Putin is backstabbing Novorussia once again. First he wants safe passage for the ~10,000 Ukrainian soldiers trapped in various pockets. Now he wants the Novorussians to release the 10,000+ Kiev soldiers whom they have captured, in exchange for just 10 Russian soldiers. IMO, Putin only cares about money. The DPR and LNR rulers, if they have any commonsense should say NO to Putin. Don't let the murderers go free. Exterminate them.

703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: August 30, 2014, 10:50:35 AM
By the way, you guys are cheering on the progress of the rebels, and apparently think that this issue can be fully resolved just by rebels pushing off Ukrainian military, taking over cities, and holding their territory at a new border. As if by succeeding in this, they will win and the fight will be over. Don't fool yourselves. There are a lot of people living in those areas, especially cities, who do not support Russia, and do not want to join it.

You're right, no question about it. That's why I am not commenting some rather euphoric posts mentioning march on Kharkov, Odessa... even Kiev. It's not realistic. Even if it was, in strictly military sense, there is no point. Ethnic Ukrainians are generally dissatisfied with their government and situation in their country, but vast majority of them are not for Novorossiya. Put them under too much pressure and they will resist. So, rebels should be focused to take and defend areas where people are actually supporting them. To underestimate their shaken but still very capable opponent would be a huge mistake.

So... why "talke"  Mariupol...?

Are these people waiting for the rebels ? Doesn't look like this to me.

I've heard those myths and heard them again busted time over time.
No nato plane should have come back from Serbia , no plane or tank from Irak none from Afghanistan yet all got crushed in one week

s-400? never tested in actual battle?
You compare an army that has been tested in battle conditions for the last 70 years with all the modern technology with an army which is fed propaganda each day that they are the best with no combat experience and with 30-40 years old weapon systems.

And don't forget..
Nobody had a clue about the f117 the b2 or the sr-71

And all those are retired but money keep going into the so called "black projects".
The russian won't even know what hit them till the war is over.

Serbians never had any S-400 or S-300 systems. However they managed to down some planes (f117 incl.) by using ancient S-3 SAMs. I'd suggest to do some research on those "30-40 years old weapon systems". BTW underestimating an opponent isn't a wise thing.

Research on what....
Neither the s300 not the s400 have seen actual combat

They might be formidable but just as well they might prove useless and with the recent wars seeing tons of tons of Russian weapons turned into scrapmetal by the us forces I incline to the second of those two

As expected, NATO is talking about using their air force or sending in a "coalition" to repel the "Russian invasion"

http://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/natosource/us-and-europe-have-a-feasible-military-option-for-defending-ukraine

I lose a little more faith in this world everyday.

I don't think that NATO will ever send any military force to Ukraine. Poland, Romania.etc might pressure for a NATO intervention, but all the main "donor" nations (France, Germany, Italy.etc), with the exception of the UK are going to oppose this measure. In case if NATO sends any of their jets to bomb the rebels in Ukraine, then not a single one will come back. Russia will immediately arm the rebels with S-400 Triumf SAMs.

I've heard those myths and heard them again busted time over time.

Seems like the rebels don't have enough manpower to take Mariupol.  Angry

They have taken a few of the neighboring towns and villages, but the city itself remains firmly in the Ukrainian control. Worser still, some of the NAF fighters are trapped in the Demyanovka - Cheryopolye pocket. Had they captured Mariupol, then it would have been much easier to get supplies from Abkhazia.

Indeed.  TAKE Mariupol

You had no problem with that when bryan.prorussian was posting his daily 100 posts here Wink.

There are some differences. I was averaging 50-100 posts per day uniformly, while you were posting 200 posts per day on 16th and 17th (PD payout dates) and then remaining idle for the remaining 28 days.

And you are posting only 10 a day right now because ....Wink.

http://www.dawn.com/news/1078012

-> Pakistan imports $346M USD worth of urea in just 1 year (thats about 1 million metric tonnes). That is the entire supply of URO consumed by just a single country in 1 year.

http://www.thehindu.com/business/Industry/india-imported-192billion-urea-during-aprjan/article5713649.ece

-> India imported $1.92B USD worth of urea (6.79 million tonnes) in less than 1 year, that is 6X the total supply of URO consumed by just a single country, in less than 1 year.

http://www.slideshare.net/resakssasia/theng-vuthy-fertiliser-sector-cambodia

-> Cambodia, a nation with only 14M people, produces 500K tonnes of fertilizer and still imports another 250K tonnes per year. At least half of this is urea.

http://www.agrimoney.com/news/urea-prices-face-threat-of-temporary-slump--5848.html

-> China shipped out 600K tonnes of urea exports in just 2 months, that is net exports after domestic consumption.
-> In 2012, the US raised urea imports by 18% to 6.9m tonnes
-> Brazil imported 870K tonnes of urea in just 3 months

All this numbers mean nothing...
There are thousands of tons of chicken and pork meat bought and traded everyday but nobody is using chickencoin or porkcoin for this.

