only help lighter human jobs...

Well, with jobs that needs precision and speed, usually factories are using robots or an AI rather than a human. That being said it doesn't make the human's work lighter, it will be the replacement of human's job in this case. It is true though that right now there are these robots that makes our lives better, faster, efficient and convinient but that would also means less employment in the future.

I don't know if this is just a coincidence but one of the most popular ISP here in our country, PLDT/Smart is notifying their costumers for their maintenance starting tomorrow until the end of the month. Schools that are affected are already notifying the students about this to stop their online classes until the maintenance are done. Just how bad will be the effect of this maintenance to big companies and corporations that uses their services.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin transaction fees be too high in the future? on: September 24, 2020, 12:35:53 PM
~
Right now the median fee is about $2. After lots of halvings the reward won't be enough to satisfy the miners.
~

In my opinion, in the future, where all the bitcoin's have already been mined, the transaction fees will get higher because these miners does not have taking any rewards. The only money that they can take is from the transaction fees from every single blocks they were able to create. I don't know what will happen next because of this. We'll know if we get there.

As they said, there will be an equilibrium that will happen. And since we are still not talking about when all of the bitcoins are mined, as the difficulty increases, that would also mean that the transaction fees will increase because of the value of bitcoin also increasing. That is the effect of halving making it fair for all of us.

With so many scams happening using Bitcoin, it makes Bitcoin look bad.
...

And for those that are using bitcoin and investing bitcoin for a long time that can't distinguish scam projects and scam schemes, those people still look bad or unknowledgeable. People should be able to distinguish them, it is not the fault of bitcoin, the fault is in that investor or individual that is scammed. People will take advantage of the people being naive that they could earn easily and quickly that is why you should analyze a project well.
ouch man dont treat them like that . they aready got scammed and then your still angry with them . why not talk calmly and instead of blaming them why not educate them so that they can avoid being scammed next time .

I am not mad, and I am calm since I am just explaining it and actually stating the fact. Earning money is not that easy even though you get a profit from bitcoin because it is increasing from time to time doesn't mean it is that easy. Bitcoin also falls, we all know that, that is why we are analyzing the charts, the market that should be the same with the investments that we are doing. You don't just put your money into something because you want to earn, you also wanted to help the project but also at the time you should analyze that project's legitimacy. It is your money, you should be careful with it.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 23, 2020, 10:18:00 PM
Esports is taking the spotlight and many minors love the game. We just hope they will not go into a worst path when they gamble.
They will not if they have responsible parents who will look at their kids activities online, kids will just play and do whatever they fancy to do, they have no control yet and thinks like e sports betting are part of the game, this is where the parents should come in to supervise and guide the kids on how to react on this things, parents should be aware that everything online are not all good for kids.

With a lot of teenagers on the internet right now, that would be hard to do. Let's be honest, you could go in a lot of platforms and there is no way that there is no kid in there. Not all of the parents can supervise their children especially those with their own rooms and own PCs they could use. Some of them are even streaming and you could see their behavior is not that appropriate to begin with. And with a lot of people to influence them online, that would make it harder.

Lakers 2, Nuggets 1

With under five minutes in the 4th quarter, I though Lakers is going to mount a late comeback. They managed to bring the lead down to three but Nuggets pulled away again.

I fancy Nuggets chances of beating the Lakers in this series. I like how they always look the underdog but they don't really care who is in front of them hehe.
They mount a comeback, but damn, Murray is hot and closing the game with that long 3's. It's was a good comeback from the Lakers though, but it is not enough. I thought we might see a overtime in game 3. But Nuggets is too much and makes the series more interesting. And the good thing is that they're able to have a good lead, unlike in the first two games wherein they are the one mounting a late comeback. And this give them enough cushion they lead as much as 20 at one point.
What happen with these guys (Davis, Howard, McGee)? They only got 4 rebounds in total though, quite unreal considering their height, they should've at least secured 8 to 10 boards between them  Undecided.

