681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Sink to $1,850 Despite Bullish Crypto Momentum on: March 19, 2019, 04:06:06 PM
It's conceivable. If there was any sustained selling most would run screaming and let it fall. There are very few people out there willing to resist a concerted attempt to batter a price level. They come skulking back when it's all over and claim they knew it was going to happen all along.

I don't care any more about short ish term prices. What will be will be and nothing will change it.

It is, but I'm confident that there's a higher probability that Bitcoin has hit bottom, than going through another crash.

Bitmain has already showed its cards in anticipation of what might come, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122170.0 Cool

Well that goes for me as well. Trying to figure out short term movements for btc is quite stressful and if you can afford to go long then why take a bigger risk? I think if the price is still going to drop, it's not going to be far from where we're at right now.
682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Cheap Until April, We’ll Never See Price at $3,000 Again: Trader on: March 19, 2019, 04:01:49 PM
Hopefully, because bitcoin is down for so long but this is not guaranteed since many speculations that stating bitcoin will have its another dump before it finally go up. The market should be more active this time, we need to see bitcoin on top again but we have to wait for that.
I don't think anyone can provide a guarantee that the price of bitcoin can return to expensive if you don't support buying bitcoin, because you have to know to be able to make the increase in the price of bitcoin there must be someone who buys a lot of bitcoin.

Nothing is guaranteed... Everything is just a prediction.

It is for sure that bitcoin will rise again and will create a new ATH, but the question is when and how.
So far I don't see any concrete news or powerful activities from large entities which may lead bitcoin to its new ATH.

However, the bitcoin range from $3000-$4000 is best for accumulating as much as possible before the rocket launch to the moon imo.

yeah, unfortunately this rise to $4000 which keeps playing with it, has not been that strong so there is no rising signal which is partly why the investors are still not making a move to jump in and are instead waiting on the sidelines. this can be both a good and a bad thing because as the  rise starts they will start FOMO buying and that can cause a big spike.

Well i don't think it'll be as easy as before for people to jump into any fomos. People saw what the last hype did and what happened to those that got stuck when they fomo'd. Prepare for the long haul. Bitcoin may have bottomed out at 3.2k but it's going to be a long slow road to another ath
683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do You Believe Bitcoin Will Rise Again? on: March 19, 2019, 03:56:20 PM
Those who doesn't have trust are those people with weak hands and supporter of other coins.

Im a supporter of bitcoin but i dont deny that i sometimes loose my faith and trust on bitcoin especially in these times were bitcoin is still down and seem hard to recover . im pretty sure that other bitcoin users do also feel the same way as what i feel but at the end of the day i realize that bitcoin is too useful to be forgotten and resist by the public  .  the value can still grow in the future as soon as many new people will recognize on what is really bitcoin is  .

Well here's the thing. It's easy to lose faith in btc is follow it's movements from a short term perspective. If you base it from 2017 and 2018 charts, then what you'll get would be quite disheartening. Try to look at the bigger picture and you'll see that it isn't as bad as it seems and we're still on our way to mass adoption. The increase in price will come in time.
684  Economy / Speculation / Re: The end of the sideways market is only a few months a head. TA on: March 19, 2019, 03:53:30 PM
Even though there are valid concerns that past performances does not always equal what the future holds,

I used to believe in that up until last year. now what I believe in is basically the same thing but with an addendum! .... unless everyone in the market starts following the same trend!

there was no reason for the bear market to continue like this from the ATH. there was no reason for it to last this long or fall this much but it did following mostly the same trends as 2013 and 2014. and so far in 2019 we are following the 2015 patterns of stability and if we see a rise similar to that year then from now on I would expect the same nonsense to be repeated every 3 or 4 years!