710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea, Ukraine, Poland- the way to Western Europe Russo-Mania style! [free] on: August 28, 2014, 01:31:04 PM
Liberation of what?Huh Sorry but I can't help laughing when you use russian for it... why?

Chișinău. Happy? Maybe for the same reason English say Crimea and not Krym, Moscow and not Moskva.  I can't help laughing when they use english for it... why?

You have to make it more clear.. who wants this , Romania or Moldova , if it's the second I don't see any reason not too.
But I have to say I'm against a reunification right now
Neither, if a referendum was conducted.

Because the veterans of the Soviet Army liberating Moldova now got the same status as those fighting on the side of Germans and Romanians. (Going the same path as Ukraine and Baltic, where the punitive Nazi battalions of the 1940s are the new heroes)

Because the Russian veterans had the same habits of liberating a country and then forgetting the way back.

Here you go again. I said, Soviet, not Russian, don't mix that up, will you - the veterans include Moldavian, as well as representatives of other republics. If Romanians have issues, they should address them to Georgia. Wink

Bottom line is...
Russia has nothing to say in this matter.
It's an internal affair between Romania and Moldova.

The really bottom line is, is an internal affair of Moldova only, not even Romania.

However, as long as a large portion of a population (especially in the East, Transnistria, bordering to the Russian-speaking part of Southern Ukraine) does not want to become Romanian and doesn't want to be forcefully Romanised, then those people will be looking towards Russia for support, just as Moldovians of Romanian descent in the West-Moldova will seek support in Romania. And then there is a wildcard in the form of the gipsies.

1) Probably you haven't realized but I use the word Bucharest not Bucuresti when I write in an English forum Wink.

2) I'm getting confused ... if none wants it who wants it?

3) I don't know any soviet people. I know that a russian army is still located in Transnistria and is still there from 50 years ago

4) Good. Let Moldova decide. And shouldn't Russia stop trying to tell Moldova what it is bets for them also?

PS.
You haven't approach the subject of the name changing.....

711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea, Ukraine, Poland- the way to Western Europe Russo-Mania style! [free] on: August 28, 2014, 12:39:32 PM
Wrong.
Because a couple of days ago Moldavian veterans were celebrating the liberation of Kishenjov.

Liberation of what?Huh Sorry but I can't help laughing when you use russian for it... why?

Wrong.
Because the Belskij street, named after the commander conducting the liberation of Kisjenjov from Romanian troops got renamed, despite protests of the residents.

I can't find Stalingrad on the map either....

Wrong.
Because there are open calls in the political top that Romania should just annex Moldova.

You have to make it more clear.. who wants this , Romania or Moldova , if it's the second I don't see any reason not too.
But I have to say I'm against a reunification right now

Because the veterans of the Soviet Army liberating Moldova now got the same status as those fighting on the side of Germans and Romanians. (Going the same path as Ukraine and Baltic, where the punitive Nazi battalions of the 1940s are the new heroes)

Because the Russian veterans had the same habits of liberating a country and then forgetting the way back.

Moldova is going the same path of hatred-building that Ukraine took over the last decades. Moldova is not yet ready to be unleashed - the young generation has not yet been fully-indoctrinated. It's a ticking bomb slated to go off in a few years.

Yeah , there is hope for some of them. Those that are trying to get into Romania at all cost and escape the constant russification...
There were a lot of protests when the communist party tried to promote Russian as a second language and they had to abandon the project.

Bottom line is...
Russia has nothing to say in this matter.
It's an internal affair between Romania and Moldova.

712  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: August 28, 2014, 11:59:19 AM
Before the conflict in Ukraine started you had no post in politics and society..
After that you have no posts on the other boards....

I am still here. It struck too close home - my family has ties to Crimea and Odessa, I also spent almost all summers of my childhood there. I couldn't sit and watch as another Yugoslavia unfolded, with one-sided ad-nauseum stories in the local media. You don't see me commenting (much) on the Middle-East conflicts - letting those who have ties to that region do the commenting. I only have that much free time. Translating takes time, getting into the situation takes time, other boards (especially the wall observer were sacrificed).

Besides, I hope my posts differ from a regular NATO-troll. I try to translate, inform, call to reason. It is my belief that conflicts such as in Ukraine, are born from ignorance and misunderstanding, leading to fear and murder, yet it does not spring up unaided - such hatred needs to be specifically fostered.

I am also painfully aware that a single commenter such as myself won't change anything. Those who can use their heads and analyse the situation can see what is really happening. Those who get swayed by my arguing, will as easily be swayed by someone else in a different direction, and those, blinded by genuine  hatred and bloodlust, or simply well-paid will continue their destructive work.