All I know is that Howard is having a bad day. A lot of mistakes and turnovers, even though Rondo created a lot of opportunities for them to run after the score in the fourth quarter with consecutive steals, they still lost. Another thing I know is that Denver Nuggets is one game away from 3-1, this has been a meme for some time now.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 22, 2020, 11:44:39 PM
He is a MVP but not the leader of the LA Lakers, it's always been Lebron who is the leader of every team he played and Davis although has some exceptional talent hasn't been able to enjoy the success he had with Lakers already. They are on the lead now, 2-0 which gives them a huge chance of winning but it's still early to say that they will win, they still need to win 2 more games and then that's it, it's gonna be AD's first NBA finals appearance.
I wish to see Anthony Davis too win in MVP because Lebron had been MVP already. It is an experience in his side this is why I think it is better for lebron to give way this to Anthony Davis. Anyway,  AD too had shown good playing skills and I think this is enough for him to win the MVP. The 2-0 advantage for them is an indicator that lakers team is truly a good team with strong players having a high chances to wn championship in this season.
That would be depend from their performances after reaching the finals and win the title, it's too early though as series
still ongoing from WCF while there's also another sets of series in case they win against Nuggets.
AD deserve it in case he win it over LeBron but respect wise for me AD will allow LeBron to get that as part of his legacy.

But then again, let's not forget how the media hates Lebron James. There are a lot of proofs that Lebron should've been able to get the MVP award since most of the players that get them are been over stat by Lebron like Derrick Rose and Steve Nash. Even the DPOY of Marc Gasol has been opening lately because of how maybe LBJ are frustrated to it.

I wish to see Anthony Davis too win in MVP because Lebron had been MVP already. It is an experience in his side this is why I think it is better for lebron to give way this to Anthony Davis.

I wish too but LeBron giving way to Davis "intentionally" just for the purpose of the latter to become a Finals MVP is not a good idea. It does mean that LeBron will not play on his usual. It will destroy the team's usual system.

Just let them work as a team and don't mind the stats. Play hard, play seriously, everyone should do their best to contribute - what matters is to win. Take advantage whenever a player is hot and on fire. I know they already know what should be the gameplay if a certain player is having a bad night e.g if LBJ is having difficulty in his field goals, focus on other aspects, same goes to his teammates.

True. That time, they are desperate to win and the one with the hot hands at that time is AD which is an obvious option since they need to depend on that hands to win the game.
628  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 22, 2020, 11:33:09 PM
People here in our place nowadays are talking about marriage since the expense of weddings are now so cheap unless you wanted a big celebration which might end up being in jail because of the pandemic protocols. Usually, rings are inherited from their parents but they are buying it and based on some of the newlyweds, even though the price of weddings in churches is cheap, the rings are quite expensive since most of them are being sent from a city to our province.

...And regarding guns, in a majority of the criminal cases the weapons used are not legally registered.

What I am saying is that with the drug being legalized I think more crimes with a gun might increase considering the percentage of people that own a gun in the US. It is said that 30% of the people in the US own a gun, legally or illegally that would affect the user when using the drug, also we're talking about the crime rates here not the death rate.

It is either they regulate and adapt from it or they stop or ban crypto currencies. Either way, I don't care what will happen, all I can do right now is to take advantage of the price changes as long as it is still profitable, as long as I know it can be used in the future.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 21, 2020, 11:52:06 AM
Next month would make it my 15 solid years in betting world. I have experienced a lot of bitterness to the extent of committing suicide due to huge amount I have lost to it.

This just proves that a lot of people might have these ideas of getting big or winning against the house but they will never get out or escape the reality that what they are dealing with is still gambling. There is no 100% chance that you will win, you are still risking your money, time, and yourself to something that might destroy your life, your relationship and your future.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 21, 2020, 10:50:03 AM
I have no hope now foe nuggets to win against lakers. If not only with James and Davis my bet will be for nuggets. Lakers had clearly advantage on this with nuggets and they can win in this match. Game 3 -4 will be possible for Nuggets to win but Lakers will not allow more than 2 wins in this series. They should relax for a moment in this advantage.