Yeah me too. 2018 made me skeptical about following historical trends since that can prove to be a trap. Even if we're moving quite similar to the 2015 trend, no one knows until when that'll be the case. It can veer away at any time leaving those who follow 2015 trends in losses.
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin remain above $4000 this time around? on: March 19, 2019, 03:48:49 PM
I can't believe Bitcoin crossed the $4,000 line, in the weekend on the top of that. I feel like if Bitcoin is going to the moon soon. Cheesy
Of course, a lot of people will just sell. They didn't buy all their coins during the winter just to be swag, they all have the plan to sell it, but they won't wait to see BTC/$20k, they will do it perhaps around $8k.

I'm curious to see if BTC will go again below the $4,000 line now.
I don’t think people will really sell their pump at this time, if they wanted to sell when it clocked 4k, we would have seen a drastic dump in the price forcing the coin to go down below $4k immediately but as it stands now, many people are obviously waiting to see the end of it, I mean its peak.

I am also a holder and till I see Bitcoin get to $10k, I am not going to exchange it no matter the fluctuation that may arise within the time it accomplish that, for now, I really doubt if bitcoin will go below $4k again.

People filled their stock of bitcoins while the price was between $3,200 to $4,200. So, of course, they don't plan to sell them soon, even if the BTC continues its small rise. But if its value goes back to the $8,000, you can be sure they will start slowly to resell. Most people won't wait for a $15k-$20k and they aren't ready for another "slap to the moon" with a 70% crash later.

Well whales can play with the price and can easily pull it down again below 4k but those  that still remain holding btcs aren't weak hands anymore so yeah i doubt we'll go far down if ever. Perhaps in a few weeks we'll consistently be above 4k.
686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a future for BTC anymore? on: March 19, 2019, 01:55:55 PM
Quote
There is basically no progress at all for btc.. it keeps going down.

I disagreed with your statement. There is eventually a huge progress in bitcoin. Please do not judge bitcoin by it's price. Look at some development it performed in our life. We may not deny the fact that bitcoin makes our life more convenient. And the price of bitcoin now is starting to grow and recover.

Its not about how our life improve because of bitcoin . we are only talking about bitcoin here and there is no strong connection of our life to the price of bitcoin  . and its not true that bitcoin does not have a progress , if it does not then why do  you think the price rose from 3.9 k usd to 4k+ usd ?  And also the price of bitcoin before is only a hundred dollar but look at it now , the price is now over a thousand dollar .
There is still hope and progress in Bitcoin despite its bearish trend. Don't rush on things, it takes time for it to recover. Keep patience going while continuing to learn and exploring for more creative ideas. Its price is not the sole basis to hamper its developments. As the king of all cryptocurrencies it has so much potential to grow and its mass adoption will continue to increase. It has survived for years as it continues to change way of living and I don't think it can't surpass this time as I believe that it has a long way to go.

Lol. You're looking at it at a very shallow angle if you think progress depends on btc's price. Yeah it has a big effect on how majority of people view it, but bitcoin is more than it's value. Its technology and may very well shape how we do transactions in the future. The price would follow on its own.
687  Economy / Speculation / Re: What brings to crypto? on: March 19, 2019, 01:52:26 PM
What are the reasons number of investors get into crypto? Is it the secured system (blockchain) behind, or the value? I do feel my assets are much safer here with crypto secured system then banking. What really brings someone to crypto platform?

Well among all the things you've mentioned, i think the simplest answer would be the potential to make money. I mean, we're all used to keeping our money in banks and many doesn't even care about converting assets in crypto for it's security. Many people don't understand why they're here except for profit.
688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prices for March 2018, March 2019 and March 2020 and why. on: March 19, 2019, 01:32:23 PM
This should be expectation vs reality like what always happened  which is opposite. Lol And mate your prediction is too much i think. Because it looks very high to reach especially on this kind of situation which market always experience drastic fluctuations after the sudden rise.