However, if you just give up and give in, people in Russia and Eastern-Europe would have been talking German by now, as an example...

Nemo , I was just using you as a whataboutism target to myshowwhatishisname post....

Recently after reading about it I find it very useful instead of trying to make my point just to shift the discussion to blame others.
Typical whataboutism and it feels good to use it against the ones that started it.
713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea, Ukraine, Poland- the way to Western Europe Russo-Mania style! [free] on: August 28, 2014, 11:52:45 AM

You are missing Moldova here, where West-Ukrainian-style ethnic unrest is being fomented now, and which will be unleashed soon. The hand of Romania is seen pretty strongly there, and well as worshipping of Nazi-german army collaborators. Familiar?

Why did I anticipate this attack?
Probably because of this?

Typically , who is not bowing to our propaganda and dares having a different opinion is a nazi spammer.
715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: August 28, 2014, 11:30:51 AM
Two more (new) trolls in one day. I say NATO is getting desperate. The amount of unleashed trolls and the acidity of their droppings is a sure indicator. And they are peaking for the second time since May.

I wonder where the real nemo is....
Before the conflict in Ukraine started you had no post in politics and society..
After that you have no posts on the other boards....

BTW, there's a CIA tactic to insert sleeper trolls in forums to moderate and control the narratives. BItcointalk is priority being a financial one and financial control is the game of their masters. So don't be fooled by longstanding members, or that they are seniors. It only means they were inserted right from the start. They are just being reactivated for targeted events, like this. THey are now desperate, going for broke so apparently they reactivated 5 (I just started reading the back comments but I've been away for a month, I don't know if there are still others, there might be more).

Doesn't this apply to you better than anyone else on this forum?
716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 28, 2014, 11:07:28 AM
You poor bastards..
After the MtGox fiasco, no one with a college degree will invest any serious sums before they can have proper legal guarantee from the exchanges and it will finally become clear what exactly happened to the missing MtGox coins. People are only guessing at the moment, that maybe someone stole those coins over time and sold them already. But this guesstimate is useless, and it's just as probable that the coins were stolen in one big heist and now someone has the power to crash the entire market to it's knees.
Bitcoin price is currently only experiencing these small pump'n'dump waves, while money is slowly moving out of the market. The market is currently only a playground for gamblers and fanatics.

FTFY

After the gox fiasco nobody with a kindergarden degree will store his coins on an exchange.

This and only this and nothing more.

BBC lies have been exposed, once more. Here is a map published by the BBC yesterday, showing the rebel held areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts. Note the city of Lugansk, which seems to be completely surrounded by the Ukrainian forces.

The Russian aid convey, which entered through the Izvarino check-post unloaded most of its cargo in the city of Lugansk yesterday, without ever coming in to contact with the Ukrainian forces. Also, remember that the convey was accompanied by some 500 rebel fighters. So my question is, if Lugansk is completely surrounded by the Ukrainian forces, how did the convey reached that city?

Don't tell me that this is what happened:

You tell me...
Probably they quoted a guy living in south china sea on a raft who claims that he holds all the truth in his laptop..

The good news is that the Russian humanitarian convoy has reached the city of Krasnodon, and is on its way to the devastated city of Lugansk. It is not yet known whether the convoy will reach there safely, as parts of the Krasnodon-Lugansk highway are under the control of Ukrainian Army (especially the territory near the Lugansk Airport and the city of Lutugino).

The latest reports are that the convoy has divided itself in to two parts, each heading to different directions after reaching the town of Molodogvardeysk (the larger convoy is heading towards Lugansk).

720  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a socially fair currency on: August 21, 2014, 01:56:36 PM
Of the world's over 7 billion people, how many can today afford or even practically buy bitcoins? Not many percentage wise. And someone said that 70% of the U.S. population today don't even know what bitcoin is.

So how is that fair? It isn't. Because the opportunity to buy early is very lopsidedly distributed in society.

What about in the future? Let's say that a fraction of a percent of the world's population become very wealthy by having bought bitcoins early. The price of one bitcoin has become extremely high. Would that be a fair monetary system? Could be! Cheesy Why? Price/performance is progressing exponentially for information technology, and as Ray Kurzweil has pointed out, even material goods are becoming information technology.

This means that within a few decades people will be able to 3D print a Big Mac for free. And a decade after that, a flying Ferrari can be 3D printed for free. And then how many bitcoins you own will not matter that much. Ha ha.

Yesterday , today and tomorrow and probably in 10 years people will still be able to purchase 100$ worth of bitcoins.
They will purchase indeed less bitcoin but still people will be able to purchase them.

As for the part with printing a Ferrari , you will still need the materials for it , it's not just plugin in the printer put a few papers in the feeder and there goes your Ferrari.