The can take the Lakers and I know they can even win this WFC. Seeing the recent match, you could see how the team is working on how they could help the team win. Not just Jokic, not just Murray, but defensively there is Dozier which is so amazing especially in the final rounds where he led the Lakers to commit their turnovers. AD is just on fire for hitting that game-winner, they really took advantage of his hot hands to win this game.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 20, 2020, 11:59:57 PM
The heated argument on the locker room makes the Celtics team energized the next game. They won and it's impressive.

I think it is not kind of an argument but a vent of frustration. They know they can win, they know they can take the Miami Heat on but they aren't playing like it. Boston Celtics should keep on pushing especially to this kind of team that as you've said, that they kept on rallying, and if Boston can't answer those, they're in big trouble. The fact that they gave a great game last game means they can still win the series.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 20, 2020, 03:23:36 PM
In skill games you have a good chance to win if you only do your assignment  of course you will have to allocate time and a lot of lessons and testing but once you master or accomplish this you are on your way to make continuous profit, many gamblers are making a lot of money from taking up skill games than traditional gambling that only requires luck.

But lets not forget that we are still gambling, you should not underestimate this since there are a lot of lives destroyed by this. Even though this is a skill game, there is still a chance for us to lose. Continuous profit might be a dream of you that covers the reality of losing your funds.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 20, 2020, 01:58:47 PM
Of course! It will be good in the sense that this business from the shadow and criminal business became an ordinary business (sorry for the tautology), and also related to medicine.

Thats will be the main problem when that time comes. Criminal activities will increase as this drug can be used anytime, as guns are so normal to own in US, it will be a good pair in my opinion.
637  Economy / Economics / Re: Brazil largest investment bank just created a 100% cryptocurrency backed fund on: September 19, 2020, 12:32:45 AM
This is good news for Brazil and for the entire community because this is how Bitcoin is showing that it is a reliable asset for investors. Now we can assure that these large investors will create their businesses to lead the Bitcoin-based economy, I hope. In greater detail I would like to know more because Brazil is my neighbor because I live in Venezuela.

All I know is that it is great since we've been in a debate for a long time about bitcoin not being this high in the corporate scales, even though it is just Brazil, still, that gives us something that other countries might follow. This might lead to better things in the future like maybe bitcoin as usually debated in the past, reserve like gold.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why government Don't kill btc? on: September 18, 2020, 11:41:01 PM
what government do maybe only make regulation in their country to make people not use bitcoin. But to kill BTC, i think it will be hard since it is a technology and maybe will need to shut down the internet to make people not use it anymore.

I don't think they need to "shut down" the internet since they can't just do that. Most of the jobs right now needed the accessibility on the internet and restricting that for one reason is just absurd. They have bigger problems than bitcoin and other crypto currencies especially now that we are in a pandemic. It is not that they don't want to or can't it is just that they don't care.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin society on: September 18, 2020, 10:56:59 PM
I am not the kind of guy or individual that you've said but I am here to get something out of it. I've been getting some profits from my investments and I am also looking forward to what the future of bitcoin holds. I did'nt found myself here, it is just that it is more convinient here.
Many dstill didn't see the convenience bitcoin can offer to them in doing transactions, some still thinks its a scam my investment and others were just lazy to study itt or how they can earn from., some maybe were not a risky type of persons that can't invest anywhere.
Atleast you try and uses BTC for your benefit, which we all aimed for to have a fast and smooth transactions and at the same time can be a good. Investment when handled properly, only few have courage enough to buy crypto and we're good lucky since we knew it before them.

Well, I guess it is not that they can't see what bitcoin's future holds and what it can do for them but I think it is just that only a few people actually accepts it and use it the reason they don't know it and here in our country usually it is considered as a scam since people don't know what it really is and that is how the media shows it.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 18, 2020, 10:08:44 PM
Thank you for these precisions.
Ok so it's a very special kind of betting, it's very hazardous as far as I understand. You can't really guess which is the strongest opponent before the start of the fight apparently. So it's more a gambling game than a betting game at the end...

As a kid growing, we never even thought about this as gambling since we are just having fun goingon mountain sides, hunting for these spiders. In our place, you show your spider and the other one will show a spider and you two will agree of they are match or not. We don't usually bet on it because if you lose, the spider that you hunt for hours will be the food of his.