Lol. Anyone can make their own predictions however they want and with whatever motives they have. I haven't seen an accurate prediction with crypto though so i guess i just wouldn't mind people making radical expectations.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: My prediction: in 4 months time we will reach 18,000,000 BTC @ 5555 USD each on: March 19, 2019, 01:25:22 PM
It's a decent target at the very least and quite realistic. If things go well in the next few months, we may even get past that 5.5k point. The market i think is preparing to move up but not the way that many would hope for. 5.5k is not as hard to hit as those saying a bull run will get us 7 or 8k in a few months.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 19, 2019, 01:22:28 PM
So the bullish predictors are starting to hide their real identity behind Twitter usernames. Grin
I don't like people like John McAfee or Mike Novogratz, but they deserve respect for standing with their real names behind their bullish predicitons. The price might reach 5K USD,or it might not.I've seen bullish predictions last year about the upcoming spring, none of them seems legit.Let's hope that this prediction will happen...
There are so many fictitious data that exists And that raises a lot of speculation. some unclear information has caused a lot of movement in the market that does not determine. this can be a concern because it can make uncertain panic. someone's figure does have a big impact on the perspective of the digital currency situation.

Well anyone's prediction is as good as others' and with the same chances of coming true. I think 5k is  decent target for the next few months and even if we don't hit that point, we're probably over 4k by then. Well, hopefully.
691  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think Doctors lie? on: March 18, 2019, 03:55:07 PM
It's going to be very hard to believe that they don't. Either to ease the pain of the patient or the patient's family, or simply for profit. I mean, i don't think they take it as a responsibility in their profession to tell the truth all the time. There are a whole lot of greedy doctors as there are lawyers, engineers, managers etc.
692  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin from Devil or from God? on: March 18, 2019, 03:48:49 PM
Lol. Satoshi nakamoto i'd say, whoever he is. It's like asking if whether the teapot on my cupboard came from god or the devil wherein it actually came from some potmaker somewhere. Do you really have to accredit everything to either of those two?
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: March 18, 2019, 03:40:56 PM
With all the money that Floyd Mayweather have in his pocket, its nothing new if he was picked as one of the aggressive celebrity gamblers.

By the way what is the difference between aggressive gamblers and gambling addict?

There`s no difference between the two. They both gamble continuously day and night, night and day. When they play, they don`t care anymore from their surroundings or the events that has been happening while they play.

Well i don't agree with you on that. Agressive gamblers tend to have a lot of funds to burn but have full control over the time they spend. When they're at the table you can notice them as the ones often raising bets. Afterwards though it may be nothing to them anymore. Unlike addicted gamblers who seem to have their world revolving around gambling.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: March 18, 2019, 03:36:55 PM
Gambling is purely a game of luck, i don't think that there isn't any working strategy out there. I myself have played some dice games, so i don't see any strategy there.

Lest assume that you play porker and sport betting, how does luck work?. Am in the opinion of Gambling strategies and not Gambling luck. Luck could be seen on dice, faucets games among others but not the two mentioned above(Porker and Sport Bet.). Have been in gambling for years back and always played according to my personal strategies and has never failed me. Learn to understand before Play.

Well we can also say that strategy doesn't only apply to poker and sportbets though. Luck games like dice and baccarat depend on luck for the result yes, but how you manage your time and funds needs to be well planned as well. The game is already randomly decided so better to have a good strategy on how you'll play your funds.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 18, 2019, 03:27:38 PM
Most of the time I faced more losses than what I supposed to lose before doing recovering in this process so my suggestion is that don't try to recover your money from gambling either it is small amount or big amount since everything will cause us to be in loss based on probability.
Assessing your engagement with gambling, it's real that each time we do tried recovering our loses mostly we lose more instead, gambling is a game of chances and luck, without that around you the end results will just be the same, needs to have good mindset and control your emotions.

Not every results will turned into negative, if you've got the chance to win then quit after and enjoy.

Well if you average it, the losses most of the time edges the wins and a big part of why that happens is because people are forcing to recover their losses. One bad thing often leads to another when you gamble. Good thing for me is that i never considered gambling to be that relevant in my life aside for entertainment so i don't try to recover losses that much.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 18, 2019, 03:24:23 PM
lol! Lecry got blocked! No wonder why the Lakers will miss the playoffs this year...Lecry cannot make his team win and he is the main problem of the Lakers.

