Something is happening in Canada. I don't know what it is, but I don't like it.

Spring?

I just checked into a hotel downtown Toronto. My plan was to hit the ATM's this afternoon, but it's too cold to capitulate on foot. Idk how the hell Jimbo does this.

Typically in a taxi, IIRC

MorphToken Announces Support for Monero Subaddresses
anyone tried them?
they said we do not track any user data. is it true? are they trustable?

Dafuq is a morph token?  Is that like my buddy Brad who smokes weed while on morphine  pain killers?

It is not a token, don't like their choice of names but wateva.  You can morph one token, I mean coin into another, so they are like shapeshift or evercoin and their fees are lower.  Actually you can morph one coin into several different ones in the same tx.  That is their "thing".  They don't support many coins at this time but they do support Monero.

I met someone from MorphToken a few weeks ago and they are an experienced group from a different venture, sorry but I forget who.

Cake wallet has integrated MorphToken into their wallet which makes it very easy to use.

Sounds like a good idea, and lower fees than the competition should be easy enough to achieve.

Wait I like Poutine...  it's not that one.

Shoulda never left Kansas. Undecided

Leaving Kansas was one of the best things I've done.  What a horrible 6 hours.

I never saw the problem with telling what BTC I have....1) in safety deposit box....try to get into that .thru the bank

Just on this point, and not personal to you, but for info for all: it's the bank who can steal from you 'safety deposit box'. Have you read a contract with them?

It is common for banks only to insure a box for up to 25k usd. and specifically exclude damage from robbery, fire, water... virtually anything (via @ascilifeform).

And "We will not have any liability to you or any third party for incidental or consequential damages.  If an arbitration proceeding is commenced, evidence that tends to prove that something was left in the Box on last authorized entry, and was found to be missing on the next entry, will not create a presumption that it was lost because we were negligent, intentional did anything wrong or failed to exercise ordinary care.  Nor will we be required to prove that the loss was not our fault."

Then there are executive orders and any number of men-in-black shenanigans.

Boxes are great, of course, for giving up a few coins to put them off one's trail.

I think they can work if you use partial (m of n) encrypted backups, and store them across n bank vaults in separate jurisdictions. I think this is what the Winks do, btw.

Banks.  Just No.  They are about as safe as... I dunno.  A sand castle built at low tide.

This word you use.  It is like p l a y, but the letters are all wrong...  Revisit, revise, and resubmit.

No. In 2014 hodlers were showing off screenshots of their bitstamp accounts with 250+ BTC.

What happens in WO stays in WO.

Im not supposed to be a gentlemen. Im supposed to be like a ratchet kid or a fierce warrior. I dont want to wear suits and ties and shit.

Indeed, voluntarily tying something around ones neck seems... ludicrous.  I make an effort to conform sufficiently to blend in when necessary, and no more.  Better to avoid those wearing uniforms and/or name tags rather than join the 'fun'...

... Now that you have read about Monero speculation for 2018, you may consider reading about Ripple speculation.

Yeah I think I'll take a big ole PASS on that one. But thank you for not linking it.

That reversal along with the btc raise almost tricked me but not quite. Cheesy

Capitulation question. Canadian exchanges have just thrown up a bundle of verification roadblocks to withdrawal to fiat. With hundreds of BTM's in most cities, what's to stop someone from going machine to machine cashing out?

link?

what kind of roadblocks?  what if one is already verified out the ass on multiple exchanges, domestically and internationally?

Quadriga will still courier bundles of cash, right?

So many pigs in here, trying to hope a trend reversal out of nothing. Just like in 2014.

2014 went up a 100% during one 3 month period. Did you forget that, or are you just blabbering something just to hear yourself talk?

What I remember about 2014 and 2015 were all the beartards chanting "$99, $99, $99." It was incessant and for months and months. Meanwhile smart people - like myself divested into small upstart cryptos and three years later were rewarded with 25000%+ gains.

So, yeah, I love a mutha fuck'n bear market as much as the next guy. I'm just not stupid about it.

windjc gave excellent advice back then.  I remember clearly, thinking it was probably a good idea to follow.  Wish I had  Tongue

There is nothing cool or funny about deridingly using people born with intellectual developmental disorder to mock yet another unfortunate group of people.

Well there definitely is something funny about seeing people get offended by people "deridingly using people born with intellectual developmental disorder". Everything can be funny anything can be the butt of a joke. If I had cancer I would still laugh at cancer jokes. You shouldn't be that surprised that someone like me would be involved in a project like this. Normies are the last people who would have their freedom of speech threatened. Edgy mc edgelord me will be the first of the chopping block. And what is a project like this even about if not freedom of speech?

Freedom of speech doesn't mean that you won't have consequences of whatever you want to express or say.

You obviously are in the same school as the other Legend who made a big deal about having a "skin". Like I said, mine is as thick as they come. But I just finally realized that y'all folks have a totally different definition of it. Having skin to y'all means letting things slide and not say anything to the contrary no matter how wrong they are because you wanna convince yourselves with the illusion of having thick skins. That's more like meekness in my book. It's like preventing yourselves from speaking up and standing up to bullies and what not...all because you wanna have that illusion of having the "skin". Whereas to me, it means having the gonads to stand up and confront anything that's not right and having the "skin" for whatever comes right back as a consequence. There lies the difference.

I thought we are involved in this endeavor/adventure to stand up to the bullies and not just take it and let it slide. That was the main idea, wasn't it?

I have no problem with laughter, at anything. being offended by laughter is... amusing.  If one would like to offer violence, that is a different matter entirely.  I don't think anybody was suggesting stoning or drowning of your sister  though.  I understand that is acceptable in some cultures, and while I don't agree, I also don't stick my oar in if you don't try to bring it to my house.  religious wars are a bitch.  More than enough on that subject for this venue.