There are many problems in the team right now and indeed Lecry is one of them. However, we should not blame only him for this mess in the Lakers team. LeBron James should be blamed as well because he is also part of it. He should be trying to unite the team as he has a strong influence to the players because he is the best player in the NBA.

Lol. Well it seems that with the way the lakers are heading right now, every small detail gets noticed. But who wouldn't. There were a lot of expectations with this team when lebron got in and they got booted out of playoff contention. Man the haters are having a festival everywhere 😂
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think a "winning mindset" can get you what you want while gambling? on: March 18, 2019, 02:55:12 PM
Imagine, if you really had some positive thinking with your bet but you only have 0% lucky. To be honest positive energy not enough to make you winning, you also need some strategy for your gambling play & money management.

It will better to use that positive energy to other things, and I am sure that he can get benefits from those things. The winning mindset could works if the luck comes so together, and we have a big chance to win in a gambling game. But without luck, no matter you have a strong positive mindset and you can spell over and over, the result to get a lose will bigger.

A winning mindset only comes in after you win. A positive mindset though is different since it takes away gambling's hold on your emotions. You won't have a hard time making sensible decisions like walking away and leaving if you're not dwelling on negative emotions like regret. A winning mindset on the other hand, can have the opposite effect.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: massive feb visitor collapse in Bitcointalk and Coinmarketcap founding websites on: March 18, 2019, 02:50:12 PM
There is no relationship between bitcoin price and visitors on coinmarketcap or even bitcointalk forum, these are simply updates channel and discussion channel respectively.
While I've noticed the drastic reduction in active users here in the forum, I wouldn't actually call it a disadvantage, we could hence have some good discussions as well as reduce or do away with those who want to get rich immediately

put a statistic over both and we can discuss this claim.

there is 100% a correlation

and i am afraid that this forum indicates the future.

because there was first this forum and then there was a bitcoin price.

Agree on the guy above .  price does not affect the number of users in the forum or on the coinmarketcap , there is another reason on why the users decline because maybe they are busy especially on this quarter because they need to foccus on their studies in order for them to graduate  . some are also busy preparing for the summer , they travel out of town and that result for them to go offline for a longer time  .

Well another thing would be the number of spammers and new accounts obviously made just for bounties and campaigns. Some discussions have several irrelevant threads from btctalk users who are only trying to hit the number of posts required from them instead of posting replies that make sense.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was robbed :'( please refer … PLEASE HELP ME ! on: March 18, 2019, 01:50:00 PM
look like beggar stolen your eth 2 day ago. before that's time what you do?, what wallet you save your balance?
all safety measures, open

Before anyone could know what likely happened, you'll have to explain in details how your held those Ethers, Wallets used, Mobile or PC ? Did you recently installed any Software (Malware) that you think could have had you compromised ?
I'm guessing he used a web wallet, his typing is atrocious and he misspelled mew and went to a phishing site and entered his stuff.

If this is true and these were his coins, by someone with $6k worth of crypto wouldn't own a $60 hardware wallet beats me.

Yeah, you'd think that a person having that much in his wallet would know better in safeguarding his assets. Mew has been compromised in the past already so i wouldn't risk that many coins in an online wallet regardless of how popular it may be.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk calls cryptocurrency 'brilliant' while predicting end of paper money.. on: March 18, 2019, 01:44:57 PM
End of paper money? that's bit over the top. You can't just abolish something that took years to build, BTC is still very new.

Not saying will not happen but considering the fact that Bitcoin is a growing technology will not replace fiat immediately rather will keep developing and taking the fiat off its usual position. Even after the adoption of Bitcoin, it will take it some time to get ride off fiat, even though it will. In my opinion, the two are complement of each other and should have their purpose.

Well we all know elon musk is a visionary and is all for technological advancement, so he may have taken that statement a little further but who knows. I agree that in time, the way we do things may change and crypto could be that change for how we do regular daily transactions.
